Posted on January 11, 2018 at 13:52 Hello I'm using stm32f411 and I have my server written in node.js. I want to make that my stm32 would send random string to my web server so it will be like a kind of a captcha when logging in. Is this even possible to make, or what is the easiest way to achieve it? Thanks in addition. #stm32-f4 #web-page #stm32f411 #websocket Note: this post was migrated and contained many threaded conversations, some content may be missing.

Posted on January 10, 2018 at 12:38Hello,I have a very similar problem to that asked by https://community.st.com/people/71687 on May 3, 2016. I have just installed SPC5Studio 5.7.1 and am attempting to use the Eclipse Marketplace to download the PowerPC-VLE GCC compiler as per the SPC5Studio installation instructions. When I click on Help->Eclipse Marketplace..., I (eventually) get a connection timeout: Connection to https://community.st.com/external-link.jspa?url=http%3A%2F%2Fvps182808.ovh.net%3A8080%2Fmarketplace%2Fapi%2Fp%3Fclient%3Dorg.eclipse.epp.mpc.core%26client.version%3D1.5.0.v20160608-1457%26os%3Dwin32%26ws%3Dwin32%26nl%3Den_GB%26java.version%3D1.8.0_91%26product%3Dcom.st.tools.spc5.studio.spc5Studio%26product.version%3D5.0.0.201607201759%26runtime.version%3D3.12.0.v20160606-1342%26platform.version%3D4.6.0.v20160606-1100 failed on Connection timed out: connect.I cannot access this URL via a browser. Posted on December 15, 2017 at 20:25Hi, I'm working with a LSM6DSMTR device connected via I2C to a Nordic Semi nRF52382.  I would like to use the FIFO feature and have a question about the address rounding:If I start the multiple data read at the FIFO_STATUS1 register and read 154 bytes, would that read the 4 bytes of status registers and 150 bytes of FIFO data?  Or does the first address have to be the FIFO_DATA_OUT_L register in order for the rounding to take effect?#rounding #fifo

Posted on November 29, 2017 at 08:52Hello there,Here is my CubeMX version:The libs versions:So I am using STM32L4. The bug is within ADC initialization procedure created by CubeMX. This is how to trace the bug:Locate this function:HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_ADC_ConfigChannel(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc, ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef* sConfig)In the file stm32l4xx_hal_adc.c. In line 2201 there is an assert:assert_param(IS_ADC_REGULAR_RANK(sConfig->Rank));The condition for it is wrong, If we go to the IS_ADC_REGULAR_RANK code we get:/**  * @brief Verify the ADC regular channel setting.  * @param  __CHANNEL__ programmed ADC regular channel.   * @retval SET (__CHANNEL__ is valid) or RESET (__CHANNEL__ is invalid)  */&sharpdefine IS_ADC_REGULAR_RANK(__CHANNEL__) (((__CHANNEL__) == ADC_REGULAR_RANK_1 ) || \                            &nb

Posted on January 09, 2018 at 15:53I have a http://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/b-l475e-iot01a.html, which I am using now to learn about how ST MEMS sensors work and if I can use them in my future PCB designs.I have found recently that ST provides a library to mix 9-axis sensor data to calculate the orientation of any device. This libraries are in the http://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-mems1.html.In my case, I want to use the 'MotionFX' library, mixing the data from Magnetometer+Gyroscope+Accelerometer which there are in this board.My problem is that the function 'MotionFX_initialize()' gets stuck and never leave. Due to the fact that ST doesn't give us the source code of the library, I can't understand why this function doesn't work, because according to the documentation, there is no requirements or preconditions to use this function.I have checked the assembly code (using TRUESTUDIO IDE) and this is the result:MotionFX_initialize:0800de00: ldr r1, [pc, &

Posted on January 08, 2018 at 16:39Hello,I am using IIS2DH to work for my application. But the problem rises when I measure the current it is consuming. At 25Hz with 40ms INT2 duration and Low Power Enabled with all axis, I am observing a current a current of 500uA which is not according to what mentioned in the data sheet of IIS2DH. The configuration is shown below:CTRL_REG1: 0x3FCTRL_REG4: 0x20CTRL_REG6: 0x20INT2_CFG: 0x04INT2_THS: 0x05INT2_DUR: 0x01The above configuration works perfectly for my application. However, it is consuming a lot of current. Am I missing something? Please help.Also, could anyone explain to me as to how BOOT_I2 bit on  CTRL_REG6 work ? what is its function? Where can i find information about it? #iis2dh

Posted on January 09, 2018 at 08:34Hi, I have a project with ADC clocked from timer3 using TRG0 on updateDMA connected to ADC with interrupt every 200 samples (ping pong style with 400 sample buffer).Timer15 set to clock from timer3 TRG0The beginning line of the interrupt routine is:void DMA1_Channel1_IRQHandler(void) {      cntreg1[cntcnt] = TIM15->CNT;      cntreg2[cntcnt++] = DMA1_Channel1->CNDTR;       if (cntcnt == 255)      {           while(1); // BREAKPOINT SET HERE      }         // CLEAR interrupt flags etc. and return below.When I Examine cntreg2 it has the expected values (200,400,200,400,200,400 etc. etc.)But when I examine cntreg1 it seems to be missing some of the events.  Actual Values: 175, 347, 523, 712, 911, 1111, 1311, 1510, 1697, 18

Posted on January 05, 2018 at 14:44Hi everyone,I want to use RTC module and LSE crystal which is default on board 32768KHz. I generate the code via STM32Cube because I couldn't find any example of RTC that used via LSE. After generated, the code doesn't pass the LSE ready check. I guess the reason for that issue isn't hardware because the code is running on discovery board. I have tried firmware 1.10 and 1.9 libraries for stm32l4 but the result is same. Where am I doing wrong?#stm32l476-discovery-board #lse-startup

Posted on November 15, 2017 at 22:56 I would like to understand how I can use DSP instructions in the STM32F746NG. I know that I can code them in assembly language using __asm, but I was looking for a more automatic way, such as an optimization option for gcc that can recognize things like FIR or IIR filters. Does that exist? Note: this post was migrated and contained many threaded conversations, some content may be missing.

Posted on November 27, 2017 at 16:07Hello, I am using the FLASH_EraseProgram  example to write/read from the flash memory.When I am trying to write the flash with double words(64 bits) and then read the values, the values doesn't save in the flash. I don't get any errors.If I am doing the same thing with a word(32 bits - FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_WORD) it works.What am i doing wrong ? What could be the problem ?

Posted on January 08, 2018 at 10:00hi,i have a FATVolume.imf with 3 files. I use AT+S.FSUPDATE to download in wifi module.Is it possible after it to delete 1 file with a cmd equivalent to AT+S.FSD (because this command has effect in the RAM memory volume and external SD card volume only and not User Flash) ?ThanksYoann

Posted on November 25, 2016 at 12:27Hi guys,as far as I know, STemWin library requires the CRC module to by enabled before calling GUI_Init(), to verify that it's running on STM32 platform (mentioned on this forum).As I plan to use CRC module in my application, is it safe to use it after STemWin is initialized? I tried to disable CRC module immediately after GUI_Init() and STemWin works fine. I just want to be sure, that STemWin needs CRC only during init.Thank you in advance for any comments! #stemwin #crc #stm32l4

Posted on January 03, 2018 at 22:16Hello.Why is it not possible to point the ._user_heap_section in the D2 RAM section?A tiny project based on SW4STM32 for NUCLEO-H743ZI is attached.I just modified the linker script to have _user_heap_stack in D2 and not DTCM or D1.I'm not able to debug this app.Basically there is a D1-to-D2 AHB bridge to provide a link via AXIM to the CPU.I have no idea because it works when it is located in D1 for instance.Thank you, Joerg

Posted on January 07, 2018 at 10:07HiI try to implement a VCP on a STM32F105RB with the STM32_USB-Host-Device_Lib_V2.2.0I was able to compile the Code sucessfully.My Hardwareconfiguration is the following:Mini USB directly (without series resistors) to D+ and D- of the STM32. +3.3V to PA9 (for BusSensing)After debugging start in atollic, the host detects a new device but it is not listed in the device manager.After few seconds, i get a BusFault on the STM. The BFARVALID is set and the BFAR is 0x1FFF 7A10This is interessting, since the Addressspace between 0x0804 0000 - 0x1FFF AFFF is reserved.If i restart the firmware 2-3 times (NOT the debugging process, only do a soft reset not a hard reset) and click run again, then it detects the VCP correctly after some tries. It shows a not working COM9 and a working COM10 in the device manager. And it does not end up in the bus fault anymore.Can anybody help me solve this problem?ThanksAttached are the Registers at BusFault and the Dissassembly

Posted on December 27, 2017 at 05:12 Hello STers, First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year full of success and prosperity. Well, as I'm starting to utilize the FMC/FSMC peripheral in one of my projects (interfacing a legacy chip), I have got some questions and would appreciate your help answering them. According to the datasheet (memory mapping), each bank is divided into 4-sub banks, 64 MBytes each. Aside from the fact that each bank assigns a unique Chip Select signal (CS), I couldn't find any reference to how one could calculate the offsets of these banks? For example, 0x6400 0000 is the base address for the second bank (NE2), but how was that obtained? I mean, adding 64MB to the base address of 0x60000000 has resulted to something around 67MB. For writing/reading, I'm using the following functions: uint8_t SRAM_ReadReg() { return *(uint8_t*)SRAM_ADDR; // Address defined earlier 0x60000000 } void SRAM_WriteReg(
