Posted on August 07, 2017 at 22:32VPSTX is wired to 3.3Volts.  I want to give it +5V to increase the power.  This changes Rout from 27 ohms to 16 ohms.  I tried using the CR95HF EMI FILTER CALULATION tool to work out component values, without success. As a baseline, I looked at the 3 volt case, since I already had the answer. I opened the tool and found most of the values default to the values on the board.  VPSTX is set to 3 volts and Rin is set to 27 ohms. I had to change Rrx from 0 to 330 and Crx to 1E+12F (infinite capacitor in series).  The result (section 2) was C11 = C12 = 41pF and C2 = 301pF.  That C11 and C12 value is half of the 82pF used on the board. When I changed VPSTX to +5 and Rin to 16, the tool gave me C11 = C12 = 29pF and C2 = 301pF.  I tried 66pF (and lifted L8 so I could connect +5V) and got much worse performance than before. In Summary, what am I misunderstanding about the tool, and what are the correct values for a

Posted on July 27, 2017 at 14:00Hi,I am using a SPC560C50L3 controller on a SPC560BADPT100S MINIMODULE board which sits on the XPC56XX EVB Motherboard. Power supply checked, jtag driver checked. The JTAG used is from PLS USB/JTAG Adapter for SPC5XXX. Using a sample application (CAN application), I could manage to build the code. But from here on, I tried to read the manual to use the JTAG debugger but I could not successfully flash code. Another thing I notice while using UDE STK4.8 version, is the Target names (in Select target configuration) DO NOT match any of the names (name of controller, minimodule or the motherboard). From this what I understand is I do not have a target configuration file, specific to the board in use. How can I solve this?? Any help is appreciated.  #spc5 #pls #spc5-studio #jtag

Posted on August 03, 2017 at 15:47Hello, we bought your 'SPC5 Connect' interface and we would like to evaluate your free software SPC5-FLASHER, SPC5-CONMANAGER and SPC5-CONEXPLORER. We followed all procedure for obtaining the licences, but from mailto:apgtools-license@st.com there has been no answer. Is there some issue? I can give all details, if necessary.ThanksRaku10

Posted on August 07, 2017 at 12:31 Hello, I have the following problem: I have a I2C communication routine that takes about 2ms to be executed. After I do the first read/write operation on a SPI peripheral, the same routine takes250ms the first time, than it stops working becaus isDeviceBusy always fails. If I call __HAL_SPI_DISABLE(&hspi) after using SPI, the I2C routine starts working again as before (takes 2ms again and isDeviceBusy does not fail). So, summarizing: init_all() i2c_routine() // Takes 2ms spi_routine() // i2c_routine() // Takes 250ms i2c_routine() // Stucks?????????? init_all() i2c_routine() // Takes 2ms i2c_routine() // Takes 2ms i2c_routine() // Takes 2ms i2c_routine() // Takes 2ms????? init_all() i2c_routine() // Takes 2ms spi_routine() __HAL_SPI_DISABLE(&hspi) i2c_routine() // Takes 2ms i2c_routine() // Takes 2ms???????? Posted on August 08, 2017 at 22:50Hi, I currently have a CUBEMX project for a STM32F7 LQFP100 chip and I want to create a new project for the pinout equivalent in the STM32H7 series. In CubeMX I can generate a pinout listing from my F7 project as a .csv file but there is no way to import that into a new H7 project. It should be a lot easier than having to re-create the whole project from scratch again. Is there any other way to upgrade a CubeMX project from a chip in one series to a pinout compatible chip in another series?

Posted on July 27, 2017 at 20:20Hiho,we recently updated one of our projects to the newest Firmware package and had to realize that receiving CAN Messages per Interrupt did not work reliably anymore. We were able to track the problem down to the fact that multiple STM32F4 controllers were communicating over the same bus, and when switching on the power supply some RX FIFOs registered an overflow before the messages could be handled. So far we did not find a way to get rid of this problem without modifying the drivers (which would be annoying without end with cubeMX) and reverted to V1.15.0. Does anyone know a nice way to cope with the swich-on overflow while using the HAL_CAN_Receive_IT functions? As they enable the FOV interrupts whenever they are called and the HAL_CAN_IRQHandler automatically disables the interface when a FOV flag is set, we have no clue so far.Cheers,Tobias SchweringBlacbird Technologies UG

Posted on August 06, 2017 at 14:48Hello, forum.I created a simple USB Card Reader with CubeMX but the speed of data transmitting is about 355 kByte/s.I want to improve it but I don't know how.My setup.Board STM32f446RE. CubeMX 4.22. Package STM32Cube FW_F4 V1.16.0.I created the project in the next steps:1) I used CubeMX to generate the project with following modules: internal USB HS, SDIO with DMA, FarFs. Also, I increased heap and stack memory.2) I used sd_diskio's methods in usbd_storage_if to connect SDIO to USB HS. (I use FatFs's BSP driver to provide access to SD Card memory)3) I applied DMA fix from Ripa.Radek.001  <LINK NO LONGER ACTIVE>I tested my project in DMA and Polling mode and get next results:Polling mode(without DMA): read/write speed ≈355 kByte/s, data not corruptedDMA mode: read/write speed ≈355 kByte/s, data can be corruptedAlso, I tested the same project but generated with CubeMX 4.18. Posted on July 30, 2017 at 12:42 I'm a little confused about the Stack Size, Thumb and Max Depth shown on the file. Which is generated by the ARM Linker. 1. Where could I found the information what these several words exactly meaning? for example: f_open (Thumb, 450 bytes, Stack size 608 bytes, ff.o(i.f_open)) [Stack]Max Depth = 840Call Chain = f_open ⇒ dir_register ⇒ dir_find ⇒ dir_next ⇒ create_chain ⇒ put_fat ⇒ move_window ⇒ sync_window ⇒ disk_write [Calls]>> get_fattime>> st_clust>> remove_chain>> move_window>> ld_clust>> inc_lock>> follow_path>> find_volume>> enq_lock>> dir_register>> chk_lock I know the Max Depth is the Stack needed of the Longest Call Chain. Is that means, for this function, the stack it needed is exactly equal the Max Depth? If so, what about the 'Stack Size'? Is which means the stack size of the current function itself needed? If so, what's the 'Thumb'? Is which means that, 'Thum

Posted on August 04, 2017 at 15:32Hi everyone,I have a weird problem with the powerstep01 on a X-NUCLEO-IHM03A1. I want to change to driver parameters KVAL_HOLD, KVAL_RUN, KVAL_ACC, KVAL_DEC, INT_SPEED, ST_SLP, FN_SLP_ACC, FN_SLP_DEC. All works as expected as long as I use a single board. However, if I use use a stack of three boards in a daisy chain I can only change KVAL_HOLD, KVAL_RUN, KVAL_ACC, KVAL_DEC while the other parameters remain unchanged. All motors are stopped and HiZ.Any help is much appreciated.#powerstep01-stepper-motor-driver #powerstep01
