After unzip a STM32CubeL4 Rev 1.14.0 file.I open B-L475E-IOT01_BSP_User_Manual.chm file. It hasn't texts in each item.But Rev 1.13.0 has texts in each item.I am not sure this file is incomplete in a ZIP file or not.

Hello, I installed the latest driver version Unico 8.0.0. Now my board is shown in the decive manager.Ready to use.. Everything looks good.Now I am trying to update the FW in the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board. First I pressed the BT2 Button and pluged the USB into the Laptop(Win7 and Win10). The blue LED (D6) is on, but there is no available DFU Device in the DfuSe Demo (v3.0.5). I noticed that, when I unplug the device and replug it without pressing the BT2 button, the LED (D1) no longer blinking as it did before. As if I was stuck in DFU mode.If I press the BT3 vor reset the LED (D1) is on for half a second. does anyone have any idea what this could be or how I can update the FW?Best regards,Chris

Hello,I'am new on using CubeMX and HAL functions. I would like to know if interrupt callback functions, that can be use for execute some code after ISR, are executed from inside interruption scope.I'm asking that because as a programing good pratices, code executed within interrupt routine should be as short as possible to avoid latency and nested interrupts. So, if _callback runs within interruption it should be short either.Thanks in advance.

Hi All,Our board has touch screen of resolution 480 x 272, surrounded by a touch sensitive area containing 11 touch sensitive buttons. The touch controller handles the screen and the touch buttons, we have coding written C workinghandling this. Also, we have SDRAM with 64Mb with 16-bit data interface. The on board micro is the STM32F429. So far all the code is written in C using Keil uVision. Handling out custom touch buttons, is that just a matter of creating a custom callback for touch interface handler? if not please suggest how it might be handled.The aim is speed up GUI development and use our existing non-GUI code.Kind RegardsMikeZ

Posted on June 19, 2018 at 19:10I need to integrate an NFC reader for medical device pairing. I already designed a tag for the sensor which works with my phone.The next step for me is to add an NFC reader to the portable monitor. The biggest antenna I can fit into the back of the monitor is about 15cmx10cm and as it is quite big, I picked the ST25R3911B to drive it because it has good power. I need a read range of about  20-30cm. Apparently, the best standard to achieve such range is ISO15693. My current tag uses ISO14443/B but I can easily swap the IC with something like the MLR24LR.The sensor has a zigbee chip, and I only need the NFC to exchange the encryption key (about 128bytes with all metadata), so datarate is not important.Some info:- Tag is 45mmx35mm, using TI RF430CL330, but if ISO15693 is preferred, I can swap the IC and redesign the PCB.- The max antenna I can fit inside my monitor (NFC reader) is 15cmx10cm.- I need to pass 128bytes of data. Posted on November 03, 2017 at 16:04Hello everyone,As several people on this forum, I am trying to implement some kind of 'USB keyboard' with an STM32F103C8.I am working with truestudio and cubeMx, and I use the USB library provided.I have update the descriptor and I have no problem to send keys and modifiers to the computer, reproducing exactly a keyboard behavior. However, in those examples : STM32Cube_FW_F1_V1.6.0/Projects/STM3210C_EVAL/Applications/USB_Device/CustomHID_StandaloneSTM32Cube_FW_F1_V1.6.0/Projects/STM3210C_EVAL/Applications/USB_Device/HID_StandaloneI have not seen anyway to read the report provide by the computer about the LED states (Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, Num Lock). My descriptor includes an output report for this information.  In fact, I would like to know how it is possible to implement the same function as 'USBD_HID_SendReport' to 'receive report'. Or more simply, where can I find an example doing that?Thanks for your help!#usb-hid-keyboard #stm32f1

I am trying to find the datasheet, reference manual for STM32 Nucleo 144 - F429ZI board.Basically, the document which talks about Functional block diagram - how the GPIO pins are connected to which bus. Next, I am looking out for the reference manual to program the registers. I have got some documents but then I realized they were for discovery board but I am looking for the STM32 F429ZI - Nucleo 144 board.

Hello All,I recent implemented a DMA transfer for SD card data to RAM (technically an external SDRAM) on the STM32F765VI. Previously we had been using an IT transfer. In other words, we are now using SDCard_WriteBlocks_DMA rather than SDCard_WriteBlocks_IT. The original motivation for this change being the fact that 480,000 byte size IT transfers to an from the SD card cause roughly 20 thousand ISRs, whereas the DMA method only causes 4 ISRs total (2 SDMMC dataend ISRs and 2 transfer complete DMA ISRs). I expected a large performance increase, but ended up actually getting a slight decrease in performance. Both methods take roughly 0.5 seconds. This is with the clock running at 200MHz. All of this is single threaded without a kernel. I am using a 4 word burst on both the peripheral and memory side of the DMA. I wanted to ask the community if these speeds are typical, and if not, does anyone have any recommendations on how to speed up the transfer?I could add a double buffer, but it see

Hi everyone,I have been trying to just test the ethernet on the STM32H743zi nucleo board.The problem is that the example does not compile in any way. I assume it's because I am using the very obscure, not intended for STM32, atollic true studio and there isn't any example for it.Anyway I try to import the SW4STM32 and it seems to be fine. I checked most of the include paths and they are fine. However nothing is included.The deprecated_definitions.h isn't included, I add that manually to the project folder and a ton more stuff is not included.I even checked and the example is including ARM_M4F port for freertos! I honestly just want to check if the hardware is working, not spend a day with software problems, program the board and then not be sure if it doesn't work because of something I missed in the software.Why not also provide the .elf to program? Anyone can provide a working .elf demo for the nucleo board?I have been trying to use STM32CubeMX to create a LWIP project and I've compa

Dears,I need help with this function; I can't enter system memory bootloader using the jump function{void(*systemMemoryJump)(void);/* pointer to function */ volatile uint32_t add = 0x1FFFEC00 ; HAL_RCC_DeInit();  /* disable systick timer */ SysTick->CTRL = 0 ; SysTick->LOAD = 0 ; SysTick->VAL = 0 ; __disable_irq(); /* Disable interrupts */ __HAL_SYSCFG_REMAPMEMORY_SYSTEMFLASH(); systemMemoryJump = (void(*)(void))(*((uint32_t*)(add+4))); USART_SendData8_USART1(0x55); __set_MSP(*(uint32_t*)add); /* Set stack pointer */ systemMemoryJump();}The controller stuck after send the get command.

All,I am getting an issue when attempting to write to the SD card using a DMA burst transfer. I am transferring bytes to words in burst sizes of 16 beats to 4 beats respectively. I am using the full FIFO and direct mode is disabled. Memory is incrementing and the peripheral is not. After debugging it has become clear that my transmit complete and FIFO error both trip as I am configuring the SD data path state machine, which happens in the application code after I have already enabled the SD and DMA for the transfer. This does not happen when I set up the read in a similar fashion. This happens right after this line of code is executed /* Write to SDMMC DCTRL */ MODIFY_REG(SDMMCx->DCTRL, DCTRL_CLEAR_MASK, tmpreg);I am configuring the SD as follows.    /* Configure the SD DPSM (Data Path State Machine) */    config.DataTimeOut  = SDMMC_DATATIMEOUT;   config.DataLength   = BLOCKSIZE * Number

Hello,I am having issues with using the DMA to transfer SD card data to RAM. This may have to do with my configuration settings, because the FIFO error register is automatically set when I configure the SD card DPSM (not when I enable the DMA configuring the DPSM happens after enabling the DMA in the HAL). I get small transfers to work just fine, but larger transfers that almost fill the DMA 16 bit counter are causing issues. It seems as thought the SD card is offsetting the data being transferred after my first few transfers. This offset only happens once, and then is consistently wrong. It seems as if the destination on the SD card is correct, but it is pulling from the wrong memory address. Even though I check that the memory address that I insert into this writeblocks function is the same every time. I should say that the DBKEND bit is being set in my smaller transfers, but not the larger transfers. My smaller transfers also don't require that I poll for the SD card status because

Hello:Previously using CMSIS, I was able to read or read/write this accelerometer device. Using HAL, I am having some problems. To start, I am trying to read the ID register. I am writing in the address and a dummy byte. The address for the ID register (who am I) is 0xF. The read value of the register should return 32. According to the data sheet (see attached clip for the "read" page), the opcode should be written with the register address, and for a read, the MSB should be 1. On an 8 bit address, this should be 0x80uint8_t address = 0xF | 0x80; //0x8Fassert_CS_low();HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(&hspi3, &address, &SPIdata,2, HAL_MAX_DELAY); assert_CS_high();printf("return data = %i\n", SPIdata);It returns the "ore'd" address value of 0x8F. Changing the number of bytes to 1 makes no difference.Ditto for configuration register 1 at address 0x20. I have also tried clocking in an additional dummy byte but it does not make a difference. The clock appears to be sending the 2x 8

Use cubemx to generate the project, then use the slider effect to switch screen and everything will run fine in the simulator.But I burned MDK to the hardware and didn't see the slider effect.Is there something wrong with the transplant?

Hi,as now CubeIDE is released, will the development of new features for Truestudio end? Should we use CubeIDE for new projects now, or can we continue using Truestudio and still get new features and bugfixes?Thanks!

I tried to import an Atollic project into STMcubeIDE (which so far doesn't work at all).The import appears to succeed, but the ARM toolchain is not set up correctly and shows "orphaned configuration/toolchain":Has anyone been able to get this to work?Thanks for any tips!Best Regards, Dave

I am using DFU to load my application code in to target board, I can be able to convert application build in to dfu build and also be able to load using DfuSe tool in to my target board.I want to enable the ROP (level-1) in STM32, for that I need to change the default value of option bytes, Can anyone know how to modify the default value of option bytes for STM32 uC/chip using DFU.

Posted on January 10, 2017 at 21:30 Hi, I didn't find any report posted about this issue so here we are. There is a stupid bug in the implementation of HAL_I2C_Mem_Read()@STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.0/Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32f4xx_hal_i2c.c. The 'Size' parameter is supposed to be used only to initialize the transfer size, but it is also misused during the transfer to check the number of bytes left for reading (see the marked line in the code below). In result if in the last loop iteration there are 2 bytes left, code block expecting 3 bytes on the bus could be executed and the function hangs (till the timeout event, not shown here). HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(I2C_HandleTypeDef *hi2c, uint16_t DevAddress, uint16_t MemAddress, uint16_t MemAddSize, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout) { /*....*/ /* Prepare transfer parameters */ hi2c->pBuffPtr = pData; hi2c->XferCount = Size; hi2c->XferOptions = I2C_NO_OPTION_FRAME; hi2c->XferSize = hi

Hi, for my thesis i'd like to do an hexapod(it'll have like 14 servos) and a camera for facial recognizer. I was thinking about an arduino for the control of the robot and a pi3 for the facial recognizer, and then stm32 came to me. Will I be able to do the previously presented with just a STM microcontroller or microprocessor, if it's possible which one would be?Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone!I have 2 fixed PWM of 40kHz (TIM1_CH1, TIM1_CH1N) and one modulation at 80 kHz fitted into the others, matching the steps by zero.Instead of this, I have this signals:There is a gap between them of 1us.This is the timers declaration: void TIM1_3config(void){ TIM_OCInitTypeDef TIM_OCInitStructure; TIM_BDTRInitTypeDef TIM_BDTRInitStructure; NVIC_InitTypeDef NVIC_InitStructure; // Enable the TIM1 Interrupt NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannel = TIM1_UP_IRQn; NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelPreemptionPriority = 0; NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelSubPriority = 1; //menos prioritat que TIM1(PWM) NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelCmd = ENABLE; NVIC_Init(&NVIC_InitStructure); NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannel = TIM3_IRQn; NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelPreemptionPriority = 0; NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelSubPriority = 2; //menos prioritat que TIM1(PWM) NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelCmd = ENABLE; NVIC_Init(&NVIC_InitStructure);

I am using STM32F103C8 board and CubeMX to create the code. I have connected the M66 to STM32 to UART2 port. I try to send some commands to Quectel M66 via STM32's UART port. It receives the command but throws some junk characters. I have set the baud rate as 9600 for all UART ports. This is my codevoid M66_Check() { char *buffer = "ATI\r\n"; char *rec_buffer = NULL; rec_buffer = (char*)malloc(200 * sizeof(char)); if(HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2,buffer,strlen(buffer),200) == HAL_OK) { printf("AT Command sent successfully\r\n"); HAL_Delay(1000); } else { printf("Not Sent\r\n"); } HAL_UART_Receive(&huart2,rec_buffer,50,200);   printf("About to print Response from M66 \r\n"); HAL_Delay(2000);   printf(rec_buffer); }

I have a setup with a STM32L452 Nucleo-64, and has connected a CAN transceiver to it. This is in turn connected to a CANDO dongle to a PC. With the current setup I'm currently able to transmit data from the STM32 to the PC with no fail. The reception on the STM32 however does not work.I have measured the traffic on the CAN RX to pinout with an oscilloscope and the data seems to be there just as expected. Yet it is not picked up by the CAN interface on the STM32.I have tried both using a callback and polling to see whether the RX fifo ever gets any data, but that is not the case.I have also tried watching the CAN1_RX0_IRQHandler to see if it ever gets triggered, which I understand it should when data is received, yet it does not.I dont really know how to go forward from here, so any help would be appreciated.

Posted on September 28, 2017 at 16:47Hello everyoneYesterday i buy a Nucleo-F746ZG, i installed SW4STM32, ST-LINK/V2 Drivers and http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcus-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32cube-embedded-software/stm32cubef7.html examples, first of all i try the Demonstration firmware and all was good.Finally i decide to try the Uart Example and here start the problems, i download on the board the firmware using SW4STM32 and the usb cable, then i try to read the messages with several terminals (Termite, Hyperterminal, Putty) but i not see any message(i also try to reset it using push button on the board but nothing), using the oscilloscope on the TX and RX lines on the CN5 connector i see a fixed 3.3 V.I make something wrong? any idea about the problem?Thank's for the attention and for the help #nucleo-f746 #example #uart #problem

How can I check the revision of the m7 core without checking the registers?The revision r0p0 and r0p1 have a problem. When debugging  jump to a timer interrupt or debug sequence is bad.So I would like to know how to check revision in advance when buying m7 core.
