Can either the STM32F0Discovery board, OR, even just its STM32F051R8T6, be run from a voltage supply of 3V?If so, how is this done? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, this is the default implementation of HAL_Delay function for stm32h7xx_hal.c (and I assume many other hals too)__weak void HAL_Delay(uint32_t Delay) { uint32_t tickstart = HAL_GetTick(); uint32_t wait = Delay;   /* Add a freq to guarantee minimum wait */ if (wait < HAL_MAX_DELAY) { wait += (uint32_t)(uwTickFreq); }   while ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) < wait) { } }The issue here is that it does not cover the overflow corner case. Let's say that Delay =100 and tickstart = HAL_GetTick() happens to be 0xFFFFFFFE.This will cause an infinite loop.If the tick gets incremented by 1ms this overflow happens at leats once every 50 hours.Where could I add suggestion for code changes? A simple check as this could solve the issue.__weak void HAL_Delay(uint32_t Delay) { uint32_t tickstart = HAL_GetTick(); uint32_t wait = Delay;   /* Add a freq to guarantee minimum wait */ if (wait < HAL_MAX_DELAY) { wait += (uint32_t)(uwTickFreq); }   // Overf

In my project after some time, I need to turn off the STM32F103C8Tx (or reduce it's current consumption as much as I can). Can I do it programatically? I do not want to change my hardware design.

Dear EngineersI am doing some measurements and tests about NFC antennas. I choose ST25DV ANT_C1, C6 as my measured object. However, I cannot find the reference value(like industance and capacitance) of these antenna. I found some reference values of other antenna boards as the fellow picture shows. Unluckily, it doesn't present the information I indeed need.looking forward to your reply

I use i.mx6 solo Dual to interface st25dv04k . i used i2c interface. I am able to access that i2c bus but after that how to write data that i want to know.I know i2c protocol but on linux platform how to write data i don't know if possible then please give me example for write data to st25dv04k.

I am using the STM32L496VGT (100 pin) MCU and using USB_OTG_FS_DP and USB_OTG_FS_DM for data transmission. If I set the GPIO pull up for these pins (PA11 and PA12), will that act as the required pull up for the USB?

Hi,we are currently developing our own board using the STM32MP151 MPU.Currently i am working on the FSBL in the non secure mode using U-boot.I am able to generate a device tree with CubeMX, compile U-Boot and download it via STM32 Cube Programmer over UART4. After it seems to switch into the FSBL successfully the programmer can not contact the FSBL. I attached a log file and also my cube configuration.I guess it would be helpfull to be able to debug the U-Boot. I know that the device tree should contain something like: chosen { stdout-path = "serial0:115200n8"; };   aliases { serial0 = &uart7; };But i can not seem to get CubeMX to generate that. Or is this one of the options i have to add manually? Or is there a more detailed guide how to debug the U-Boot?I already read https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/U-Boot_-_How_to_debugThanks in advance

I disable “DMA1 stream0 global interrupt?，and then click Fiel-》save project ，then close STM32CubeMX。But when I open the project next time， “DMA1 stream0 global interrupt? is still enabled。I do not know why？ hwo can help me，think you?

Posted on February 14, 2017 at 14:07Hi, I am working on ST STM32L151VB-A, I burned a loader which already worked for me, and since then I get ''active write protected STM32 device detected'' also on other application that worked fine. when I try to connect via J-Link commander I get ''cannot connect to target''. as I understand from:https://community.st.com/external-link.jspa?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.segger.com%2Findex.php%3Ftitle%3DJ-Link_can%2527t_connect_to_the_CPU%3A ''This can have different reasons as for example the application does disable the debug interface, re-configures the debug pins, enters some kind of low-power-mode or the security of the device is activated. In order to prevent such situations during the development process''is this reversible at all? What can be done?Thank you!

I am currently working on a design based around the STM32MP157C (mounted in the Seeed SoM - STM32MP157C).I am trying to connect to the M4 Core on the target but I cannot halt it. When I attempt to do it, the debugger can halt the A7 CPU0 but fails at stopping the A7 CPU1 (Error: timeout waiting for DSCR bit change). The M4 is completely inaccessible. When I try to access the cores from the OpenOCD telnet interface, I can list the targets and get the following output after issuing a reset halt command.> reset halt stlink_dap_op_connect(connect) SWD DPIDR 0x6ba02477 Deferring arp_examine of STM32MP157CACx.cm4 Use arp_examine command to examine it manually! Target not examined, will not halt after reset! stlink_dap_op_connect(connect) stlink_dap_op_connect(reconnect) SWD DPIDR 0x6ba02477 SWD DPIDR 0x6ba02477 STM32MP157CACx.cpu0: ran after reset and before halt ... Hii everyone,I'm using stm32f4 discovery board and its header board which consist sd card interface in it. I'm using cubeIDE to generate code for 1-bit mode SDIO interfacing using DMA. But the problem is at f_open instruction while debugging step by step its working normally means it return value is zero but if I skip that and If I jump to directly new line it return value is 13. I unable to understand what causing this problem?Below I'm including code snippet of clock configuration RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0};   /** Configure the main internal regulator output voltage */ __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_PWR_VOLTAGESCALING_CONFIG(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE1); /** Initializes the CPU, AHB and APB busses clocks */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI|RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_LSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStr

Hello. I'm using an STM32F3, and am struggling to get the bootloader working on my custom board. It works on the F3 discovery board (If you remove SB19 and wire up a pull-high).Steps: Plug USB port into PC. Boot1 is confirmed to be set high in MCU software. Pull Boot0 to +3V3 using a 10K PU. Cycle power or reset. What should happen: MCU doesn't boot normal program. PC (eg Windows) Device manager should show `STM32Bootloader`, and DFU-util can be used to flash. This is what happens on the discovery. On my board, it boots up as normal, and Windows can't see the bootloader.Additional data: I can confirm there's a working HSE, and the data lines work. And something weird: When I use a scope, Boot0 is reading low with the 10KPU... It only goes high if I wire it directly to a 3V3 line. (This is only on my board; dev board shows normal). This is very odd, and implies the MCU is pulling Boot0 low... which I don't think it should do.Thank you.

Is there a way to get this in STM32CubeIDE , specifically for names of the bits? There is a similar drop-down in CubeIDE but it only shows up when typing the name of a register.

When trying to refresh IWDG when it has not been initialized, causes the FLASH->SR->CFGBSY bit to get stuck on SET. It will not return to zero ever. Also mentioned in this post: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000Bh5LOVSQ2/trouble-programming-flash-with-halflashprogram by JHuan.1I couldn't find anything in the reference manual, nor in the errata sheet of the STM32WB55 cpu. Is there a link between IWDG and FLASH that I'm not aware of? Or how could IWDG have any effect on FLASH?

Hello,I'm trying to connect my MPU6500 to my Nucleo f411re board with the SPI Protocol.The MPU6500 is working correctly because I tested it with an Arduino and it worked as expected.I'm using SPI2 with the Pins PB15, PB14 and PB13.But for some reason I can't get it to work on the STMF411. Infact the clock isn't even working correctly as you can see on the oscilloscope.Yellow is the Clock and Blue is MOSI. (Yellow is scaled to 500mv and Blue to 5v)Maybe my configuration is wrong?I hope someone could help me it and spot the mistake.Thanks in advance!#include "main.h"   #include <string.h> #include <stdio.h>   //ioSpeedConfig #define LOW_SPEED 0x00 #define MEDIUM_SPEED 0x01 #define FAST_SPEED 0x02 #define HIGH_SPEED 0x03 //ioPinConfig #define INPUT_MODE 0x00 #define OUTPUT_MODE 0x01 #define ALTERNATIVE_MODE 0x02 #define ANALOG_MODE 0x03 //ioOtypeConfig #define Push_Pull 0x00 #define Open_Drain 0x01 //ioPushPullConfig #define NO_PULL 0x00 #define PULL_UP 0x01 #define

The external antenna being read is circular (32mm in diameter). During use the external antenna will be within 6in from the reader/writer circuit I am creating.

Hello all,I have an issue with CR95HF chip that it cannot return more than 62 data bytes (after deducting control and CRC bytes ) . The FiFo buffer should contain about 256 bytes.I am using STM8 and i have my own implementation . The issue happens with me while sending Read binary APDU command with 255 bytes lengthwhen i read the received data from chip i found that there is 62 bytes only .Thanks alot in Advance

I have recently purchased a NUCLEO-L031K6 dev board and when connecting it via USB ST-Link won't get recognized. I have 2 other st-link which work like a charm, so drivers are there (STM Discovery F0 and ST-Link V2). Any help? Is there any boot sequence to follow for the ST-Link on the NUCLEO-L031K6 to be recognized ?

I'm looking to use the Arduino header on the STM32H7B3i-DK, however I am finding an inconsistency between what is defined in the Schematic and what is listed in the Users Manual.Example: For header C10 Pins 1 and 2: The schematic shows these mapped to MCU Pin PF10 and PI7 respectfully. The User's Manual shows this mapped to MCU Pin PD1, PI2 respectfully For header C11 Pin 1: The schematic shows this mapped to PH14 The User's Manual shows this mapped to PB11 Header CN20, Pins 1, 3, and 4 do not match between the Schematic and User's Manual.Reference:User Manual: https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00610478-discovery-kit-with-stm32h7b3li-mcu-stmicroelectronics.pdf Schematic:: https://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/mb1332-h7b3i-b02_schematic.pdfIs there a way to verify which is the correct one? Thanks

i'm a linux user, so i use cubeMX gen a code framework with project type: Makefilesnow, i try to use x-mems lib, the makefile is miss a ":" that lead "make" command error.after add the colon, seems goodFYI

But there's an example project behind the scenes showing how to enable MPU (STM32CubeF4\Projects\STM324x9I_EVAL\Applications\FreeRTOS\FreeRTOS_MPU).I would really like to use STM32CubeMx to configure the project - but it looks to me like its not possible if I want to enable MPU.If there's a way to make MPU available, please let me know. This is the STM32CubeMx 6.0.1 options for FreeRTOS (CMSIS_V2 API):(image was attached - however key is ENABLE_MPU is disabled by default and option greyed out).Thank You,Torben
