Posted on January 19, 2017 at 08:47Hi,I'm developing a customized SPI Bootloader code. I plan to use CRC32 in verifying the programmed application code. I used this link as a reference for my CRC32 calculator C-code function in the Bootloader:https://github.com/joeferner/stm32-spi-bootloader/blob/master/src/spi-bootloader.c http://www.ipgp.fr/~tuchais/earthworm/v6.3/src/data_sources/naqs2ew/crc32.c But, the values that I get when I use that function isn't the same to the ones I get when I load the hex or bin file to ST-Link. ST-Link is showing different CRC32 values. On the other hand, when I use online tools such as:http://www.fileformat.info/tool/hash.htm http://esrg.sourceforge.net/utils_win_up/md5sum/ I am getting the same CRC32 values with my C-code function. Is ST-LINK using a different algorithm (but in the user manual, it says that it's using CRC32)?Any insights is appreciated! Thanks,#stlink #crc32 #stm32

Posted on January 19, 2017 at 21:19I'm compiling and running GPIO_EXTI example code for Nucleo-F767ZI board (on SW4STM32). The handler that blinks LED1 isn't connected and this matches what readme.txt says:In this example:    - EXTI_Line15_10 is connected to PC.13 pin      - when falling edge is detected on EXTI_Line15_10 by pressing User push-button, LED1 toggles onceOn STM32F767ZI-Nucleo:    - EXTI_Line15_10 is connected to User push-buttonSo, handler isn't set for the Nucleo board. When I push user button and pause (debugging) the program, it is then in default handler / infinite loop. All correct. However, the program never goes beyond those lines of EXTI15_10_IRQHandler_Config(void):  /* Enable and set EXTI line 15_10 Interrupt to the lowest priority */  HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI15_10_IRQn, 2, 0);  HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI15_10_IRQn);When I pause, I'm still in HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(), the program never returns to ma

Posted on January 16, 2017 at 03:40 Hi, 1. I'm using Maple mini of STM32F103CBT6 microcontroller. 2. I use trueSTUDIO. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/retired/11280 I created USB Virtual COM with CUBEMX. (4.0) It looks very simple and nothing wrong. But it does not work. I have confirmed that the board is normal. If I replace the boot loader, it will work normally. First, I set it as follows. But Device Manager does not even search for new devices. So I tried the same test on the Nucleo F446RE.board. But the same problem occurred. It does not appear in Device Manager. However, I changed the settings below and succeeded in normal operation. vbus_sensing_enable = DISABLE; But I want to use it in STM32F103CBT6 and STM32F103RET6. (for test) I attach a file generated from cubemx. I need help. Thank you. Please let me know if there is someone who is working normally. If it is affected by the ide tool, please tell me about the possible tools.

Posted on January 19, 2017 at 01:39I have setup the STM32CubeMX project.. Posted on July 20, 2016 at 09:43Hi, in the last time I played with the power modes of the STM32L0 and discovered an issue with the GPIO-HAL driver. The used version of the HAL is 1.7.0 with a STM32L053 nucleo board. I discovered that the initialization of USART-TX and -RX pins will increase the power consumption in STOP mode considerably. So I tried to deinitialize the pins to their reset state with the function HAL_GPIO_DeInit() before going into STOP mode. But the consumption remains the same so I looked into the DeInit-function and recognized the line where the I/O mode is changed (line 327 in stm32l0xx_hal_gpio.c):GPIOx->MODER &= ~(GPIO_MODER_MODE0 << (position * 2U)); The I/O mode is changed to ''input'' but the reference manual for the controller (RM0367) says in chapter 9.4.1 that the reset state for the I/O mode is ''Analog'' . According to this I changed the line 327 toGPIOx->MODER |= (GPIO_MODER_MODE0 << (position * 2U)); and the power consumption get

Posted on January 06, 2017 at 09:59Hi Master G ;-),can you explain the error 'Init not performed (time-waited connections)'? I don't find anything about this in the documentation.I get the error when:1. Close the ports: AT+S.SOCKD=02. Do some web things: AT+S.SOCKON=example.com....3. Close the sockets... AT+S.SOCKC==004. Open the port again: AT+S.SOCKD=33000If I try to open the port some seconds later I don't get the error any more...Thx & Regards,Flow

Posted on January 18, 2017 at 05:44Hello folks,I am working to migrate my firmware from stm32f103 to stm32f20f family, for that I have gone through the guide provide by st http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/27/7b/1b/45/e7/ac/4e/04/DM00033267.pdf/files/DM00033267.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00033267.pdf.Now my firmware includes spi (in master mode), GPIOs(in irq), Systick(configured in micros) all these are woking very well in stm32f1 and i am getting my desired output on tis MCU but when I migrated GPIOs(irq), SPI (tx irq), Systick works as expected but tough I am not getting my out put on spi slave device. Here my slave device is 1.44 '' TFT LCD.I am using Hal Library here. For testing I did LED blinking it worked i also did uart but uart is also not working. It seems like its something related to clocks.I have configured my clocks on HSE 8 MHZ.Requested to guide me here. Also please let me know if i can provide any more details. Thanks &

Posted on January 17, 2017 at 14:59Hi, I want to use the STM32F413 SRAM2 to run interrupt control loop routines, as I do for CCM-SRAM of the STM32F303. So I need to configure the SRAM2 to be acessed through the I-Code/D-Code bus (address 0x10000000) to burst the performance.I didn't figure out how to do it reading the reference manual. SRAM2 can be acessed at the address 0x20040000 or at the address 0x10000000, or I need to to some register configuration to change de SRAM2 address from 0x20040000 to 0x10000000?Can I use the procedure to run an Interrupt routine at STM32F303 CCM-RAM for the F413 SRAM2?Ari.

Posted on January 16, 2017 at 11:41 Good Day I have an oscillator connected to Comparator 1, I want the output of Comparator 1 to internally go to timer 2. I would like to manually start TIM2, leave it for a few milliseconds, and come back and read how many times the comparator changed state. I then want to reset the value back to zero and it must start counting up again, one count for every transition of the from high to low on the comparator. How must I set up timer 2 to achieve this? I have it set-up as Slave Mode with External Input but I think it is incorrect. I have set Comparator 1 as follows: void MX_COMP1_Init(void){ hcomp1.Instance = COMP1; hcomp1.Init.InvertingInput = COMP_INVERTINGINPUT_IO1; hcomp1.Init.NonInvertingInput = COMP_NONINVERTINGINPUT_IO1; hcomp1.Init.Output = COMP_OUTPUT_TIM2IC4; hcomp1.Init.OutputPol = COMP_OUTPUTPOL_NONINVERTED; hcomp1.Init.Hysteresis = COMP_HYSTERESIS_LOW; hcomp1.Init.Mode = COMP_MODE_HIGHSPEED; hcomp1.Init.WindowMode = CO

Posted on January 13, 2017 at 14:51 edit: previously I wrote that problems occurs with freertos, I checked without it and I am having the same problem (ending in dead loop after sending more than 8 characters). Steps to reproduce: Create project in CubeMX for STM32F4DISCOVERY, enable USB_FS Device only. Configure clock: PLL_N = 72, PLL_Q=3, that gives me 48 MHz for usb, other settings remain unchanged. In configuration I enable CDC device with default parameters. Generate code for SW. I add some led toggle in order to know it it is running. /* StartDefaultTask function */ void StartDefaultTask(void const * argument) { /* init code for USB_DEVICE */ MX_USB_DEVICE_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 5 */ /* Infinite loop */ for(;;) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LD3_GPIO_Port, LD3_Pin); osDelay(500); } /* USER CODE END 5 */ }????????????????????????????????????????????? Posted on January 15, 2017 at 21:27I am working with a Nucleo L031K6 board and my application showed strange behaviour that I could finally track down as two C variables sharing the same memory location....Not being a specialist in neither C nor the ST family, my question is: What am I doing wrong? or is this a bug in the compiler?Below my stripped C source and the disassembly listing from the debugging session. Of course this application does not do anything at all anymore, but it still demonstrates the fault. The variable 'secs' shares his address with variable 'txt[1][0]'/* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/&sharpinclude 'main.h'&sharpinclude 'stm32l0xx_hal.h' int32_t tel; uint32_t Klokstat; uint8_t txt[1][5];uint8_t secs;/* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/void Error_Handler(void);int main(void){  /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Sys

Posted on December 10, 2016 at 22:07I am testing the microSD card. In debug mode, it works very well. But when I quit the debug mode, the sd card doesn't work. I am using keil, uvision as the IDE. The chip is STM32F405RGT6;What should I do?

Posted on January 13, 2017 at 13:50Hello,I have a funny question. I have STM32F401RBT6 and my firmware is ~140KB in size. I can download it without any issues, but the datasheet for this chip says that it should have only 128KB of Flash? Also when I query the ID_FLASH_ADDRESS register it returns 128.The code downloads and verifies properly. Also when I use the ST Link utility, and modify bytes in Flash between 128KB and 256KB they are stored correclty. I'm confused by this. Does this chip has 256KB of Flash or not?Thank you,
