Hello community,I configured the uart dma in my project based on the project example USART_TxRx_DMA_Init, and stuck in frame errors, one of the errors is the end of the string seems to be swapped.Sometimes there is no problem the end of the string is \r\n (0x0D 0x0A) and sometime its 0x0D 0xA0. This is because the dma ends before uart has finished, and another string is sent.I modified the example project so that it continuously sends with few ms delay between each, and no error. How to prevent dma from overwriting previous string data without delay ? (using another IT ?)I got the same issue with the example project and STEVAL-IDB011, you can see in above image, the spike is the dma IT.

Hello,I am working with an STM32MP157 -DK2The Distribution Package currently offers a Yocto version that is aligned with Dunfell (in particular meta-st-linux)Is this repository maintained somewhere in a way that it is aligned with current Yocto releases such as hardknott?Regards

The Clock Configuration tab in CubeMX is not happy and I cannot figure out what the problem is exactly. I only want to use HSE a 25MHz external clock source in BYPASS. And I do not intend to use the PLL. Is this a bug in the tool? How can I satisfy this clock configurator?

Hello, i am using a STM32L0xx series, i just finished my bootloader than can init and jump an application from the specific location in Flash memory, so the only thing left to do is getting bin file (data) from the usart, but how can i send a .bin file from the computer to MCU's usart?¿ i can send hexadecimals, decimals, text etc...but what about binary files?¿The main idea is use a GPRS module (i have it already) and put the .bin file in a cloud and download it finally, but i don't know how to send this....Thanks in advance

Here is what I am trying to Implement. To make the I2C Slave look like a memory to the master. Syntax is one of two cases. For a Write:<Dev Add W><MemAdd MSB><MemAdd LSB><Data0><Data1>...<Data N><Stop>For a Read:<Dev Add W><MemAdd MSB><MemAdd LSB><Restart Dev Add R><Data0><Data1>...<Data N><Stop>I am on the first step. I want to use DMA because I do not want interrupts firing on every byte. My processor has to do other things like data collection, and not just mind the I2C. I think I have to use the HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Receive_DMA() and HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_DMA() routines. There is a XferOptions parameter, and I can not figure out what to use for the initial read (from the slave point of view.) . It does not matter which one I use, I get an error. I am looking for one that gracefully ends with a stop or a restart. Because in the write case, they could write 2 bytes at the address, or could wri

Hi all,I've tried every example I can find to send data to a terminal using UART on my Nucleo 144. Every time the code builds fine but there is never anything on the terminal, and the code doesn't get stuck anywhere it runs fine.

Hi all,I'm using the MDMA to communicate with an external flash over QUADSPI.I have an implementation which works great without FreeRTOS, but when I implement it using FreeRTOS I get Transfer Error Address. I have verified that the RAM address exists in AXI memory so it seems like there is something about FreeRTOS that is not allowing the MDMA to read the memory?// Write operation MDMA_Channel0->CDAR = &QUADSPI->DR; MDMA_Channel0->CSAR = pData;   // Read operation MDMA_Channel0->CDAR = pData; MDMA_Channel0->CSAR = &QUADSPI->DR;I've seen the issue with both read and write operations. For both read and write the MDMA_CESR_TED = 0, meaning that the error is related to a read access. This is the flow of the program:[FreeRTOS task] Perform write operation, set volatile flag indicating flash operations are busy[MDMA transfer complete interrupt] Disable MDMA[SPI transfer complete interrupt] Start polling flash status with QUADSPI[Polling match interrupt] set flag

I am trying to initialize my W25Q128jv External Flash in my project, but I am not able to write on it and I think it could be because of the Memory Mapping Mode but I really don't know. For this project I will need my QUADSPI when I will add TouchGFX to save some items, but for now I am only trying to do a for cycle to verify that it works and its performance. If I disable MemoryMappingMode to write, it goes in HardFault.uint32_t *flashbuffer = (uint32_t*)0x90000000; const uint32_t size = 1000;   int begin = HAL_GetTick(); for(i = 0; i < size; i++) { flashbuffer[i]=i; } int end = HAL_GetTick();Here is MX_QUADSPI_Initstatic void MX_QUADSPI_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 1 */ /* QUADSPI parameter configuration*/ hqspi.Instance = QUADSPI; hqspi.Init.ClockPrescaler = 1; hqspi.Init.FifoThreshold = 4; hqspi.Init.SampleShifti

Hi!I try to set IRQ priority to 3 and subpriority to 2.HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI9_5_IRQn, 3, 2);I suppose that correspond NVIC IPR [23] now is 0x32. But it is 0x30. I read AIRCR PRIGROUP (it is 3).uint32_t PriorityGroup = NVIC_GetPriorityGrouping();According PM0253 if PRIGROUP == 3, than Binary point is bxxxx.yyyy,Number of group priorities = 16,Number of subpriorities = 16Futhermore I try to use with different input parameters and never get expected results.PreemptSubPrior = NVIC_EncodePriority(PriorityGroup, PreemptPriority, SubPriority); So, so...I am totaly confused with source code of HAL and CMSIS ...NVIC_SetPriority(IRQn, NVIC_EncodePriority(prioritygroup, PreemptPriority, SubPriority));__STATIC_INLINE uint32_t NVIC_EncodePriority (uint32_t PriorityGroup, uint32_t PreemptPriority, uint32_t SubPriority)   { uint32_t PriorityGroupTmp = (PriorityGroup & (uint32_t)0x07UL); /* only values 0..7 are used */ uint32_t PreemptPriorityBits; uint32_t SubPriorityBits; &n

Hi eveyone,I need to use the CR95HF.dll library on a VB.NET application but when i try insert on the project i get an error.I think this library is VB compatible only but i dont sure about this.Maybe anyone know how to port this library to be used on VB.NET or how could i use on NET platform.Thanks.Regards,

Is there a register to set the outputpower on the ST25R3916 like on a Texas Instruments RFID transceiver? Or is the output power entierly controlled by the DPO?

Hello,i try to create a scroll wheel with some texts as items. So i created the container and the highlighted container. Then i created a Group in the Texts "Scrollwheelgroup" with 6 Resources inside.FristResource, SecondResource, ......I want to show these Resources in my Scroll Wheel.Does anyone have an example not using numbers like in the example of TouchGFX?If the language is changed it will also change the contect of the scroll wheel, thats why i want to do it this way.Thank you very much.

Hello, I am using L6205D013TR on our PWB.I would like to use L6205D instead of L6205D013TR, but I could not find the difference between L6205D and L6205D013TR on their Data sheets. Please tell me the meaning of "013TR". It's just a difference of the pack?

While output data from DMA to SPI it should be able to use two buffers. Windows 10, TouchGFX Designer 4.18, STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0STM32F469-DISCO board with 800x480 DSI display.I'm trying to create a TouchGFX project, for which I can edit the visual part in TouchGFX Designer and the rest in STM32CubeIDE, so that I can edit stuff in the designer, save it and then go to STM32CubeIDE, compile it there and upload to the board. So far without success. I've been occasionally trying to do this for a few months. I try for a few days (heavy brainstorming), doesn't work, I give up (due to feeling helpless and demotivated and due to lack of possible solutions). Tried with designer 4.16 and cube 1.6.0 initially. Now, I haven't found a single valid google result on how to do it and only a pair of vids on YouTube (by EE Karl). There is pretty much no other information on the topic in the google, I googled my fingers to blood.-----------------------------------------------------------------------A little premise about how I got into this situation:I would want to go the other

Hi everyone.   I'm facing some issues when trying to define STM32CodeMonitor v1.3.0 or v1.4.0 as service on boot on Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop version.   I'm used to Node-RED and there is a procedure to set it as service on boot quite easy and stable to implement here.   I have already seached on STM32CubeMonitor wiki and here at forum for some procedure but won't found any solution. There is a way to define STM32CubeMonitor as service on boot already documented by ST?

There's a dev board with a lcd, but the U5 doesn't seem to have support for the same LTDC that that chips like stm32L4 or stm32F7 does.https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/evaluation-tools/product-evaluation-tools/mcu-mpu-eval-tools/stm32-mcu-mpu-eval-tools/stm32-eval-boards/stm32u575i-ev.html#overview

I am trying to program an STM32F103C8T6 over USART via the System Memory Bootloader. I've already tried with PL2023 and FTDI FTR232RL based USB-TTL converters. I've tried with multiple computers and multiple tools provided by ST. Also, I tried jumping from user code to bootloader besides pulling BOOT0 to HIGH. Whatever I tried, the chip is not responding. I can see the initial 0x7F bytes via a logic analyzer on the bus and the chip is just silent. I tried with BluePill and a custom PCB which is assembled using an F103 chip that was desoldered from an original Nucleo board (the chip was an STLink obviously, and I flashed the chip using another STLink). My main application which highly relies on USART1 works as expected. So I don't think there is an issue with the USART pins or PCBs I've used. STM32F103 is not listed in AN2026 AN2606, so is there any chance that particular model doesn't have a ROM bootloader?

I want to change the tx-duty cycle when my application is running (from a scheduled downlink for example), I guess i just could replace the define with my own variable, but that would be overwritten as it is outside the user code sections. What is the recommended way of doing this?
