Hi,I wrote a simplest program (below) to send sine wave data to PCM5102A (DAC) via I2S.However, I found only L-ch data is valid and R-ch has no data.Analogue (DAC) output of L-ch is somewhat sine wave, but it is sometimes de-formed. And if I look it closer, I found some noise on the signal. (below captured screen shot)I use HAL and STM32F401. And I2S settings are half-duplex master transmit (only).Kindly enlighten me what is wrong with my program.int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config();   MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_I2S2_Init(); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LD2_GPIO_Port, LD2_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); // LED Off   int16_t Wave_Data[n_data * 2];   for (int i = 0; i < n_data; i++) { Wave_Data[i * 2] = (int16_t) (sin(2. * M_PI * 8. * i / 1000.) * 50) ; // L-ch Wave_Data[i * 2 + 1] = (int16_t) (sin(2. * M_PI * 10. * i / 1000.) * 50) ; // R-ch } while (1) { if (Wave_buf_empty == 1) { while ((&hi2s2)->State != HAL_I2S_STATE_READY) ; if (HAL

HelloI'm using the "en.fp-sns-allmems2", which send data from sensor with a ultra-low power consumption. I'm traying to increase the time in which the sensor is in shut down mode.I think that I've to change the value of the variable  SHUT_DOWN_TIME_OUT which is define in code like this#define SHUT_DOWN_TIME_OUT 20000UL"¿Can anyboday tell me how is translate to seconds 20000UL?Thanks

Hi, Does anyone have a recommendation for a far field antenna to use with ST25RU3993-EVAL board? Right now I'm using the near field loop antenna that comes with the Dev kit. Cheers,Mirnesa

I am designing a SiC inverter for a Formula SAE student team, using a 72MHz STM32F302CC with the motor control library. The desired switching frequency is 50-100kHz, depending on the device we select. Reading the motor control manual, I discovered that "the FOC loop is... executed at the PWM frequency rate (That is: once every PWM Period)." Will I encounter any issues with the complex FOC loop executing so quickly on a 72MHz processor? The only extra processing I plan on doing is some simple state machine logic, receiving torque command CAN messages and sending status CAN messages.I'm looking into using the STGAP1AS gate driver. Is 100kHz PWM output feasible considering reasonable parasitics? I understand that the typical MCU I/O pin capacitance is 5pF, the gate driver's input should be high impedance (but I can't figure that out from the datasheet), and the MCU and gate driver will reside relatively close on the same PCB.I am using an F302 because all my other sub-systems use it, but

Hello,I would like to build a circuit to drive a three phase BLDC motor and the board EVSPIN32F0251S1 seems to be a choice, but i can't find the software easily. Does anyone know a three phase BLDC firmware project for this board? My build tool is Keil MDK5.Thanks,Wayne

I am using STM32h743 , code is generated using STM32CubeMx.I am using USB_OTG_FS in device only mode, with USB_DEVICE middleware configered as CDC class .Here's my clock configurationThe usb is clocked from RC48I could reduce the clock from 480MHz to 120 MHz by changing RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLP from 2 to 8 .But when I try to change clock to 96MHz or 80 MHz by changig RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLP to 10 or 12, the USB is not recognized by windows!!!I am using windows 10 .How to overcome this problem?

I'm really struggling with this problem. This is my first time trying to do anything low power, so please forgive any noob mistakes. All I'm trying to do is get the hang of a simple low power program so I can apply it to a larger one. My code is here: https://pastebin.com/zF5aPFGk It's literally just about as simple as it can get, I've tried various combinations of commenting and uncommenting different functions (you'll notice some things like SYSCLKConfig_STOP(); commented out, but don't worry, it's been tried). It's just running on the 4MHz MSI default clock, with a 32.768kHz LSE connected to the RTC and LPUARTAll the code should do is:turn on an LEDprint some text over UARTwait 5secturn off the LEDprint some more textgo back to sleep.Yet I kept getting random hardfaults. Eventually after days of debugging I've tracked it down to the stack becoming utter garbage as soon as it wakes up from STOP2 mode. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?Stack before wfi instruction executes:x/16x

I created a new project from scratch based on a Nucleo L053R8 board using the STM32CubeIDE wizard. At compile time, I get a lot of errors in hal include files I even do not care about. Ic annot understand why. Example :../Drivers/STM32L0xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32l0xx_hal_rcc_ex.h:1959:1: error: unknown type name 'HAL_StatusTypeDef'; did you mean 'FLASH_TypeDef'?Looking at HAL_StatusTypeDef, it is defined in file stm32l0xx_hal_def.h which is included in the file it finds an error : stm32l0xx_hal_rcc_ex.h !!!all the other errors are of the same type with definition in stm32l0xx_hal_def.h included in the file where the error is found.What is wrong ? Is it a bug ?

Hi,I'm using a STM32F4 Discovery board which has a STM32F407VG with a LIS3DSH accelerometer which is connected by SPI. I'm trying to read a register from the accelerometer and I tried writing the address of the register to SPI->DR. But SPI->DR shows an incorrect value in the System Viewer window and in the Memory window. I have attached a picture with the corresponding portions highlighted in yellow.But this code still gets the correct value from the accelerometer.Thanks

Hi everyone.At this moment I'm working in an integration on an old project which used Standard Peripherals Library instead of HAL libraries.Here, when I try to write in FLASH memory I find the next line:assert_param(IS_FLASH_ADDRESS(Address));Which basically is checking if the given address is inside the range [0x08000000, 0x080FFFFF). In my particular case, I'm trying to write inside the range [0x00000000, 0x0003FFFF], that is also flash memory for user when BOOT pins are set in a certain way.Is possible to write in this positions using this libraries?I'm working with a STM32F105VC, and the line I talked you about is inside the function FLASH_ProgramWord(...) of this lib.Thank you. My best regards.Areify.

Hello,I have a question to the STEVAL-BCN002V1B. I try some BLE-Examples and flash the bord with some firmware example from the SDK. Now I can't pair the board with my mobile phone ST APP. Which firmware do I have to use to get the default factory settings back.Thanks a lot for your support.Cheers Max

Hello, I am developing a circuit using STM32L4R9AI, VDD = 1.8v, VDDA&VREF+ = 3.13v, according to ST hardware design manual (I attached) for a better power filtration there should be bead between VDD and VDDA, will that create a problem given the voltages I used?As I know bead equivalent circuit is inductor in series with small resistor so I am shorting the 2 voltage this way?the bead I will use is BLM15BX601SN1D

Dear friends, I am trying to establish a robust TCP interaction between two different boards with the same MCU (stm32f407vgt6) and ethernet phy (dp83848cvv) and I use lwIP Netconn APIs as TCP/IP stack and freeRTOS as a real time operating system.In both MCUs I must run a TCP server task and a TCP Client task. When both boards are connected together directly there is no problem. The problem occurs when both boards are connected through a network switch. After working for a while, the boards TCP tasks (Server & Client) stop working and the boards do not ping. (Ping request is timed out.)The code for Server and Client tasks are as bellow:void Task_TCP_Server(void const * argument) { /* init code for LWIP */ MX_LWIP_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN 5 */ struct netconn *conn, *newconn; err_t err, accept_err; struct netbuf *buf; void *data; u16_t len; err_t recv_err; uint8_t *tcp_rx_buf; uint8_t temp_buff[100] = {0}; data_type respond_len = {0}; data_type start_addr = {0

Hi there,1.My first question is about encoder index.I know that encoder index(so called Z pulse) is applicable in G4 series. (RM0440 1,109 pages)However I can't find that feature in any of H7 and F7 sereis.2.I know that the maximum resolution of HRTIM in G4 is 184 ps resolution. (RM0440 801 pages)However, in H7 series such as H743, the maximum resolution is 2.1ns even though the clock of H7 is more faster than G4. (I found that the CKPSC[2:0] values from 000 to 100 are reserved in H7.)My project is motor control and DC/DC converter(up to 1MHz switching with duty control) and I considering to use m7 core because of computing power.Are the G4 series the best for my project or is there a more suitable one?3.Similar question.What is the best MCU in ST that can be used for motor control and DC / DC converter control?My project require much computing power.

From my preliminary survey, ST provides bootloader source code, kernel source code, and Yocto/Linux for SW developers to customize the file system (rootfs) to add/remove the open source tools and framework. Is my understanding correct?

Hi,I am using a NUCLEO F334 development board.I am using the ADC with the DMA. I developed that feature and tested and everything looked alright. I have been developing some more over that and I see that after startup the values are correct but after a few ms the read values are not correct and in the checked cases, above the expected value.I have seen that changing totally unrelated parts of code affect this issue happening or not. Changing the compiler optimization also affected whether the issue happens or not. Browsing around I found an article discussing the usage of the volatile keyword on variables tied to hardware, like the DMA buffer and using the volatile keyword in that buffer made it look like it was the solution as adding or removing the change allowed for repeatable tests where the issue was happening or not, and I moved on. A few unrelated changes later, the issue is back. Do you have any suggestion of what should I check or what is the reason? In addition, find attached

i have got a problem when i download stm32cubeide and install. i have download the file "en.gnu-tools-for-stm32-7-2018-q2-update.20190328-1800.zip" is correct? i have extracted the file, but can not find out the installation file in extract folder. any problem. thank you.kevin

Updated Question:I have a custom PCB board with L052K8 and F051K8 with the same peripherals and correct hardware design for each (F051K8 has a VSSA for the ADC and different bypass cap), but only the L051K8 is able to program its firmware and reset correctly.I was initially designing the board for the L052K8 and could not figure out what was wrong for weeks, so I pretty much chose a different chip with the same footprint and peripherals (F051K8) at the end to minimize re-designing the hardware. The L052K8 does not seem to program its firmware or reset after it's been disconnected from ST-link and the IDE.Can someone please explain this?Original Question:Hi, I've just made a custom board for STM32L052K8, and I can't get the board to work. It seems that the connection is successful and I am able to program it using ST link (SWD).I programmed a very simple GPIO application with STM32CubeIDE (which I have verified using a nucleo board), and the firmware seems to run initially.However, when

Hi all,I'm currently using STM32F051K8 for a smartwatch project I'm pursuing on a custom made PCB. For power consumption reasons, I wanted to change the MCU to STM32L051K8 which has the exact same UFQFPN-32 footprint.Now, my project works perfectly fine using the F051K8, but I cannot get Keil to program L051K8 correctly. I've swapped the bypass capacitor correctly and 3.3V is workable for both MCUs.So I have even tried a simple LED blink program, in which Keil works correctly to program the F051K8, but cannot program L051K8.The funny thing is, the build works without any errors, and loads up to the board without any errors, but after a reset, the L051K8 does not seem to run the applicationI've used cubeMX to build the skeleton project, then I used Keil to write out the rest of the firmware code.Is there anything I should change on the firmware for using the L051K8 instead of F051K8? I have very limited knowledge on heap and stack and memories and all that which is making it very diffic

Hi!I have a STM32F765ZITx as master and a STM32F051C8Tx board as slave that im trying to communicated with each other over IrDa. The master is sending 6 bytes (2 startbytes, 1 length of data byte, 1 databyte, 2 checksum bytes) to the slave, which works as a request that the slave is going to transmit back to master a standard reply message containing 14 bytes of data (19 byte including header and checksum). Master transmits every 100ms. My problem is that the slave is receiving the correct header every two samples. This is the situation:sample 1: 254 251 1sample 2: 0 251 1sample 3: 254 251 1 sample 4: 0 251 1sample 5: 254 251 1  .  .  .So the slave is transmitting the standard reply back every two samples. Here is my init of IrDA on both boards:static void MX_USART1_IRDA_Init(void) { hirda1.Instance = USART1; hirda1.Init.BaudRate = 9600; hirda1.Init.WordLength = IRDA_WORDLENGTH_8B; hirda1.Init.Parity = IRDA_PARITY_NONE; hirda1

I have requirements to keep a header bar with a number of status indicators visible on all screens. At first I created a custom component representing the header bar and placed it on all screens. But that is a duplication and any time I change screens, the bar animates with it.I then tried using swipe containers, but TouchGFX designer crashed with an array index out of bounds error every time I tried to hide the container I'm not editing. Any insight as to how to maintain a common container for part of the screen on all screens/views?

I am trying to go in standby and wake up after few seconds repeatedly with using RTC wake-up timer but I am having problem after second sleep. It goes sleep, wakes up and then goes sleep again like I expected but after that point(after second sleep) it never wakes up again. I am too having sleep disorder sometimes but I think it is problem for health forums. Anyway my code is like that: int main(void){ HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); uart_init(); led_init(); adc_init(); while(HAL_ADC_Start_IT(&pADC1)!=HAL_OK) {HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOD,GPIO_PIN_15); HAL_Delay(100);} HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOD,GPIO_PIN_15); HAL_Delay(1000); __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WU); enter_standby_mode(); while (1) { }}void enter_standby_mode(void){ RCC->APB1ENR |= RCC_APB1ENR_PWREN; //enable PWR RCC->APB1RSTR |= RCC_APB1RSTR_PWRRST; RCC->APB1RSTR &= ~RCC_APB1RSTR_PWRRST; PWR->CR |= PWR_CR_DBP; //Disable backup domain write protection RCC->CSR |= RCC_CSR_LSION;

Hi everybody)I have a problem with exiting after shutdown mode. Entering codeif( (LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_C1SB() == 0) || (LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_C2SB() == 0) ) { /* Set the lowest low-power mode for CPU2: shutdown mode */ LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN); } HAL_RTCEx_BKUPWrite(&hrtc, 5, 0x0005); HAL_PWREx_ClearWakeupFlag(PWR_FLAG_WU); HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1_LOW); HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSHUTDOWNMode();My board have a button in PA0 with external pullup resistor.When I press the button MCU exiting from shutdown mode, but my function if (__HAL_PWR_GET_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUF1)) ...return FALSE always. My starting code:int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */   /
