Hello, there may be mistake in ST library. In reference manual registers are like that.In the library SEMA4_RSTGT has two different addresses for read and write but those are in the same address. With this when I try to reset gate it goes to one of error handlers, if I comment out RSTGT_W I can reset gates without any problem.

Hi everyone,I'm trying to understand if it's possible to use the sleep mode of the F401RE and then restore its state as soon as a NFC reader polls for the tag. From what I understood, the NFC04A1 tag has a built-in mechanism that triggers interrupts based on particular events. For example, in my application I enabled the RF_ACTIVITY interrupt, which helps me avoid writing into tag's memory while being polled by the reader. So, could I use this interrupt to also come back from sleep mode on the F401RE MCU?If I enter sleep mode at every loop cycle, the MCU waits for the RF_ACTIVITY interrupt from the tag (which becomes an I2C interrupt for the MCU), so it's waken up only by the interrupt, completes its loop cycle, and then enters sleep mode again. Is this possible?Thank you!

I'm talking to a camera device on I2C1. That is working fine. I read back the data via DMA on a scan signal. This also works fine except for one bit, D6, mapped to GPIO PA6. If the output pin from the camera is connected to PA6, I2C1 stops working. Further investigation shows that PA6 is being driven with the same signal as PB6, which is I2C1's clock. In my debug, nothing is connected to PB6, PA6, but I still see the clock appear on PA6. See image below. PA6 is an input, with an internal pullup. PB6 also has an internal pullup.Again, there is nothing connected to these pins except the logic analyzer. The signals are too wide to be glitches, they are driven. There isn't a single reference to PA6 in the entire reference manual (RM0394, ctrl-f pdf search) so I'm a bit confused.

Hello,I have seen that it is possible to use templates to modify the output code generated by STM32CubeMX. However, I'm having difficulty to get some examples. Also, I was wondering if with the help of templates the two following points can be achieved:1.- Peripherals like timers init function can accept arguments and not just be: e.i. MX_TIM1_Init2.- If main function can be renamed, in order for me to use the autogenerated code on several projects with others main function. Inother words only use STM32CubeMX to configure hardware.Thank you,Best regards !

Hi, I am using TouchGFX 4.16.1. Could you suggest a tutorial or some other material to add a second language to my project. Thank you.

Hi, I installed node.js with apt-get on my STM32MP157C-DK2, which worked great. Now I want to install another package but it failsapt-get install nodejs-npm... Need to get 7286 kB of archives. After this operation, 0 B of additional disk space will be used. I'm got a Nucleo-F746ZG connected to a DC motor, which I'm driving via PWM using TIM1.I'm using TIM3 in quadrature encoder mode to read the encoder on the motor. The problem I'm encountering is the TIM3 CNT register is not incrementing fast enough. The encoder on the motor generates 500 counts per revolution of the motor, and I've verified this using an oscilloscope to look at the two encoder outputs and comparing the expected counts with the motor's RPM as measured by a tachometer connected to the output shaft. At a measured speed of 3108 RPM, I see encoder edges every 10 microseconds, which is exactly what I expect. TIM3 is set up to count on every rising and falling transition of the two encoder outputs, so I'd expect TIM3's CNT to increase at a pretty fast rate, but I'm seeing it increase at only around 20-30 counts every 100 milliseconds, which is way too low. Occasionally the count even decreases. I'm having a hard time understanding why this is happening. The motor is spinning in

Hi all,I believe I am having a problem with the IWDG in my project. What's happening is that immediately after entering sleep mode the device wakes up again. From the research I have done, it looks like this is inevitable, and in order to deal with it I need to check the wakeup state at the start of my code, and put it back to sleep if it was woken up by the watchdog instead of the WKUP pin being pulled high.I am struggling to figure out how to do this within the HAL, I know it can be done, I have seen it in projects at work, but I am not a FW engineer, and that code was written with custom libraries.Any help would be appreciated.Cheers,Luke

Hi everyoneI am trying to modify the Kernel during the Distribution Package method (compiled from Yocto directly to the image)I have followed the information in the following pages:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/WLAN_overviewhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_customize_the_Linux_kernelhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Menuconfig_or_how_to_configure_kernelMy setup is importing the meta-st-stm32mp, adding my own layers and building an image from core-image (no OpenSTLinux in this case)MACHINE = "stm32mp1-disco"I have created a .bbappend recipe as follows:FILESEXTRAPATHS:prepend := "${THISDIR}:${THISDIR}/linux-stm32mp:"   KERNEL_CONFIG_FRAGMENTS:append = "${WORKDIR}/fragments/5.10/fragment-06-wlan.config" SRC_URI:append = " file://5.10/fragment-06-wlan.config;subdir=fragments " SRC_URI:class-devupstream += "file://5.10/fragment-06-wlan.config;subdir=fragments"   # Autoload WiFi driver on boot KERNEL_MODULE_AUTOLOAD:append = "brcmfmac"   IMAGE_INSTALL:append = " ker

I am using below commponet MCU: STM32H7B3IIT6SDRAM: IS45S16800F-7CTLA1-TR  FLASH: MX25LM51245GMI00I am revising the card design according to high speed signals. But how do I calculate the length of the paths to be drawn for SDRAM and FLASH?How many mm and how much impedance should it have?

I am currently using NUCLEO-WL55JC board. However, I could not initialize the logic analyzer. The watch tab works well, but the analyzer window seems not working. And, I have an error at the bottom showing "Trace: No Synchronization". I set the core frequency (4 MHz) as the same as board's frequency (4 MHz) as you see in the watch tab.I checked SWO pin, it is connected. What is your advice?

I need to show a pop-up window when a particular condition satisfies. I created a model window and showed it when the condition satisfies. However, when I have multiple screens, do I have to create this model window each and every screen? Is there a way to create it once and show it no matter whatever screen is currently active? I don't want to change the screen but show the pop-up in current screen itself.

Hello ST community! We're using STM32F401RDT6.We use the RTC to maintain scheduled events that occur in the time we set, but not with the RTC's Alarm mechanism, rather our custom-made mechanism based on the current epoch time which is being updated every ~4 seconds.Between each epoch sampling, the MCU goes to sleep. Here is the rtcEpochGet function we have made:uint32_t rtcEpochGet() { struct tm time_tm; time_t t_of_day;   uint32_t tmp; RTC_TimeTypeDef MyTimeStruct; RTC_DateTypeDef MyDateStruct;   HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &MyTimeStruct, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); HAL_RTC_GetDate(&hrtc, &MyDateStruct, RTC_FORMAT_BIN);   // Read the last epoch time stored in RTC back-up register tmp = HAL_RTCEx_BKUPRead(&hrtc, RTC_BKP_DR19); // Check if the last epoch match to 12:59:56 PM (or later) // If yes - next hour should be 13, not 1 (14 not 2, etc) // if (tmp % 86400 >= 46796 && hrtc.Init.HourFormat == RTC_HOURFORMAT_24 && MyTimeStruct.Hours &lt

1. What happens if TIM2_ARR is 0xFFFF? Does overflow occur when timer counter counts past 0xFFFF?2. What happens to compare output after TIM2 overflows? For example, lets say that the TIM2_CCR1 = 0x7FFF so the output changes state when the counter counts past this value. So what happens to the output when the counter counts past 0xFFFF?

I want to power 5V to the discovery kits through pins 2 and 4 on CN2 connector. Is that ok? Any recommended circuitry?

Following this question, I am also confused about how to fill the key in the CRYP peripheral. I don't find the Ref Manual very clear The register description mentions the key as an array K and an array b where MSB of K are in lowest address register. But it seems to be different in the key registers section of the doc.Basically an AES key would be an array of bytes, and I can't figure out how I fill these bytes in the key registers...

HelloThe STM32G0B1CCU6 running into a hard fault caused by SPI2.After activating EXTI3 at the Pin PB3 (as interrupt) the controller is running into a hard fault. We think, that the hard falut is comming from the SPI-line because the MISO-pin is on the same EXTI-Line!?Note: MISO Pin at SPI2 uses the same EXTI3 - Line.Question:Why runs the controller into the hard fault? Is it, becuase the MISO-Pin is not defined? Is there any restriction about the EXTI3 - Line and using SPI2?Is there any workaround for this issue?thanksRoland

Hello,I just wanted to let you know there is an error in the tamper driver written for Tamper configuration in TF-A fork repository. When enabling an external tamper in passive mode, the configuration is writting the passive mode in the wrong register, disabling the external tamper. This should be written in the atcr1 register but it is being written in the cr1 register.if ((tamp_ext->mode & TAMP_ACTIVE) == TAMP_ACTIVE) { SETBITS(*cr1atcr1, _TAMP_ATCR1_ETAMPAM(id)); } else { CLRBITS(*cr1atcr1, _TAMP_ATCR1_ETAMPAM(id)); }PS: I am not sure this is the right place to put this kind of messages, where should I contact you if I find any other error/bug?Best regards

Hi,I am currently trying to make some changes in the kernel form the latest openstlinux development package v3.1.0. I have one query ; when we compile kernel modules are there still certian modules which do not get compiled?I can see that after compilition I am getting an error for the vermagic for the galckore.ko which does not seem to get compiled with kernel.Even if i have the CONFIG_MODEVERSIONS=y , still i seem to get vermagic error. How do i get past this ? Also how to re-compile this module?

As per information, PCROP configuration has to be cleared on regression of RDP Level from 1 to 0. But on NUCLE-H753ZI evaluation board, PCROP configuration is not clearing on regression. But it is showing as OPTION BYTES Programming successful. Can you please help with this, as we locked on this and not able to program application on to this FLASH protected AREA.@Jocelyn RICARD  Can you help with this ??
