Hello STM32 community,I’m working on a project where I need to temporarily disable/enable the watchdog before entering into low-power/sleep modes, but I want to avoid resetting the MCU.Here’s the context:I’m using an STM32U385 MCUI know that watchdog configuration can be changed via option bytes, but changes only take effect after a reset. In my scenario, performing a reset is not acceptable because I need the MCU to resume execution seamlessly after sleep.Problem:The Independent Watchdog (IWDG) starts automatically once configured and cannot be stopped at runtime.I want to enter sleep modes (like Stop or Standby) without being reset by the watchdog, but also in some scenarios watchdog needs to be run in sleep modes. What I’ve considered:Using HAL FLASH option bytes to set IWDG to software mode — works, but requires a reset.Question for the community:Is there a hardware-supported way to enable/disable the IWDG during sleep without resetting the MCU?Any insights, examples,

Hi,I am implementing PTP slave on bare metal H743II with firmware 1.12.1 and LwIP 2.1.2.Timestamps for transmitted PTP datagrams can be received by implemented a callback function HAL_ETH_TxPtpCallback(). The callback is called from stm32h7xx_hal_eth.c:HAL_ETH_ReleaseTxPacket(). There was no call to HAL_ETH_ReleaseTxPacket(), so I added a call to it after calling udp_sendto().The callback function was never called because HAL_ETH_ReleaseTxPacket() never found a packet in use with timestamp in the descriptor. I copied the timestamp handling from HAL_ETH_ReleaseTxPacket() to HAL_ETH_Transmit(). That seems to work, but is a workaround that probably conflicts with the design.Any suggestion for a better solution is appreciated.

Hello,I’m currently working with an STM32F429I-Discovery board and an MT9M001 camera module, and my goal is to display the camera image on the built-in LCD (ILI9341) using LTDC + DMA2D + DCMI.When I select STM32F429I-Discovery in the STM32CubeIDE “Board Selector” and create a new project, the project is still generated as a regular MCU project (STM32F429ZIT6).Because of this, the LTDC pins (such as PI9 and PI10) are not automatically assigned, and I get red warnings or conflicts in the LTDC configuration. In particular, I’m facing the following issues:PA4: LTDC_VSYNC conflicts with DCMI_HSYNCPC6: LTDC_HSYNC conflicts with DCMI_D0Pins like PI9 (VSYNC) and PI10 (HSYNC) do not appear in the Pinout view at allI also tried official examples such as DCMI_CaptureMode and LTDC_Display_2Layers,but these are made for the STM324x9I-EVAL board, and because the Discovery board has a different LCD and pin configuration,I couldn’t get them to work properly.I’m still a beginner with STM32 and currently lea

Hello Team,I want to store encryption Key - 4 byte into Option Byte OR any other memory Except in-built Flash Memory. Is it possible to write in Option Memory ? If not what could be the other option ?

Message:I have configured PA11 and PA12 pins in input mode, but they are not responding — I’m continuously getting a low level from the MCU side. For testing purposes, I configured the same pins as output, and they work fine in output mode.To verify hardware, I removed the MCU and checked the lines — they remain high, confirming that the hardware is OK.Please suggest the possible reason or solution at the earliest.

This is a question related to SPI communication. What is NSSP mode? What does it do?Also is there any documentation that explains all parameters in detail other than this

I'm trying to use 2 timers (TIM1, TIM8) in sync.Everything works OK when using same value for both timers' ARR.But drift occurs when using two different values as ARR (i.g. 3999 for TIM1 & 19999 for TIM8).What could be causing this drift? tim.c/* TIM1 init function */ void MX_TIM1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM1_Init 0 */ LL_TIM_InitTypeDef TIM_InitStruct = {0}; LL_TIM_OC_InitTypeDef TIM_OC_InitStruct = {0}; LL_TIM_BDTR_InitTypeDef TIM_BDTRInitStruct = {0}; /* Peripheral clock enable */ LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB2_GRP1_PERIPH_TIM1); /* TIM1 interrupt Init */ NVIC_SetPriority(TIM1_UP_IRQn, NVIC_EncodePriority(NVIC_GetPriorityGrouping(),0, 0)); NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM1_UP_IRQn); /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END TIM1_Init 1 */ TIM_InitStruct.Prescaler = 0; TIM_InitStruct.CounterMode = LL_TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; TIM_InitStruct.Autoreload = 3999; TIM_InitStruct.ClockDivision = LL_TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; TIM_

Dear Sir,Our project using LSM6DSO IMU to detect the position, the sensor temperature is very high after power on and Initialization, it's over 80 degree, I think it's abnormal, I attach the sch, can you give some suggestions, thanks a lot.

Would you please share with us some sample performance test results of LSM6DSV family, like Allan Variance graphics, VRE, misalignment, etc?

I am creating a program to write data arbitrarily to the M95M04. The M95M04 has 512-byte pages, but does writing have to be done in page units? For example, when writing 8 bytes of data starting from address 8, is it acceptable to specify address 8H and write 4 bytes? Or do I need to read 512 bytes from address 0, modify the 4 bytes of data starting from address 8, and then write back all 512 bytes? thank you

I need to obtain old version  GNU TOOLS fot STM   7-2018-q2.  Where can i find it? without instaling old version of CUBEIDE?

Hello Everyone, Am looking for a little help on what I hope is a simple issue.  A quick summary is when I use freeRTOS + STM32Cube and set a breakpoint in one of the default task lines it never triggers.  Breakpoints enabled before the scheduler is started work ok. Can anyone point me in a direction to remedy this?  Will provide more details below. BTW, I'm new to the community and this is my first time posting.  Happy to hear any suggestions from any of you that will improve my posts. Details purchased a STM32F769I-DISCO eval board. I have a simple project that blinks the DISCO board LEDS originally it was done without the RTOS enabled.  Breakpoints and all worked great added the FreeRTOS and moved the blinking code over to use OS related stuff in the default task.  the program ran ok.  however, when a breakpoint is set it never pauses the app i configured the RTOS proxy and that all appears to be working fine if I manually pause the app. i also fou

Hello,I am using the LSM6DSV in a very simple configuration.  I am finding that it does not power down properly after I have powered it up.  In normal operation I power it up by writing a value of 0x01 to address 0x10 (turns on accelerometor at 1.875Hz) and writing a value of 0x02 to address 0x11 (turns on gyroscope at 7.5Hz).  Then after taking some readings I power it down by writing a value of 0x0 to address 0x10 and a value of 0x0 to address 0x11. After I power it down I find that it still draws ~650uA of current.Other than reading the conversion results at address 0x22-0x2D, the writes to addresses 0x10 and 0x11 are the only ones I do.I have run a couple of experiments:1. I omitted the writes to 0x10 and 0x11 when powering up and find that the power draw stays at or below a few uA.  This demonstrates to me that the power draw is coming from a mode the LSM6DSV is in rather than my MCU or other circuitry.2. I explicitly wrote power down/disable values to the othe

When the TouchGFX Graphics Application is selected, the supplementary TouchGFX code is generated; however, the TouchGFX library itself is not included in the project. I tried all available code generators, but none of them added the library.

Hi,we have an STM32H735G-DK eval board with product identification DK32H735G$AT3 but can not find the differences to older DK32H735G$AT2andDK32H735G$AT1product versions in the user manual:https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2679-discovery-kit-with-stm32h735ig-mcu-stmicroelectronics.pdf Can you tell us the differences between DK32H735G$AT3 and the older versions? Thank youRK_IOT

As EMIF06-MSD02N16 Is approaching EOL by 2029, Can you please provide alternate part for EMIF06-MSD02N16. We are planning to design SD card interface and were considering this part for our new design. if you have any alternate part equivalent to EMIF06-MSD02N16, kindly suggest the alternate part with EOL status.

Hi,I am working on a project to read the magnetic field with the IIS2MDCTR chip. Actually, I am replacing a read switch with this accelerometer. I use the IIS2MDCSensor Arduino library. After testing with the magnet, I set the threshold to 10000. Enabled the interrupt on all axes in pulsed mode and routed it to the INT pin to get my microcontroller. (STM32U385VGT6) interrupted. When I close the magnet from the z-direction, I get the interrupt. But when I bring it closure from an angle, it does not change the pin status. I tried printing the ODR register values. I saw one, two, or three register values go beyond the 10000 threshold. But I do not get the interrupt. But when I move from the z direction, I am getting the interrupt even when only one axis exceeds the threshold. Can somebody explain the situation and advise me to understand this behaviour?

My LSM6DSVD component and a spring-driven mechanical button are mounted on the same circuit board, approximately 5cm apart. I have secured the circuit board to a table to ensure it does not rotate at all. When I press and quickly release the button, the gyroscope's measurement output spikes to as high as 4 rad/s. As shown in the graph below.

Hello, everyone. Can anyone tell me how? I want to do something while STM erases a sector, Since it is STM32F401, it takes too long to erase a sector. What can be the best solution?

STM32C071GBU6 PA2 (pin 8 on the UFQFPN28 device) is configured as ADC_IN2.  What voltage can be expected when the pin is unloaded?

Title edited to be clear that this is on a NUCLEO-F303ZE board.Hello all.I'm trying to write a simple message via UART to Putty using stm32f303ze microcontroller. I'm using USART2, via ST-link. All the configurations have been confirmed (baud rate, COM port, bits, etc.) And they are right. I even tried using the STM32 Cube IDE Terminal with no luck. Now I'm not sure if the problem is the UART I'm using, or I'm doing something wrong in the code. Also I'm not sure about the UART that support VCP in STM32F303ZE microcontrollers. However I tried all the USART, and the were no response in the Terminals. Below is the simple message I'm trying to send and the full code./* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2025 STMicroelectronics. * All rights re

HIUsing stm32f303veh6.Changed the option bytes with the CubeProgrammer. 2.20.0 to override the BOOT0 signal. ( its floating )nBOOT1 - > uncheckedBOOT_SEL -> unchecked I see that the address on start is 0x1FFFF.. and my FW on flash does not run. For debug, I I did some external wiring of the BOOT0 signal to GND, and now my FW boots fine.Looked in Errata for know issues, but could not find any related. Any reason for Option Bytes not to work?

I have been attempting to interface a STM32U575 mcu to a dual HYPERRAM/Flash memory set up in multiplexed mode as shown in the following image taken from the STM32 Octo-SPI AN5050 application note. I am trying to implement a POSIX based RTOS and have thus been trying to create this setup in my project devicetree as follows: &octospi2 { pinctrl-0 = <&octospi_pins>; pinctrl-names = "default"; status="okay"; flash: ospi-nor-flash@0 { compatible = "st,stm32-ospi-nor"; reg = <0>; size = <DT_SIZE_M(512)>; ospi-max-frequency = <DT_FREQ_M(50)>; spi-bus-width = <OSPI_OPI_MODE>; data-rate = <OSPI_STR_TRANSFER>; status = "okay"; }; hram: ospi-nor-flash@1 { compatible = "st,stm32-ospi-nor"; reg = <1>; size = <DT_SIZE_M(512)>; ospi-max-frequency = <DT_FREQ_M(50)>; spi-bus-width = <OSPI_OPI_MODE>; data-rate = <OSPI_DTR_TRANSFER>; status = "okay"; }; }; and I have also tried: &octospi2
