I have been using USB_FS for some time now and recently added the EXT13 IRQ for the user button in the STM32L5 DK. I set a task to toggle a pin when the button is pressed and noticed that if the USB is running, the event does not wake the user button task. If the USB is disabled or does not start properly, the task wakes and functions as expected. If I remove the event flag wait, the task functions normally. I have tried both IRQ priorities equal and lowering the USB priority with the same result that the task does not wake when the USB is active.

I have a multi target project. My targets are STM32L152CB and STM32L152RC. I use Ubuntu 20.4 with STM32CubeMX 6.3.0.Since STM32CubeMX does not natively support multiple targets I've decided to have two cube projects in the same folder. The generated files are the same since both targets use the same pins and peripherals and have the same core. The only difference is the processor type. Common application code will be in a seperate folder from the generated code and the project files. The first problem I encountered was that you cannot rename the .cproject, .project and .mxproject files. They are nameless and I couldn't find an option in STM32CubeMX to add a name. Therefore they will overwrite the existing files from the other target, so you cannot have both project files in the same folder. My workaround was to place the ioc files in seperate target folders. My second problem is that now each target folder has a copy of all the sources. I want all the sources in one place. The ioc file ha

Hello community,It is possible that an interrupt will be nested over itsef?I mean, I have one interrupt EXTI0_IRQHandler() and inside the interrupt I am waiting an event that requires the execution of the same interrupt. I read the PM0214 and it is said that "Preemption When the processor is executing an exception handler, an exception can preempt the exception handler if its priority is higher than the priority of the exception being handled"In my case, Could I change the prioriry of the IRQ dinamically so the new event will be processed as a new IRQ nested with the same IRQ??Thank you very much for your help

I have an ST25R3916-DISCO board which I am using to communicate with ST25 tags with an antenna. I'm using the ST25R3916 Discovery GUI to see the tag information on the computer. My antenna is being recognized, but how do I read the RSSI value of the signal? I read on multiple forums that they use the rfalGetTransceiveRSSI() command to obtain RSSI values, but how do I send the command? Is there any example code for the same?

i guess it might be the same, but just would like to make sure.thank you very much.

We have a custom board with an STM32F407 on it. I used CubeMX to create the project and enabled HTTPD. I used the example LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn to get a webserver running. I have a few pages working including a dynamic page. Next step was to create a page that would allow the user to Submit a file to upload to the webserver. I used the In Application Programming example for the STM324xG_EVAL board to get ideas on how to do this. The big difference is that it does not use netconn... Everything is fine until I press submit on the page, then the following happens:If you submit with no file chosen my code detects this and then does a netconn_write of the same page. Then it closes the connection and deletes the netbuf. When this happens I see from Wireshark that the first packet is sent out to refresh the page but it takes 3 packets and the other two never go out to the browser. I then see keepalive requests and responses from the browser and webserver after this.It gets stuck when you a

Could someone please shed some light on the algorithm the VL53L0X and VL53L1X use to calculate the distance from the returned photons for each laser pulse? @John E KVAM  you’ve mentioned in other blogs that photons seen are “averaged? – is the logic something like “during the return period there were X number of photons counted, photon number X/2 was counted in bin #11, therefore use the time of this bin for this pulse??I’m really interested in this because like a couple of other people have noted I’m finding both these sensors return consistently different distance for surfaces with different reflectance. I’m not using a cover glass, the sensors are perpendicular to the surface, I've been using a 100ms timing budget averaged over 50 ranges and am measuring fairly short distances (between 177-279mm). Some results for different materials arranged from shiniest to least shiny (according to my best judgement) are attached. As you can see the error trend is fairly consistent between

Edit 2: CubeMX 6.2.1 is working aswell. Will use this version for now.Edit 1: CubeMX 6.0.0 and 6.2.0 are workingAfter Code Generation, the 3 injected Channels (0,1,2) would be all initialized with ADC_INJECTED_RANK_1 despite other setting in CubeMX.With older Version this was working. Did something change with the setup which I don't understand or is this a possible bug?

Hi, I am using B-G431B-ESC1 board for tests and MC-SDK 5.Y.2. I have a motor with Hall sensors. Are there any possibilities for braking the motor other than setting a downward speed ramp to 0.I mean regenerative braking methods, and I'm also wondering if it is possible to keep the motor in place at zero speed despite attempts to turn it. Without using an encoder and position control, namely with Hall sensors and current measurements.Perhaps this is outside the scope of the MC-SDK, but I would still like to know the possible options.

What output data format does the STEVAL-STWINKT01 develepment board use? (.dat) How can I make this data visible and view it? For example, in excel. It would be nice to see what data the device has saved to the SD card and process it. How can this be done?

Hi,Master:MCU: STM32H750VB(LQFP100)Application requirements: Requires LCD controller to drive 7" (1024x600 pixels) TFT screen.Power-on initialization to load image resources from external flash to RAM and LCD buff requires RAM, which requires a lot of RAM, so externally expand SRAM and drive through FMC.Problem: Some FMC pins are the same as the LCD controller, but they cannot be multiplexed and mapped to other pins, causing conflicts. For example, PE14 is the conflicting pin of LCD_CLK and FMC_D11Expectation: Without changing the MCU model, is there a way to resolve this conflict and achieve application requirements?thank you very much!

Hi,I'm use STM32F103C8T6 for some subsytem of UAV. I want to program my STM32 via USB port but i cant find any document for atollic or cube ide. I find only for arduino IDE. What can i do?Thank you.

Hello, Till now I was using ST25R3911B NFC chip for read/write (ISO15693).Unfortunately ship have long lead time. Can you please advice me which chip to use as alternative to have less changes on the PCB as possible?? (ST25R3912, ST25R3915, ST25R3917,... ??)Thank you,Domen

Hi all,I'm trying to implement a class that should allow me to use the USART with the DMA. It's a learning project in which I'm trying to learn how to retrieve the correct information from the datasheet and the reference manual. I'm reading the reference manual RM0390 and the datasheet STM32F446xC/E.I don't understand how I can choose the correct stream and channel for the USART. take as example the USART1. At page 207 section 9.3.4 there is the table 28 and 29that is telling me what is connected to the streams and channels, but it's written that they are examples.Does it means that there is no fixed configuration and that I have to choose or is it the only usable configuration? If the answer is the first how can I choose?

Hello, all.How to post info about found bugs in STM32CubeMX?Can't find correct way for it. (Feedback? ST Online Support Center?)Thank you.

Hi,I need to change a screen's look at run time. For example, upon command, change background color of screen1 to a specific color. My problem is that after moving to screen2 and then back to screen1 the new background color is lost since TouchGFX calls the base class that uses the original color. Any idea how to keep new setting also after switching between screens? I wouldn't like to change the base code that is generated and not meant to be updated by user.Thank you,Ari

HelloI am new to STM32. I want to Use FOC for controlling sensorless motor. Which MPU/MCU can be used for ESC of drone motor. I found STEVAL-ESC001v1 can be used as reference design for entry level commercial drone design. Which software I need to download and only ordering ESC001v1 will be sufficient to start project? or is there necessity to order other board?

I am new to STM32. I am porting my code from ATMega128 to STM32 for faster thru put . I have to connect W5500 to STM32F103 on SPI2. To test my understanding of SPI on STM32 after compiling , a small test code in while loop.  SPI_Write(S0_CR,CR_CLOSE); //#define S0_CR 0x0001, CR_CLOSE 0x10; data_read = SPI_Read(S0_CR);used the below sub functions void SPI_Write(int addr,char data){ SPI_select HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, ((addr & 0xFF00) >> 8), 1, 100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, (addr & 0x00FF),1,100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, (WRITE_OPCODE_S0),1,100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, data, 1, 100); SPI_deselect } char SPI_Read(int addr){ SPI_select HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2,((addr & 0xFF00) >> 8),1,100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2,(addr & 0x00FF),1,100); HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2,(READ_OPCODE_S0),1,100); HAL_SPI_Receive(&hspi2,spi_rec,1,100); SPI_deselect return spi_rec; }Expected 0x10 (16) in data_read

Hello everyone. Today I ran into an interesting and at the same time unpleasant problem. The same program is loaded into two identical microcontrollers, but the result of the work is completely different. The screenshot shows the data from the UART received from one and the other microcontroller.

I've designed a board that uses an STM32G030F6 processor. Now I've updated the software and... (one feature wasn't implemented yet) I cannot connect to the target CPU to flash tne new firmware into the board. Then you'd think I've programmed the SWD pins to something else that AF1: SWD, but as far as I know: i haven't. That said, then I should be able to use "connect under reset" and again... that doesn't work. (It should work if I manually hit the reset button, right? ) Both programmers I've tried today program my STM32F072R development board just fine without any trouble. Any suggestions? I thought: Maybe there is a way out with the bootloader, but alas, I've not hooked up the "boot0" pin to the programming connector as I usually do... The reason being that by default the 'G030 doesn't have a boot0 pin: that isn't enabled in the default flash config and the pin conflicts with SWD. I'm a Linux user, don't have access to MS Windows. I use "stlink" software by Texane .

I was wondering if it was possible to create a momentary button on a touchscreen using touchGFX? I am interested in using it to activate a pump while pressing the screen. For my application, a momentary button would be better suited than any latching switch.Cheers

Posted on May 31, 2017 at 23:17 I am trying to make usb operate in STM32F103 but it seems doing so is a lot different than usb fs in STM32F4 series. In F4 series it was just enough to connect usb connector to Data pins and MCU would take care of other parts. But in F103 series it is required to pull-up D+ with a resistor and also it is required to handle this pullup in different situations. From what I can find in the schematics of STLink, there is pin (USB_RENUMn) controlling this pullup resistor https://i.stack.imgur.com/tgpRh.jpg Does anybody know how to handle this pull up resistor? I could not find out what to do with this USB_RENUMn thing. You guys have any idea? usb stm32f103
