I have a project running on my Stm32H7. I imported my ethernetif/lwip settings from the Stm32CubeH7 H723 lwip + freertos http server example, but made some small changes. For the most part in the most basic sense, the driver works and my board at least gets a DHCP lease and responds to ping, but I am getting an assert:"Assertion "pbuf_free: p->ref > 0" failed at line 753 in [......]/LwIP/src/core/pbuf.c"I've read so many topics on the state of Ethernet in the Stm32H7. Because of the ST community manager locking threads where fixes are discussed, I honestly don't know the current state of the drivers, except I can guess that this is an issue having to do with pbufs getting clobbered. I've seen the large zip file from https://community.st.com/t5/embedded-software-mcus/bug-fixes-stm32h7-ethernet/td-p/281420, but I don't know how out of date this is or how many of these issues have truly been fixed now. If the drivers in the CubeH7 drivers are working, what am I doing

Has anyone here tried to stream Youtube or old playing games on STM32MP257?144p, 240p, 360, 780p, 1080p etc. Quake, Doom, Half-Life, perhaps Half-Life 2 as well. What was your experience and limitations? Very curious to know.

Hi folks,I am trying to implement a dual bank OTA system on my STM32F429IGT6 using DBM1 and BFB2 in the STMCubeProgrammer, but I'm having trouble booting into the second flash region (which I will call app_b from now on, along with app_a for the first flash region). By my logic, each app will have 512KB of flash memory, so app_a will start at 0x08000000, and app_b will start at 0x08080000. Through some online digging, I saw that having one linker script per app is what I should be doing, with each app's flash being its address that I mentioned before, but then set the app_b vector table offset to 0x00080000, so theoretically app_b can start at 0x08080000 because that's the result from the OR operation of 0x08000000 and 0x00080000. So here is my normal testing routine: Build App_A, note version number --> generate a .bin file through a post build commandFlash App_A with start address 0x08000000 in the CubeProgrammerAppend Version Number to see changeBuild App_B --> generate .

Hi Team,I'm currently transitioning from using UART interrupt with timeout to DMA-based reception on an STM32G4 controller. I’d like to implement a similar behavior where I can detect the end of a UART message using idle line detection while receiving data via DMA.Is there a recommended way to combine DMA reception with UART idle timeout on STM32G4? Specifically:Are there any best practices or example configurations for this setup?

I have developed software on the Nucleo-L433RC-P development board which uses the STM32L433RCT6P MCU (the P defines it has 2 x VDD12 pins for an external SMPS).However, I have designed a PCB that uses the STM32L433RCT6 (no VDD12 pins) but want to continue developing the software on the development board until my PCB arrives. To retarget the MCU, I edited the .ioc file and changed STM32L433RCTxP to STM32L433RCTx.I flashed the software to the Nucleo-L433RC-P board, but I am getting strange and random issues. It seemed to work to start with, but after several further flashes it stopped working with the error shown below...I'm not sure but it seems to go to a reset handler in "startup_stm32l433rctxp.s"....The console shows the following error...STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Hello,I'm encountering an issue while testing the Standby Mode on my device. Most of the time, the device enters and wakes from Standby Mode successfully. However, after repeated testing, it occasionally fails to enter the mode. What could be the potential causes for this failure?Any suggestions on how to approach debugging this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

I have 4 screens in my application and I want to change screens from code. For instance, I have a dynamic list of item in a View and, depending on which element is currently selected, at the press of a button it should take to another screen.I generated the methods to change screen by setting Interactions from Designer FX that I know for sure they will not be triggered. So a simple `application().gotoMyScreenNoTransition()` in the same View should work. However, when writing the method inside the View to call from the Presenter, I see that the applications blocks on the function `makeTransition`. I don't even execute that methods that changes screens, simply writing the code to do that seems to block the whole process. This is where I get blocked:Remind that I don't even define the transitions by myself, so I should not edit the FrontendHeap, should I?

I have a STM32H730 device, with a STLINKV3-SET connected via SWD (3 pins). When I Connect using STM32CubeProgrammer I get the following popup message;Error: Database: There's no active configuration for this device. All the 4 configurations are disabled! However the Connection appears to be okay, I can read/modify the SRAM memory and erase the Flash. So what does this error mean?Does is need to be addressed? I have updated STM32CubeProgrammer and the STLINKV3-SET firmware to latest.Thank you.

Hello,I'm working on an adapter USB to Ethernet and it is working only as a DEVICE. Now I would like to do the same but I want my STM to work as HOST.Is ST providing the same code stm32-mw-usb-device but for host? Thanks,G.

Hi all,I'm working with the STM32F769I-DISCO board and using TouchGFX for GUI development. When I build and flash the project through STM32CubeIDE, everything works fine — the LCD displays as expected. However, when I flash the generated .hex file using STM32CubeProgrammer, the board resets and runs, but the LCD stays blank. I’ve verified that the program is running (e.g., with an LED), but no graphics appear. Here’s what I’ve already done:SDRAM is initialized via MX_FMC_Init(), and it calls BSP_SDRAM_Initialization_Sequence().LCD and DSI are initialized in MX_LTDC_Init() and MX_DSIHOST_DSI_Init().TouchGFX is initialized using MX_TouchGFX_Init().The framebuffer is mapped to SDRAM (0xC0000000).Boot config and option bytes are correct (BOOT from main flash). The .hex and .bin are both generated and tested — same issue.Backlight GPIO is set high manually. It seems like CubeIDE is doing something extra that CubeProgrammer does not — possibly initializing QSPI, DSI, or loading something into RA

Hello ST Community,I am currently using the EVSPIN32F0251S1 inverter board to control a BLDC motor in an elevator door control application. When I run my BLDC motor in torque mode and set torque with this api  MC_ProgramTorqueRampMotor1_F() so my motor is rapidly rotating and after 1 second it will give me startup failure error.Thank you in advance for your support. Best regards,Vedant Kachhadiya

Hello, I have a problem with a PCB with an STM32F410. This board is used in the field, and in some cases, it freezes, and only works by reflashing the firmware. We're using some data in the Flash (emulated EEPROM) to write data, about 18 bytes, written to sector 1 of the flash. When reading these microcontrollers that came from the field, I notice that sector 0 has invalid data, preventing the microcontroller from booting. The writes are performed sporadically according to certain button commands, and only the read is performed when the code starts to check the status of these variables.I performed several bench tests with noise generators and several continuous writes to memory to see if this could be a problem, but I was unable to reproduce the problem. My power supply is stable, and when I input electrical noise signals, the microcontroller freezes, but it recovers after a watchdog reset.I also reviewed the PCB to check for layout issues, but I didn't find anything that could cause a

Hi,I would like to use the VIPER319HDTR and would like to check the thermal to see if Tj will be an acceptable value. However, the switching losses of the internal FET are not mentioned. Is the switching time of the internal FET known? Or is there another way I can verify the thermals of the device?Thank you in advance!Kind regards,Beau Wilmink

Hello, I'm using Nucleo-WL55JC cards and I wanted to know if it was possible to use them as gateways, partly to connect the radio world to the internet (LoRaWAN), and partly to extend the range of my network (by dispersing multiple gateways everywhere).Note: there would only be a single "sensor" device that would send its data to the nearest gateway. This "sensor" device is also a Nucleo-WL55JC. Thanks in advance. Best regards, KYZ.

Hi!I have the STEVAL-PROTEUS with FP-SNS-DATAPRO1 v1.1.0 programmed on it.Everything works now as expected, except this: Once I completed a sensor acquisition, I cannot configure the board to a mass storage device to retrieve the data file on my PC. And yes, I connect it with a USB cable.According the "Quick Start Guide", it should be done inside the BLE sensor app selecting the "Proteus Data Logging" demo settings. But there is no hamburger button as described in the manual! I only see a list of Sensors. I have ST BLE Sensor v5.2.5 on iPhone.I also tried to change my profile to expert, but it remains to say "I am a beginner" somehow....Any idea's? I miss something here....BR Martin

Hi all,I am working on a QSPI driver for W25Q512 flash memory (extloader for stm32cubeprogrammer and main firmware driver). I had a look at the errata ES0392 - Rev 13 and I have a question about paragraph 2.8.4: 2.8.4 - QUADSPI internal timing criticality --------------- Description The timing of some internal signals of the QUADSPI peripheral is critical. At certain conditions, this can lead to a general failure of the peripheral. As these conditions cannot be exactly determined, it is recommended to systematically apply the workaround as described. ... [omissis]   I have applied the suggested patch on the "external loader" driver and there is no particular problem in applying it,  but I have also the "very similar" driver on the main application firmware in processor.   Up to now I had no errors in the main firmware qspi driver : read and write are ok also without the patch.   Applying the patch on the "main firmware" needs testing and I have to schedule this te

Hi, all.I'm using STM32H747I-DISCO.I tried STemWinHelloWorld example, and "Hello world!" string was displayed on LCD properly.I added EXTI IRQ. And I confirmed when EXTI IRQ occur, it went to EXTI15_10_IRQHandler.Then I added proccess that display "How are you?" string in EXTI15_10_IRQHandler, as shown below.void EXTI15_10_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(GpioInt_Pin); /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 1 */ GUI_DispStringAt("How are you?", (LCD_GetXSize()-100)/2, (LCD_GetYSize()-20)/4); /* USER CODE END EXTI15_10_IRQn 1 */ }But when EXTI IRQ occur, "How are you?" string was not displayed on LCD, although it go to EXTI15_10_IRQHandler.And I confirmed below action.I added proccess that display "Fine!" string in MainTask() followed by GUI_Delay(1000), as shown below.void MainTask(void) { GUI_Clear(); GUI_SetFont(&GUI_Font32_1); GUI_DispSt

Hello everyone,I need a starting INI file for an STM32H753.I'm using the NUCLEO-H753ZI evaluation board.I'm using sample projects for various peripherals: GPIO, ADC, TIM, ... . My IDE is Keil uVision.Using the sample projects, it's easy to debug the microcontroller behavior. All debugger features are accessible and work correctly: Watch, Memory, Peripherals, Logic Analyzer, etc.My goal is to prepare an initialization file (.ini) to configure Keil debugger at the following path:Options->Debug->Initialization fileThis initialization file, in addition to providing the debugging functions mentioned above (Watch, Memory, Peripherals, Logic Analyzer, ... ), will allow me to read/write information from/to flash memory when loading my executable onto the board. Can anyone recommend an ini file to start for the STM32H753?.Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.Bye,Matteo

Hello,I came across this document here https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00622045-stm32h7-series-lifetime-estimates-stmicroelectronics.pdfWe have a H75x custom board running the MCU in VOS1 at 400MHz with external 1.2V core power supply.According to this description hereAccording to Figure 2, when VOS1, VDD = 3.3 V, VCORE = 1.2 V and operation ratio of 100%. Some examples are illustrated such as: • Tj = 105°C the lifetime estimation is > 10 years • Tj = 125°C the lifetime estimation is 4 years • Tj = 140°C the lifetime estimation is 2 years In the same conditions and for an operation ratio of 20%, the lifetime estimation is as following: • Tj = 125°C the lifetime estimation is 20 years • Tj = 140°C the lifetime estimation is 10 yearsthe power consumption, heat dissipation and lifetime is influenced by "operation ratio". What does operation ratio mean and how can I influence/control it? Does this mean that only a part of chip silicon is powered/used? Or time spen

Greetings, I'm having an issue with low-power modes. I'm using a STM32U585 MCU and while in run mode it is consuming around 100mA, which is a lot. I tried to enter in Sleep, Stop and Standby modes right after the main declaration:int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemPower_Config(); SystemClock_Config(); PeriphCommonClock_Config(); HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI); ...The thing is, the current just drops from 100mA to 70mA, which is still a lot. Any clue why the circuit is consuming so much current? Thank you
