Hello,I'm currently prototyping a custom design utilizing the ST25RU3993 which should be nearly identical to the reference design HPEV. I've removed the external PA and 2nd antenna, but otherwise the design is very similar. I've attached the schematic for comparison. Where available, I've followed the reference layout as closely as possible. The board is showing poor read rates (low distance, ~50% success rate for consistent tag-antenna positions) which I suspect is the result of the following: the RX probe point (equivalently RF-TP4 on the eval kit) shows almost 5dBm at the carrier frequency when measured with the spectrum analyzer. I understand this should be closer to -14dBm.Am I missing something obvious from my design? Or could this be a possible result of an assembly issue? Looking forwards to any insight into the issue or further testing I can perform. Thanks!

MCU: STM32l47xxxHi,I am attempting to modify Option Bytes in code and am seeing undesirable behavior. The purpose for modifying the OBs is to be able to reset into Bank 2 afterward. I am implementing to perform a on-the-fly DFU similar to the method found in AN4767. I have looked at both AN 4657 and its example code and followed their method in order to modify the OBs.After running the code below, the MCU halts and becomes unresponsive. The only way to get it out of this state is to reset the OBs using JLinkSTM32.I have also looked at the datasheet for this MCU and followed their steps, I am not using HAL libraries so everything is through registers. Is there a missing step that I am not understanding that is preventing the MCU to reset into Bank 2? I have flashed my application at the start of Bank 2 to test if its working.Any help would be appreciated! -Tom// Function to program the options bytes void ProgramOptionsBytes(void) { SYS_UnlockFlashWrite();   while (FLASH->SR &amp

Dear community,I'm still facing an issue with my SD card slot on my STM32F410RB Nucleo Board while using the CUBE IDE. After resetting the microcontroller, I'm able to mount the SD card successfully again, but as soon as I remove the card, I'm not able to mount it anymore. When trying to mount the card after removing it, I'm getting an error message of FR_NOT_READY from the f_mount function. I've tried various things to fix the issue, such as testing the SD card in different slots and trying different pull-up and pull-down configurations, but unfortunately, nothing has worked so far.Since I'm using the CUBE IDE, I was wondering if anyone in the community has had a similar experience or has any tips on how to fix this problem within the IDE. Any help would be greatly appreciated.void process_SD_card( void ){ if (SdCardConnected == 1) { printf("SD Card found\r\n"); FATFS    FatFs;      //Fatfs handle  FIL    &nb

I tried installing 1.12.0_149 IDE on my M2 MAC, didn't work and here is the screenshot for your reference.

Hello, I'm using a STM32L476RG Nucleo board for a personnal project. While playing with the ADC, I noticed something strange: ADC raw readings seems to be off.My experiment, connect the middle pin of a 100k potentiometer to the PC0 pin, and record different ADC output code with different voltage. The code used for the experiment:The output codes are read using the debug tool in Cube IDE, pausing after reading. Multiples readings are done before selecting a value.Using excel, I came up with this chart:Blue line corresponds to the data recorded: ADC output code vs Applied voltage.Orange line corresponds to the output code I'm supposed to get using the theorical formula: Ouput code = Vin * 4095/3.3 (3.3 being the voltage on the AREF pin, 4095 beiing the max output code possible with a 12 bit ADC).By playing with the formula, I found out a reference voltage that could give me a theorical curve close to my practical one in the 3.7V-3.8V range: Blue line is the same as before, while oran

If server1 is connected to the client and when I try to connect with server2, will server1 still be connected?because once 2 servers are connected I am not able to GATT Write attribute to an individual server.I am able to write only newly connected server only.I am using "aci_gatt_write_without_resp" to write even if I change Connection_Handle parameter also I am not able to write to server1. Thank You.

Hi, I recently had to update the LSE Drive Capability from "low drive" (0x00) to "medium high drive" (0x02) for an STM32U575 project. After making this change in STM32CubeMx and programming the micro with the newly generated code, I noticed the updated LSE drive level was not being set, it was still using the previous value.Upon further debugging, I noticed the generated code is not disabling the LSE before updating the the drive level via `__HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG()`. This appears to be a bug with the generated STM32CubeMx code.My fix has been to disable the LSE before the function `SystemClock_Config()` gets called, which will then perform the LSE drive level configuration, as a well as, enabling the LSE. However I want to check if this is the proper way to set the drive level or if anything else should be done.

I design NFC antenna using ST25TN01K(50pF) chip .This is my first time in RF design. I calculated data with edesignsuit that I shared first photo. Firstly I wonder is my design okay and proper? My design must be small and antenna coil inductance 2.58uH(2nd photo). Both ends of the antenna go directly into the chip.Apart from these, is there anything else I should pay attention to or add? Can you suggest an app or method where I can simulate the nfc antenna and see if it works?

The square antenna inductance equations in app notes AN2972 and AN2866 seem to contain an error (or misleading terms) where it describes the average diameter parameter. The notes say the average diameter in millimeters but it needs to be in meters insteadLooking at things from a units perspective, it's clear that d is expected to have units of m since u0 has units of H/m and all the other quantities are dimensionless. Also, since all the other parameters are dimensionless, the notes on the p parameter can eliminate the "in millimeters" text. It may also be good to duplicate the u0 value for the Inductance of squared antennas calculation. It is repeated in 4.2 (inductance of spiral antenna) from 4.1 (inductance of circular antenna). Not having it present in 4.3 may incorrectly suggest that the value should be different.App Note Links: AN2972 and AN2866

Is there any way to erase 32bytes in flash?

Hi,Is there a possibility for TextArea to ignore translating its text upon language change ?I thought I could achieve that by using a wild card and setting raw string (ie TextArea::setWildcard1 (UnicodeChar* value)) but it did not work as I hoped. As I understand it, after calling Texts::setLanguage (), GFX translates all texts/strings assigned to TextArea(s) to font assigned to new language.I miss something like TextArea::setIgnoreLanguageChange ( bool ignore ).Thanks

Hi,TextArea allows to align text in horizontal direction. How to achieve the same alignment in vertical direction ?Thanks

Hello everybodyI have a problem with reading of the data from the internal temperature sensor. I'm using last Cube IDE and Cube MX for configuring the project.I created the project according to this example: "Get temperature from STM32 internal temperature sensor (simple library)" from refcircuit.(sorry, cannot attach links yet)But without using of the uart part.Temperature step depends on the APB2 frequency. If it 84MHz then sampling period is about 47us with ADC prescaler = 8.And in this case i see next posible values of ADC output: 961, 963, 993.These values changes randomly. If i heat it up, the temperature increasing according to the heater, but with strange steps. If it 21MHz then sampling period is about 188us with ADC prescaler = 8.In this case the ADC output is more accurate, and step looks much more better. It is the strange behaviour for this MCU cause min sampling time must be 10us as in datasheet. Also I have tried to use code without DMA and interrupts, just launch

There are times where I would like a message queue of a single depth. In some similar OSes this is also how semaphores are created. I have hit a near brick wall in STM32CubeMX failing to create a queue with just one element. In this case for the STM32F4 library, I get the following call where I set a "Queue Size" 1 in:Middleware -> FreeROTS -> Tasks and Queues -> Queues -> Queue Size. This creates a function:I2CWriteQHandle = osMessageQueueNew (2, sizeof(i2c_data_type), &I2CWriteQ_attributes);Note the "msg_count" argument is 2, despite all the I2CWriteQ_attributes being consistent with those being set in ST32CubeMX. If the queue is increased to say 16, msg_count remains at 2. Other queues with a osMessageQueueNew "msg_count" set at 16, remain at 16.If I manually correct the "msg_count" argument, the new value is retained when (re)generating the code.I presume this behaviour of unlinking "Queue Size" "msg_count" is unintened and not sure when this issue started. BTW I am u

Hi all,im trying to bring a timer interrupt to work. In the first step I want to create an LED blinky. For that I followed the instructions from the Knowledge base example (How to generate a one second interrupt using an STM32 Timer). The only difference is that I use TIM17 instead of TIM3 (I also tried to use TIM3 at first, but with the same problem).I also checked and debugged the generated Code to initialize the Timer. All functions mentioned in the description from stm32g4xx_hal_tim.c are implemented and called, when MX_TIM17_Init is called from main. The call hierarchy is MX_TIM17_Init --> HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim17) --> HAL_TIM_Base_MspInit(htim). The HAL_TIM_Base_MspInit() function resides in stm32g4xx_hal_msp.c and calls the functions to enable the peripheral:void HAL_TIM_Base_MspInit(TIM_HandleTypeDef* htim_base) { if(htim_base->Instance==TIM17) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM17_MspInit 0 */   /* USER CODE END TIM17_MspInit 0 */ /* Peripheral clock enable */ __H

hello i am working with i2c i used register for coding i2c but when i configure AFRH register i cant upload my code to my board i have target not responding error then i tried hal library but nothing changed

I configured some devices (UART1, UART3, SPI1) in the .ioc file of an STM32F103 project.Just wonder why TIM1 is greyed out and in italics, unavailable?

Hi, I am trying to detect whether a reset event was caused by power on rather than any other reset such as a button reset or a software reset. I attempted to use  if (__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_PORRST) != RESET)but the compiler reports that PORRST is not recognized. I tried BORRST and that is recognized but i don't believe that that setting is solely for power on detection. Thanks in advanceRichard

For Channel=5 and Rank=1 the result is ADC_SQR1=0xA (incorrect).Should be 0x140.

The description says "USB Type-C user connector" (besides of the ST-LINK connector)https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-f072rb.htmlBut I cannot find it in the user manual (UM1724) and on the picture. And same about NUCLEO-F303RE:https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-f303re.html

Hi, I'm trying to practice FreeRTOS with my STM32F769I-Eval kit.I made two task with different priority and print global variable with semaphore. When I run my code, terminal print decreased value every time.  I don't know why. Here is my code.int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MPU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ MPU_Config(); /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ /* USER CODE END 2 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN RTOS_MUTEX */ /* add mutexes, ... */ /* USER CODE END RTOS_MUTEX *

The RM0440 ch. 28.3.18 rev7 mentions on page 1128:> An interrupt is generated if the BIE bit in the TIMx_DIER register is set. A DMA request can be sent if the BDE bit in the TIMx_DIER register is set.Unfortunately, the DIER register does not contain a BDE bit. Additionally there is no DMA line available for the break (unless it uses the TIM_TRIG line). Is this sentence a remnant from initially planned features, or are the other parts just missing?

I cannot load the image into the SD card of the STM32MP157F-DK2 board.I set the switches to OFFI start the board that starts in BOOT FOR FLASCHING (only the LD4 led is on steady red)Through the terminal or graphical STMProgrammer I start the download of the image (file: FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-trusted.tsv)It loads Partition ID 0x001 correctly, finishes loading Partition ID 0x003, then the board exits the BOOT FOR FLASHING mode (the blue LD8 LED lights up and the LD6 LED flashes red) and the software returns to me Reconnecting the device ...

Setting the FX_STANDALONE_ENABLE flag should disable all ThreadX specific code when building a FileX project. However there is actually some code related to ThreadX timers that is generated within a USER CODE section, defining the FX_STM32_SD_CURRENT_TIME. Does anyone know why that may be, and more importantly what would be the correct definition of this macro without ThreadX?
