Posted on October 25, 2017 at 08:47Hi,I am using STM32F401RE. For my USB device application I used DFU class stack from STM32cube mx.I have ported stack to my application,It is working fine but I always misses first byte received after initialization of USB device and subsequent enumeration.HAL_PCD_EP_GetRxCount returns correct number bytes but HAL_PCD_EP_Receive gives no data.Following is code snippet of DATA out stage :volatile unsigned char rite_14[68];volatile unsigned int rite_11=0;USBD_StatusTypeDef USBD_LL_DataOutStage(USBD_HandleTypeDef *pdev , uint8_t epnum, uint8_t *pdata){ USBD_EndpointTypeDef *pep;unsigned int rite_12=0;if(epnum == 0) { pep = &pdev->ep_out[0];if ( pdev->ep0_state == USBD_EP0_DATA_OUT) { if(pep->rem_length > pep->maxpacket) { pep->rem_length -= pep->maxpacket;USBD_CtlContinueRx (pdev, pdata, MIN(pep->rem_length ,pep->maxpacket)); } else { if((pdev->pClass->EP0_RxReady != NULL)&& (pdev->dev_state == USBD_S

Posted on July 21, 2017 at 11:02I am trying to create a project for either the L469 Discovery or Nucleo-144 board using CubeMX.My setup is the following:CubeMX 4.22.0L4 Firmware v1.8.1Using STM32 AC6 latest versionIt appears as though CubeMX does not populate the FreeRTOS related directories with the required source files.Doing the same thing for an F4 board I have no problem, so I'm assuming it is an issue specific to either cubeMX or the latest version of the L4 firmware.Does anybody else have this issue?Anthony. #cubemx-project #stm32l4 #bug #cubemx #freertos

Posted on April 06, 2017 at 13:36Hi,I have a STM32F303 Nucleo-144 Development Kit and struggling to figure out which IDE to use. This is first project with Cortex-M micro-controller and I have a few queries:* If somebody who is aware of the software ecosystem can give some insights then it will be very helpful.* Is there a free IDE available?* STM32 Cube is only a GUI utility to generate configuration files that can be used along with other IDEs. Am I correct?Regards, Pj#ide #newbie #nucleo-f303

Posted on October 19, 2017 at 09:53Greetings people,I was wondering if the SRAM by CY62177EV30  is compatible with the FMC on STM32L496AEI with 20 bit address width and 16 bit data width.I can only use 20 bits from the address bus because of pin multiplexing constraints. There are 21 address pins on the SRAM I want to use so I am also unsure what to do with that. Is it okay not to connect that on SRAM? (I am aware this will result in halving of the total capacity of the SRAM)Best Regards,Mete#stm32l496 #sram #stm32 #stm32l4 #stm32l #cy62177ev30 #fmc

Posted on October 27, 2017 at 13:25Hi, I just moved a code from a STM32L476RCT6 on cubeMX V1.7.0 to V1.9.0I didn't change anythingWhen I start the push and start the program, it crash on the SystemClock_Config() with the new version. I tried again with the old one, and it work perfectly. Any idea what could create this problem? Thanks

Posted on October 25, 2017 at 21:34I have the USB HID demo working on an STM32F072B-DISCO board. I grabbed the code from the HID demo app to make a custom Windows project. Everything works alright, but I want to increase the report length (the demo report length is 2). I changed the HID_IN_PACKET and HID_OUT_PACKET macros to 64. After my device enumerates, USB Viewer shows the wMaxPacketSize as 64 as expected. However, the HIDP_CAPS InputReportByteLength and OutputReportByteLength in my Windows app are still reporting lengths of 2.How do I increase the input and output report lengths in the demo application?

Posted on October 26, 2017 at 18:49Hello,I am using an STM32F4 MCU and I have a doubt regarding the hardware event .The datasheet http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/reference_manual/3d/6d/5a/66/b4/99/40/d4/DM00031020.pdf/files/DM00031020.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00031020.pdf at section 12.2.3 says'The STM32F4xx are able to handle external or internal events ... ' It's clear for me the interrupt concept but it's not clear to me what is the difference between an hardware interrupt and and hardware event.Could you clarify it with a simple example ?Thank you in advance.Regards,Simon

Posted on October 26, 2017 at 14:01I have been looking over the datasheet and AN3308 for the LIS3DH Accelerometer in the hope that I can find a clear and concise explanation of how to interpret and scale the data.So far I have seen (VALUE)*(FS/2^BIT_RESOLUTION) which intuitively makes sense but doesn't correspond to the sensitivity scalers mentioned in the datasheet:Low Power Mode:      { 2g = 16mg/digit, 4g = 32mg/digit, 8g = 64mg/digit, 16g = 192mg/digit }Normal Power Mode: { 2g = 4mg/digit,   4g = 8mg/digit,   8g = 16mg/digit, 16g = 148mg/digit }High Power Mode:     { 2g = 1mg/digit,   4g = 2mg/digit,   8g = 4mg/digit,   16g = 12mg/digit }Additionally to this I have seen some people state that the FIFO buffer is only capable of 10 bit resolution, which again contradicts the contents of the datasheets. Posted on January 03, 2017 at 18:47Hi there, recently I was making acustic spectrometer using STM32F4-Discover. In my project im making FFT with 'arm_math' libraries and then I need to send data to PC (with which I'll display it) via UART.After making FFT  I recieve array of float32_t - I need to send it via UART.And here comes my question - how do I send them via UART. I've read that I can : use sprintf and send it like it was stringdivide float into 4x 8-bit uint and send it.How do I do that on STM? I preffer to use option 2.I'm using stdPeriphLibs - they are more clear to me.@Edit 18:00 7th of Jan 2017I have made a program like this:uint32_t speed;volatile unsigned char str;int i;union{    float32_t f;    uint8_t bytes[4];}float2int;/* ---------------------------------------------------------------------------*/int main(void){    speed = 9600;    _GPIO();    _LED();    //_NVIC(); &nb

Posted on October 25, 2017 at 18:38I'm using an STM32F746VGT6 microcontroller configured from STM32CubeMX for all the clocks and I'm getting roughly 220% higher clock rates reported for SystemCoreClock when compiled. For instance I have an HSE crystal at 11.2896MHz with the following main PLL settings:PLLM /11PLLN *234PLLP /2PLLQ /5I have selected HSE for PLL source and PLLCLK as System Clock Source. Doing that in STM32CubeMX yields 120.080291MHz.However, after SystemClock_Config(), SystemCoreClock = 265909059.Due to that discrepancy, the microcontroller thinks it's working 220% faster than it actually is so all my timings are off by that much.My first clue was when I configured SAI_BlockA1 and measured MCLK to be double than expected.  Then testing an output with HAL_Delay(50) gave me actual delay of 110ms.Has anyone else seen this issue and what could be the problem here? Thanks for any insight.#stm32f746 #stm32cubemx

Posted on June 27, 2017 at 16:27Hello ST team,I think the STM32CubeMX code generator has a big problem with screen resolution. I'm using a laptop with 4K display, so my CubeMX appears like following screenshots, which are annoying in many cases: Almost half of most table rows appear vertically, the texts sometimes are too small or too large and so on:Can this problem fix?Bests,Misagh#cube-mx #stm32cubemx

Posted on October 25, 2017 at 13:08Dear all,I am programing a STM32F429 for creating 4 PWM for inverter aplication. I managed to create these 4 PWM using TIMER1 and channel 1, channel 2, channel 1 N and channel 2 N.The inverter works pretty good using Bipolar mode (channel 1 and channel 2 creates same PWM and their channels N its negative ones).I have problems when I try to program Unipolar mode, which is channel 1 creates a PWM and channel 1 N the same but negative, BUT channel 2 shold be a PWM with same frecuency but duty cycle is different AND SHIFTED so that the channel 1 and channel 2 shold be centered. SEE ATTACHED pictures for a better understanding.I have programed everything but still is pending the shifting (o the delay 'moved') one PWM in relation the other.As you can see in the code (see at the end of the question), Timer 1 is fixed to 16KHz , and there is 2 duty cycles modification (channel 1 and channel 2), and its channel 1N and 2N are automatticaly created at this frec

Posted on September 21, 2017 at 07:14Hi Guys, I'm planning on using the LSM9DS1 as a heading sensor on my board, and I was curious about the functionality of some of the pins - I couldn't find any detailed description in the datasheet.The pin description describes Pins 5,6 (SDO_A/G, SDO_M) as 'I2C least significant bit of the device address' for I2C mode - are these required if talking to the module in I2C mode? Also am I correct in assuming that pins 7,8 (CS_A/G, CS_M) just need to be pulled high externally to VDD_IO to enable I2C mode?And are pins 9 - 13 required or is it possible to just use the I2C bus to talk to the module and read back measurements etc? I'm guessing the interrupts would be handy to alert to a fall or something like that but would not necessarily be required? And I'm not sure the purpose of the Data Ready, Data Enable Pins?Many Thanks in advance!Dave#lsm9ds1

Posted on October 24, 2017 at 19:03Hello, I'm trying to perform self-test feature of the lis3dh, by following the insctruction identified in the appliacation-note  AN3308. the Self-test output change Obtained is geater than the maximum value identified in the datasheet. (between 4000 Lsb and 5000 Lsb, in datasheet this value should be between 17 Lsb and 300 Lsb).Any idea ?Thanks in advance for your support STCommunity.

Posted on October 24, 2017 at 01:21I am using the STM32F429ZI.  I have setup four timers to slave from TIM3.  The timers are TM1, TM2, TM4, TM9.  All four are setup the same as PWM generators in One Pulse Mode and I have checked multiple times to make certain they are being triggered from the correct ITRx.  TM1,2,4 output on CH1 and TM9 on CH2.  TM1,2,4 create pulses on their output pins that match the expected delay and width, but TM9 does not output anything and is always low.  The configuration was setup in MXCube using the latest repository 1.16.0.  I double checked the PE6 (pin5 in my case - 144 QFP) by setting it to a GPIO.  I am able to toggle the pin and the output behaves correctly. All else is working as expected with Ethernet, Uarts, and other GPIO. MXCube does not complain that pin resources are in violation. Either I am missing something subtle or basic, or that is a bug.

Posted on October 20, 2017 at 04:17When I try to add the X-CUBE-AWS expansion library package to my STM32CubeMX (which has been updated to the latest version - 4.22.1) I get the error: 'This package version is not managed on this version of STM32CubeMX'.I used the drop down menu item under Help -> Install New Libraries in the STM32CubeMX , and pointed to a local copy of the 'en.x-cube-aws.zip' file. Is this the correct way to add the X-CUBE-AWS expansion library?Thanks in advance.

Posted on October 15, 2017 at 23:57Hello engineers,iam worikn on one project and i want to sync timers. Please correct me if iam wrong but in block diagram is shown ITR as control signal for whole timer(so all channels ale controlled by one ITR signal). But ITR cannot be maped to each timer. I need to clock ADC and DAC by one pulse timers(ADC and DAC has different clocks and have to work in different time slots so i need two one pulse timers to control two timers for clock periph's). And because i did not find any table with possible options ive turned to you. Could you help me with my issue? Many thanks!
