After switching to cubeIDE, i was prompted to upgrade the stlink firmware, after doing so the version changed from stlink v2-b to stlink v2 (without the uart functionality)Now i have the v2j40s0 St-link/V2This is on the 32F429IDISCOVERY board. Is it possible to get back the uart functionality, is there a firmware version that contains uart for this discovery board stlink and is compatible with the new toolchain?

This is on a Windows platform. After some crashes (that wiped my code!), I removed and then re-installed STM32CubeIDE. After re-installing, builds don't work. Reason is there is no make executable in the IDEs search path. It is buried in the application directory, but no path to it. Quick and Dirty solution of copying the .exe to a place in the IDEs path didn't solve the issue, just got a different error.I did delete the /ST directory too after un-installing, but still no luck getting make to work. Potentially related, this was part of a big "get everything updated" push that included updating to latest Atollic tools (9.3.0), STM32CubeMX (5.2.1) and latest Java too. Not very interesting, but here is the error message:08:31:17 **** Clean-only build of configuration Debug for project CAN_Input **** make clean Cannot run program "make": Launching failed   Error: Program "make" not found in PATH PATH=[C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.0.0/STM32CubeIDE/jre/bin/server;C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.0.0/STM32

Hello, I am looking to include USB audio streaming, this package looks perfect for handling a lot of the functionality. Just wondering if there are any guides on how to add this to a .ioc STM32CubeIde project for a different part than those in the Example applications. (STM32L475RG)

For a STM32F105 project I have ADC1 configured with13 regular conversion channels.The problem is I only get the first reading and the rest of the buffer stays empty.It seems the pointer to the buffer array is not correct or the DMA is not incrementing to the next index.I declared a buffer variable for the ADC readings./* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ #define ADC_BUFFER_SIZE 13 uint16_t ADCvalue[ADC_BUFFER_SIZE];In the main I start ADC with DMA and the timer 2 channel 2 PWM/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ // Start the ADC1 if (HAL_ADC_Start_IT(&hadc1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   if (HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)&ADCvalue, ADC_BUFFER_SIZE) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   // Calibrate The ADC On Power-Up For Better Accuracy if (HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   // Start timer 2 CC2 trigger for ADC1 if (HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_2) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }And in the while loop I try

Hello ST Community,I am currently working with the STM32F723ICT6. This has according to the datasheet (added as image) a flash capacity of 256 KBytes. While flashing with the STM32CubeProgrammer, which confirms the 256 KBytes flash capacity, I generated a file with an exact size of 512 KBytes with random content and tried to flash it to the start address 0x0800 0000. My expectation was that this might not work, but the flashing was successful anyway. As proof I read 512 KBytes from the same start address via CubeProgrammer using the STLink and compared the checksum of the generated file and it was identical. Consequently the 512 KBytes were flashed completely. Do I have a mistake or is the flash capacity of the STM32F723IC identical to the STM32F723IEXX? Consequently it would be wrong documented.

Hi all,I have a question concerning the duration of float multiplication on the STM32F4. As far as I know, the chip has an FPU.I run the following code snippetfloat LagCompensator_process(LagCompensator_instance* S, float input) {   S->x2 = input;   LL_GPIO_SetOutputPin(GPIOC, LL_GPIO_PIN_8);   S->y1 = S->p1 * (-S->p2 * S->y1 + S->p3 * S->x2 + S->p4 * S->x1 ); LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin(GPIOC, LL_GPIO_PIN_8); S->x1 = S->x2;   return S->y1;   }The duration between the Pin Set and Reset is about 170ns. The processor runs on 180MHz.I find the 170ns for 4 Multiplications pretty long. However, it is with float variables. Can anybody comment on this? Do I have to activate the FPU somewhere in the Project? In the project properties, you can findThanks in advance for your help!

Hello,I noticed there is a way to print to a console from the simulator using touchgfx_printf, I'm wondering if it's possible to read in characters also?I noticed the comment in Utils.hpp:The console window is used to print to using touchgfx_printf(), printf() or std::cout, * and read from using e.g. fgets() or std::cin. Alternatively, instead of using * printf(), simply use touchgfx_printf() which will ensure there is a console to write * to. After the first call to touchgfx_printf(), it will also be possible to read from * stdin. This would be useful to replace parts of the code where I am waiting on a message queue, instead I could do the following, pseudocode:if SIMULATOR wait on character input x from console do action based on key inputelse wait on OS message queue do action based on messageMy understanding is that FreeRTOS is not used for the simulator, so this would be a useful way to imitate other system tasks sending messages to the GUI. This would allow me

I could successfully load and read images (ExtFlashFection)in QSPI but when it comes to font and text it doesn't work... I use stm32f767+qspi+sdram+keil environment... and you see the .sct file and my project here.can anybody help me?? internal flash runs out of space because of fonts and text and I don't know what to do... thank you in advance.

I'm using STM32H747I-DISCO board to test. I connected OTG adapter and USB disk to CN1 (OTG HS) port.In my STM32CubeIDE I have USB_OTG_FS enabled and configured. The software initialized the driver (successfully), then I try to mount my USB disk and I get FR_DISK_ERR.I checked in the documentation, that the LD7 should indicate the VBUS voltage presence. The LED is off, so I guess I don't have VBUS voltage. Why is that?Is this related to the USB_HOST settings?Especially I'm interested in Drive_BUS_FS pin. I found nothing in documentation on what pin I should connect it to. I just selected a random free pin and configured it as GPIO output. But it does not help. The LD7 is still off, my USB disk is not mounted. What am I doing wrong here?

I'm developing an STM32WB55 microcontroller but I'm straggling with programming.I want to control the microcontroller using its BLE module but there is no good programming example. So, is there any recommendable example to write the memory of the microcontroller using BLE communication?

In the case of normal wake-up, about 6~7 mA current is consumed and 100~250uA is consumed when going into stop mode.Sometimes, it cannot wake up from stop mode when it consumes about 1.6 to 1.7 mAHere is my code:HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT(&hrtc, g_sleep_time, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_CK_SPRE_16BITS);   HAL_SuspendTick();   HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);   HAL_ResumeTick();   HAL_RTCEx_DeactivateWakeUpTimer(&hrtc);   SystemClock_Config();I attached schematic.plz, help me.

Hey,i use the STM32H757-EVAL Board and was already able to create a new project in TouchGFX (4.20.0), import it to STM32CubeIDE (1.10.1) and modify GUI and Hardware functionality. In order to have more flexibility and to setup a more clean project, i wanted to create the initial project in the CubeIDE, add the TouchGFX Software Pack and only then start using the TouchGFX Designer for GUI creation. My problem is now, that after generating the CubeIDE project and importing the "ApplicationTemplate.touchgfx.part" file in the designer, the code generation always fails. The logfile says, that the post Generate Target is unable to locate the /.cproject file. The file is located in the "Project_name/CM7" folder. Modifying the Build setting of the "Post Generate Target Command" to the specific file location didn't help unfortunately.Maybe someone here has also encountered this little problem before. Thanks!

Is it possible to use X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1 with a microchip processor and how would I go about doing so? I have configured all of the pins on the microchip processor but can't seem to find any documentation on how to communicate with the NFC06A1 besides the examples given by ST. I know I need to use SPI and I have the microcontroller configured for SPI but not sure what to do from there.I am very green in the world of electronics and would appreciate any help that can be offered. Thanks in advance, I know the question is broad.

When we tried the shutdown command ( shutdown -hP now ) from the debug console, all the PMIC regulators are turned off, except for the BUCK3 VDD regulator used for IO.Both our custom board which uses STPMIC1E and the STM32MP157F-eval board which has STPMIC1A have the same behavior. Is there any configuration which is not letting it to be turned off?Any help is much appreciated.

Hello everybody,I am actually a PC software developer, but would like to be able to update the firmware of the hardware we have developed with our own software. For this purpose I have downloaded the "en.stm32cubeprog_v2-5-0.zip" and installed the Windows version on a Windows 10 (64 Bit) PC.I tried the example "1 example with UART bootloader" from the STM-API.This also works very well under Windows 10/64-bit.(A Windows 10 with 32 bit is unfortunately not available to me for testing)But when testing it with Windows 7 (32 / 64 Bit, both the same effect) I get an error when calling the API-function"connectDfuBootloader".Code:   if ((usbConnectFlag = connectDfuBootloader(dfuList[0].usbIndex)) == 0)   ...The value in "usbConnectFlag" is then equal to "-5", which according to the API description "STM32CubeProgrammer_API.chm" means something like:"Operation not supported or unimplemented on this interface".When using the original GUI-programm of STM it works on Wi

Hi, I really have much exprience with many STM32 products (STM32H7, STM32F4, STM32L, STM32G0, STM32G4).Typically for first board check of new PCB I use ST-Link.I have a weird problem, that my ST-LINK refuses to connect to STM32G491 devices (neither on my own PCBs, nor for Nucleo-G491).If I resolder the controller to STM32G473, then connect works fine. Also Nucleo-G474 connect works fine in ST-Link.Is there anything special to do to connect to STM32G491? (Nucleo-G491 ... I have two such boards, both refuse to connect, but LED blinking all fine... same as G474).

I have STM32WB55 nucleo pack. The installation of STM32CubeProgrammer brought two tools STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI.exeSTM32MP_SigningTool_CLI.exe. Following instruction https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Signing_tool, a sample of signing command:./STM32MP_SigningTool_CLI -bin /home/User/BinaryFile.bin –pubk /home/user/publicKey.pem –prvk /home/user/privateKey.pem –iv 5 –pwd azerty –la 0x20000000 –ep 0x08000000What the load address and entry point for my STM32WB55 nucleo board?

Hello,I have borrowed an STM32F429I-DISC1 with 2.4" QVGA TFT LCD.Unfortunately, I fumbled it and cracked the screen.I'd like to fix it for my friend, but don't want to start tinkering if it'll cause a problem.Does anyone have experience in replacing these screens, if it's at all possible?Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I have a board with an STM32L0 part that uses an 8MHz MEMS oscillator as the external clock source. I recently observed that using the Crystal/Ceramic option appears to make the SYSCLK run at half the expected rate. Using the correct BYPASS option produces the expected SYSCLK frequency. I thought the BYPASS option simply frees up the clock out pin for use as a GPIO. Other boards I've made with F4 and G4 parts seem to maintain the same SYSCLK for both Crystal/Ceramic and BYPASS configurations. Obviously this is not a problem, I was just curious about the observed behavior and couldn't find more detailed information about this in the datasheets.

I am working on an existing project based on the STM32H750 where I want to stop overheating by reducing the CPU frequency.Currently I use 400MHz and I want to lower it to 200MHz. I have peripherals (LCD and SPI flash) as well as timers (TIM1,2,5) that are affected by this change. My question is which adaptions to the Timers and possibly the initialization of LCD, ext. flash I have to make when changing the CPU frequency? Is there a lower limit for the LCD bus frequency for example? For the timers I adapted the prescalers but that doesn't do the job yet. Hi,I'm using the STM32H743 device.my main loop sends nonstop UDP messages perfectly.I decided that I want to add a debug option that when my code has an issue and it stuck in one of the handlers (such as "HardFault_Handler") endless loops, he will send a nonstop special UDP message that indicates that a problem occurred from within the handler endless loop.I wrote the code, but I see no udp message, when I used the IDE debug option I notice the code is stalling inside the HAL_ETH_Transmit method under the loop "/* Wait for data to be transmitted or timeout occurred */".any idea why in the main loop the udp messages were sent with no problem and under the Handlers it stalls? do I need to initialize something before sending it?pls, help!thank you !!

Hi,I am using nordic MCU to operate LSM303AGR magnetometer device. My goal is to get a Z-axis interrupt upon crossing the pre-calibrated threshold. The i2c write and reads are working fine.INT bit of register 64h (INT_SOURCE_REG_M) is responding when getting a magnet nearby (when polling this register), yet the interrupt pin stays low all the time (verified with a logic analyzer).MCU pin is configured as input without pullup. The following register writes are being performed by the firmware:1. Write 00h in CFG_REG_A_M // Turn on the magnetometer // ODR = 10 Hz 2. Write 40h in CFG_REG_C_M // Interrupt driven on INT_MAG/DRDY pin 3. Write 80h in INT_THS_L_REG_M // Set a threshold equal to 128 (expressed in LSB)   Write 00h in INT_THS_H_REG_M 4. Write E7h in INT_CTRL_REG_M // Enable a latched active-high interrupt on the three axesWe tried to set the INT_CTRL_REG_M to 0x25 and the CFG_REG_C_M to 0x41 and still no change in the pin reading. Can you please hel
