Hello everyone, I'm using BLE_Ota application for STM32WB55 (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWB/tree/master/Projects/P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo/Applications/BLE/BLE_Ota) I can able to run the code successfully. In the OTA code, it erases the flash by Delete_Sectors function in App_BLE_Init. So, it means that the flash is erased when switching the OTA mode. However, I want to erase the flash only when the upload process is started and if the user doesn't start to upload new firmware in 2 mins, exit the OTA mode and switch back to the application.Could you please help me how to do?Best regards.Serhat.

I am trying to use SWV viewer but in Debugger option, there is no SWV options available. Is it because of some faulty pin configuration? Because i ran a blink led program and it's working fine. Just the SWV, i cannot enable.

Hi,I'm trying to control a LTE module (sim7600e) using an AEK-MCU-C4MLT1 with a serial protocol (UART). The goal is to transmit a simple AT COMMAND, by following these simple steps:Receive "PB DONE" by the LTE moduleTransmit the AT commandReceive an "OK"I have built a simple state machine in order to follow these simple steps, and I attach the code at the bottom.I have done 3 tests to see if the code works properly:1st: Connecting the Chorus 4M to the pc, using a USB adapter, and testing the code with docklight, by sending the responses manually (PB DONE and OK). In this case the code works and it is possible to see that the code enters in all the states.2nd: By trying to execute the exact same code with a NUCLEO F446RET6 connected to the LTE module. The communication works perfectly, without a single error.3rd: By connecting the Chorus to the NUCLEO and using this one's UART to send the responses, also this approach works very well. Then I tried to connect the Chorus 4M

Hi, I want to use STM32 Nucleo example "STM32F072_MB1303_DRP_SRCING_DEVICE" on my board that include 1x STUSB1602 + 1x STM32F072CBU6 (48-UFQFPN).(the example works with STUSB1602 + STM32F072RB (LQFP64))-What will be the easiest way to port the example to my board??modify the example or creating a new project and coping the relevant example files? Thanks,Maor

Hi! I'm using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.10.0 under Windows 10 Pro 21H2 x64 (Build 19044.1766) and when starting to flash devices in automatic mode, CubeProgrammer flashes normally the 1st device with messages only in the log, but starting with 2nd and further it outputs not only the log, but also a bunch of pop-up messages such as "Download verified successfully", "File download complete" etc. See the screenshot below. They all stackup on top of each other and it's impossible to use the software unless you close them all. One can certainly hold the Enter key to close them all really fast, but it is still very annoying.

Hi,When I power on my STM32MP157A-DK1 board, ST-LINK LED (LD4) is always red. On my Linux system when I connect the board through ST-LINK micro usb port (CN11), it is only detected as 'STM32 Virtual ComPort', and not detected as StLink device. And when I boot Linux, no activity on STM32 Virtual ComPort (/dev/ttyACM0).It seems that there is an issue with on-board StLink.Do you think this is a firmware issue that can be fixed or a hw issue? Thanks,Fatih

The SBSFU framework allows users to employ multiple image signing keys, ECCKEY1, ECCKEY2, and ECCKEY3.Is there a method to blacklist ECCKEY1 and replace it with ECCKEY4, which may be transmitted via a key replacement update package if the private key for ECCKEY1 is leaked/compromised?Keys are compiled into code and stored in the SE Key region ROM, which is secured by MPU-RX + WRP + PCROP.Please advise what options I have to replace the key which is compromised?Assuming bootloader enhanced to differentiate between .sfb and key replacement package.

Hello,I am new to STM32 MCU and right now using a 170MHz STM32G474 MCU for my project. I did a test today and found out the float number calculation speed of the MCU is quite slow.It takes 6.3us to finish the calculation in Fig.1. (I set a GPIO pin high before the calculation starts and set it to low after the calculation). ADC_Value[] is integer and the rest variables are float. The speed is just too slow to believe. The clock is set to be 170MHz. Am I missing something in the project setting (shown in Fig2 and Fig3)? Is this the real calculation speed for the MCU? I know that in TI C2000 DSP, we can include a Scalar Factor Optimizer Library header to speed up the float calculation (SFO_V8.h). Does the STM32 DSP have the similar headers? Thanks.

I found some bugs in the CubeMX generated code.Does it forget reset the `state` after SDIO DMA TX? when I query the TX state by `HAL_SD_GetState` always get wrong result. Dose SDIO DMA mode forget clear the transition state to SD card? when erase the block after a DMA read, it always failed, I have to put a `HAL_SD_Abort` after RX finished. The follow code blocks forget `__DSB` sync instruction in function `HAL_NAND_Read_Status`, My MCU is stm32f746ig which with data cache, the origin version of code makes the MCU infinite loop.

The description for HAL_GetTickFreq says/** * @brief Return tick frequency. * @retval tick period in Hz */It returns 1 when the tick frequency is 1kHz. The period would be .001 seconds and the frequency would be 1000 Hz. Based on the typedef below, I'm not even sure what the units really are, but the description is clearly wrong.typedef enum{ HAL_TICK_FREQ_10HZ     = 100U, HAL_TICK_FREQ_100HZ    = 10U, HAL_TICK_FREQ_1KHZ     = 1U, HAL_TICK_FREQ_DEFAULT   = HAL_TICK_FREQ_1KHZ} HAL_TickFreqTypeDef;

I have STM32F407VG board and it has error in flashing time see screen. I have STM32F407VG board, and it has error in flashing time see screen. Yesterday was everything ok but today is broken, I don't know why!I found a solution https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000V0NbvSAF/got-error-like-stlink-error-devtargetnothalted-when-to-flash-the-program but my board doesn't have a pin "VDD", see screen. And second, misunderstanding what is mean "(hope you are using boot selection through Boot 0)."?

When creating a new project in the STM32CubeIDE for a STM32F103C8 (64k flash, 20k ram), the generated linker-script contains:/* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = ORIGIN(RAM) + (LENGTH(RAM) / 2); /* end of "RAM" Ram type memory */   _Min_Heap_Size = 0x200; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x400; /* required amount of stack */   /* Memories definition */ MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 20K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 64K }This places the stack (_estack) at 0x20005000 = 0x20000000 + 20k. When checking the memory at (_estack - 1) via the debugger, it can't be read. So while startup the STM32 immediately goes into a hard fault.In fact, the last readable address is 0x200027ff, which suggests, that the address is actually in words rather than bytes : 0x20000000 + 10k = 0x20002800.Changing the line to_estack = ORIGIN(RAM) + (LENGTH(RAM) / 2); /* end of "RAM" Ram type memory */places the stack at 0x20002800 and fixes

Could someone to give a link to an "Linker Code" about which is mentioned in paragraph 12 in this tutorial https://community.st.com/s/article/how-to-add-your-spi-flash-into-the-stm32cubeprogrammer-external-loader-part1

Hello,I'd like to learn more and understand how to create project that will work with code in internal and (or only in) external Flash ?Examples in CubeH7 seems to be set to address of external Flash memory. Thanks in advance, regards.

I need help in implementing a solution. I'd like to implement a system that measures elapsed time (ET) between two digital input (DI) pulses. These two signals will be on different channels. There are 4 sets of signal, therefore I need to measure four things: ET(0) = DI(0) -> DI(1), ET(1) = DI(2) -> DI(3), ET(2) = DI(4) -> DI(5), ET(4) = DI(6) -> DI(7).The counting should be between positive edges, resolution should be in microseconds, maximum time will be <= 2s. Each of the measurements should reset on DI(x) and store on DI(x+1). It is possible that multiple DI(x) will occur before DI(x+1) therefore ET will always be the measurement between DI(x+1) and the last DI(X)I first implemented a solution with a raspberry pi pico. That solution implemented an interrupt on each of the digital input channels that triggered on a positive transition. The interrupt handler essentially queues up the DI index and a 64bit microsecond tick count on a pre initialized queue. The super loop

i had USB Host MSC working on H743 (devE board) , read USB sticks 1...64 GB without problem;now, after try to make USB Audio Host on second (HS) usb port, which is not running until now (there is no working example by STM - and no plan to do this (!) ) , access to usb stick no more working; and i have no idea, why ...or what i did wrong.i installed SWV , to see more info, this is coming, when debug level on usb is set :obviously usb stick is enumerated, can read size and directory, but when read data (16KB) it hang up in some usb BOT loop or USB_busy state. anybody knows, what i should do now, to get it running again?+ maybe , howto get audio host running?

Hi,today i got a STM32G0316-DISCO and totally forgot to setup serialwire. All Pins except PIN6 where configured as GPIO-Output. No i can't connect to the MCU. I tried most of the hints regarding "connect under reset" but no success. I had also one try with my J-Link, but no success. Is it possible to use JTAG to get it back working?thanksPeter

Hello, I have a spare STM32F427ZI MCU. Can I replace F429ZI with F427ZI? Please suggest some other possible replacements for F429ZI.

I am using the STM32L4S9AII6 clocked at 120MHz. This device is being used as a slave to a master that is clocked at a much higher frequency. They communicate over the SPI1 bus. I am trying to optimize the rate of communication between these two devices. How do I validate that the SPI transmit API call has TX data sent to the SPI peripheral and is ready for master get it? I need to set a flag (GPO pin) to the master when the slave has finished processing a command and is ready for another command. When I try to set this "finished processing" flag immediately after the HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_IT() API call the master sends the next command and attempts to retrieve requested data from the last command simultaneously. However, most often the slave misses the deadline and the data that was intended to be sent to the master doesn't show up until the next command cycle. Obviously the MCU is not able to get the data to the SPI peripheral fast enough before the master comes asking for this data

Most of the target status seem to return 5 but some do return 255.The data is correct on all 64pixels when I have a near object (200mm) but it cannot detect further objects like the ceiling and instead it will return a seemingly random small distance that keeps constant and fluctuates a bit arboud its value.I'm on the esp32 with other I2C devices on the bus. Thanks in advanceEdit: It does not seem to be working for distances over 255mmLucoreds

Hi all, I'm new to this STM32 community.I have a small problem: I bought some STM32G0P0.. for my project, also making the PCB and the rest. But after soldering the various components, I try to program one and see that the level 2 protection is active, I try to program another and there is the same thing. What I see from the STM32 St-LINK program is that only some memory pages have protection, while others don't, but then going to view the memory areas I see that they have all been set to FFFFFFFF.Below I can see that the memory on the address 0x08001400 is free, but..  ..here I see that is protected! How can I program it? My question now is: what the hell do I do? Do I ask for a return? Is this a normal thing of STM32G0...? Trying to write a bootloader that makes me jump from one address to another when the memory to read is full?Thank you for your availability and attention

The STLINK-V3SET Suggest the following connector for one of the three cables included with it: Samtec ASP-203799-02. However, I cannot find this connector on Samtec or any corner of the internet other than the STLINK User manual. Where do you get this connector?I see others have asked this question without a response.
