On a custom screen which contains a VideoWidget, I added a button that calls a callback to go back to another screen. I switch the screen as it's suggested from ST by calling static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(Application::getInstance())->gotoHomeScreen();This way of doing works on all my screens, but on the video screen it crashes the program when the tick event gets called :FrontendApplicationBase::handleTickEvent();When I remove the video widget of my view, the problem disappears. Is there a way to solve the issue ?

Hi, The general documentation for the STM32G0 family mentions BOOT_LOCK all over the place where this is actually only available on STM32G0x1, not STM32G0x0. I hope this can be fixed and will help some other developers in the meantime. Some of the documents affected:AN5145AN5096AN2606 : Pattern 11 mentions BOOT_LOCK. Perhaps another pattern without this should be listed.Cheers.

I have default setup under linux with CubeIDE 1.7.0 and for overriding, i had to modify as __weak void HAL_PCD_ConnectCallback(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd);__weak void HAL_PCD_DisconnectCallback(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd);oh header definitions. Otherwise it complains about multiple definitions despite .c weak implementations. It might be related to gcc logic. These functions are said to be USB related.Am i missing a point? Header files requires weak definitions. Update if necessary.

Hi All.I want to use the battery to power the RETRAM so that the contents of the RETRAM can be preserved even if the board is not powered. To do this, I connected the battery to the VBAT pin and set the "PWR_CR2_RREN" value to the "PWR_CR2" register of the M4 core firmware. However, when booting from Linux, the value set in the "PWR_CR2" register disappears. When booting in "Engineering Mode" and running only with the firmware of the M4 core, the setting value of the "PWR_CR2" register does not disappear even when the main power is turned off.Is there anything I need to add when I create the "dts" file to enable that feature? Please give me a lot of advice.ThanksRegardsMachilus

I am trying to use stop mode with the STM32L073 chip. I am able to get my code working while I am not using FreeRTOS on the STM32L073. I am also able to get this working on the STM32G0 Nucleo board with FreeRTOS.When I start using FreeRTOS on the STM32L073, I am getting timer interrupts on the systick Timebase source I am using. TIM7 in this case.I believe after reading up on this that HAL_SuspendTick() should be stopping all TIM7 interrupts on my system until I call HAL_ResumeTick(); //Last community.st.com solution to deal with this problem was to only include the 2 interrupts of RTC and button interrupt. That is what this tempEXTIIMR value is. volatile uint32_t tempEXTIIMR = 0;   tempEXTIIMR = EXTI->IMR; //Disable all but RTC wake up source and ON_OFF_BUTTON //EXTI_IMR_IM3 is the bitfield for the ON_OFF_BUTTON's interrupt EXTI->IMR = RTC_EXTI_LINE_WAKEUPTIMER_EVENT | EXTI_IMR_IM3;   HAL_SuspendTick(); osThreadSuspendAll();   HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_MAIN

I am trying to read from an external SPI ADC at a 1MHz rate using a timer and 4 dma channels.I setup TIM 3 to run at 16 MHz and rollover at a count of 24.CC1 pulse is 1, cc2 pulse is 2 cc3 pulse is 22. CC1 drives DMA1 stream4 which is setup to transfer from memory to a GPIO BSSR register , cs assertCC2 drives DMA1 stream 5 which writes a 16bit value to the SPI Tx register, starting a transferCC3 drives DMA1 stream 7 which is setup to transfer from memory to a GPIO BSSR register, cs de-assertThe SPI transfer works as expected, but bothe the GPIO DMAs fail with a transfer error and the NDTR register decremented by 1 from the programmed value. How can I debug the DMA transfer error. I have tried both 16 and 32 bit transfers as well as just running a single channel. No luck.Any help will be apprreciated.

I'm working with a STM32F051 Discovery board. I've created a project that should allow me to adjust the output voltage to the DAC pin PA4, but the expected step voltage output to that pin remains at ground voltage level.I'm sure that I'm missing something simple but not sure. All configuration was created using the most recent STM32CubeMX 6.4.0 and I'm running my code with the STM32IDE 1.8.Attached is the main.c method as well as the .ioc project created by CubeMX,Can someone explain why my DAC output does not provide any signal? Thanks.

Hello everyone,I have pretty uncommon question. I'm working on STM32WB with SBSFU, and I'm wondering, if it's possible to use non-secure boot with it? As far as I'm concerned, secure boot is enabled by default, but many security features can be disable using flags. Also, another question: All the provided examples are using USART YMODEM to transfer data. I know, that it really doesn't matter what kind of protocol you use as long as image is placed in a correct place in the memory, but I wonder if I can use DFU feature to update firmware and still use SBSFU. I think it should be possible.Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone,I'm working on a projects that countains a stm32l152re to communicate with temperature/Humidity sensor amongst other sensors and a DC relay to control some light bulps. However, when the relay is closed, it overheat and corrupt the measured data from the sensors. I know this problem can be looked at from different perspectives (electronics, Mechanics and firmware).I'm a junior embedded system developer. I contributed to this project by developing firmware for some of the sensors and I've been asked recently to give a suggestion for the heating problem. I searched on the net but couldn't find some valuable info that I could use. Any suggestions will be very welcome especially a firmware one.I'm open into any questions or more detailed informations. Thanks !

Hi,I'm using STM32MP157A-DK1 and I built the image adding the logicanalyser layer (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mpu-app-logicanalyser).I follow the tutorial "How to exchange data buffers with the coprocessor".I add the rpmsg_hdr code to send message from the M4 to the DDR memory. The message is "Hello\r\n".I would like to see this message with A7.In the folder /dev there is the device rpmsg-sdb.For the code I follow the section "rpmsg_sdb driver" of https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_exchange_data_buffers_with_the_coprocessor#cite_note-sdb-driver-2I have no problem to open the file descritpor but when I use the command mmap occurs an error that I get with strerror(errno): "Invalid Argument".This is the code:void *buff0_id; int fd; size_t size;   int main(void) { printf("Hello OpenSTLinux World!\n");   size = 7;   fd = open("/dev/rpmsg-sdb", O_RDWR); if(fd < 0) { printf("Error descriptor\n"); printf("%s\n", strerror(errno)); } &nbsp

Hi there, regarding EVAL6498L, is it necessary to mount the diode D1 (represented as not mounted in the schematic diagram)? or is D1 not necessary because the bootstrap supply diode is already included inside the 6498 integrated circuit?Thank you

Hi there|I start to wrote my tiny first application with touchgfc and STM32G071 nucleo i just put one button with label . I want control a led. my problem is when i touch the button on the display nothingh append i try to put one breakpoint in the btn1() functionbut it look like i never arrive, I follow step by steo the STM tutorial and look a couple of video on youtube i didi the same but nothing work . I hope some one can help me thanks a lot

Hello everyone.I am working on a project, where It has 6 PWM channels, and there will be 3 channels active at time, As all PWM channels must have the same frecuency, all PWMs channel must start and stop at the same time, I am trying to define TIM2 as MASTER and TIM3 as Slave.I was testing some options, but I couldn´t move forward.......In order to SYNC (as much as possible) I set Master, Slave and CNT registers in both TIMs, so after that I defined a Breakpoint in order to check if **** are same or almost the same, but CNT from TIM2 and TIM3 are not the same, there are running not tight as I expected..I was reading RM008 14.3.20 Timer synchronization and wrote the following lines in order to set TIM2 as Master and TIM3 as Slave (as I explained above, and it is not working)TIM2->CR2 = TIM_TRGO_ENABLE;TIM3->SMCR = TIM_TS_ITR1 | TIM_SMCR_SMS_2 | TIM_SMCR_SMS_1; HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim2);HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3);TIM2->CNT=0;TIM3->CNT=0;TIM2 and TIM3 a

Is there a library of peripheral drivers for "standard" ports such as Serial, USB, Ethernet, SD card, etc.? For example, I am designing a board with STM32H743 and using a LAN8742A Ethernet Transceiver (RMII interface). Is there firmware code I can download and run the transciever? Thanks.

Hi, I used the STM32F429Zi discovery board. So, I try to change the value to TextArea, but It's not work.I created a project with reference to the following site.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xxkN9h0HYI*. Use the TouchGTX and make UI*. Make handlerTickEvent on the CubeIDE  *. Complie the code on the CubeIDE and execute TouchGTX simulator.  I don't know, what's the problem. Can you tell me, how this code work? And, Can you give me an example for TextArea?Thank you

After flash programming, the program doesn't run once I disconnect the debugger and do a power cycling. Can somebody help me to find what the problem is? I use the attached build settings for Hex file generation in SPC5 Studio.

I have a problem to get the ethernet to work with the PHY AR8035 (Atheros). The board is from MYiR (MYC-YA157C-V2), but they are only providing yocto based image and I'm doing my work with buildroot. I'm using the bootlin buildroot branch: st/2021.02 https://github.com/bootlin/buildroot.gitThe kernel can't find MDIO: mdio_bus stmmac-0: MDIO device at address 6 is missing. The funny thing is, if I first boot the board from eMMC where the original image from MYiR is flashed, and afterwards, without switching power off, I start my image from the sdcard, the ethernet works. I guess this means that some register value is wrong, but I don't know where to start look. This also means that address 6 for the MDIO is also correct. On TF-A I have CLK_ETH_DISABLED, because the 125MHz is coming from the PHY.Below is the device tree for the kernel (CONFIG_AT803X_PHY=y is set):&ethernet0 { interrupts-extended = <&intc GIC_SPI 61 IRQ_TYPE_LEVEL_HIGH>, <&intc GIC_SPI 62 IRQ_TYP

Hi I have interfaced STM32L4 qspi with Winbond(W25N01GV). I am using HAL api's. The problem is erase/write to a page(2KB) address(say 0x0) repeats to the page after 512 KB(Say 0x80000) and so on. This is a 128 MiB NAND flash and erase command(D8h) only available for erasing 128KiB block. But what I experienced like it is erasing 2KiB. I will put my initialization below. I dig so much time on it to find where I goes wrong,  hqspi.Instance = QUADSPI; hqspi.Init.ClockPrescaler = 2; hqspi.Init.FifoThreshold = 4; hqspi.Init.SampleShifting = QSPI_SAMPLE_SHIFTING_NONE; hqspi.Init.FlashSize = 26; hqspi.Init.ChipSelectHighTime = QSPI_CS_HIGH_TIME_1_CYCLE; hqspi.Init.ClockMode = QSPI_CLOCK_MODE_0; hqspi.Init.FlashID = QSPI_FLASH_ID_1; hqspi.Init.DualFlash = QSPI_DUALFLASH_DISABLE; if (HAL_QSPI_Init(&hqspi) != HAL_OK) {  Error_Handler(); }

Hi TeamI'm working on custom bootloader. And I want to know if it possible to locate a custom bootloader in any sector. Is it okay if the boot loader is not in the first address of FLASH 0x08000000?[My Conditions]IDE: STM32CubeIDEMCU: STM32F405RG

Hi community members, I wanted to ask is it possible to power on the nucleo board from an external source and debug it via USB connected to a laptop? I want to keep the power source and external circuit connected to my nulceo board separated from my laptop but at the same time I want to debug the code. Is it possible to do so, and is it the safest approach? Looking forward to the valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance.BR,WK
