I'm trying out simple SPI comms between two STM32s. The TX is STM32F407 and the RX is STM32G070. The data that I seem to be receiving is different from what I'm sending. What am I missing here?For the RX, I've set the NSS to software. I've configured the 'chip select' to be an external interrupt on the falling edge. In the ISR I receive the bytes from the TX. This is what the code for the RX looks like. SPI1 is configured as full duplex slave./* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ uint8_t spi_rx_buffer[8] = {0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0}; /* USER CODE END PV */ . . . . /* USER CODE BEGIN 4 */ void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Falling_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { if (GPIO_Pin == SPI1_CSN_Pin) { if (HAL_SPI_Receive(&hspi1, spi_rx_buffer, 8, HAL_MAX_DELAY) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } } } /* USER CODE END 4 */For the TX, SPI is configured to be a full duplex master with software chip select. With the 64 divider, the data rate configured as 1.3125 Mbit/s. In the TX, I'm simply sending two buffers each of

Hello,I want to receive messages from CAN bus using STM32F042, but I have a problem with it because the interrupt is not working.I can send messages without any kind of problem, the problem is only with the receiving.I have set up the filter as it can be seen here (at the moment I want to receive all of the messages from the CAN bus without filtering):HAL_CAN_ConfigFilter(&hcan,&canfil); //Initialize CAN Filter   HAL_CAN_Start(&hcan); //Initialize CAN Bus   HAL_CAN_ActivateNotification(&hcan,CAN_IT_RX_FIFO0_MSG_PENDING);// Initialize   canfil.FilterBank = 0;   canfil.FilterMode = CAN_FILTERMODE_IDMASK;   canfil.FilterFIFOAssignment = CAN_RX_FIFO0;   canfil.FilterIdHigh = 0;   canfil.FilterIdLow = 0;   canfil.FilterMaskIdHigh = 0;   canfil.FilterMaskIdLow = 0;   canfil.FilterScale = CAN_FILTERSCALE_32BIT;   canfil.FilterActivation = ENABLE;   canfil.SlaveStartFilterBank = 14;When the interrupt is triggered, I wa

Well I tried to read the documentation, but found only HW requirements to use SMPS. So is the SMPS required?Or can the SMPS just tie VDDSMPS, VLXSMPS, VFBSMPS and VSSSMPS to ground directly on PCB when no needs for that?

Hi community ,I want an automotive controller development board with Atleast 2 CAN bus and an ethernet port , please suggest me some dev boards for the same!

Unfortunately there isn't an example provided for SPI on the STM32L4R9 Disco board. I can tell from the User Manual that I need to set the quad SPDT switch on the board to the SPI configuration. If I understand table 20 in the User Manual, I need to set GPIO6 and GPIO7 of the MFX to 0. There are dozens of functions in the STM32l4R9i-discoveryxx.c and mfxstm32l152.c files so I'm confused about how to initialize and use the MFX. Can someone point me at some example code that explains how to set up and use the MFX on the STM32L4R9 discovery board to set some GPIO lines?Thanks

I have a problem that I cannot include C code in C++ and the opposite. Different sites suggest to solve this problem by including the header file of C in the header file of C++ (Model.hpp) like:#ifdef __cplusplusextern "C"{#endif#include "coreTransferBufferAPI.h"#ifdef __cplusplus      }#endifIn the code file Model.cpp, I try to use a function called (CB_Display_GetValues(&values) from this header.CB_DisplayValues_t is also defined in this header, but doesn't show any errors.float Model::getTempValue(){      CB_DisplayValues_t values;      if(CB_Display_GetValues(&values)==REPORT_OK)      {            return values.cellTemperature;      }      return NULL;}The call of the function (CB_Display_GetValues(&values)) gives an undefined referen

I created a program on STM8S103F3 to generate a delay in rage of micro seconds using TIM2 module, but the timer is not ticking as expected and when I tried to call 1 sec delay using it, it is giving around 10 sec delay. I'm using 16MHz HSI oscillator and timer pre-scalar is set to 16. please see my code below. Please help me to figure out what is wrong with my code.main(){     GPIO_Init(FAN_PORT , FAN_PIN, GPIO_MODE_OUT_OD_LOW_SLOW ); // Need to change mode to push pull GPIO_WriteLow(FAN_PORT , FAN_PIN); Serial_begin(9600); //Initialize Serial communication at 9600 baud rate Serial_print_string("\r\n>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Board Up and Ready<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<\r\n"); //print a string while (1){    GPIO_WriteHigh(FAN_PORT , FAN_PIN);    delay_ms(1000);    GPIO_WriteLow(FAN_PORT , FAN_PIN);   &nbs

Hi, Can anybody help to point out why the pin voltage on adc input goes high as soon as i start the adc. When I connected a 10K resistor between AIN1 and GND (VDDA=VDD=3.3V), the voltage dropped to 1.6V. I tried HAL_ADC_START , Start with IT , DMA and calibration, but the voltage returns. I added 2 Sec delay for debug and verified the thing occurs when start command is given..

Hello all,I'm new to ST. I'm looking for ARM Cortex-M4(F) MPUs that have Ethernet port. These chips would also need FreeRTOS support and a quick and easy way to build a server for IoT. I've looked at the G4 family, but can't find anything about Ethernet support. thanks George

I used some SDRAM with the FMC, and I do have the datasheet of the SDRAM, which lists lots of timing information. But the datasheet uses different terms than CubeMX, so how can I find out which CubeMX parameter corresponds to which datasheet value? it would really, really help if ST included the symbol for each parameter.Some years ago, I found an (old) forum post explaining everything, but I could not find it again (or anything else).So, how do I know what Load mode register to active delay, Exit self-refresh delay, Self-refresh time, SDRAM common row cycling delay, Write recovery time, SDRAM common row precharge delay, Row to column delay is called in the datasheet?Also, my datasheet is for 200 MHz and 166 MHz, but my FMC runs at 100 MHz. How do I recalculate the values in the datasheet for my slower running FMC?

Hi,I just bought the STM32MP157F-EV1 and was trying to get it started.I tried to followed the manual written in the website and I thought I have completed step 4 and step 5 in the manual.However, when I tried to populate the SDCard, I realize that I forgot to install Java before installing the STM32CubeProgrammer.So, I tried executing the commands in the manual.However, the result is as follows:I am using Ubuntu 20.04 and I have read that a lot of people are having the same problem as I am.I tried these steps that I found on stackoverflowHowever when I try to reinstall the program and run it, it still shows the same message.Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I'm using LSM9DS1 and MotionFX to get the heading of my device,(also I am using MotionAC, MotionGC, MotionMC to perfome a calibration ), I can get a good result sometimes (usually after a QUICK movement or rotation). But, when it is static or moving slowly , the value of heading_9X hardly changes. What the problem is? How to fix it?

Hi,it is possible to change the name of the project in STM32CUBEIDE?The name is set by TouchGFX designer software by default.When i tried to rename in STM32CUBEIDE i got an error.

Hello,I run with eval board RTC_timestamp example:en.stm32cubeh7\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.3.0\Projects\STM32H743I_EVAL\Examples\RTC\RTC_TimeStamp\EWARMSurprisingly, there is a shift delay of ~9 to 10 seconds (!) every 60 seconds.I tested it as following:use stop watcher clock reference for measurement started the example and put a breakpoints just after HAL_RTC_GetDate static void RTC_CalendarShow(void) { RTC_DateTypeDef sdatestructureget; RTC_TimeTypeDef stimestructureget; /* Get the RTC current Time */ HAL_RTC_GetTime(&RtcHandle, &stimestructureget, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); /* Get the RTC current Date */ HAL_RTC_GetDate(&RtcHandle, &sdatestructureget, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); /* Display time Format : hh:mm:ss */ --> nreakpoimt here !!! sprintf((char*)aShowTime,"%.2d:%.2d:%.2d", stimestructureget.Hours, stimestructureget.Minutes, stimestructureget.Seconds);I see that diff time between real time and the time from stm32 RTC is 10 seconds .STM32 RTC time is slower by 10 seconds

I migrated to a new self-created PCB with a STM32F746IE. I noticed that if I flash anything, the program works immediately after flashing, but not after power off/on. As a simple example, I created a program with two blinking LEDs. They blink after flashing, but remain dark after power cycling.In both CubeMX and TrueSTUDIO, I selected STM32F746IE as device. I configured to use the TCM interface with ART controller and command prefetch. The flash for TCM interface is located at 0x0020 0000. Looking at the HEX file, I see that the target address is indeed 0x0020 0000.For reference, here is my linker file: [removed]I also cannot debug. Flashing works, the breakpoint at main() is created, but never reached. This is my debug script: [removed]The power supply provides stable 3.3V and 1.2A. I disabled HSE and LSE and enabled HSI/LSI to rule out clock problems.So what could cause the flash (and the debug) problems? Obviously, the layout or the soldering could be bad. But I solder SMD regularly

When I2C "Speed mode" changes in CubeMX/IDE from Standard to Fast, it seems that only the Init.Timing value changes in generated code.This value goes into TIMINGR register of the I2C .Am I missing anything or this value defines the "speed mode" entirely? That's, the "speed mode" exists only in the Cube's GUI?The chip is STM32H743/753Thanks,Pavel A

The LPTIM erratum "MCU may remain stuck in LPTIM interrupt when clearing event flag" (to be found in errata of STM32 having LPTIM, which got updated since cca the end of 2018 -- ST please update *all* errata timely!) contains this description:This limitation occurs when the LPTIM is configured in interrupt mode (at least one interrupt is enabled) and the software clears any flag by writing the LPTIM_ICR bit in the LPTIM_ISR register.There is no LPTIM_ICR bit. LPTIM_ICR is the register in by writing individual bits, interrupts flags in the LPTIM_ISR register can be cleared.ST, please correct this. Please provide a complete description, upon which the user can decide how exactly to implement the workaround, not relying on any "library" implementation. This is not the only case of messy description in errata. Errata are an important part of the documentation. ST, please review all errata for comprehensibility of the description.JW

Hello guys,I am trying to implement a custom bootloader based on stm32f103rb.I would like to jump in a flash address page e.g 0x8004000When i am calling the app_reset_handler(), debugger break at address 0xfffffffe with no debug information.I appreciate if someone could guide me to resolve this issue.Let me attach the code:void jump_application(void){ void (*app_reset_handler)(void); volatile uint32_t addr = 0x8004000; HAL_RCC_DeInit(); SysTick->CTRL = 0; SysTick->LOAD = 0; SysTick->VAL = 0; __disable_irq(); SCB->VTOR = (FLASH_BASE | 0x4000); app_reset_handler = (void*)(*(__IO uint32_t *)(addr + 4)); __set_MSP(*(uint32_t *)addr); app_reset_handler();}
