HiI'm new to STM32, I'm jumping from Arduino, and I'm out of my depth, perhaps I can humbly ask for some help.I've done basic projects with the Nucleo board, and I wanted to give a try with a simple code on a barebone chipI have this STM32F401CBU6 on UFQFPN-48, mounted on a Proto-Advantage SMT to Breadboard adapter, naked, just the MCU, no decoupling capacitors, pull-down resistors, etc., just naked.I intend to put it on my breadboard, power it with a 3.3V Power Supply, and program it to blink a LED.The code will be written with the CubeIDE and loaded via a Nucleo 64 reference board UM1724, which has an integrated STLink that according to the documentation, can be decoupled for the onboard STM32 target (by removing some header pins) and then used to program an external STM32 via SWDChapter 3.13 of the IC F401xB datasheet (that is the external MCU I'm using) talks about the power scheme, and I was wondering:To just power on the MCU and receive SDW program, do I need to provide power to

I am using an 8MHz crystal HSE, and the application (MBED) is able to use CAN, USB, UART, etc properly, so the timing for the HSE is setup correctly. When I try to use the HSE as a source for MCO1 or MCO2 however, it does not work, I get no output. If I use the HSI on MCO1 or the PLLCLK on MCO2, I get the expected frequencies, but nothing on HSE. I am using an ABM3B-8.000MHZ-10-1-U-T (10pF) crystal with 15pF load caps, is that relevant at all?

Hi,Chapter 30 in RM0454 (page 980) is missing the information about the unique device identifier. It is very well described in the F0 RM0091, and I would like the same level of information to be added in the next revision of RM0454.For the time being, can I suppose that I can follow F0 UID for G0 ?Thank you very much.

Hi , After pin selection and configuration when I try to generate code for keil it does not allow me to change the IDE in project setting, how can I do that?

Hello, I am working with a SPC560P and have a problem with float numbers. As soon as I write a calculation with float numbers in my loop, the loop becomes extremely slow (microsecond range for a simple calculation in the loop). What can be the reason for this?Do I have to activate or set anything else and if so where? Please help me Thanks Timo Blessing

I want to know when or how exactly the RX callback function is triggered on the SPC560P - Disp Discovery board. I have created the function at the low level driver at the serial configuration and see it also in serial_lld_cfg. I have defined it afterwards. I want to work in asynchronous mode to avoid blocking. I can also receive single bytes with the function sd_lld_read(). But the callback function is never called or executed. what is the reason? Actually I would like to receive more than just one byte which is why I want to use the callback function as an interrupt. Can anyone help me here? Thanks Timo

Hi,how does it work to create a static library for a dual core processor? While starting under CubeIDE with "New Project", the point "Static Library" is not usable, for instance, when use the STM32H745 (M4 & M7 Core). Is an application note available, how to do it?Thanks,Jan

Hi, I'm using STM32F767NGHXX for a project. It is mandatory for me to use USART3 and UART7. I want to use both uarts with DMA transmissions but this 2 uarts use the same DMA Streams. Other option could be use one with DMA and the other use normal UART Functions. The problem is that one of the requirements for this project is to use as less blocking functions as possible, so DMA functions are better in this case as long as they use less the micro. Therefore I'm trying to deInit both UARTs + DMA and reInit them with or without DMA config (depending on which UART needs to transmit, it will be using the DMA that time), but I'm not able to make it working. Once I link one Uart to the DMA at the beginning of my code, it would be the only one that I could use with DMA. (Once the Chanell is selected for a DMA Stream, it seems to not be possible to Change)Know anyone how to make this change in the Selected Chanell in the DMA Stream)?Or Is it impossible and have I to use one UART with DMA and the

I would like to clear up some confusion regarding the DSI VIO, the stm32mp157a datasheet mentions "1.2 V I/O for DSI interface" but in the EV1 kit the LCD used (the RK055AHD042-CT, for which it's impossible to find a datasheet for, could that be shared too?) uses the RM68200 driver which seems to require 1.8V for IO.The LCD I would like to use also requires 1.8V so I'm wondering if I need a high-speed voltage translator or will the STM32MP1 support my LCD?

Referring to "mapping_sbsfu.h" file of the example "2_Images_OSC" of STM32f769I-Discovery, seems the DTCM and SRAM2 are not used in the project. So does it have a reason?

Hi allI have recently changed my computer, and reinstall STVD for the development of STM8 applicaiton.using cosmic compiler. In my old computer, I used to set up breakpoint by just double clicking the very left column (where line number appears) at the statement of the source code viewer, and a red dot appears making the breakpoint set. with my new computer, that does not work, clicking the mouse at the left column does not have any effect to set breakpoint. The alternative way is the right click popup and select insert/remove breakpoint. Is there any one out there having the same problem, and any way in settings to enable this feature?RgdsCalvin

Hi TeamI want to know the difference between X-CUBE-AI and NanoEdge AI Studio for ML and AI development environment. Can I do the same thing with either dev environment? Are there any restrictions on the devices used?

There used to be a flowchart showing all the ways of programming the STM32H7 series through various ports including SPI, UART, etc, showing the order they are checked. But I can't seem to find it anymore. Can anybody point me at it please ?

Hello guys.Im a little confused about dma functionality. My question is that if dma controller can start a peripheral or it just can move data from the peripheral to memory. For example when using adc with dma:Is it dma that start the conversion and moving data from adc to memory or when we start the conversion by software (or timer trigger for examole) its the EOC flag that start the dma transfer procedure? In case of spi and dma if we dont want any cpu usage how would it work? In adc there is a connection between timer trigger out and adc that starts the adc by hardware but in spi i didnt see any. Am i able to use a dma stream that is connected to timer update channel request to transfer data without cpu starting spi transmit?

Anyone know  STM32H7 (STM32H743) support usb gadget ethernet?I read somewhere STM32F7 does, but not sure about STM32H7Many thanks.

We need STM32 MCU types for use in medical instruments. Does ST have Medical grade STM32 MCU's? It must be recommended for new design with long life time.

The ProblemA TextArea with one wildcard is used to display a floating point number centered in its field. When a larger number is overwritten with a smaller number, the new number is centered in the TextArea, but a “residue? of the previous, larger number, remains visible on both sides. The issue is seen in the GUI of a client project for an industrial meter and process monitor, and is reproduced here in it's own TouchGFX Designer project which runs in the Simulator.Simple ScreenThe project includes a single screen with a white background, and three additional objects:A blue Flex Button (setBtn), labeled “Set 1.0?A single-wildcard TextArea (numberText( with initial setting “345.67?A red Box background (numberBgd) to the TextArea.Screen AppearanceTextAreaThe TextArea (numberText) is of fixed width, non-autosize, includes a buffer with a 16 character size. and has an initial setting og 345.67: Text ResourceThe text resource (numberDisp) specifies the default font, centered display

Hello, I am inquiring about USART communication using DMA. I am following github.com/MaJerle/stm32-usart-uart-dma-rx-tx tutorial using the low level drivers for a STM32L432. I have reception working with no troubles and I believe my interrupts are being hit okay. However, I am having trouble with transmission, simplifying the code from the tutorial I can't seem to get the USART to actually start transmitting the data. When I check the size of the DMA buffer it says it is full of 32 bytes, then when I start channel it never empties. Apologies if this is simple, but I've tried numerous combinations with no success. Thank you.

Hello, I many years use STM32, but first time when I ran into a problem.I can not compile the code STM32CubeIDE (same and TrueStudio). I pushed the button and nothing happen, I don't have any error, so I can not understand why I have a problem.Initially, the project was created in CubeMX6.6.1 for STM32CubeIDE (same and TrueStudio). In the image, you can see, I added a variable and pushed the build, and nothing - Nothing to build for project

At ST25RU3993-HPEV firmware how to control an antenna distance? For eg. I want an antenna to read tags in 3ft only.

Hi all,I purchased the nucleo-stm32g474 board and the z-nucleo-USBPDM1. I would like to use the USB port to communicate with the computer at speed (HIGH SPEED). I am unable to find an example of how to do this and how to communicate with the microcontroller.I will only add that I have run an example that works: github x-cube-tcpp/I would be very grateful for your help.Regards
