I can't find general-purpose STM32 and STM8 under https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/about/quality-and-reliability/product-longevity.htmlDoes this mean that ST gave up on that promise?JW

Here is the code snippet. HAL_Delay(5000); if (HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1,ADC_SINGLE_ENDED) != HAL_OK) { print_debug_str("Did not calibrate right!"); } else { char buf[32]; sprintf(buf,"Calibration Factor: %lu\r\n",ADC1->CALFACT); print_debug_str(buf); }if I let this run it fails. If I put a break point on the if (HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1,ADC_SINGLE_ENDED) != HAL_OK)and step over it works. If I remove the HAL_Delay(5000) it does not work unless I put in a break. It will work (return HAL_OK) after the break even if I immediately tell it to continue and run where the delay is much less than 5 seconds. I put in the delay because I thought it needed more time to settle down. That does not seem to be the case. I even tried to make the delay 15 seconds. It still will not return HAL_OK Thanks for the response. Kip

I have a project where I want to add a simple PWM. I'm using the stm32h series. I have a scope on PA3, and I set up my timer2 for PWM on channel 4. I did this all in the IOC file as I want to understand how to create the PWM I need. I see it added my init code and I'm guessing I need to add a few lines to start it.maybe a timer startHAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim2);and a pwm startHAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_4);the lines it added werestatic void MX_TIM2_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 0 */   TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 1 */ htim2.Instance = TIM2; htim2.Init.Prescaler = 0; htim2.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim2.Init.Period = 83999999; htim2.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim2.Init.AutoReloadPreload =

I am using an STM32H753I-EVAL2. I have the real-time clock(RTC) counting. I want it to be set to the current time. I am successfully able to do this inside of MX_RTC_Init() with:RTC_TimeTypeDef sTime = {0}; sTime.Hours = 0x11; sTime.Minutes = 0x22; sTime.Seconds = 0x33; if (HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BCD) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }I configured the H7 such that the RTC continues to count when the main power is disconnected, through VBAT. The issue is that STM reruns all of the code when it is repowered, causing the time to be reset to where it started. Is there any way to avoid it rerunning all code? Thanks

The error message says that this plug in needs jdk 17 : jdk 17 is installed and I have added the option -vm with corresponding path to javaw.exe. Error Message is still present after CubeIDE restart.

Hi! all experts in Community ST,I have been working on the embedded flash memory of STM32G474RE and the whole programming process of the flash memory has been successful. However, I do not understand how the Error Correction Code works.Referring to the reference manual,8-bit ECC code is calculated and added per double word(64 bits). If I interpreted correctly, when 64-bit or 8 bytes data is programmed at some address, the 8-bit ECC code is calculated automatically and is stored in flash memory, following the data. Is it correct? Here is the memory map of my test case:Data: 0x1111111122222222Addr: 0x0807F808As you can see, the data has been successfully stored in the designated address but I can't find where the ECC is.It is quite confusing for me.If I want to store new data after the data which I already write, should I leave 8-bit for the ECC Code? or should I just write right after where the previous data ends?I think I am not on the right track :'( Where the ECC Co

Hi,I've tried to configure the DREADY to INT1 and read the output registers. I believe I'm making some mistake in the configuration as I observed that I'm able to read the OUT registers when I using the polling method. I've tried using the ST MEMS C driver and directly writing to the registers. Below is a code snippet of what I tried using to configure the LIS3DH```uint8_t lis3dh_on_boot(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx){  uint8_t config[6] = {0x07, 0x00, 0x10, 0xA8, 0x00, 0x01};  uint8_t config_read[6] = {0};  uint8_t ctrl_reg0 = 0x90;  uint8_t ctrl_reg1 = 0x07;  uint8_t ctrl_reg2 = 0x00;  uint8_t ctrl_reg3 = 0x80;  uint8_t ctrl_reg4 = 0xA8;  uint8_t ctrl_reg5 = 0x00;  uint8_t ctrl_reg6 = 0x02;  lis3dh_write_reg(ctx, LIS3DH_CTRL_REG0, &ctrl_reg0, 1);  lis3dh_write_reg(ctx, LIS3DH_CTRL_REG1, &ctrl_reg1, 1);  lis3dh_write_reg(ctx, LIS3DH_CTRL_REG2, &ctrl_reg2, 1); &n

STM32H743i-EVAL, using 2.1.0 PACK, and H7_V1.11.0 firmware. The error occurred after adding NetXDuo > Addons Web Server. I found to satisfy the compile errors that I also had to check (include) Addons DHCP Client and go back to RTOS ThreadX and check PerformanceInfo since there is a routine deep in the app_netxduo.c that needs to use performance information. After this I am left with one error, a multiple definition for CHAR *pointer used in app_threadx.c to keep track of byte_pool allocations when creating threads for threadx and CHAR *pointer used in app_netxduo.c to keep track of byte_pool allocations there when creating the netx threads. Neither of the CHAR *pointers are declared as external nor is there any declarations made in the h files with respect to these variables that might cause a multiple reference.I guess I could go in and give them a unique name, but I thought each declaration should be local to the file it is declared and used in.

I have created an application using CubeMX inside CubeIDE and setting the ThreadX memory pool size in CubeMX sets the value generated in the app_azure_rtos_config.h. CubeMX also generates app_threadx.c and app_thread.h, but in app_threadx.h most examples show a #define APP_BYTE_POOL_SIZE inside the USER CODE BEGIN PD section.Should these values in two different places be the same? And should this be best accomplished by including app_azure_rtos_config.h in the app_threadx.h file and defining the APP_BYTE_POOL_SIZE as TX_APP_MEM_POOL_SIZE with a #define?

Evaluation Board STM32H743i-EVALExample from STM32H735G-DK - NetXDuo - Nx_WebServerAZRTOS-H7 V 2.1.0I am trying to build a Nx Webserver like the one referenced for the H743i. I have begun with trying to set up the memory as it is configured in the 735G example since the memory layout between the two processors is the same. I have not ported any other code yet. I set-up the CubeMX parameters for the same as the 735G .ioc. I have compared the code generated with the main.c code in the example and it is a match. It looks like this: void MPU_Config(void) { MPU_Region_InitTypeDef MPU_InitStruct = {0};   /* Disables the MPU */ HAL_MPU_Disable();   /** Initializes and configures the Region and the memory to be protected */ MPU_InitStruct.Enable = MPU_REGION_ENABLE; MPU_InitStruct.Number = MPU_REGION_NUMBER0; MPU_InitStruct.BaseAddress = 0x0; MPU_InitStruct.Size = MPU_REGION_SIZE_4GB; MPU_InitStruct.SubRegionDisable = 0x87; MPU_InitStruct.TypeExtField = MPU_TEX_LEVEL0; MP

Say we have a STM32 project called Foo. When it is compiled, it generates an intel hex file called Foo.hex that we can use to upgrade the file in the field. That is easy. What we would like to do as add the version say 10.1 or 10_1 and the last 8 digits of the git hash. And the number of compiles since the last git commit to the file name. We can do that; So we commit say version 10.1 with the last 8 digits of the commit being 63245699.We want the name of the file to be Foo10_1_0_63245699.hex. And when asked for the version over I2C the Foo program provides 10_1_0 or 10_1_0_63245699. If the file on the computer is a newer version than on the STM32 board, we activate the boot loader and update the software over I2C. (That part is working) .If we compile the program again, the name adds 1 to the number of files since last commit. so the name changes to Foo10_1_1_63245699.hexIf we compile again Foo10_1_2_63245699.hexWhen we commit we up the version and the number of compiles since the las

Hello,I'm trying to read the pulse counter with a timer on STM32H747. The counter produces pulses up to 100KHz on one timer channel and high \ low signal to define the direction.I tried two approaches.Reference manual says, as I understand, that such signals are supported out of the box. Section 40.3.22 says "To select Encoder Interface mode write SMS=‘001’ in the TIMx_SMCR register if the counter is counting on TI2 edges only, SMS=’010’ if it is counting on TI1 edges only and SMS=’011’ if it is counting on both TI1 and TI2 edges." But setting it to TI1 only mode still behaves as TI1 & TI2. So, it reads quadrature signal, not pulses. Then I tried to use the timer in counter mode. It didn't work for me.My questions are: does encoder mode supports pulse + direction signal, and is there a good example of using a timer in counter mode (mode 1)?Thanks.

I am having an issue similar to https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000027iXpbSAE/spi-dma-configuration-generated-by-stm32cubemx-does-not-work but with the SDMMC peripheral rather than SPI.I have an STM32CubeMX project targeting the 32F746GDISCOVERY with the following relevant peripherals and settings:SDMMC SD 4 Bits Wide busSDMMC1 global interrupt enabledSDMMC1 bidirectional DMA request enabled on DMA2 stream 3FatFS enabled with DMA templateWith the above STM32CubeMX configuration and the minimum working example below:#define TEST_DATA_SIZE 32768   // -- snip   static FRESULT fatfs_err; static const unsigned char test_data[TEST_DATA_SIZE] __attribute__ ((section (".dtcm"), aligned (4))) = {0}; static unsigned int bytes;   // -- snip   int main(void) { // -- snip   fatfs_err = f_mount(&SDFatFS, SDPath, 1); if (fatfs_err != FR_OK) { printf("failed to mount card, code: %i.\n", fatfs_err); if (fatfs_err != FR_NOT_READY) { printf("exiting.\n"); exit

Why am I seeing the warning:Invalid project path: Missing project folder or file: /STM32H743-EVAL-Utils/ThreadX for Source path.the source folder the warning is complaining about is not visible while browsing the project folder. It is not visible when trying to create the source folder using the new source folder tool. If I try to create a source folder named ThreadX, new source folder tool will not allow the new folder because it claims a folder by that name already exists. But using the browse feature within the new source folder tool to see all the current source folders does not show ThreadX. I went so far as to look for any references in the project properties and find nothing that references a folder ThreadX except the treadx subfolders in the Middleware source tree.the only reference I could find is in the .cproject file, where under the tag <sourceEntries> there is the entry:<entry flags="VALUE_WORKSPACE_PATH|RESOLVED" kind="sourcePath" name="ThreadX"/>Removing this
