Hi there,Is there any way to import X-CUBE-NFC6 software expansion into STM32CubeIDE ?I've seen that there is an option to manage package extensions from local / url. The issue here is that on officials X-CUBE-NFC6 official website https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-nfc6.html an example project is provided, but the *.pdsc file to import the expansion into IDE. Thanks for your time.

I built the project using the STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.1.2 example, and I want to use the EEPROM function in LoRa Application.I am trying to declare eeprom related code in a separate file, but the linker cannot import HAL functions..\mlm32l07x01\Lora.axf: Error: L6218E: Undefined symbol HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Erase (referred from eeprom.o)..\mlm32l07x01\Lora.axf: Error: L6218E: Undefined symbol HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Lock (referred from eeprom.o)..\mlm32l07x01\Lora.axf: Error: L6218E: Undefined symbol HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Program (referred from eeprom.o)..\mlm32l07x01\Lora.axf: Error: L6218E: Undefined symbol HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Unlock (referred from eeprom.o).// eeprom.h   #ifndef __USER_EEPROM_H__ #define __USER_EEPROM_H__   #include <stdbool.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <string.h>   // #include "stm32l0xx_hal.h" // #include "stm32l0xx_hal_def.h" // #include "stm32l0xx_hal_conf.h" // #include "stm32l0xx_hal_flash.h" #include "stm32l0xx_

Hello, quite new to STM32 platform (used during the university time, then moved to a competitor for work). I am now trying to come back. In particular I want to set up a small IoT project.I bought a 32F413HDISCOVERY board and I am using STM32CubeIDE. I would like to use AWS IoT so I have downloaded X-CUBE-AWS 1.4.1 and I went through the documentation UM2178 rev 1 (the latest rev 4 is only for X-CUBE-AWS 2.0 and I cannot find the other revisions).I have all set up from AWS point of view. And now I am stuck.I have tried importing the project contained in the zip file for my board and compile, but I get errors. In the manual is written that something show be flashed, but it is unclear which file. Can I get some indications on how to go on? Is it a problem of the IDE (that did not exist when the manual was written)? Thanks in advanceDavide

I have been using an STLINK-V3SET probe for many projects with free software such as OpenOCD, pyOCD, etc. These projects have all targeted STM32 MCUs. I wanted to also use the probe for a project that includes a TI MSP432 MCU, but the probe seems completely unable to connect to it. Obviously, I wouldn't expect ST tools to support this, but there are many non-ST tools that should be able to drive the probe and talk to the TI chip. Digging through the STLINK protocol and what the software is doing, it appears that the STLINK-V3SET is actually locked down to only be talk to ST MCUs.Is this a known limitation/restriction of the STLINK-V3SET? I have not been able to find many examples in Google of people even trying to use a V3/V3SET to talk to a non-ST MCU, although I have found one example of someone that says V2.1 works with non-ST MCUs while V3 doesn't.Any clarification on this would be much appreciated.

HiI'm trying out stm32h743 now, and try to make output signal from GPIO.I've set same frequency on F429 & H743 with same code. However, The the signal much slower(longer) in H743.F429 400nsH743 4000ns (well... my purpose is to shorten the length of the signal as much as possible)Even if I maximized frequency of H743, the signal of H743 is still much slower(3200ns) than F429. Could anybody help me to figure out the reason? Thanks in advance.

HiI'm tying for ping test on Nucleo H743ZI2 with ETH(RMII) and LwIP.(I'm not using other Middlewares such as FATFS/FREERTOS/LIBJPEG)When I try ping test on cmd : ping 192.168.***.***, it work perfectly fine with STM32F4 series. However, it doesn't work on STM32H743. It seems like something is wrong with STM32H7 series on ETH or LwIP.Could anybody help me out with this?Thank you in advance.

Hi I was using Keil 5 to debug my code on #1 board, somehow the code was kind of stuck, it has no response to reset, and cannot run anywhere, the same code works with no issue on the other self-build board(these two are basically the same), this #1 board works also with no issue earlier today, this situation just suddenly happened. It has no problem with compile, download, enter debug mode.... I`ve drained my brain and cannot figure out what is wrong,,, any suggestions??Thanks in advance.

Hi,I'd like to run synchronous PWMs on TIM1 and TIM8 of an STM32F446RE. I use TIM2 to trigger both timers. My setup:Master: TIM2MSM bit is setTRGO = Enable bit (CNT_EN)Slaves: TIM1 and TIM8Slave mode = Reset modeTrigger source = ITR1I appended my CubeMX configuration and the according excerpts of the documantation I read (AN4013 & F466 reference manual) as screenshots to this post.To start the timers I use the following code:HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim2); HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim8, CH_LVL_1); HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim1, CH_LVL_2);I want to set the enable bits on TIM1 and TIM8 simultaneaously by the TRGO event of TIM2. The call of HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(...) should only enable the PWM output on the MCUs pins.If I use the formerly shown procedure, unfortunatly both PWMs (on TIM1 and TIM8) are phase shiftet by 900 ns, so I assume the enable bits on TIM1 and TIM8 are set by software by the function HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(...).Can you tell me what I am missing?Thank you in advance.

I would like to share my project on github and used the STM32CubeIDE to configure the periphals and generate some code in addition to my own code. I don't know much about licensing, i just want to share my work so that someone else could benefit from it. Is there any legal problem by publishing my code together with the generated code? Do i have to mention any license on github? My goal is, that somebody could just download the code, import it into STM32CubeIDE and compile and flash it.

Hello, this message is addressed to ST employees, if you could please send me additional information not present in the datasheet.I'm using the EFL700A39 rechargeable solid state lithium thin film battery. I'm trying to figure out the state-of-charge (SoC) referring to the voltage. However, in the datasheet there is no discharge curve - voltage vs. SoC. Would you please send me this information.Thank you for your help.Georgina

The reference manual (link below) gives some details regarding setting the high and low voltage thresholds for the ADC's analog watchdog in the ADC_HTR and ADC_LTR registers. However, I can't find any details explaining how the values put into bits [11:0] in each register map to a voltage. I assume that setting all 12 bits in ADC_HTR would equate to the highest possible threshold voltage, but how do we know what that voltage is? And does setting all bits in ADC_LTR mean that the low threshold is as low as it can go? Or does clearing all 12 bits set it to the minimum?Happy Thanksgiving! Here's a link to the reference manual:https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/reference_manual/c5/cf/ef/52/c0/f1/4b/fa/DM00124865.pdf/files/DM00124865.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00124865.pdf

Short story: the board was working fine, but now I cannot communicate with it from the IAR IDE (cannot debug/download)Long story:I am using the IAR Embedded Workbench IDE - ARM 8.50.6 to program/debug my NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q board. I had successfully uploaded an example project ("ADC_AnalogWatchdog - STMH743ZI-Nucleo" - I know that the name indicates it is for a different board, but the project description says that it should still work for the STMH745ZI). I was able to interact with the user button on the board and the GPIO and user LEDs behaved as expected - indicating that the upload was successful. However, after I picked up the board to inspect it, the user button no longer triggered the expected behaviour and the COM LED turned solid red. I uploaded the example project again, and received this error: I assumed it was a poor connection, so I unplugged/replugged the Microusb cable, tried other cables. - same error. I played around with the STLINK drivers by uninstalling and reinstal

I am trying to configure STM32CubeIDE to use J-link in tunnel mode. I know how to do it outside the CubeIDE. It requires the invocation of J-link GDB server with the additional -select command line parameter. And I don't know how to add this parameter in CubeIDE. Is there anyone there to help me with this problem?

Steps to reproduce:Open STM32CubeMXOpen the MCU Selector to create a new ProjectEnter "STM32L151C8" in the part number searchYou should have something like in the screenshotSee that STM32L151C8Tx has 10 KB of RAMSee that STM32L151C8TxA has 32 KB of RAMCreate project using STM32L151C8TxGo to Help -> Docs and Resources -> DatasheetThe datasheet (DS6876) shows 16 KB of RAM (not 10 KB, not 32 KB, but 16 KB!) Go back, create a project using STM32L151C8TxA Go to Help -> Docs and Resources -> Datasheet That will open the same datasheet (DS6876) which shows 16 KB of RAM (we were expecting 32 KB here)So confusing.I think there are two bugs here.MCU selector should show 16 KB of SRAM for STM32L151C8Tx (instead of 10 KB)STM32L151C8TxA -based project should open the DS9515 datasheet instead of DS6876 from the "Docs and Resources" windowThank you.

Code generation is failing when using STM32CubeMX 6.1.0 with a Keil uVision project.  Code generation for a uVision project is working for STM32CubeMX Version 5.3.0, with any uVision version. After STM32CubeMX Version 5.3.0 code generation fails. The log file looks like it can't find the generator: My sytem:Windows 10 Pro (Ver. 20H2, Build 19042.572)Keil uVision V5.29.0.0STM32CubeMX Version 6.1.0I have tried reinstalling different versions of uVision and STM32CubeMX. I have tried changing Java versions.Any ideas? I would really like to use some of the features in the newer version.

i am not able to flash the image in stm32mp157c-dk2

Hi, I don't know if other people have had this problem.Actually, in the datasheet of the STEVAL-ISV020V1 is mentionned that:R1 = 10 MohmR2= 1 MohmR3 = 5.6 MohmR4 = 6.2 MohmR5 = 500 KohmR6 = 2.7 MohmHowever, when I received my evaluation board, I measured the resistors and got as follow: R1 = 2 MohmR2 = 0.8 Mohm = 1R3 = 0.9 MohmR4 = 0.62 MohmR5 = 480 KohmR6 = 0.6 MohmTh point is, since I am going to change the resistors in order to get Vuvp = 2.2V and Veoc = 4.2V, I should replace the them by values of resistors calculated referring to the equations in the datasheet. But when changing the resistor, should I unsolder the existing ones and place new ones or I can solder new resistors in parallel with the existing ones ? I'm kinda struggling using this device, so I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you !Georgina

I am using v 1.5 of STM32CubeIDE, and an ST link v2 running firmware V2J37S7. I have chosen the CPU that I have on my custom board (STM32F410R8T6), configured my periphials and written some code. However, I face an issue when trying to debug the program, or run it on the hardware. When I click the debug button, the debug viewer appears shortly, where i can press run and terminate, before it snaps out of it, and shows this error: The console outputs the following:  I have messed around with my debug configuration settings. They can be seen here:  My connections from ST link to MCU are: St link -> Stm32Pin 1 (MCU VDD) -> VCC (3.3 V)Pin 7(SWDIO) -> PA13 Pin 9 (SWCLK) ->PA14Pin 10 (GND) -> (Common GND)Pin 15(NRST) -> NRSTListening on onboard testpoints with oscilloscope shows 3.3 V on pin 1 and 7, and 0 V on Pins 9, 10 and 15. When i press debug i can see the datastream on SWDIO and SWCLK. Nothing appears on NRST. The LED on the ST link shines red when connected

STM32MP157-DK2 with Buildroot image.I'm running a Qt app on the A7 core and using QSerial to talk to the M4 core using OpenAMP to talk through ttyRPMSG0. Right now it takes ~10ms to send/receive from Qt to M4. Is there anything I can do to decrease this time to say 1ms?The ttyRPMSG0 port has a baud rate of 38400, but I don't see a way to increase that. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello,In my test board, data from accelerometer and magnetometer are stable. But gyro data has many spikes even though it is put in desk and not moving.Do you have any idea for what cause this and how to fix it?lsm6dsox and lis3mdl are used for test.

When we use UART as DATA 8bits with parity, STM32F4xx_HAL_driver for UART accesses one byte beyond the specified buffer. Could you please confirm attached patch? In stm32f4xx_hal_uart.c , there are other similar problems.

Hi ST support team, We use ST25R3912 with solution for design phone (use chip microcontrller SM6150(Qualcomm)),We have problem need you support list in below:1:  If we design without MCU_CLK signal, do we can use Transparent mode for AFE and framing implemented in the external microcontroller?2: Can you support about the driver can implement all your NFC requirements (NFC card emulation, NFC reader/writer, NFC peer-to-peer) if you use SPI bus only (internal framing in NFC chip). Thanks,AnhDN
