Solved

I have a board based on the STM32L4R9 Discovery board. A key difference is that my board has Micron external flash (MT35XL512ABA1G12-0SIT) rather than Macronix (MX25LM51245GXDI0). The ST-LINK programmer fails to erase my flash, presumably because the OCTOSPI timings are different. It appears I have to build a custom external loader as I don't see one in https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-external-loader.I am struggling to find the necessary timing data for the Micron flash. Has anyone done this already?

In NFC06A1_PollingTagDetect sample project, the function demoTransceiveBlocking blocks forever when in card emulation mode.Using the sample project NFC06A1_PollingTagDetect in X-CUBE-NFC6 Software for STM32 and try the card emulation mode. Sometimes, the demoTransceiveBlocking( ) function does not return, if an android phone (NFC reader) is removed away from the antenna. Basically, the program stays in RFAL_NFC_STATE_DATAEXCHANGE state with err = ERR_BUSY in this scenario. Is this any better way to identify that the phone (NFC reader) is remove away from the NFC06A1? By adding a timeout etc... ? I notice that it gives ERR_LINK_LOSS when the phone gets close to the NFC06A1 again. Can we get this error message right away when the link is loss and the RF field is gone?

Hello, I 'm working on porting the RFAL for a ST25R3916B application. I read through the description of platformProtectST25RComm() but I just wanted to clarify: is this disabling all interrupts on the MCU so that nothing will mess up the SPI communication, or is this disabling the interrupt line coming from the ST25R3916B?

I am using the Audio Playback and record exaample.I modified Systeem_clock_config as follos /* Enable HSE Oscillator and activate PLL with HSE as source */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_LSI | RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSEState = RCC_HSE_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_LSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLM = 8; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLN = 336; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLP = RCC_PLLP_DIV2; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLQ = 7; if (HAL_RCC_OscConfig(&RCC_OscInitStruct) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }Then ran the RTC config from a Cube generated source My main is stubbed out to do the following SystemClock_Config();   /* Initialize MEMS Accelerometer mounted on STM32F4-Discovery board */ if(BSP_ACCELERO_Init() != ACCELERO_OK) { /* Initialization Error */ Error_Handler(); } MemsID = BSP_ACCELERO_ReadID(); // RTC does not initi

In the User Manual UM2435  for Nucleo STM32 provided the next schematic But in PCB we see the next I think that the next schematic is actual, is it correct?

Is it possible to run touchgfx on the STM32MP1?   TouchGfx can be run on the STM32F4 with the M4 core. Is this also possible on the M4 core of the MP1?   Is there any support from ST or has anyone already implemented this?

I'm using STM32MX Cube to assign pins for different features.I have a lot of communication ports and GPIO:s enabled in my STM32H750.I have prototype 1 working, I noticed that when I add for instance an extra I2C other pins move without notice. For instance, LTDC RGB pin R0 moves to another pin on STM32.I have also seen that LTDC is disabled suddenly wihtout any notice.Quesiton. Is it possible to lock current pins in STM32MX cube?Else How do I see all pins that changed when I add a new I2C? is there any log file? This is a bit stupid from my point of view. And it may cause a lot of issues in next revision of this board if I dont tanke my time and check all 240 pins...Thanks,

Hi ST community,Currently we are trying to use the LSM6DSO (6 Axis MEMS sensor) in our project. We were able to successfully test the LSM9DS1 (9 Axis MEMS sensor) using the ST Adapter board STEVAL-MKI159V1 and we had no issues communicating with it and were also getting very good results. For this adapter board, we connected:-Vdd = 3.3v-VddIO = 3.3v-SDO = SPI MISO-SDA = SPI MOSI-SCL = SPI clock-CS = SPI chip select (Negated)And ofcourse the Ground pin as wellAnd whenever we send the command 0x8F to read the WHO_AM_I register (Register address 0x0F) via SPI we get the correct response back which was 0x68 from the accelerometer/gyroscope module and 0x3D from the magnetometer. And these are the correct values that are described the LSM9DS1 datasheet. Now we trying to communicate with the LSM6DSO (using ST Adapter board STEVAL-MKI196V1), by doing the same exact connections like the LSM9DS1.-Vdd = 3.3v-VddIO = 3.3v-SDO = SPI MISO-SDA = SPI MOSI-SCL = SPI clock-CS = SPI chip select (Negated)And

Hi,I am trying to add new folders in CubeIDE and get them compiled.Taking STM32CubeU5 as an example.I imported a GPIO example, under the file tree, it will show:--include--Application --Startup --User--Drivers --BSP --CMSIS --STM32U5xx_HAL_DriverNow, what I want to do is to change the folders under Application folder:--Application --api --inc --src --test --inc --src (contains main.c) In order to make this structure work, how do I modify the project settings?Thank you for the help

I have a board Nucleo WB55 and I'm configuring PWM on channel 1 of TIM2.I know is possible configure PWM Mode 1 also on channels configured as Output Compare, but CubeIDE not allow set this configuration, I think is an issue.I changed the init code with TIM_OC_MODE_PWM1 and works.

Hello,I am working on a custom board design and we are looking into using the STM32H7B3IIT6 or the STM32H7B3IIT6Q. The main difference I've seen between the two is the Q-version removes some of the IOs to add an SMPS. I am trying to determine if that is necessary for my project and the documentation I'm finding doesn't really explain its necessity. It simply mentions how to use it. My application is not ultra-low power by any means. We have a large battery bank that powers the MCU and the MCU's power consumption is VERY negligible for our application, so MCU efficiency is not mandatory.Based on that, would that mean that we do not require SMPS? Or is there other benefits or things to consider?

hello!USB Clock Not surport PLLI2SQ?

HiI have a STM32H747I-DISCO boardI want to test NOR Flash ( MT25QL512ABB8ESF-0SIT ) with Quad SPII didnot find an example code for it.Can I get an example code for NOR Flash with IOC file.

This is really a basic question, but nevertheless I haven't found an answer.I am confused primarily about visualization of PB8 and PG10 pins inside CubeIDE MX.When I create new project I would expect PB8 and PG10 looking "yellow" and also being defined as PB8-BOOT0 and PG10-NRST (second picture from web). The problem is that they don't look yellow, but grey (first picture from my new project). I also can't choose BOOT0 or NRST function for those pins.Am i wrong, if I assume that because they are grey, they are in their reset state and their reset state is: PB8-BOOT0 and PG10-NRST. Therefore there will not be any functional problem, as I want to have PB8-BOOT0 and PG10-NRST functionality. And the color mismatch is just some MX bug/new feature?

Hi ,We have SEGGER J-TRACEpro for CORTEX-M processors . https://shop-us.segger.com/product/j-trace-pro-cortex-m-8-18-00/ We want to take the Code Coverage report . We are using Ozone IDE and loading the .OUT file to the OZONE IDE .There are 2 cables that are connected to the J-TRACE pro one with normal Segger connector 20 pins that also comes with Segger J-LINK the image is shown below for this cable , this is what I am connecting to the custom board .I know this does not carry the TRACE signals . To get the J-TRACE Pro working there is cable shown above This connector is a 19-pin connector (0.05" / 1.27mm). It connects to the target via an 1-1 cable. the connector width is smaller compared to the J-Link Connector cable shown below . I need documentation for STM32F051 which pins should be connected to the TRACECLK , 4 of TRACEDATA pins of the SEGGER J-TRACE Prohttps://wiki.segger.com/UM08001_J-Link_/_J-Trace_User_Guide#19-pin_JTAG.2FSWD_and_Trace_connector14 TRACEDATA[0] Input Inp

Hello, I wonder if it exists a basic example or application note illustrating how to configure the USB_OTG peripheral (host mode) of Stm32u5xx mcu as virtual port."Device USB" is anymore available under Middleware in STM32CubeMx and the USBx stack is integrated with Azure that is excluded from my application as customer prefers FreeRTOS.Thank you for giving me some hints

If someone has that information please share, better would be if you can point me to the documentation where I can found the information. We are using the STM32F429ZI nucleo board.

DAC block is not directly available on MATLAB Simulink. We tried interfacing CubeIDE with Simulink using S-Function builder but were not able to run. We are facing problem in creating S-function. Any idea on how to do so directly or indirectly would be appreciated.

I find that STMCUBE is missing the middleware PDMtoPCM lib for STM32WB55, see attached. How do I get the PDNtoPCM lib and install it in CUBE ?Thanks Brian

Hi,the documentation says"The tool [translations.rb] can be run in the TouchGFX Environment."What is meant by "TouchGFX Environment" ?What does the dollar $ sign represent ? Is it a ruby interpreter ? Or some TouchGFX command line tool ? Thank you

Hello All...I am trying to send data to realterm using printf....I used cubemx to set up baud rate, etc. and have called MX_USART2_UART_Init. RealTerm is pointing to the correct serial port with the correct baud rate....A breakpoint validates the data is all good. I have included stdio.h. Can someone tell me why I am seeing nothing happen on RealTerm....Also I have tried creating a console in STMCubeIDE and also see nothing happen?? I overwrote the weak _write function (see below)Thanks for (uint8_t current = 0; current < NUMBER_MSMNTS; current++){ printf("CYCLE %d CURRENT %0.1f mA", ((readCycle > 0) ? readCycle : 3), DAC_C[current]); printf("Vbias %0.2f", SensorDataPerCyclePublish.Vbias[current]); printf("SiPM %0.2f", SensorDataPerCyclePublish.SiPMCurrent[current]); printf("LED1 %0.2f", SensorDataPerCyclePublish.LED1Current[current]); printf("LED2 %0.2f", SensorDataPerCyclePublish.LED2Current[current]); printf("WaterT %0.2f", SensorDataPer

Hi.I am having some issues trying to use the EXTI module, to implement interruption routines associated to ports. The problem is related to the behavior of STM32 microcontrollers with ports interruptions. In most microcontrollers (i.e. Texas Instruments MSP430), when it comes to port interruption handling, we have interruption flags (IFG) and interruption enables (IE) for each port. Then, when an event occurs on a port, for example, a pulse transition from low to high, the IFG goes to high even if the interrupt is disabled. In case the interrupt is enabled, the IFG goes to high too and the interruption service routine (ISR) is executed. In that way, when you have an interruption disabled (IE = 0) and an event happens on the port, the IFG is set to high. If in any part of your code you enable the interruption (IE = 1), the ISR is immediately called because the IFG = 1. This is a good way to store the occurrence of an event, even in the case the interrupt is disabled in the moment when th
