Hi Sir,I currently use a SM6T18A/CA on the 12V+/- 5% power supply input of my product. After this protection are located many electronic components with absolute maximum rating voltage levels (continuous) given from 13,2V to 18V. After applying the transient voltage Test 61000-4-4 (+/-1KV levels), I can observe that one component is destroyed. I can not that it corresponds to the only component which is not HBM compliant (+-2KV). All others components are compliant with HBM and are not destroyed even if I think the resulted clamping voltage on the SM6T18/CA regarding 61000-4-4 (+/-1KV levels) is over their absolute maximum rating voltage levels (continuous) given from 13,2V to 18V.What is the clamping voltage level on the SM6T18A/CA regarding 61000-4-4 (+/-1KV levels)? Is this transient clamping voltage can be considered as an issue for the electronic components after which have a maximum rating voltage levels (continuous) from 13,2V to 18V?May I consider that HBM (+/-2KV) is a guarantee

I've got a design with a STM32F405RE bootloading onboard STM32F722RE via SPI1.I've implemented SPI bootloader host (mostly same as serial with addition of adding extra 5A frame and dummy reads in a couple places) and individually verified commands like GetVersion, ReadMemory, WriteMemory, EraseMemory etc as working. However, EraseMemory followed by WriteMemory does not work. This is referencing AN4286 throughout this post. Two questions regarding this:1) Get ACK Procedure (Figure 2 in AN) has the following: send dummy / receive data, checking if received data is ack or nack, however, there's a loop back to beginning where you keep sending/receiving data and waiting for correct byte. I am seeing this behavior here as well, and it takes about 10-15 ack reads before ACK is returned. I understand that's what the flowchart says so I'm assuming this is OK. Right?2) Here is where it gets weird. I've implemented EraseMemory as mass erase (Figure 18, left-side flow), by sending 0xff 0xff 0x00 and

Hi !I'm using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.12.0 (according to the updater it is the latest at this time) and I want to enable Dualbank on my Nucleo board. The Nucleo board is a NUCLEO-L476RG and is correctly recognized as such: However in the Option bytes -> User Configuration tab, the DUALBANK option is missing: The BFB2 option is present though, but as I understand it:DUALBANK controls whether or not the flash is divided into 2 banksBFB2 controls which bank to use in case DUALBANK is setAm I right ?In any case, shouldn't DUALBANK be shown since it is user configurable ?Thanks in advance !

I have been trying to run memory mapped mode using qspi (dual mode) with w25q32jv on stm32f446re nucleo board for a long time. I wonder if what I am trying to do is possible or if I am just wasting my time?

Hello,I am working on a project that is a custom board with a STM32H755This is a MCU that does not have a "development" or "discovery" board, so i have to build the project by myself from scratch.I am using:CubeIDE 1.12.0TouchGFX 4.21.3CubeMX 6.8What i can share by know about my issue is:I have follow the steps on the videos by (1) embryonic.dk - YouTube but problems are like, they are kinda "old" and the environment has change and also he had use there a "single core" MCU and i am working with a double core MCU, so for example the "fixer" that he uses for the "simulator" issues does not work for me as he shows on the video. At this point i could not reach the point that i can even "compile" the project without issues. I am stuck at the point that i did provide all the paths/includes for the TouchGFX generated files, but the project does not find or compile due the "simulator" folders. Also, i did notice that when i do create a project for a customboard on TouchGFX and then i do generate

HiI created a project from STM32CubeMX for the STM32F767ZI MCU:FreeRTOS 10.2.1 CMSIS v26 tasks (1 main + 5 bus: CAN, 2 x I2C, QuadSPI, USART)1 message queue per task.1 timer to pace the systemuse of DMA and global interrupt active for every bus (CAN does not use DMA)After initialization, every task waits for message in its dedicated message queue. When the latest task blocks on reading its queue, a hard fault is generated:The processor has escalated a configurable-priority exception to hardfault.The HFSR.FORCED is set to 1.The forced fault is not always the same. Here are the observed fault (for same code however !):A coprocessor access error has occurred (CFSR.NOCP)The processor has attempted to execute an undefined instruction (CFSR.UNDEFINSTR).with PC=0x0 and LR=0x01The exception is always raised after the following code (excerpt from xQueueReceive()):if( xTaskResumeAll() == pdFALSE ) { /* Set a PendSV to request a context switch. */ portNVIC_INT_CTRL_REG = portNVIC_PENDSVSET_BIT;

I cannot find the logic in the schematics about the mapping of the 2 stmod+ connectors.Which pins of the stmod+ correspond to the MCU pins ?Page 7 of the schematic folio is very confusing.I just found pin 3 & 4 of the stmod+2 to be mapped to PG10 & PG9

I'm considering a ST25R3916B design to emulate a 14443 A&B device and preferably be powered by the field. It's not at all clear from the datasheet what the current draw is when not operating in an Active mode - there's a big gap between 4uA in Initial NFC Target mode and 4mA in Ready mode. It's hard to believe that the device can do all its frame decoding and passive modulation on 4uA.

Hello!I am trying to write the memory of a ST25DV64K-I with an EFR32MG13.I created a wrapper on top of the I2C driver of this micro-controller.I can send read and write command with no error. But the write command is not working. For example, I set 4 bytes starting at the address 0x0000 to 0x01 using the RF interface. When I reading it though I2C I can see the value is 0x01. It is good. Then, when I am trying to change the value to 0xFF with a I2C write command, it is changed to 0x00 instead of 0xFF. I triple checked the sent buffer contains 0xFF not 0x00. I tried with other value (0x05) but the tag always ends up setting the memory to 0x00.If I am trying the set only one byte at specific address it is working but it always set the memory to 0x00.I cannot find why. Can you help me understand this behavior? Thanks a lot.

STM32F407 Discoveryen.MB997-F407VGT6-C01_Schematic.pdfHSE quartz 8 megahertz. How are 4-26 MHz generated for HSE?With an oscilloscope, I see only 8 megahertz on X2 quartz.Where are those 25 megahertz that are listed as input for HSE?In the documentation I read this:This frequency cannot be changed, it is fixed at 8 MHz and connected to PH0-OSC_IN of the STM32F407VG.But in Cube Mx this frequency can be changed from 4 to 26 megahertz.

Hi,I have an issue, I can't change the project in STM32CubeMX. I wrote the project name V04 at the beginning of the project now I would like to change how can I do it. I don't touch even the textbox.Thank you

Hello,We are struggling with the configuration of LwIP for my STM board over FreeRTOS.We have our own designed board with STM32F777ZIT controller.Ethernet and LWIP is working as expected as we used without FreeRTOS middleware but we are not able to integrate ethernet with FreeRTOS in STM.I have attached cumbemx screenshot for ethernet connection to STM.Also find attached ETH and LWIP settings in cubemx. We are executing following steps to access FreeRTOS and ethernet.1.In cubeMX enable ETH in RMII mode set PHY Address as 0 in parameter Setting.2.Enable LWIP in middleware.set DHCP as enabled (tried it with DHCP disable also)3.Enable FreeRTOS in CMSIS_V1 mode all other settings in RTOS are as it is.Then we have generated code and build it...It can build successfully, but does not run as it throws DMA memory errors.Laptop settings are correct as I can ping board if RTOS is not used.I would appreciate if you could provide me some step by step, in addition with a reference.

Hello,I use STM32F429 Discovery board, which has touch controller, but in my project I don't need it, so I want to turn it off.In BoardConfiguration.cpp I found this initialization:STM32F4TouchController tc; HAL& hal = touchgfx_generic_init<STM32F4HAL>(dma, display, tc, dispWidth, dispHeight,(uint16_t*) 0, 0, 0);And description of touchgfx_generic_init function says:@param [in] tc Reference to the touch controller driver (or NoTouchController to disable touch input). How to turn Touch controller off?Should I change "tc" in touchgfx_generic_init for NoTouchController or what?Thank you,Anton

Hi all,When writing tests for handling single and double errors on the STM32H753/43/42/50, there doesn’t appear to be a way to turn off the ECC or access the parity bits to force single or double errors.  Relying on them occurring randomly isn't great and I'd really like to be able to inject known errors at known locations. Flash memory can be tested by judicious overwriting of codewords to manipulate the parity symbols but that technique won’t work on SRAM.Section 2.5 of AN5342 mentions there may be routines available (which would be great to have) but I can’t find other reference to how this might be done - even if via DAP.

Hello,I am using the STM32WB55CEU6 chip and while trying to check the functionality with the STM32CubeMonitor-RF I am getting the following error: "Device under test not responding COM port closed"Upgraded "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin" and "P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo -> BLE_TransparentMode"Normal operation was confirmed when the P-NUCLEO-WB55 board was powered up using the same procedure. Please advise if the procedure is wrong

I am trying to write a code so that I measure temperature and humidity via HTU21D sensor. It uses I2C interface. In the datasheet:The HTU21D(F) sensor requires a voltage supply between 1.5V and 3.6V. After power up, the device needs at most 15ms while SCK is high for reaching idle state (sleep mode), i.e to be ready accepting commands from the MCU. No command should be sent before that time. Soft reset is recommended at start.According to this information, I formed the following function:void HTU21D_SensorInit(void) { uint8_t pData[] = {0xFE}; // SOFT_RESET if(HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c2, (DEVICE_ADDRESS << 1), WRITE_REGISTER, 1, pData, 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } // HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, (uint8_t*)"Sensor initialized!\r\n", 21, 100); for debugging HAL_Delay(15); }And I invoke this function in main after MX_I2C2 is called. This function works find and doesn't go into Error_Handler. In while(1) part of the main function, I invoke the following

I'm looking for the MT25TL01G_STM32H750B-DISCO.stldr external loader source code. The github (STMicroelectronics/stm32-external-loader/tree/main/STM32H7x_boards) is missing this one.

 There's no such register in LPUART.Seen also in RM0394, maybe will present in other RMs of that era, too.JW

I've got the STM32MP135F-DK Discovery kit yesterday; and am going stuck on setting up and using the contributed microSD. Demonstartions are not starting. My Steps so far:- STLink software is installed (WIndows10 pro). - the supplied microSD ist installed in Discovery Kit- Power is supplied to USB-C- Boot switches are set as described in Table 5 of the UM, Boot from SD card on SDMMC1.  (pg.13, Table 5, Boot0: 1 / Boot1: 0 / Boot2: 1 )What going on on Display: - Screen1: "ST live.augmented"; dark, then ..- Screen2: left side "ST32 MP1" & Linux symbol ..- then display is going dark, no more responses. Reading the supplied microSD with Windows 10 only shows many empty drive letters.(I did not format the µSD, as Windows ist suggesting)My questions:1. which demonstration should I see from the base demonstration? (there are no examples at the UM)2. what steps are required to start the demonstrations?3. how is it possible to check the contents o

I purchased a STM32F429 Discovery Board about a year ago. I finally got around to unboxing it today. I want to see if I can figure out how to use the TouchGFX tool with this board. I want to have 6 buttons and a textbox on the display. The board has a program loaded on it from the factory. Apparently something is not right with the software. The screen has Video player, Image browser, Clock/Calendar, Performance, Game, and System Info images on the screen. I assume you are supposed to touch these to see a demonstration of these items. However, none of them work properly. If I touch Clock/Calendar the display will sometimes pull the calendar and clock up. At other times the screen changes to "MJPEG Player". If I touch the System Info "button" it pulls up Image Browser and says "No File Found". Regardless of what comes up, NONE of the buttons respond to being touched. The only thing I can do is press the reset button. This restarts the board and it returns to the default startup screen.Did
