Posted on January 22, 2017 at 06:58Hello,  I configured in enhanced mode for system clock generation, our input clock is 40Mhz external crystal and need to generate 150Mhz  system clock. Since hardware is not supported to check CLKOUT pin for system clock, we configured SCK clock for calculating system clock. Posted on March 08, 2017 at 16:06Hi guys,we have a problem here. We run a Stm32F469BITx at 180 Mhz. There is a lcd display and a realtime process included. The realtime process creates GPIO-Pin-Changes in Mikrosecond intervalls. The problem is that we have a timing jitter of about 6us. The realtime process has highest prio, even we disable interrupts now while it is pending. Although the jitter occurs. When we disable the display the jitter goes < 1 us.So definitiely no interrupt during the realtime process. Where could the jitter come from? Thanks for your thoughts.

Posted on March 13, 2017 at 09:58Hi all,I'm new to the enviroment so I'm sorry to be so newbie.Last Friday I was using a test application to get started and at the first attempt i could flash the program and everything was fine. Now I open SPC5Sudio and I find errors that there weren't 'Unresolved Inclusion 'components.h'' and the same with all the libraries that i'm using ('pwm_lld_cfg.h', 'spi_lld_cfg.h', 'pit_lld_cfg.h', 'can_lld_cfg.h').I checked in the SPC5 settings to look for the libraries inclusion and there aren't so does someone know where I can find them???Thanks a lot.Daniele.#pwm #can #spi #libreries

Posted on March 09, 2017 at 11:01 Hello! I would like to use the ADC with DMA in order to do the following: - manually start the ADC in (discontinuous) scan mode - sample 3 channels - put the adc result with DMA to some array. - no further (automatic/continuous sampling) till the next manual ADC start. So the ADC should start, scan the 3 regular channels. The DMA should fill the array and afterwards I expect that the ADC_FLAG_EOC should be set? Since I never saw it set I read the DMA1_FLAG_TC1 instead. The problems are: 1. The DMA1_FLAG_TC1 is always set. (because ADC_DMARequestAfterLastTransferCmd(ADC1, ENABLE), but otherwise I should re-initialize the DMA?) 2. I cannot clear the ADC_FLAG_EOC or DMA1_FLAG_TC1. 3. There are always some values changing in the DMA_CNDTR1 register and I'm not sure why since everything should have been done quickly after the ADC_SoftwareStartConv(ADC). The ADC uses the HSI (no prescaler) and the CPU is clocked @ 2MHz I guess I

Posted on March 10, 2017 at 15:03On STM32 F7 I'm using ADC injected conversions triggered by TIM1 TRGO2 signal (OC5 rising). In case TIM1 break2 is triggered what should happen to ADC injected conversions? Will break2 disable all PWM outputs including OC5 Ref thus stopping ADC trigger? If yes this is a limitation when doing motor control based on ADC End Of Conversion interrupt, because in case of a break2 (due to some external fault e.g. some overcurrent) the control will not be called anymore.

Posted on March 08, 2017 at 11:54Im trying to read a battery voltage with a  STM32L152, using timer 2 to trigger the ADC. I can see Timer 2 running (by toggling a LED in the TMR2 interrupt routine) but my ADC only reads once (when the circuit initially switch on) . I have trawled the internet for solutions but still cant find what i'm missing or where i'm going wrong. If I debug, my program never enters the ADC IRQ  function. I presume a flag is not being cleared. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.Below is relevant code.int main(void){RCC_Configuration();  // call clock setup NVIC_Configuration();  // call interrupt setup GPIO_Configuration();  // gpio config TIM2_Configuration();  // tim2 setup ADC_Configuration(); // adc setup ADC_SoftwareStartConv(ADC1); /* Start ADC1 Software Conversion */gpio_config(GPIO0_PORT, GPIO0_PIN, GPIO_PP); // setup GPIO0 as output gpio_config(GPIO1_PORT, GPIO1_PIN, GPIO_PP); // setup GPIO1 as output g

Posted on November 06, 2016 at 23:11Hey guys, I used CubeMX to generate a setupcode for my STM32F4 Discovery board. When I began my work, i noticed that the FreeRTOS Version used by Cube MX is an old one. Do you know when V9 would be supported by Cube MX? Or is there're another way to upgrade FreeRtos from V8 to V9? V9 comes with some important new features, like static threads and queues;) greets Julian

Posted on February 25, 2017 at 11:44 Hi,I have STM32F4 interfaced with the external SRAM sized 512kx16 array. Now what I believe is (Pls correct me if i am wrong), Pointing to Every incremental Address should give me 16bit data. because SRAM is interfaced with 16bit wide data bus (non multiplexed) For Example: 0x64000000 is the base address of my external SRAM. And I want to write hello, to this RAM, then It should happen like... on 0x64000000 location, data should be written, 'H' 'E' & on 0x64000001 location, data should be written, 'L' 'L' & on 0x64000002 location, data should be written, 'O' 0xff . And the same is should be getting in read back. But What actually occurs is on 0x64000000 location, data iswritten, 'H' 'E' & on 0x64000001 location, data is written, 'E' 'L' & on 0x64000002 location, data iswritten, 'L' 'L' & on 0x64000003 location, data is written, 'L' 'O' & on 0x64000004 location, data is written, 'O' 0xff . So If I want to get the

Posted on March 09, 2017 at 17:00 I'm currently working on a Motor Controller using the STM32F3. I need the ability to start and stop the motors and, in particular, the ability to switch from moving to stopped and free-wheeling. It would seem that the OCIdleState and OCNIdleState in TIM_OC_InitTypeDef are what I'd want to use to set these states (obviously with OSSI bit set) whenever I'm Idle, but I was having trouble getting it to work. Long story short, I found that __HAL_TIM_MOE_DISABLE is defined so that it will only clear the MOE bit if both CCxE and CCxNE are 0'd. #define __HAL_TIM_MOE_DISABLE(__HANDLE__) \ do { \ if (((__HANDLE__)->Instance->CCER & TIM_CCER_CCxE_MASK) == 0) \ { \ if(((__HANDLE__)->Instance->CCER & TIM_CCER_CCxNE_MASK) == 0) \ { \ (__HANDLE__)->Instance->BDTR &= ~(TIM_BDTR_MOE); \ } \ } \ } while(0)???????????????????? Posted on March 09, 2017 at 16:59   I am using a single channel on ADC1, and a single channel on ADC2, both using DMA.  Everything code-wise is working, but the ADCs appear to be fighting/resisting the inputs.  For instance, with nothing connected, each ADC pin floats at ~1V.  But then when you try to ground either input through a 10K resistor, I get a ~250mV triangle wave at 1MHz.  Image is attached below, along with CUBE generated ADC initialization code.  Any ideas on what could be causing that?  I would think that grounding an ADC input through a 10K would cause the input to go to zero. [code]static void MX_ADC1_Init(void) {  ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig;    /**Configure the global features of the ADC (Clock, Resolution, Data Alignment and number of conversion)     */   hadc1.Instance = ADC1;   hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV6;   hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B;   hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = ENABLE;   hadc1.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE;   hadc1.In

Posted on March 08, 2017 at 10:03Hi.I'm trying to understand the I2S configuration in STMF469I-Discovery. I've got external MEMS microphone that's outputting 16khz mono output. I can see with oscilloscope that the output is OK however I cannot seem to get the I2S configured correctly.I've connected the mic like this and generated code with cubemx as I2S2 as slave with microphone outputting the clock signal (1Mhz), so no as SAI I2S input:/**I2S2 GPIO Configuration PB13 ------> I2S2_CK PB12 ------> I2S2_WS PC1 ------> I2S2_SDI'm trying to read the output in task context like this: status = HAL_I2S_Receive(&hi2s2, buf, time * hi2s2.Init.AudioFreq, time*1000);However the I2S_WaitFlagStateUntilTimeout expires as the while(__HAL_I2S_GET_FLAG(hi2s, Flag) == RESET) stays in RESET.The HAL init is not the _weak definition stmf4xx_hal_i2s.c, but one _i2s_ex.c. Is this the problem or is this clock related?I'm really having a hard time understanding the clock configuration and t

Posted on March 09, 2017 at 08:14hello i am working on Project with a SPC560D40 an SPC5 Studio. I'm trying to generate PWM-Signals on the Pins RA0 to RA5. When I look in the eMIOs Settings of the SPC560Dxx HAL Driver Component, I can only activate eMIOs group 0 (Channel 9..15) or Group1 (Channels 17..23) but RA0 to RA5 should be Channel 0..5. For these Channels I can only activate ICU drivers.

Posted on March 08, 2017 at 17:57Hello!From a cursory glance at the datasheet it seems like there are many pin conflicts between DCMI and FMC on the F7. Does that mean they cannot be used at the same time?Isn't that a bit of an oversight, considering image data often take quite a bit of memory?ThanksMatthew

Posted on May 17, 2016 at 05:24Hi, When the chip is initiated with GAP_INIT, it automatically creates a device name and appearance characteristics. Those are created with write properties, allowing anyone to rewrite the name of the device. I don't find any command that would allow to change the property to read only. Any help?

Posted on March 08, 2017 at 02:48Hi everyone,I'm trying to complete a project with the STM32F4 Discovery board and with a PHY IC (DP83848CVV), along with FreeRTOS and LwIP. I began the project with first testing the hardware this previously completed code by someone else: http://blog.tkjelectronics.dk/2012/08/ethernet-on-stm32f4discovery-using-external-phy/ jI was able to get the webpage running and made sure that the hardware was in working order. However, once I used the STM32CubeMX to initialize everything (selecting STM32F407G as my MCU with FreeRTOS, ETH, and LwIP enabled) and get a simple TCP echo client (tried TCP/UDP echo server as well) running, I cannot connect nor can the MCU connect to my echotool.exe server. The dhcp_start() seems to be working though since I can see that my router gave the MCU an IP address.Any insight to this issue would be much appreciated. Also, if you can share a completed project with STM32F4 with FreeRTOS + LwIP running, that would be

Posted on March 07, 2017 at 01:30Hi Everyone,my set-up is an STM32F205 transmitting fixed length data ( < 64 bytes ) periodically to an STM32F207 via SPI. I am only interested in receiving data, nothing is sent on the 207's MISO line. The 207 receives data Ok when using spi interrupts, but doesn't when using DMA. The DMA transfer complete interrupt fires (TCIF flag = 1, and I see HTIF = 1 that gives some confidence DMA is seeing something),  but data never appears in the memory buffer. It is so close to working - there must be a bit I'm missing somewhere.  I've spent the last few days googling SPI configurations and reading the STM ref manual and I can't see why this shouldn't work!Any ideas?NB I haven't included the interrupt handler as it is just an empty function, but am breaking on it in the debugger to read registers etc.#define SPIipc SPI2static __IO uint8_t DMAbufferRx[64];void ipc_spi_init(void){GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure;SPI_InitTypeDef SPI_InitStruct

Posted on March 07, 2017 at 07:09Helloi have created my project with STM32 CubeMX and everything works like a charm, But i am stuck with the clock, i want to configure a RTC clock with Vbat pin to keep time running even if VDD power loss, apparently CubeMX configue only RTC, and doesn't configure Vbat pin or the register backup and ST doesn't provide any example for this.Target MPU : STM32F051R8I succeeded to get the RTC work with LSE but the time get lost when i remove the main power (VDD),An example for RTC with register backup (vbat) for STM32F0 will be appreciated.  Thanks

Posted on February 06, 2017 at 02:14CubeMX version 4.19 fails to load the I2S DMA configuration when used in RX mode (peripheral to memory).I have confirmed this issue is repeatable over a range of parts and I2S modes. The consistent factor seems to be I2S RX peripheral to memory DMA configuration. The following steps will reproduce the issue described.a) Using CubeMx version 4.19 start a new project.b) Select any STM32 part which supports an I2S peripheral.c) Enable I2Sn in either master or slave modes.d) Configure I2Sn 'Paramter Settings' for Transmission Mode 'Receive'.e) Add a new DMA Request,  SPIn_RX.f) Save the project, close project and then reload the newly created project.g) Note the loading warning messge 'The SPIn_RX DMA request was not loaded.'h) Note that the DMA configuration for I2Sn is no longer in the configuration.I have confirmed that once the DMA has been configured, the target code will be correctly created.Does anyone have a work around to this short of re-c
