This new disaster put to trash, an drevert back old version

Hi to all,I'm facing with an hard fault when call f_write() or f_read() from FatFs library (R0.12c).I'm able to mount SD card, create a file in write mode, write to it using f_puts().As suggested, I use the HardFault_Handler:void HardFault_Handler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN HardFault_IRQn 0 */ static volatile int _Continue;   _Continue = 0;   while(_Continue == 0); return; /* USER CODE END HardFault_IRQn 0 */ while (1) { /* USER CODE BEGIN W1_HardFault_IRQn 0 */ /* USER CODE END W1_HardFault_IRQn 0 */ } }Once inside, I change the value of _Countinue to 1, and follow the execution with "Step into".I found that the HardFault is caused by function validate() inside f_write().I can't find the cause.I use a STM32F103RCT, the project id generated in CubeMX. I try different Heap and Stack (0x800, 0x800) but the problem still remain. So I have two questions:1) How can I choose the best Heap/stack size and what is the greater value that I can configure ?2) There is a way to

Hello,I am working on a Project mainly from my desktop PC, yet because I recently installed my board in a garden shed, I have to use my Laptop from now on if I dont want to take the board home again. For this purpose I simply copied my projectfolder from /.../TouchGFXProjects, to the same location on my laptop. If I try flashing my STM32F469I-DISCO board from my laptop, somehow CubeIDE decides to not flash my external memory (QSPI). The result is a black screen instead of what I designed with TGFX.This is what I get from the console using my PC:Erasing memory corresponding to segment 0:Erasing internal memory sectors [0 5]Erasing memory corrseponding to segment 1:Erasing external memory sectors [0 119]Download in Progress:This is what CubeIDE outputs ont the console using my laptop:Erasing memory corresponding to segment 0:Erasing internal memory sectors [0 5]Erasing memory corrseponding to segment 1:Download in Progress:So to my understanding it simply "refuses" to flash the QSPI... y

Hi,This question is more a network protocol question than about MCU's however I am writing a driver for the Inventek and wish to use the built in mDNS server so the device may use DHCP and have a local host name. The Inventek manual doesn't explain what the mDNS parameters do. I was thinking some one with better network knowledge than me might be able to help.I have gotten the data transport working for UDP with the device configured as a stationI will publish the drivers on this site when I have got them working. The parameters in question are:‘D1’ Set mDNS State and Name. I am guessing state is whether the mDNS service is on or off and the name is the name that will be assigned as an alias of the device IP Address.‘D2’ Set mDNS Services. This is the diffcult one: The usage is - D2=<Service # 0/1>,<Instance(32chars)>,<Service(32Chars)>,<Port>,<TTL> There seems to be an error in the manual as this command takes 6 parameters not the five shown in the usage.Th

Hi, I'm completely new to MCU programming, and bought my very first unit stm32f103c8t6 from a local store. I read some glowing reviews about it and bought it as my first ever MCU because it was affordable. Boy am I regretting my decision now! :( I can't even seem to get it connected with my PC. I'm using Windows 10 as I'm sure more than 75% of the world are. It seems there are no drivers for my OS. I tried the Windows 7 and Windows 8 drivers but they don't work. When I plug in my stm32f103c8t6 with USB cable and micro USB port, it shows USB device is not recognized. There's clearly a driver missing.I also bought a USB TTL adapter. I installed its drivers, and I connected using Vin, Gnd, Tx, Rx (A9, A10 pins) and tried to get it working. Used the Arduino IDE latest version like every instructional video says. The blink example seems to upload to the stm32f103c8t6 without issues, but the LED pc13 does not blink.I tried searching everywhere for a solution, and all I found out is nothing. T

Just started using the STM32F446, installed the STM32CubeIDE and made my first program. The issue arised when I tried to debug, got an error "No ST-link detected! Please connect ST-LINK and restart debug session."Tried multple solutions online :replacing libusb-1.0.dlldifferent softwere Keil uVision5reinstaling st-link serverall usb ports on my pc

Hii How to calculate Flash memory write time?

HI, I am using X-CUBE-AWS 1.4 version along with B-L475E-IOT01A board.I have downloaded the X-CUBE-AWS 1.4 firmware from the below websitehttps://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-aws.htmlAfter building and running the project the following errors occur and do not connect to AWS. I have downloaded the root CA and device certificate and private key when I created the IoT thing in the AWS. However, it gives the following error.x509_verify_cert() returned -9984 (-0x2700)Attaching image for more informationCan someone give me directions who were successful in dealing with this error?

Hello guys,I had recently a problem with executing LDREX instruction on the STM32H755 when MPU was activated for the specific memory region that covered the address accessed by the LDREX instruction. After executing LDREX instruction I got immediately a hard fault error with BFARVALID & PRECISERR bits are set in BFSR and the last accessed address pointed on the address accessed by the LDREX instruction. When the MPU was not activated there was no problem at all. Before I provide the MPU configuration I would like to ask few questions:1. Has the STM32H755 implemented a global monitor of the exclusive accesses?2. Is the exclusive access cleared in the global monitor after ISR occurs on the CPU that claimed it, or only the local one is cleared? The MPU configuration is following:  MPU_InitStruct.Enable = MPU_REGION_ENABLE;  MPU_InitStruct.Number = MPU_REGION_NUMBER0;  MPU_InitStruct.BaseAddress = someAddress;  MPU_InitStruct.Size = 2;  M

Hi, this is a question about LIS2DH12. I've been puzzled over the full scale settings for this sensor. As it says in the datasheet, the ranges are ±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g, yet when I am set at 16g, I am able to obtain a max range of -24656, +24384.I am using low power mode, and calculating the ranges by hand, here are the ranges I get:(-24656, 24384) 16G(-8192, 8128) 8G(-4096, 4064) 4G(-2048, 2032) 2GSince at low power mode, the accelerometer only outputs a byte of data, and accounting for a signed integer, the max positive value would be 127 multiplied by whatever the mg/digit is.In the case of 16G, it would be 127 * 192 = 24384, yet for the other configurations the max value remain near their thresholds. Therefore, is there something I am misunderstanding about 16G mode, or is there something wrong with the datasheet? Thanks for your time,Isaac

I have to develop a project for my master degree and I want to know if it will be possible to send audio data sampled by an ADC through CAN FD, and on which frequency should I sample the data.I have tried to sample at 16kHz but I cant send the data fast in order to comply with real time audio effect.

I started the project with TouchGFX using STM32H7B3IIT6 and YB-TG800480S28A-C-A TFT display. But I could not operate the touch feature of the screen I was using. I am using ILI2117A touchscreen controller. What development steps do I need to implement in the project? Does ST have a driver for ILI2117A?

ST25R3911B datasheet, section 1.2.21, paragraph "Antenna tuning using calibrate antenna direct command", indicates that the hardware algorithm uses a target phase (from the Antenna calibration target register).AN4914, section 3, says:Figure 18 shows the hardware-based AAT. This algorithm searches primarily the maximum amplitude of the input signal by changing the trim value. The target phase plays a minor role.I am trying to understand what does the Antenna calibration target register represent - is it a target phase or a target amplitude?

Good day!I'm trying to run ADC DMA mode on the NUCLEO-L152RE board using HAL, but it doesn't work properly. For testing, 3 channels are used: ADC_CHANNEL_6 (RANK 1), ADC_CHANNEL_VREFINT (RANK 2), ADC_CHANNEL_TEMPSENSOR (RANK 3). 2 problems were found out: 1) When channels are sequentially polled, all values are written to one (first) element of the array. 2) The values of all channels are 8 bits, although the ADC resolution is 12bit and a 12 bit value is displayed in the ADC data register. The same code works fine on STM32F103RBT6. Maybe someone knows if there are any BUGs or some peculiarities in using STM32L1 HAL for ADC DMA mode? Test code:#include "main.h"volatile uint16_t ADC_RES[3];volatile float U_ADC_RES[3];#define Vref 3.3//#define TS_CAL1_25 1.34// raw ADC 670//#define Avg_Slope 0.0043ADC_HandleTypeDef hadc;DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_adc;void SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);static void MX_ADC_Init(void);static void MX_DMA_Init(void);int main(void)

Hi,I have seen, that for the bootloader with just one image, it is only possible to use the YMODEM with UART for updating the firmware with the SBSFU. Now what I'm am concerned about is, that the YMODEM seems not to be very error tolerant. So, what further mechanisms does the SBSFU use, to verify that the firmware is not corrupted anywhere (in case the checksum of the SBSFU fails somewhere, since it is only 16bit, right)? Will the whole firmware be checked with a checksum after reception to see, if it is valid?

I've followed the example on Embedded Inference Client API. However when I run the model I get the error code 23 and type 19 which is the AI_ERROR_CODE_INVALID_FORMAT.I've checked the type with the following code and both the input and output return 1 for float_stat, this shows that it is a float type /* Extract format of the first input tensor (index 0) */ volatile const ai_buffer *ai_input_1 = &ai_input[0]; /* Extract format of the tensor */ fmt_1 = AI_BUFFER_FORMAT(ai_input_1); //Extract the float value 1 = float type float_stat = AI_BUFFER_FMT_GET_FLOAT(fmt_1);I've included my code to see if there is something obvious. I have used the API reference that is accessed through CubeIDE but I have found no help. I'm unsure of any other documentation that may help either or examples. I've removed the default code to make it easier to read.An Onnx model was used which is a sklearn model that has been converted. I was able to upload, analyse, graph and vali

I've been working with the Cube AI package recently and I think it is amazing and has got soo much potential. I find for most ML it is done on a computer or cloud but STM has given us another approach that I think will work very well. My issue with Cube AI is that all videos online are >1 year old and use older versions. As well non-show how to use Onnx format ML models as examples just use TensorFlow lite. As well I've really struggled to find good documentation and examples for Cube AI, and the examples in the repository are OK but don't work and I feel like need more explanation. Will there be more videos, documents coming in the future? Are there any documents, websites or videos I should watch to help me as I may have missed them? Thanks to anyone who directs me in the right direction :)

Hello,I used to generate code from STM32CubeMX then edit, compile and flash to board with Keil µVision (default config). Recently, I followed bootloader tutorial that uses STM32CubeIDE and I must admit it's nice but for exact same source code, the generated code size in way bigger (47k vs 27k) and I need it to fit into 32k... The Debug / Release configuration is unclear to me as well as compiler directive, isn't it technically possible to configure STM32CubeIDE to generate exact same code as Keil µVision from exact same source files ?Hope someone can help :)Have a good day,Thomas

I have previously used V4.12 for projects and have been able to set Resouce Text to any colour. After upgrading to V4.18 the text colours can be set in Designer but on the target they seem to be limited to the primary colours and their combinations (three colour bits per pixel). How to I get the full range of RGB565 colours to be used with resource text on 4.18? I tried 4.18.1 and it made no difference. I am using the IAR IDE.

Hello I was hoping to get some guidance on what the best way to read an 8bit register, clear and set a few bits, then write back to the same register using the HAL_Transmit function. I am using a TI LP55231 9 Channel LED driver. Datasheet is located here: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lp55231.pdfMy issue is when I read the registers and step through the code I am not getting the values I am expecting and I believe it has something to do with how the variable types do not match as one is a uint8_t and the other is a pointer. I got this code originally from github as a place to start located here:https://github.com/jonathanrjpereira/LP55231-Programmable-9-LED-DriverThe provided code seems to give just very basic user functions but I wanted to expand on the library and see if I could add a few more features to it. I started by testing the existing code and realized some of it is not functional. Such as the channel mapping function and this is how I got to where I am. The code below ar

I'm using STM32L412KBUx on NUCLEO-L412KB, STM32CubeIDE, Version: 1.8.0.Design: ADC1 is set up to continuously poll several channels and update locations in RAM with DMA.After a period of inactivity, the application goes to sleep.
