Posted on October 13, 2017 at 21:38NucleoF722ZE board, Stm32CubeMX ver 4.22.1, Eclipse Version: Neon.3 Release (4.6.3)I wanted to setup TIM6 as timer interrupt for 400usec sampling loop. In CubeMX : TIM6 clocked at 1Mhz and ARR = 400, TIM6 Configuration/NVIC settings/Enabled (TIM6 global interrupt), then in NVIC Configuration/enabled TIM6 global interrupt with Preemp Priority=10 and Sub Priority=0. Then Generate code. The generated code seemed to be OK, and it also had  set NVIC interrupt priority and enable as below.HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(TIM6_DAC_IRQn, 10, 0);HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM6_DAC_IRQn);I added code to toggle the LED inside the ISR void TIM6_DAC_IRQHandler (void) and it never triggered.Result:TIM6  was counting OK (read TIM6.CNT and outputted on PWM pin for monitoring), but there was  no timer overflow interrupt generated.  However after adding TIM6.DIER = 1; // DMA/interrupt enable, then it worked. What I need to add TIM6.DIER=1; instead of by CubeM

Posted on October 05, 2017 at 08:25Hi,I´m using a STM32F469I_Eval and in the Examples provides with STM32Cube_FW_F4, I can see that there are some Linked Resources (FILES). If I edit the .project file there are something like that:<link> <name>Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/stm32f4xx_hal.c</name> <type>1</type> <locationURI> copy_PARENT1/Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32f4xx_hal.c</locationURI> </link><link> <name>Drivers/BSP/STM32469I_EVAL/stm32469i_eval.c</name> <type>1</type> <locationURI>copy_PARENT1/Drivers/BSP/STM32469I_EVAL/stm32469i_eval.c</locationURI> </link>But if I want to create my own project I only can create a Linked Resource (FOLDER). If I edit the .project there are something like that:<link> <name>HAL</name> <type>2</type> <location>C:/workspace/SystemWorkbenchForSTM32/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver</location> </link>&

Posted on May 01, 2017 at 14:06Hello STM community,I am trying to implement Ethernet communication to PC from STM32F746 discovery board. In doing so I have used STMcubeMX for the driver generation and also seeking some help from examples given by st repository version 1.7.0.Now, When I am running example of 'LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS', Everythings seems normal. It works as described.Going further in the custom project, I have added Lwip middleware, Ethernet RMII mode and some standard peripherals such as LCD and SDRAM (as given in the board selection/initialization). Also I am using static Ip address and would use udp for data transfer. When I try to debug the custom project that I can see that it sends the gratituous ARP on network and if I hard code it to send multiple ARP request that still it's capable to do so. However, there is no frames received. In receive part, no functions are called such as low_level_input or  ethernet_input.Could anyone suggest me where should

Posted on October 10, 2017 at 21:50 Do CS_XL and CS_MAG have an internal pulldown so if they are left floating there are no issues? Will it hurt the part if INT_1_XL and INT_2_XL are connected to 0V as long as we dont try to use them? What happens if we do tell them to be used will this hurt the part? #lsm303agr

Posted on October 11, 2017 at 12:26Hi, I am using package Stm32l4 1.9.0 package on Linux with Stm32CubeMX to generate workbench project. It seems there is naming problem, since folder in downloaded repository is named 'STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.9.0/Middlewares/Third_Party/FatFS'while it should be 'STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.9.0/Middlewares/Third_Party/FatFs'This causes problem during build and code generation. Repository was updated using CubeMX. Can somebody replicate this, or is something wrong with my configuration? I hope i am not duplicating this issue. Best Regards, Miha

Posted on October 10, 2017 at 16:26Hello!I'm using XPC56xL minimodule on the XPC56XX motherboard.I slightly modified the SPC56ELxx OS-Less ADC Test Application to print the ADC conversion values on the UARTThe issue I noticed is that the value of the conversion is not stable: for example if I print 15 measures (all of them done without changing the trimmer position) I get the following result (in hexadecimal):ADC Value:278279274278277274272272275278276274276276278276So it seems that the 4 least significant bits are given only by the noise. Since i read on the reference manual that the ADC has 12 bits resolution, i would like to know if there is a strategy to keep those bits stable.Thank you in advance!kind regards,Fabio

Posted on September 18, 2017 at 04:08Hello, when I use IAP in stm32f103vct6, sometimes some of them could not 'erase sectors' , and J-link could not 'erase sectors' to these board too. But I could use 'erase chip' to these board, and then  'erase sectors' could be used. Why and how to deal with it? How could i to aviod this happening? Thanks

Posted on November 15, 2015 at 16:31Hi, when CubeMX generates code, it is intended by 2 spaces. Ist there the possibility to change this behaviour to get a tab character instead. I searched in the forum and googled for a while but unfortunately, I didn't find any solution for that. I should have this due to some company policies. And, please, do not open a new scene in the holy war about tabs/spaces. I know this quite well and there are (dis)advantages for both versions. It's just, I'm bound to the tab side... ;) Thanks in advance! Have a nice day, Bernhard

Posted on October 11, 2017 at 22:16Hi,I'm very confused on how to use the HAL ADC Generic Driver. I configure the ADC using STM32Cube with all the default settings. Now I want to start the ADC and handle the interrupt. Looking into the http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/user_manual/2f/77/25/0f/5c/38/48/80/DM00122015.pdf/files/DM00122015.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00122015.pdf I read:1 - ADC conversion by interruption:1.1 - Activate the ADC peripheral and start conversions using function HAL_ADC_Start_IT()1.2 - Wait for ADC conversion completion by call of function HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback() (this function must be implemented in user program)1.3 - Retrieve conversion results using function HAL_ADC_GetValue() Stop conversion and disable the ADC peripheral using function HAL_ADC_Stop_IT()However STM32Cube had generated a IRQ Handler for adc on stm32f0xx_it.c:/*** @brief This function handles ADC interrupt.*/void ADC1_IRQHandler(void){   &n

Posted on September 26, 2017 at 09:23I use a CR95HF with UART communication. I make the startup sequence with t0= 200 us. I have 30 boards with CR95HF. One of them don't communicate with my microcontrolleur. I change t0 = 250 ms and after this operation, the communication begin. Why ?Can I find a startup sequence with the typical values and maximal values ?I have a second problem.I want use the calibration process to increase the lenght of reception but this command don't send response. With the other commands, I receive a response. Why ?How much the calibration increase the lenght ? (millimeters or centimeters)

Posted on October 08, 2017 at 06:56I am attempting to communicate with a LIS3MDL through the SPI interface, yet I am unable to get a single, valid response back. Moreover, the responses I am getting violate the setup and hold times on the SPI interface. You can see from the following image that I am attempting to read from the LIS3MDL's WHO_AM_I register (address: 0x0F; expected: 0x3D), but I am getting garbage out. Moreover, the output from the LIS3MDL is transitioning at the rising and negative edges of SCLK! I have the LIS3MDL breakout board (STEVAL-MKI137V1) so I expect the hardware should be solderd properly. Any other suggestions or anyone having a similar issue? #spi #lis3mdl #who_am_i

Posted on October 10, 2017 at 11:31Hello,I saw on the STM32L0 User Manual that FIFO mode and its threshold can be configured thanks to HAL_DMA_Init().For a given stream, HAL_DMA_Init() API allows programming the required configurationthrough the following parameters:- Transfer Direction- Source and Destination data formats- Circular, Normal or peripheral flow control mode- Channels Priority level- Source and Destination Increment mode- FIFO mode and its Threshold (if needed)- Burst mode for Source and/or Destination (if needed). But I don't find where I can enable it and choose my threshold as I never used DMA before ?

Posted on September 25, 2017 at 12:41Hi guys!I'm a completely newbie to the STM32 and to make some experiments I've bought a nucleo 32 board based on the STM32L011K4 microcontroller. Then I've downloaded and installed the Atollic TRUEStudio, the STCubeMx and the STM32L0 libraries. Then I've generated a simple project just to see the increment of a variable into the main loop. The things I've done to generate the project are just the choice of the corresponding board and the setting of the TrueStudio as used toolchain.Once made, compiled and downloaded the code I see that the debugger doesn't start at the first instruction of the main function but it jumps to the hal initialization where it gets lost.Is there any other setting I need to do in the MXCube. It is not enough to choose the board and the developement tool to get a simple working main loop?I don't need to use any other peripheral. Is there anybody willing to give me some advice.Thank You very muchAntonio

Posted on October 07, 2017 at 20:45Hello,I am using a Pololu Minimu9 v5. I successfully did a self test of the LIS3MDL 3-axis magnetometer and now I am trying to self test the LSM6DS33 with the procedure mentioned in the application note. My test appears to fail each time. I don't know if it is my method or if the sensor has malfunctioned. What is the proper implementation of the self test? Is there anything you can do to readjust sensor to optimal functionality?#self-test #lsm6ds33 #accelerometer

Posted on October 05, 2017 at 10:47I am evaluating the use of the SPBTLE-1S module, based on BlueNRG-1 and Bluetooth v4.2 compilant, to interact with iOS. BLE 4.2 specification includes data length extension feature which improves throughput and reduces transaction time. However, according to documentation, only BlueNRG-2 supports BLE extended packet length feature. Is it possible to upgrade BLE stack embedded software (library managing the RF part) with a version wich extends the possible MTU size up to 158 bytes?Thank in advance.

Posted on May 17, 2017 at 09:06For our application we use a USB Host to communicate with a HID class device. We've constructed a way to measure the state of the device by measuring the Impedance on the USB datalines. This requires that the datalines are in a high impedance state. Our problem is that we cannot put the USB datalines in a high impedance state after the USB Host has been initialized. It seems that, once the USB has been power the pull-downs can only be disabled trough a reset. The USB de-iniitialization function does not affect the GPIO.  It seems they cannot be re-configured to something else.Is there a way to properly disable the USB and return the original GPIO functionality to these pins?We use STM32CubeMx Together with Atollic truestudio.#usb-host #stm32

Posted on March 07, 2017 at 16:12In UM1472 rev.5, Table 6. STM32 pin description versus board functions, the Free I/O column as it is now is dysfunctional. It has an interesting history: the pins respective to individual functions (including free) used to be marked by highlighted (greyed) background in the given table cell, in rev.1. In rev.2, empty cells got filled by '-' marks, including the greyed-out cells which were in fact used. Then, somewhere along the line to rev.5, the highlights disappeared. Please mark clearly the Free I/O pins in that table.JW
