STM8L experts, I need your help!        Our company’s legacy product uses the STM8L052R8 microcontroller. Currently, an important customer requires additional functionality that involves using a GPIO pin to detect the state of an external switch.        We developed test code in IAR and selected GPIOG_PIN2 as an input, configuring it in  floating input mode or pull-up input mode. The PG2 input pin is pulled up to VCC with a  4.7KΩ resistor and can be pulled down to GND through a switch, allowing us to apply either 3.3V (high) or 0V (low) to the pin. However, during testing, we observed the following issues: The input voltage at PG2 changes between high and low, but the read input state does not update accordingly. During IAR debugging: The PG_DDR register shows DDR2 = 0, confirming PG2 is in input mode. The PG_IDR register shows IDR2 = 0

Hello ST Community,I am designing a FOC motor controller using STM32G4 and want to use 3 separate ADCs (ADC1, ADC2, ADC3) in injected mode for simultaneous 3-phase current sampling.I know that some microcontrollers have triple-mode ADCs, which allow all three ADCs to start and finish simultaneously. My question is:1. When TIM1_TRGO is triggered, do all three ADCs start converting simultaneously, or is there a sequential order (ADC1→ADC2→ADC3)?2. What is the safest way to read an ADC for FOC algorithm?I am very new to this field, so please excuse me.Best regards

I am working on establishing HART communication using an STM32H723ZG Nucleo board, a Maxim DS8500 HART modem, and a 2088 Pressure Transmitter (4–20 mA + HART). Hardware Setup: STM32H723ZG USART3 → Debug to PC (115200, 8N1, no parity) USART6 → Connected to DS8500 D_IN/D_OUT (1200 baud, 8 data bits, odd parity, 1 stop bit) GPIOs: PE0 → DS8500 RST (Active Low) PA0 → DS8500 RTS (Low=TX, High=RX) PB0 → DS8500 OCD (Input, carrier detect) DS8500 Connections (per Maxim datasheet and app note): MODE = High (for HART mode) 3.6864 MHz crystal connected between XTAL1/XTAL2 REF decoupled with 0.1 µF FSK_IN/OUT connected to the HART loop via the recommended RC filters Loop: 2088 transmitter powered (24 V, 4–20 mA loop). Software: USART6 configured at 1200 bps, 8E1 (actually 8 data bits + odd parity + 1 stop). GPIO configured: PE0 default high (releases reset) PA0 high (sets DS8500 in RX/demodulator mode) PB0 input (read OCD) Debug prints OCD state ever

Hello,I am having trouble with a call to HAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA() to transfer data to our audio codec.Buffer stored in RAM: unsigned char sweep_tone[80000]. For the sake of this demo, I've filled the buffer with 16-bit samples counting from 0 - 39999.The SAI interface is configured for 16KHz, 16-bit samples, mono (i.e., data is the same on both channels)When I call HAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA(&hsai_BlockB1, pBuffer, 500); the first 500 samples are continuously transferred, as expected. I confirmed this by monitoring the I2S signal with a Saleae. However, when I call HAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA(&hsai_BlockB1, pBuffer, 40000); the I2S only shows the values 0 to 7231 being clocked out.The number 7231 is interesting to me. The size argument to HAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA() is 16 bits, and UINT16_MAX =65535. If there's a conversion someplace in the HAL calls that converts 40000 samples to 80000 bytes, this would overflow to 14465 bytes, which is 7232.5 samples, truncated to 7232, which

I followed the tutorial from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JPys9B497c to practice setting up BLE.After flashing to the NUCLEO-WBA55CG, the ST BLE Toolbox app still cannot detect the device.I also noticed that after it executes: UTIL_LPM_EnterLowPower(); the program seems to stop. From the UART1 log, I only see:==>> Start Ble_Hci_Gap_Gatt_Init functionSuccess: aci_hal_write_config_data command - CONFIG_DATA_PUBADDR_OFFSETPublic Bluetooth Address: 00:08:e1:2a:12:34Success: aci_hal_write_config_data command - CONFIG_DATA_IR_OFFSETSuccess: aci_hal_write_config_data command - CONFIG_DATA_ER_OFFSETSuccess: aci_hal_set_tx_power_level commandSuccess: aci_gatt_init commandSuccess: aci_gap_init commandSuccess: aci_gatt_update_char_value - Device NameSuccess: aci_gatt_update_char_value - AppearanceSuccess: hci_le_set_default_phy commandSuccess: aci_gap_set_io_capability commandSuccess: aci_gap_set_authentication_requirement command==>> End Ble_Hci_Gap_Gatt_Init

I use STM32CubeIDE version 1.14.1. When I'm in debug mode, the Values in the "Live Expressions" window are weird and wrong. However, I found out that after editing and putting a random value in one of the fields, it will be fixed.Beginning:  After writing a number:

I'm unable to run uninstaller.jar in the the uninstaller folder to uninstall STM32CubeProgrammer.

编译正常，也能识别到stlink，但是没办法运行调试烧录，也没办法升级stlink固件 ，一烧录就显示以下报错，目前没找到解决办法，但网上已有与我相同问题的用户 Translationn: The compilation is normal and stlink can be recognized, but I can't run the debug burn, nor can I upgrade the stlink firmware. The following error is displayed when burning. I haven't found a solution yet, but there are users with the same problem as me on the Internet

Could someone tell me what type of diode I have? I can't find any data.L X GP128I appreciate your help.

I was following the tutorial (Get started with STM32Cube for VS Code: from installation to debugging - YouTube) when I managed to find a nasty footgun. STM32CubeMx will allow you to create a project whose name contains a space, and then if you set the toolchain to CMake, it generates the code fine, but if you load the project into STM32Cube for VSC and try to build, you will get all kinds of cryptic CMAKE error messages caused by the space in the project name. Now, STM32CubeMx does have some input validation. It only prevents you from initially generating the project IF you have space in the name and you set the toolchain to CMake BEFORE you generate the code, but that's it. If you save the IOC with a space, save the project as with a space, you generate under any of the other toolchains then switch to CMake, you'll trigger this error.I burned a few hours on this, so I thought it would be worth bringing up to save someone else the headache in the future. You might want to implement some

Background:I recently bought a STM32 blue pill and STLink V2 online. This is my first time using a STM board, I am quite familiar with arduino, esp and 8051(Proteus simulation). Problem:I have attached the 'error.png' file below it is a 'failed to start GDB server error' (for people who cannot for some reason see the file). I have done the following troubleshooting steps, which I found on chatgpt, youtube and this community:1) Check debugger configuration settings. (attached screenshots)2) Tried lowering the debug frequency from 'Auto'.3) Tried all reset behaviors: 'Connect under reset', 'Software reset' etc...4) Upgraded the stlink firmware5) Checked and found 'STM32 STlink' is showing up in the device manager6) Only have windows defender on my laptop, still I excluded entire 'STM32CubeIDE_1.19.0' folder.7) Re-did the wiring and everything seems correct.8) Rebooted everything twice and didn't work9) Tried clean the project, delete and remake the debug configuration file and compl

Dear Sir,I am working on reading values from 10 ADC channels of the STM32WB55CGU6 (WeAct Studio board). However, I am not getting the correct voltage readings. Please note the following details about my setup:I am using USB (Virtual COM Port) to print the values.I have set the reference to 3.3 V.The ADC output is not stable, and temperature readings are also included.I would like to properly calibrate the ADC so that I can obtain accurate values, including the temperature in degrees Celsius. I have attached my code for your reference. The main issues I am facing are:Around 70 mV offset – up to 70 mV, the ADC prints 0 V.The ADC values are not stable – they vary by about 100 mV.Could you please review my code and guide me on how to correctly calibrate the ADC for stable and accurate results?Your support will be very helpful.

Hi! I wish you are doing great! My problem is, I'm working on nucleo-f439zi board, in the reference manual, in register Flash-OPTCR, bit 4 is BFB2.But, when I choose the correct board (Nucleo-F439ZI), and go to debug mode, then SFRs, I only find F429 registers, no F439!In another words, if I'm correct, there's no SVD for the nucleo-f439 on STM32CubeIDE v1.11.A picture is attached, sorry for the low quality.Thank you in advance.

I am using a ST Sensor tile.box pro with FP-SNS-DATALOG2 function pack, I have already used the Python GUI software with USB connection and ST BLE Sensor app for data logging to save into the microSD card, which works fine. Now , I would like to use python program to start the data logging process and possibly selecting the sensors for logging, for this, I am looking for the UUID related to these, and I can not find from the FP-SNS-DATALOG2 program. Where can I find related information for these? I have used a BLE Sniffer app to look for the available UUID but little to no description I found from the FP-SNS-DATALOG2 code how it actually works with the app so that I can replicate for my needs. Primary service/Unknown service 01: COPY_CONSOLE_SERVICE_UUID 00 00 00 00 00 0E 11 e1 9a b4 00 02 a5 d5 c5 1b Unknown Characteristics: COPY_TERM_CHAR_UUID 00 00 00 01 00 0E 11 e1 ac 36 00 02 a5 d5 c5 1b COPY_STDERR_CHAR_UUID 00 00 00 02 00 0E 11 e1 ac 36 00 02 a5 d5 c5

Hello,I’m working with the STSPIN32G4. I was able to program the MCU once successfully, but since then neither STM32CubeIDE nor STM32CubeProgrammer are able to detect it anymore. The main issue is that I did not expose the BOOT0 pin on my board, so I can’t easily force it into system bootloader mode.Has anyone faced a similar issue? Is there any workaround without physical access to the BOOT0 pin?Would SWD still work if the application firmware misconfigured the debug pins?Any suggestions for recovering the MCU in this situation?I’d really appreciate any help or guidance. Thanks in advance!

Hi Sirs,Does the TSX3702IST have a POR function?Due to our applicaction face some problem need to clarify this function.Thank you.PaulTseng

Hello, I'm trying to set the debug configuration of my project, but I cannot open the debug file under C/C++ Application. Besides, running this project was not successful either.I have tried switching workspace and uninstalling IDE, but neither worked. Can anyone help me solve my problem? Thank you very much.

Hallo, I'm facing with a problem of IDE v.1.18.1 crash starting from early today (OS Windows 11).This version has been being used al least 3-4 months , and even yesterday everything worked fine.Once I try to open IDE, it pretends to look for some updates and crashes almost immediately. There are no spaces in paths; I didn't make any changes at all.Does anyone has a clue, what could go wrong?I still can run IDE 1.12.1, but i cannot update it to ver. 1.18.1.
