Hello,I've got problems to connect with the STEVAL-SPIN3204 Eval board.I tried all the Baudrates which are available.the Stlink shows up normally in the device manager.Or does the STEVAL-SPIN3204 does not work with the Motor control workbench?Are there some way to test the hardware or did i Forgot something?

I've taken a look at some datasheets, and I couldn't really find confrmation of this -- but just in case I missed the right terminology: is it possible to set up an STM32 MCU (I guess, via option bytes), so that an output pin might indicate whether the MCU runs system bootloader code (for instance, outputting HIGH level if the MCU runs system bootloader code, and LOW if it doesn't)?

Dear ST,I am currently analysing a project that uses a ST L9170 voltage regulator.I have 3 units and I wanted to test them in order to make sure they are working properly but it seems that there is no datasheet or any info available regarding this component.I know for a fact that this is a voltage regulator and that it is used in several vehicle ECUs.I have also found a document that shows reference voltages at the Pins of the L9170 of an ECU. But I don't know if this information is correct.Pin 1 - +5VPin 2 - +12VPin 3 - +5VPin 4 - +5VPin 5 - +5VPin 6 - GNDPin 7 - No informationPin 8 - +5VPin 9 - No informationPin 10 - No informationPin 11 - + 12VCan you please let me know if you have any clue on how to diagnose this components? Anything will be helpful and I really need to sort this out.Best regards,

Hello, I have a product that connects to a computer via USB. I also have a test application that can be run on the computer as well. The test application on the PC can look for a default PID or one can type in a different PID and the application will connect to that device with the inserted PID if one is connected. I know that I can modify the PID at compile time but I would like to just have a default PID, and then through either a USB or UART command, tell the device to change its PID to a different value, for example from 0x5751 to 0x5800. I am ok with the device having to be power cycled to switch to the new "stored" PID. There was another post by someone that looked like someone was trying to do something similar but they didn't want to power cycle the device for the new PID to take effect. https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkiBt/stm32f4-usb-hid-change-pid-product-id-during-runtime?t=1621012365077The code for setting the PID is contained in usb_desc.c and inside the fo

How I can use STEVAL-SPIN3201 for BLDC with MotorControl Workbench (SM PMSM, IPMSM)? In MotorControl Workbench only two types motors? To choose SM PMSM?

Hi ST CommunityI am working on a project where I want to use a BLDC motor for a screwdriving process. The setup is based on the B-G431B-ESC1 and a Maxon motor https://www.maxongroup.com/maxon/view/product/651618 (with a 6:1 gear added). The motor control is based on FOC generated from using STM32 MC Workbench. Power supply is 24V 10A. A hall sensor is used as a speed sensor.I am experiencing two issues here, comparing to what I expect, and to what I experience when I connect the motor to an off-the-shelf ESC. Low startup torqueFor a screwdriving process it is important that the motor can deliver a high torque already from zero speed. I am having a hard time archiving this with my setup. I can only archive something like 0.5Nm, but the current applied is low. Is it possible to setup the motor controller to provide more current in a startup phase?Current supply is lowI discovered that the torque performance is bad (archived only 1.9Nm), but in the same time the current applied to the mot

Hi !Is there a way to fine-tune motor parameters (final ramp value, speed ramp up...) in the motor workbench without systematically re-generting code from Motor Control Workbench and then Cube-MX everytime every time I'd like to adjust a parameter ?It could take more than 3 minutes to change each parameter which makes the fine-tuning a hurdle.

Super weird thing happening:After my latest build I would receive one interrupt from I2C and that's all.After a bit of snooping around I found that the I2C interrupt was being disabled in the NVIC.So I installed some code that would detect when this happened and break.I have to figure out who's disabling the interrupt, so I thought I'd put some countersin the I2C interrupt routine, just a simple in and out count. Both uint8's.Now, it won't do it. No matter what I try I2C interrupts now work fine.Is there something with the interrupt alignment? Any ideas?No, that don't make sense either. The interrupt is vectored to the stm32l0xx_it.c moduleand that didn't change. My guess is I have a rogue pointer writing to the NVIC.Anybody have a suggestion on how to find it?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to control a brushless motor with a NUCLEO-F302R8 + X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1. I've follow the video given by STM on youtube "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3ZuM2Z0UGs". I've follow each steps and my motor won't start with my program. But the motor is starting with the motor profiler. I think the problem is not in the code but in the ST Motor Control Workbench. I didn't change this settings but the problem is maybe here.Does anyone have the same problem and can help me ?

Hi everyone,I tried to use the eval board nucleo 53L1A1 with nucleo F767ZI with the API STSW-IMG005.I adapted the API without the serial line, i used the HAL_I2C lib etc .I used the example single ranging in the example folder in API.the first part work fine i get the info of the device juste device ID wich not display anything.After that the function perform calibration and spad management, the sub function measurment poll for completion does not work, the get measurment data ready function does not get the information about new data ready.And i don't get ranging mesurement data.But the rest is ok as staticinit return ok.I attached some pictures for display some parts of my explaination. i can share the code if necessary, I don't know what is the problem....

Hello, I just wanted to ask if I bought the  NUCLEO-L4R5ZI-P devlopment kit before implementing the STM32L4S5ZI into my PCB. Will it still work with the same code?Thank you Hanya

Hello everyone,I am looking for the best IMU to use for a robotics project and I cannot decide which iNEMO is better.If I compare ASM330LHH, ISM330DHCX, ISM330DLC, LSM6DSRX it's hard to tell which one will perform better.I am looking for the one that have the best performance (gyro+accel )in term of stabilisation and thermal drift and does not need to be recalibrated often. Power consumption, price, package, industrial/automotive rating and feature such as NN/Machine learning does not matter, I will mainly use the raw data and do the filtering on an external processing unit.I did not find any comparaison between all of them, let me know if you any info that could help.Thank you

Hi,We are in the process of switching an existing product from using a STM32F413 to a STM32F405 processor, due to part availability. There are only a few pin changes that I can see. We have modified a board with the STM32F405 processor and changes for VCAP_1 and VCAP_2, recompiled the firmware for the STM32F405 and are able to download to the processor. Looking good so far.When we try to debug the software through IAR (JLink or STLink) it fails to connect (this process worked successfully on boards with the STM32F413).Using Segger Ozone, I am able to debug our bootloader, but it is hard faulting after the first call to a peripheral (RCC).I am hoping I am overlooking an expected change needed to switch between micro-controllers (and not a counterfeit part). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm hoping to build a project with a BLUENRG2 using a BLUENRG-M2 module. I purchased an X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 board to get started and jumped the SWDIO, SWDCLK, NRESET, VDD and GROUND pins on this board to my STLINK-V2. Initially I could connect to the module, I ran the GPIO Toggle example from the SDK modified to run the LED on the board and validated everything was happy. After that, I erased the board and reprogrammed it with the Beacon example from the SDK and now I can no longer connect to the chip via SWD, using Keil or with the BLUENRG Flasher utility. In either case, I can see the STLINK but it will not detect the chip. I can see activity on the SWD CLK/IO lines with a scope, but it only lasts for a short period and then I get the can't-connect message.I've validated that my STLINK still works to program an STM32 chip. The BLUENRG is still plugging along sending beacon packets every 100mS, but I can't connect to it to erase/reprogram the FLASH. The BOOT pin is pulled down to ground

I can able to do "Loopback Mode" and I'm getting the desired output signal(CAN_TX). When I opted "Normal Mode" I can not see any output signal at TX pin.Here I have selected polling method only and not used any of the interrupt(eg:CAN1_RX0,TX Interrupt). My "BIT Timing Parameters" and LoopBack Output are as shown in the image.For the better understanding I am adding my code along with this post. What may be reason? Can anyone please help me?int main(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_CAN1_Init(); /* US

Good afternoon, In I have two projects Your JPEG_DecodingFs_DMA and mine. In your project, after executing the HAL_JPEG_Decode_DMA function in normal mode, the function returns 4110 bytes of Context in a stepwise 14 bytes. In my program, the HAL_JPEG_Decode_DMA function always returns 14 bytes. What settings are responsible for setting HAL_JPEG_Decode_DMA()? Sincerely, Alexander.

Hi!This might be a simple question, but I still haven't solved it. I want to create an external trigger source for SDADC 16-bit and I have selected TIM12 Capture Compare 1 as external trigger source. Then I have enable the Output Compare, because I did not find Capture Compare. Then I enable the NVIC for the SDADC. HAL_TIM_Base_Start(htim13); /* TIM13 is trigger source for SDADC1 */ HAL_TIM_Base_Start(htim12); /* TIM12 is trigger source for SDADC2 */ HAL_TIM_Base_Start(htim16); /* TIM16 is trigger source for SDADC3 */ if (HAL_SDADC_InjectedStart_IT(hsdadc1) != HAL_OK) Error_Handler(); if (HAL_SDADC_InjectedStart_IT(hsdadc2) != HAL_OK) Error_Handler(); if (HAL_SDADC_InjectedStart_IT(hsdadc3) != HAL_OK) /* Differential only */ Error_Handler();But still. Nothing happens when I have this function avaiable.This never calls. Why?/* Callbacks for SDADC */ void HAL_SDADC_InjectedConvCpltCallback(SDADC_HandleTypeDef *hsdadc){ if(hsdadc->Instance == SDADC1) { STM32_PLC

Hi,i'm trying to send data from an stm32f446-nucleo board ( as a master ) to an stm32f469-disco board ( as a slave ) but it is not working correctly,PS: Each board is connected separately to a USB Port from PC.MASTER Code :int main(void){ SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ do {  for(i=0; i <255; i++)  {   ret = HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1, i, data, 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY);  } }while(ret!=HAL_OK); while (1) { }}static void MX_I2C1_Init(void){ hi2c1.Instance = I2C1; hi2c1.Init.ClockSpeed = 100000; hi2c1.Init.DutyCycle = I2C_DUTYCYCLE_2; hi2c1.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0; hi2c1.Init.AddressingMode = I2C_ADDRESSINGMODE_7BIT; hi2c1.Init.DualAddressMode = I2C_DUALADDRESS_DISABLE; hi2c1.Init.OwnAddress2 = 0; hi2c1.Init.GeneralCallMode = I2C_GENERALCALL_DISABLE; hi2c1.Init.NoStretchMode = I2C_NOSTRETCH_DISABLE;

I didn't see PA11 and PA12 in this kit

After reading the section about Flash in RM0433 I am till a bit in doubt of the sequence of events during flash programming.This is important because I need to know that certain write operations are complete (such that the update is reflected even if the device is reset or power is lost at that point) before starting other write operations.According to my understanding, I start by setting the PG flag in the FLASH_CR of the bank that is to be programmed, then I write 32 bytes starting at a 32-byte-aligned address.After this, the QW flag should go high and when it goes low, I can start another write operation (Question 1: does this mean the physical write has begun or that it is complete?). Question 2: What role does the BSY flag have (is it obsolete or does it mean that physical write is ongoing or ...)?Question 3: If I enabled interrupts, "End of programming" will be invoked at some time, but when (when QW goes low or when the physical operation is complete or ...)?
