Hi,May I know the "STM32CubeExpansion_Crypto_V4.0.1" has implemented hardware accelerator via stm32l5xx?Please advise,Rgds,QiZhang

In dual ADC mode, the bit DMAEN is invalid as the doc said but in the below screenshot it is describing that the DMACFG bit in ADCx_CCR is effective only when DMAEN = 1.Please see the below snippets from the document.  Need help from you whether I am right or not? And I just want to know proper procedure to do.

Hi everyone.I have a NFC tag reader based on ST25R3911B and I'm currently using it to read "real" NFC-V 15693 tags. I would like to make "virtual" tags, possibly through smartphone, and make them readable from the NFC ST25R3911B reader. Basically, I would like to build a cross-platform (Android/iOS) app to emulate the tags and read them through the same device used for the real tags. The other point is that I have to create the virtual tags as the derived version of the real tags, that is having data fields writable as the real tags (NDEF messages???).My problem is not only how to write the "pairing and exchange" data protocol on smartphone side, but also how to read the smartphone/tag on the reader side...Thank you,Stefano

Help on customizing the device treeI installed my starter package according to instructions at https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_Discovery_kits_-_Starter_PackageAnd the developer package following instructions at  https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Developer_PackageThen on developing my projects, I realized that I need a different device tree than what was provided in those two packages, because the CAN bus is not  defined in those installations, and that is the core of my project. Then I read this bloghttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_cross-compile_with_the_Developer_PackageSomewhere, it requires to navigate to "Device Drivers - Generic Driver Options"select "Size in Megabytes"modify its value to 256exit and save the new configurationThe problem is: if you follow those instructions, there is no option to select “Size in Megabytes,? which left in darkness!!Somewhere in the next page it advises to change directory to the <Linux kernel build director

i want to measure the time an interrupt handler costs.1. set a specified pin low at the beginning of the interrupt handler and high at the end of the interrupt handler like this:void EXTI4_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI4_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET);   /* USER CODE END EXTI4_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(GPIO_PIN_4); /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI4_IRQn 1 */   // ... // codes omitted // ...   HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); }2. measure the signal at the pin by an oscilloscope.then the duration the signal keeps low is the time an interrupt costs.is it possible to measure the duration in units of us?

Hello everyone!I am a person who is learning about GUI programming, my project requires interface design on touchgfx software and using STM32F429ZI kit.I am doing reading a signal from a kit's button, the purpose is to use this signal to trigger another action.I referenced a sample project from the developer following the link below (From GUI Task -> A working example for STM32F429):https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/touchgfx-engine-features/backend-communicationHere I see a sample project that uses the STM32F429I-Discovery library (added in the BSP driver) to use a function that reads data from the kit's button.I have created a new project that also uses the STM32F429I-Discovery library to read data from the kit's button using the STM32CubeIDE software. I followed the instructions in the link below to add the STM32F429I-Discovery library:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gCNhFbwrLU&t=214sBut then I got the error "undefined reference to `BSP_PB_GetState'

Hi, regarding the STEVAL-MKI208V1K, what is the purpose of the pins CSX, SDX, OSDO and OCS?In the diagrams of the Data brief available from the web page, it can be seen that those pins actually are not coming from the IIS3DWB pins.I want to connect the STEVAL-MKI208V1K to a breadboard (not using STEVAL-MKI109V3) and I'm not sure what to do with those pins. Also, what is the idea or theory behind giving separate supply to VDD and VDD_IO?Thanks in advance!

Hello there,I am trying to develop an STM32L4 proof of concept bootloader application. I am basing on this source: https://github.com/akospasztor/stm32-bootloader and Atollic's "Working with bootloaders on Cortex-M devices".I am trying to do a simple thing: My bootloader should start and jump to a fixed address in flash, under which the regular application lies. The procedure I have done is as follows:I have programmed the bootloader app to the flash memory (using ST-LINK), ld file contains following flash description:FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 220KThe total flash memory is 512K.Then I flashed the application code to the memory (with ST-LINK). Its ld file flash parameter looks as follows:FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8037000, LENGTH = 292K220 * 1024 = 0x37000, so my starting address for the app is 0x08037000.220K + 292K = 512K, so the memory sizes look fine.My jump function looks as follows:typedef void (*pFunction)(void);   /** * @brief Jumps the program counter to the

Hello,I'm using a IIS3DWB in my design. As indicated in datasheet, RES pins (10 and 11) should be connected to VDD_IO or leave unconnected (Table 1: Pin Description). However, the STEVAL-MKI208V1 have RES pins tied to GND (Figure 1 STEVAL-MKI208V1 board schematic)Could you please tell me how I should connect these pins? Thanks,Pablo

Hello, I am fairly new to the field of RF communication. I am working on a project wherein I have to communicate with RF tags using RF readers. The RF tag IC I am planning to use belongs to the ST25TV series. Since I'm planning to use multiple RF tags in my project which will be moving, I wanted to know how could I measure the RSSI value for each tag? Would that value be measured by STmicroelectronic's reader ICs and any particular software offered by you for the same? Please suggest if there are any specific ST25 RFID readers which might measure RSSI or any third-party products/software which might be capable of that. Thank you very much!

Hi can i, if i change the lay-out of my board, replace the original stm32f427VIT6 with a ZIT6 without changing the code?Could get my hands on some ZIT6 instead of the almost unobtainable vit6 for free, but want to know if its possible without changing the software

Currently I am working on a project that uses the UHF RFID evaluation board ST25RU3993-HPEV, which is controlled by STM32L476RG.For my project, I want to use Raspberry Pi to communicate with the evaluation board, so the use of Python is required. However, the Python code, according to ST, is still under development. So I am wondering how I can approach this or if anyone has worked on this before? Appreciate all your kind support.

I am using an STM32F407 controller and have configured I2C1 as SMBus.However after configuration in the IDE, the initialization code generated for I2C1 is as follows:void MX_I2C1_SMBUS_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN I2C1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END I2C1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN I2C1_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END I2C1_Init 1 */ hsmbus1.Instance = I2C1; hsmbus1.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0; hsmbus1.Init.AddressingMode = SMBUS_ADDRESSINGMODE_7BIT; hsmbus1.Init.DualAddressMode = SMBUS_DUALADDRESS_DISABLE; hsmbus1.Init.OwnAddress2 = 0; hsmbus1.Init.GeneralCallMode = SMBUS_GENERALCALL_DISABLE; hsmbus1.Init.NoStretchMode = SMBUS_NOSTRETCH_DISABLE; hsmbus1.Init.PacketErrorCheckMode = SMBUS_PEC_DISABLE; hsmbus1.Init.PeripheralMode = SMBUS_PERIPHERAL_MODE_SMBUS_HOST; if (HAL_SMBUS_Init(&hsmbus1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /** configuration Alert Mode */ if (HAL_SMBUS_EnableAlert_IT(&hsmbus1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /* USER CODE BE

Hello,I am testing my reader (based on ST25R95 ) across temperature and I have detected the device wakes up by itself (with no tag on field) when introduced into the fridge (about 5 ºC). The device which had been previously calibrated on ambient temperature (20-25 ºC).I am currently using a guard of +/- 8 as recommended by ST.I am having calRef values about 0x20 and 0x1C on different boards (same board model and antenna tunning).Questions:Is this a normal behaviour ? I am using NP0 capacitors, so I do not understand why the temperature change is affecting my system. Could you provide some advice about this?I guess if I increase the guard I will reduce this effect, but I am afraid this will lower the detection range, right?High Q antenna tunnings are more sensitive to temperature changes than low Q antennas? How do you recommend to lower the Q?Is the temperature provding higher or lower antenna current? When a tag enters on field the antenna current increases or decreases? Thanks in a

I have read online and saw that people can use the USB custom hid class generated by the CubeIde and they get good transfer speeds. Also in the past I have worked with stm32(F103RE/L462RE) and a older usblib for custom HID and KeilIDE. I used this together with a c# app that read and wrote data to it pretty fast (just a few seconds to transfer some blocks of data of max 3kb).Now with the same processor and CUBEIDE with the newest usb custom hid library the same transfer takes aver 1 min and 30 sec. On the PC side to read data from the stm32 with the old library I used HidD_GetInputReport method from hid.dll. With the newer usb hid library I have to use ReadFile(overlaped) since HidD_GetInputReport is not working. This is a very significant difference so I think I am not using the new USB CUSTOM HID library properly. Here is what I did so far:- The project uses freertos v2.0 some IOs / ADC coverter / USART2 / DMA(usart and adc) and a few timmers.1. I am using CUBEIDE2. I set the USB i

Any alternatives in the market to STE101P Ethernet Transceiver?

HI,Is it possible to write and compile c++ user space application for stm3m2mp1?If yes how ?

Hello,The mentioned board utilizes usb otg communication through the USB connector. DM and DP pins are PA11 and PA12 which are directly connected from the mcu to the USB connector (no available GPIO pins). There is no usart or uart connected to the DP and DM pins. Every SBSFU example including the most similar one - stm32F413H - uses usart/uart interface. For example the stm32F413H uses usart6 which is connected to the DP and DM pins. Possible solutions (?) : 1) Swaping the uart interface with usb otg interface in sbsfu project; 2) Directly connecting USB DM and DP pins to one of the available usart/uart interfaces; The first solution requires extra changes in the project files, by extra I mean, that the files that need to be updated are more than the mentioned default files in the documentation e.g. low level services files. And I dont know if this will not break anything else...The second solution requires soldering the uart/usart GPIO (or the mcu) pins to the usb connector pins. Are

The min sample time is 2.5 ADC clock cycles and max.ADC clock is 80MHz, with this the sampling time is coming as 31.25ns but you mentioned as 18.75ns. Here, I think ST has taken the ADC clock cycles are 1.5. I felt it as a bug.

On F4 (and also other families) The TIM2_ETR and TIM2_CH1 are both on the same pins. The pins are PA0, PA5 and PA15.How can I configure the timer/gpio to get ETR on PA5 and CH1 on PA15 ?The alternate function numbers are the same for ETR and CH1...I need ETR and the unique features of CH1 and CH2.An ST example uses this code to initialize the ETR GPIO PA0: GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_LOW; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF1_TIM2; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);How does this code specify that this is for ETR and not CH1?

Hi,I need a development board with the rgb 666 interface to use a TFT display.Looking through the Nucleos, I found the NUCLEO-F429ZI and the NUCLEO-F439ZI which should include that interface.Reading the documentation of theese boards and their MCU, I saw that the LQFP144 package of the STM32F4 of theese Nucleos should support the rgb666 interface (not the rgb888), and that's ok for me, but I found in the datasheets that the LCD_R0 and LCD_R1 pin are not present in the MCU (and Nucleo) pinout.. So, how can I connect the LDC_[R5 to R0] pins of my LCD?Should I map the display LCD_R/G/B[5..0] pins to the Nucleo LCD_R/G/B[7..2] pins?Thank you in advance

Hello, I have a wearable design which consists of 2x STM32 MCUs (One STM32WB and a STM32L010K8). They are connected via I2C and I need to be able to reprogram the STM32L010K8 using the STM32WB via the I2C port. However, there's mixed information related to the capability of the ROM bootloader to communicate via I2C. The first page of the STM32L010K8 datasheet says that the pre-programmed bootloader supports SPI and UART. Then on page 18 (Boot modes) it states that I2C on pins PB6 and PB7 can be used to reprogram the flash memory.Which one is correct? Can anyone here confirm if the STM32L010K8 can be reprogrammed via I2C using the ROM bootloader?Cheers,Daniel
