Hi all,yesterday I just booted the amazing STM32MP1 DK2 device with a brand new Yocto build (st-image-weston). Can't find the fw_cortex_m4.sh . Is that available just in the STM32CubeMP1_Package or maybe I need to add another layer and build for another target?

Hello, i had no response to that questionHow to go to a view from Model without using modelListennerto go to a view i call a virtual function from modelListenner DISPLAY_MYVIEW that do a call to presenters, and then to views (that then do application().gotoMyView(); )I want to display the MyView screen with a call from the model (on an external event; whatever is the screen currently shown)For that i don't want to call a virtual function from modelListenner: it would mean that have to define in each view and presenter the function DISPLAY_MYVIEW.Is it possible ?thanks for any supportbest regards

I am trying to use ov5640 camera with stm32l4r5 board nucleo-144. The ov5640 has SCCB bus which is similar to i2c. But ov5640 has register with 16bit address (0x300A, 0x300B like this). I used CUBEMX to initialise i2c pins and generated code. How can I communicate with camera using i2c. I am using following code but it is not working.int ov5640_init(I2C_HandleTypeDef *p_hi2c) { sp_hi2c = p_hi2c; int returnValue = 0; uint8_t buffer;   //ov5640_write(0x31, 0x11); //reg = ov5640_write(0x3008, 0x82); HAL_Delay(30);   returnValue = ov5640_read(OV5640_CHIPIDH, &buffer); if (buffer == 0x56) { returnValue = ov5640_read(OV5640_CHIPIDL, &buffer); if (buffer == 0x40) { return 0; } else { return 1; } } else { return 1; } }   static int ov5640_write(uint16_t regAddr, uint8_t data) { HAL_StatusTypeDef ret; do { ret = HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(sp_hi2c, OV5640_WR_ADDR, regAddr, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_16BIT, &data, 1, 100); } while (ret != HAL_OK &

I am using STM32F407VG board. I wanted to know about the reference voltage and ADC resolution available on this board. I couldn't find the exact info related to these parameters in the datasheets.

Hi,I'm using STM32 Lora Discovery kit to run the code generated by cubemx for RTC, While on debug i'm get the RTC values but when run normally then i'm not getting any values except the initialised values for the time.Thanks & Regards,Vijay Rakesh

I can not detect the UID through the CR95HF_TagDetect sample program. The program only detects the tag type but not the UID as described on page 15/21 of the UM2045 document (Figure 7). Where is this program described whose output is described in figure 7? Thanks to those who want to answer me.

If loading the on-chip flash from a .hex file, the Write Memory command can be used to write the hex file data records. However, what should done with the start address? Where does that get written? (Assumming an STM32G0, in my case.)

STEF01 has an interesting price but requires an external power MOSFET for reverse polarity protection. I see from the datasheet that ST has performed some measurements using external FETs, so which one would you recommend?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We are looking for a sensor that can identify tilt angle with respect to gravity. I have been looking around at 3-axis accelerometers but cannot be sure if these will work as a tilt angle sensor. Please advise.NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

Hello all, I tried to integrate touchGFX to STM32CubeMX and I'm using keil to complie all the files. The complication is successful yet mountains of errors occurs during linking ! All errors are of the same type like this: Error: L6654E: Rejected Local Symbol .x refered to from non group member x.o (.iar.stackusage) Please help! I think I'm almost there!

STM32L041F6 - I configured RTC for wakeup every second from Stop mode. It works ok, but after external reset (NRST pin) it not working. Program run in main while() only once, to line:HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);After switch power supply OFF / ON it is working again correctly with 1Hz wake up and stop mode. I am affraid, if cpu will be reset from some reason, application will be "freezed".I readed similar bugs about external wakeup, I tried more solutions, but it is still same. What is needed for fix "RTC wakeup bug"? What I forgot to do? Thanks

HiI would like to know if there is any IBIS models available for this devices?RegardsLin Biao

I read the 4.10.0 User Manual on CanvasWidgetRenderer. I was unsure what it means by "CanvasWidget will not allocate memory dynamically, but will use memory from the buffer kept in CanvasWidget -Renderer."I see the commented line in main.cpp://static uint8_t canvasBuffer[CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE]; //CanvasWidgetRenderer::setupBuffer(canvasBuffer, CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE);When I create screens with lineprogressbar the generated files all have :static const uint16_t CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE = 4800; uint8_t canvasBuffer[CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE];   CanvasWidgetRenderer::setupBuffer(canvasBuffer, CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE);Is it better to have one function (CanvasWidgetRenderer::setupBuffer(canvasBuffer, CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE);) called in main.cpp or have multiple screen call (CanvasWidgetRenderer::setupBuffer(canvasBuffer, CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE);) ?The application is running fine with multiple calls, but I was just afraid this will create memory problem if the buffer isn't returned during teardown.Thanks for the help!

I just designed a board with the new STM32F730Z8 value line with embedded USB high speed PHY. I'm using a 16MHz external crystal and I am using the default code generated with CubeMX. It fails in the USBD_Init function. Following it through at first glance I found that in usbd_conf.c there is this line:hpcd_USB_OTG_HS.Init.phy_itface = USB_OTG_ULPI_PHY;I changed the interface to USB_OTG_HS_EMBEDDED_PHY but it still fails. I imagine there could be some other settings that may be wrong as well. Any guidance on this?

Hi,I use SWD interface to configure my STM32 board.It all worked out, but I changed #define and moved to a part of the program that disabled the sw interface.Now my STLINK/V2 can not connect to the device.Do you have an idea to erase the chip or restore the SWD interface?#else /* DEBUG */ /* sw interface off*/ // GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure ={0}; // // GPIO_InitStructure.Mode = GPIO_MODE_ANALOG; // GPIO_InitStructure.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; // GPIO_InitStructure.Pin = (GPIO_PIN_13 | GPIO_PIN_14); // __GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE() ; // HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStructure); // __GPIOA_CLK_DISABLE() ; // // __HAL_RCC_DBGMCU_CLK_ENABLE( ); // HAL_DBGMCU_DisableDBGSleepMode( ); // HAL_DBGMCU_DisableDBGStopMode( ); // HAL_DBGMCU_DisableDBGStandbyMode( ); // __HAL_RCC_DBGMCU_CLK_DISABLE( ); #endif

We are using your TS512 with (+/-15V rails) as a low current (1mA), 10V voltage follower. We have a test case where the output the TS512 is pulled to a 19V/100mA source for just 600us, and I am trying to assess whether this transient could internally damage Q29 or Q30 or anything else in the o amp (referring to TS512 schematics from datasheet, see also below).My understanding is that during such transient the negative feedback would try to pull the output down to -15V to counter back that transient, hence Q29 would be cut-off and R13 would prevent the B-E junction from breakdown. On the other hand Q30, I think it would be almost fully "on", which would potentially create a differential voltage across R14 of 19-(-15)=34V. The question is: 1. Would the output still limit to 25mA so would R14 be safe -and by extension TS512- during those 600us)?2. Is there any other considerations to take into account to assess the robustness of this part under this transitory?NOTE: This question and

We are using an ST1S12GR device and the input current is >2.5mA even with only the feedback loop connected and ENable pin connected to Vin. Feedback resistors values are 220k resp. 59k. According to Datasheet Table 8 (“Electrical Characteristics?) Quiescent Current Iq should be max 650uA when non-switching, so how can we reduce current consumption?  NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. I would like to use TSC103 in a system where the power line to be monitored is 48Vdc (63V maximum peak or steady state) and the ADC acquisition system is powered by a 5V voltage independent from the 48V line; so my doubt is if any failure can occur if the main monitored 48V line is present but 5V for Vcc is missing. Datasheet is not explicitly mentioning this operating condition, will it work without risk of damage? NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We are considering to use L6924U for a new design for a battery charging circuit in our industrial wireless remote controller project. If we set up L6924U for AC input (MODE grounded), do we need to do anything with IUSB pin? Can we just ground it (w or w/o resistor) or leave it floating or tie it to IAC pin? We are using L6470PD driver IC for driving 2-phase stepping motor. Problem is related to external clock and internal clock setting in L6470.In fact, we noticed different motor rotation speed when we switch between external clock of 16MHz and internal clock of 16MHz generated by OSC. We realized that motor rotation number in using external clock is slower x 0.666 than using internal clock in 16MHz clock. This is an important aspect of our application where we have to use internal and external clock with exactly same resulting motor speed.By the way, is there any method of changing motor speed without changing SPEED parameters?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. I'm using the SPWF04SA module to write sensor data to Azure Storage Table service by sending https POST request over a socket connection. The application works fine for some hundred requests over several hours but occasionally a WIND: NtpServerDelivery message just occurs when I have opened the socket for writing which makes my program hang (yet unknown reason).To circumvent this problem I wanted to control the SPWF04SA ntp client so that the WIND: NtpServerDelivery messages occur at a time where I'm just not opening a socket.I can switch off the NtpServerDelivery with AT+S.SCFG (ip_ntp_startup = 0) command but I'couldn't manage to change the refresh interval with AT+S.SCFG (ip_ntp_refresh = xxxx). Whatever value I write to the 'ip_ntp_refresh' variable (success controlled by reading it back), the WIND: 'NtpServerDelivery' events comes in every 60 minutes.Is there something I could be doing wrong?Is there a way to control the timing of the WIND: NtpServerDelivery messages?

Hi, I can't get the correct fix rate for x-nucleo-gnss1a1Using following command:$PSTMSETPAR,1303,0.1,0$PSTMSAVEPAR$PSTMSRRwhat I expected is update rate 10Hz, i.e., the timestamp is increasing 0.1 each time. However, the result isabove the red line, one can see that it is updating at the rate of 10Hzbelow the red line, it is updating at the rate approximately 3HzIf I reset the program, it will maintain 10Hz for about 1 sec, then back to 3Hz.If I power off the stm32 and power on, it will maintain 10Hz for a while, then back to 3Hz.Any idea or advice will be appreciated, thank you so much.

Hi,I'm planning to buy an STM32MP1 discovery kit (when available) and I'm wondering how to get access to the distribution package. I read on wiki.st.com that I have to request these rights to my ST support contact but I can't found out how to do it.Thanks in advance
