Solved

I am having a bug with Touchgfx designer. The pop up message asks to kindly report the issue. However, I am unable to find a palce to report and add my .log file.

I'm using STM32L432KC on Nucleo-L432KC board with the following set up:I2C -- PB6=I2C1_SCL, PB7=I2C1_SDASPI -- PA1=SPI1_SCK, PA11=SPI1_MISO, PA12=SPI1_MOSI, PB0=software CS for SD card readerEXTI - PB1=EXTI1It all works fine until I want to configure another CS pin for second SPI device using PA6 or PA5.Please note that nothing is connected yet, I am merely configuring a new PIN in this way - as push-pull, pull-up, and outputting high: /*Configure GPIO pin Output Level */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5, GPIO_PIN_SET);   /*Configure GPIO pin : PA5 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_5; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; // Change to GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_OD GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);This I have isolated to cause I2C1 peripheral to hang (waiting for TC flag to be cleared) while taking with the connected devices.I have noticed the following:If I apply the exact same

HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() can lead to non-functional DMA when the following happens:RX DMA state readyTX DMA state busyHAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() gets calledThe result is that RX DMA will become busy and never recovers due to the logic in lines 2413 to 2470 in stm32h7xx_hal_spi.c.A fix would be to insert a HAL_DMA_Abort_IT(hspi->hdmarx); into the the if-condition in lines 2458 to 2470 to abort the previously started RX DMAGreetings

Hello! I am working on PWM generation using several timers, in this case: TIM3, TIM4, TIM8, TIM15. I have gotten TIM3, TIM4 and TIM8 to work perfectly. I am currently testing this on a STM32F3DISCOVERY board. TIM15 however, does not behave properly for me. It uses the same code as for the other general purpose timers I use (Besides the code for CCR3 and CCR4 of course.In this case, I use PF9 and PF10 with AF3 enabled. The registers show that AF3 is selected for these. RCC Configuration:RCC_APB2PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB2Periph_TIM15, ENABLE);   RCC_AHBPeriphClockCmd((RCC_AHBPeriph_GPIOF), ENABLE);GPIO configuration:GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct;   GPIO_PinAFConfig(GPIOF, GPIO_PinSource9, GPIO_AF_3); GPIO_PinAFConfig(GPIOF, GPIO_PinSource10, GPIO_AF_3);   GPIO_StructInit(&GPIO_InitStruct); GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Pin = GPIO_Pin_9 | GPIO_Pin_10; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Speed = GPIO_Speed_50MHz; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_OType = GPIO_OType_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Mode = GPIO_Mode_

I am using the STM32WLE5CC ship on a RAK3172 module.I am not using the HAL but writing directly to the PKA RAM and registers, to perform a standard Modular Exponention (normal mode) as described in section 22.4.6 of the manual. The PKA clock has been enabled for normal and sleep mode.I write the exponent and exponent length, the operand and operand length, and the modulus to the PKA RAM, ensuring I am ending with a 32 bit word set to zero as described by section22.4.1.I set the PKA Control Register "Start" bit, after ensuring that the "mode" has been set to zero (Montgomery parameter computation then modular exponentiation) and the enable flag is still set. After setting the start bit in the CR, the "Busy" bit in the status register goes high, as expected.I poll the status register every 10 microseconds, waiting for it to change - the Busy bit should go to 0 and the PROCENF flag should go high, but it never changes, even after several hours.I can read back the registers and RAM and they

Hello everyone. I'm trying to use the TIM6 as a timer at 1 kHZ. However the result I get is 500 Hz. I couldn't figure out why. I maxed the CPU clock speed at 168kHZ, which gives me the result of 84MHz APB1 Timer Clock. I calculated the auto reload value using 1000 = 84000000/((PSC + 1) * (ARR + 1)) and got PSC=1 and ARR= 41999Could you please tell me what I have done wrong in this setup?

Hi all,I need to control 3 BLDCs on one board. I found that in order to precisely control BLDCs, you need a board with special motor control timers. I have only been able to find boards with two of these timers (Example NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q) but I need one with THREE. Thank you in advance.

Hello thereAs per document UM2237, I am using command:STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD index=1 mode=HOTPLUGto connect to the device. Successfully, device is connected. In case of reading a specified memory, one uses e.g. command:STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD index=1 Fast mode=HOTPLUG -r32 0x20000000 0x00000002Which works as a charm. However... these command (directly taken from ST UM2237), issue a connection each time a read is issued.Of course I tried with only command:STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -r32 0x20000000 0x00000002However the "Error: connection to target must be established first." pops up.Here bares the question. Is it possible to connect to target only once and then trigger some readings, without reconnecting each time?Thank you!

Hello,is the drivers to configure BLUENRG-2 and BLUENRG-2N are the same ?can i use the same driver from x-cube-ble2 to make an application with BLUENRG-2N ?Thank you.

I was searching for the security features of STM32F769I - DISCO and came to know that only STM32F77x has CRYP and HASH in the STM32F7xx series.Do STM32F769I - DISCO really have security features? If so, can you provide a relevant document regarding to the security features of STM32F769I - DISCO board?

The above designated code seems not to support STM32 CUBE IDE. It is based on the SW4STM32 and MDK-ARM platforms. Can anyone please direct me to the proper source? Or, is there a way to convert any of these to cube IDE? Thank you :folded_hands:

Hi! I'm running TouchGFX 4.21.3 on a custom board with the following hardware.STM32L452RET6QSPI W25Q128JV for storageLCD 320x172 SPI ST7789v3Everything is working fine expect that image widgets that contain alpha values are now shown properly. I'm still trying to understand the settings that might help solve this problem, here is my setup in TouchGFX:The icons on the top left and right corners have some colours that are not totally white. The icons are png files saved in RGB 8bit mode for all channels. The icons for the battery that are drawn with just completely white pixels work just fine.Images are stored in the external flash and are fetched through QSPI DMA.The configuration for TouchGFX images is as followsHere is how it looks like on the actual hardware I've also tried different settings and modifying the defaults on the Image asset table without any luck. Can anyone explain what I'm I missing or what combination of settings should I use? Thanks,Martin

Hi, I have a STM32F407G-DISC1 board and I'd like to monitor some values (I/O pin states) using the CubeMonitor. However, when I try to configure the ACQ node no probe is found. I downloaded the latest version of the ST-Link driver and it does show up as a COM port.Any idea for a solution is welcomed!

I used the Linker options to set optimization earlier today. Now, I no longer seem to have that tab in Project>Properties. Using the latest version of the IDE (1.12.0). I'm sure it's something dumb I did, but can't figure out how to get it back.

Hi,How to configure the Compiler Optimization level in VScode for STM32? Is there a dialog box for that? As in STM32CubeIDE.

For a project using several powerStep01 drivers it would be very useful, if each powerStep01 could be identified by a unique ID or a serial number. In the interface description no such register is defined. Is there maybe a hidden register available which could be used?

I am testing LTE modem with a STM32H747 MCULTE modem is connectied with STM32H747 thru USART2.I want to use PPP communications with LTE modem.but when I try to check LWIP in [Pinout & Configuration] of IOC file,I can't set [Enabled] of [LWIP Mode and Configuration]It is disabled. I dont know why.Can you explain how to set PPP with IOC file.

I have STM32F407-Discovery Board and want to connect it to the Ethernet using its built-in Ethernet Module, please give me example as I am new to STM32 MCU, Do I need Hardware Editing in STM32F407-Discovery Board for Ethernet functionality or just I need to work in software side?I am Working in STM32CubeIDE.

When generating a makefile project with the STM32U575 MCU it does not generate the CPU= -mcpu-cortex-m33 section of the makefilee.g. it looks like this:####################################### # CFLAGS ####################################### # cpu     # fpu FPU = -mfpu=fpv4-sp-d16   # float-abi FLOAT-ABI = -mfloat-abi=hard   # mcu MCU = $(CPU) -mthumb $(FPU) $(FLOAT-ABI)This gives errors while compiling with a fresh makefile project.

..

If we use the MCU (STM32F401VE  in STEVAL-MKI109V3) to train our IMU(LSM6DSV16X) for the prediction of certain behaviour. Can we then use the IMU standalone without the MCU for the prediction? If so, Where can those predictions be read from the IMU and in what format?

Hi, I've got a Nucleo F303ze and I'm trying to send and receive data via USB without the ST-Link, so I'm powering the board with an 9V battery. When I connect the USB in CN13 the LD8 turns on but on my device manager there is no new connection. When I use ST-link everything seems to work fine as I can upload the program without problem and the board is detected in the device manager, but it still doesn't recognize anything with CN13.I've tried several cables and USB ports but none work as well as two different boards.I'll add a picture of the board state, it is brand new. Both LD6(PWR) and LD8 are turned on, and LD4 blinks slowly.I'm following this tutorial for the code: https://controllerstech.com/send-and-receive-data-to-pc-without-uart-stm32-usb-com/But seeing as the board isn't even detected and I can't use putty to see if the data is being sent I dont think there is a problem with the code yet.Is there anything I'm missing? Thank you very much.
