Solved

Hello, this will be a rather advanced problem that I'll be presenting so please bear with me until the end.I'm currently working on I2C communication, with a configuration where I have a controller that initialize 4 STM32g0 on custom PCBs.TL;DR : I want to combine data transmitted from target transmitters by broadcast, using the fact that I2C bus lines are driven low but it doesn't work.Context ----------------------------------------At initialization, the I2C controller (on SoC) will individually set each STM32g0 boards (targets) with a custom ID and two address : a broadcast address, and an individual address (which depends on the ID). This is done with the help of a mux and after this initialization, the mux is always set so that all STM32g0 are connected to the I2C bus.Presently, the controller sends a command to say it will request to read some specific data to each target (STM32g0) individually then reads the data after a repeated start condition.I2C communication presently looks

I have a project that inadvertently appears to have what looks like the bootloader area.I'm using STM32CubeIDE and when I program the board from the IDE, it runs fine and all is ok. If I press the reset button then the board ceases to run.I've duplicated the debug session to allow me to attach while the board is running. After the compiling and programming the board from the IDE. I can see it running as expected and attach the debug session without a problem. If I press the reset button then attach the debug session, I get the following message:Break at address "0x1ff09c94" with no debug information available, or outside of program code.I understand that the main reset part of this area is generally handled via a jump to 0x1ff09800.I'm using an STM32H750 on an in-house developed board. The reset button pulls NRST to ground. I've checked the option bytes against another board that has previously worked ok and they are the same. I've not programmed the other board as I don't want to unne

I'm trying to download Starter Package to microSD card on STM32MP157F-DK2 via USB.I clicked "Open file", selected "FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-trusted.csv", pressed RESET button, clicked "connect" and tried to download. However, STM32CubeProgrammer showed the message "MMC erase failed", or "an error occured while uploading data from the virtual partition 0xF1".Please tell me someone about what shall I do to remove these errors.Note:・Both DIPSW (BOOT0 and BOOT2) are set to OFF. ・I'm using Kingston 16GB microSDHC for downloading.・I want to use the Programmer for WIndows10 not for Linux if possible.

Dear to All,I have a boar with STM32G030J6 and I want use the TIM3 as PWM output (on PB0->TIM3_CH3) using DMA1 channel 3 to transfer data from RAM memory to TIM3_CCR3 register. The problem is that DMA never trigger the interrupt!Here the code:// Setup Pin PB0 in PWM (TIM3_CH3) RCC->IOPENR = 0x0000002F; GPIOB->MODER |= 0x00000003; GPIOB->OSPEEDR |= 0x00000003; GPIOB->AFR[0] &= ~0x0000000F; // Reset Alternate Function AF1 GPIOB->AFR[0] |= 0x00000001; // Alternate Function AF1  // Setup TIM3 per PWM su pi PB0 con DMA RCC->APBENR1 |= 0x00000002; TIM3->CR1 = 0x00000000; TIM3->CR2 = 0; TIM3->ARR = 0x0000003D; TIM3->DIER = 0x00000900; TIM3->EGR =  0; TIM3->PSC = 0x00000005; TIM3->SR = 0; TIM3->CCR3 = 0x0015; TIM3->CCMR2 = 0x0060; TIM3->CCER = 0x00000300; TIM3->CR1 |= 0x00000001;  //DMA RCC->AHBENR |= 0x00000003; DMA1_Channel3->CNDTR = 10; DMA1_Channel3->CPAR = 0x4000043C; DMA1_Channel3->C

I noticed this driver https://github.com/EmcraftSystems/linux-emcraft/blob/master/drivers/rtc/rtc-stm32f2.cIs it possible to configure the stm32g030c8 to be an i2c slave and provide it's RTC to an external system that runs linux and uses this driver? Or do I have to implement a full i2c slave that would emulate another discrete RTC?

Hello, I want to know if there are other platforms like proteus in which I can virtually simulate STM32 MCU and OLED display.STM32 programs are not working in proteus. I just used simple toggle LED program but it is not running on proteus,

Has anyone else seen this?I have never seen such a problem in years of debugging with EWARM and STM32's through sleep modes: using source and project files that debug fine with EWARM 9.20.2, now with 9.20.4, the IAR IDE is hung on the ST LINK driver as shown in the attached screen shot. IDE is unresponsive until I cause an EXTIO to wake the STM32WB from STOP2. I reported this first to IAR, but the engineer responding to me, Dave, keeps asking for logs, and as you can see from the screen shot, nothing interesting is getting logged. so the IAR support seems to be at an impasse.

Dear community, I am facing a weird problem on using the SPI after migrating my codes from STM32F407 to STM32F767.The SPI is configured as slave and interfaces with another STM32F406 MCU as master. The data received by the slave is sometimes shifted by one or two bytes. I am using the CMSIS middleware API. The same source code, when compile for another STM32F406 (which is my original target) runs without problem. I noticed that the Data Register of the SPI (SPIx_DR) is sometimes filled upto the 2nd byte even though Datasize (CR2 DR[0:3]) is set to 8-bit, and MSIZE and PSIZE in DMA are both 0 (BYTE). Comparing with the STM32F4 master the data register is consistently only using the lower 8 bitsI do not have the D_CACHE enabled so I have compiled the CMSIS driver with SPI_DCACHE=0. It has the CRC calculation enabled and it did not report any data corruption on both sides. The master is able to receive the data correctly.

Do the integrated circuits L9823, E-L9823, E-L982301 differ or are they identical? Are they still in production?

When I compile, I get the following error: The float formatting support (-u_printf_float)is not enabled from linker flagsI can't find Linker flags/Options/Settings for C - just for MCU G++ Linker. When I chose the option, it still didn't remove the error. It compiles, though and can be run.

I have been working with STM32H753 device. I was able to boot into the system booltoader of the Nucleo board. Cube Programmer was able to detect and connect through UART.But, I am unable to connect the Cube programmer in our custom board. Both BOOT_ADD0 and BOOT_ADD1 were set to 0x1FF0. After booting, I connected J-Link to verify that the PC is at 0x1FFx series addresses.Looking further, whenver I halt and run the CPU through J-Link, the PC seems to be at address 0x1FF0AAF0 and the CycleCnt is increasing.I am not sure what could be possibly wrong.

I get this message whenever I try generating code with the "Other Toolchains (GPDSC)" in STM32CubeMX:The support of the “Tool chain / IDE? you have selected will be soon discontinued in further STM32CubeMX version. If you want to benefit from further STM32CubeMX evolutions for your project, we advise you to target STM32CubeIDE or other IDE.I'm currently using this option to generate code for my IDE. Is this option being taken away soon? If so, what will my options be other than only using STM32CubeIDE?

I am using the CubeMX to set up a STM32F413 to receive audio signal form the I2S unit 1 . But then I found that the CubeMX do not allow set up of NVIC for unit 1, 4,5 of the I2S. Only unit 2,3 which have full duplex function have NVIC setting. This means one has to do polling to check whether data is received. And then the DMA setting only allow TX, not RX mode. But nothing in the manual RM0430 mentioned that unit 1, 4,5 are different from the unit 2 & 3 in this way. My understanding from the manual is all I2S units can be configured to generate interrupt by TXE or RXNE and DMA is available for both TX and RX.I misunderstood the manual or there is a bug in the CubeMX such that I have to hand code unit 1 of the I2S?

Hello,I'm developing a project where we will be using a ST253916 for a reader/writer device (base station) and a ST25DV type 5 tag (battery powered device). The idea is to transmit data from battery device to the base station. It will be hundred of bytes or so (data from sensors). per day. Both devices are pretended to be paired all night (8 hours). It would be better to use Mailbox and store data through Fast Transfer Mode or NDEF messages written to EEPROM memory? Speed is not important in this use case. It should be a bi-directional (half duplex is okay) communication. I am not sure this can be done through standard NFC NDEF messages.Thank you,Dani

There are many guides available online that explain how to set up DMA with ADC. I followed such a guide in version 1.7 and it worked out of the box. Now I'm trying the same thing in version 1.9 and it won't work. The first thing I noticed that the ADC Clock Prescaler setting seems to be no longer a thing. The last time I set it up, I just chose continuous conversion with a prescaler and everything worked. Even without an timer. These were my settings back then: Note here that it is the same MCU on the same board in the same project. I only updated the cubeIDE.I now tried it with a timer (which is preferred anyway) but this still doesn't work. The timer works as can be seen on the oscilloscope here: The yellow line is the timer, the blue line should have a peak triggered in the convCplt interrupt. DMA is set up with a circular buffer. Here is the setup:https://github.com/TimGoll/masterthesis-lcr_driver/blob/main/Core/Code/Threads/AnalogIn.c#L10-L15https://github.com/TimGoll/maste

Hello,After Migrating my STM32H743ZITx project from CubeMX version 6.4.0 to 6.5.0, ADC stopped working (stucks at ADC_Calibration function).Found out that in v6.5.0 ADC Clock settings were removed for some reason. Please see comparison below: Also compared generated adc.c files. All Pheripheral Clock Init settings are missing.  Is it a bug or a feature? How this problem could be solved using the latest CubeMX version. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am working on project where I need to check if field is falling or rising. I have enabled the filed change interrupt in GPO, which works fine to generate the GPO interrupt. Unfortunately both the interrupt flags for field change interrupt i.e. field falling and field rising interrupt flags are set irrespective of whether reader is moved towards the tag or away from the tag. Is this the general case that both the flags are set on field change interrupt? If not then is there any setting which can be used to control the flag being set?Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm debugging a legacy application on an STM32F407 that uses the std peripheral libraries and LwIP 1.4.1, and except on rare occasions, hardware IPv4 checksums don't work; they all get sent out as zeroes. When I disable hardware checksums in lwipopts.h, I get correct checksums (but at a performance penalty). The application works reliably in all other respects, and we've previously ignored the checksum issue. My development IDE is Keil MDK 5.36.0.0Ethernet link is 100BaseT, fixed IPv4 addressing (no DHCP), with two different PHY chips on different target systems (both systems use the same Ethernet stack code and exhibit the same bug). There are a number of settings that need to be used for this, and after many searches, much reading, and a number of debug sessions, I'm confident I have set them all to the right settings. (I've gone as far as breakpointing the Ethernet transmission when it is about to hand over the Ethernet DMA TX descriptor, and checking the descriptor fields and Ethern

Hi,I am running a system with some STM32WB, one client and some server.Right now i am connecting, pairing and bonding the devices. If i start from a condition where i have all the server not bonded (aci_gap_get_bonded_devices return nothing) and I start the firmware, the client connects, pairs and bonds all the server and all works. If i start from a condition where i have all the server already bonded and I start the firmware, the client connects and rebonds all the server and all works.Instead if i start from a condition where I have some server bonded and others not I have some problems. In particular:If I connects (and pair and bond) before all the not bonded devices and after the bonded devices the system still works. If I connects (and rebond) only one server that was already bonded, all the not bonded server cannot be paired anymore. In particular:I start the firmware, mac address list of the servers is received.the first server is bonded, so i connect it, send a pairing request v

Hello. Is there in way to watch or monitor the registers or receive/transmit buffers in UDE STK when MCU is working? There was a watch or Peripheral Registers windows but nothing similar data received.Would you please help me out with this.Thanks.

Hello,I have a general question regarding the linker script generated by STM32CubeIDE.Most of time the STACK and HEAP is placed together into the "same" internal SRAM (see section .user_heap_stack example for demonstration purpose). Note: Yes, there is a chance that region can overlap, but this is something I don't want to discuss here. ._user_heap_stack : {  . = ALIGN(8);  PROVIDE ( end = . );  PROVIDE ( _end = . );  . = . + _Min_Heap_Size;  . = . + _Min_Stack_Size;  . = ALIGN(8); } > RAM_D1I wanted to place some critical data, static variables, etc as well as the STACK pointer into the DTCRAM area. However, the heap is not used so heavily in our application therefore, I would like put it into a slower region e.g. RAM_D2/3. I guess this should be possible , right ?If I do so, I assume I can ge get rid of the  ". = . + _Min_Stack_Size;"- statement in the linker script as the stack is now decoupled f

Hello, I am able to successfully compile X-CUBE-MEMSMIC1 (version 5.6.0), UltrasoundFFT for STM32L4R9ZI-STWIN (STEVAL-STWINKT1) - as Debug .bin file. However, when I run it on the STWINKT1, the host Utility/GUI (UltrasoundFFT.exe) does not run. It is unresponsive when click the START button. Basically, the utility program hangs.Alternatively, I don't have this problem when I use the compiled code from X-CUBE-MEMSMIC1 (version 5.5.0). It works fine.I am wondering if anyone has tested this project (UltrasoundFFT for STWINKT1) using version 5.6.0? The Release Notes for version 5.6.0 says that "now using new GenericFFT library". I am wondering if there is any bug in this library (GenericFFTLibrary) versus the previous one used in version 5.5.0.( I am using STM32CubeIDE version 1.9.0 on MS Windows 10, x64 PC for compiling.)Thanks for any suggestion,
