Solved

Hello,after upgrading from 1.12.1 to 1.13.1 I encounter the following problem when trying to download my (previously working fine) project onto STM32:Any ideas?regardsHerbert

I am a bit too new to this St universe, could someone please point ,me in the right direction?I would like to update the Firmware on my BMS L9963 board. I found a folder on the website for the GUI for download. It contains a ELF file and some .dllsHow do I transfer this onto the board? I have SPC5 Studio and the Autodevkit installed. There are no samples for that BMS other than an example for timers (?).How? Why? :) Comming from the Arduino universe I am very very lost right now. Maybe someone could help? Is there a noob guide somewhere? How to get all of this going?

Below i have attached a code which enables the PLL freq of 72MHz using HSI of 16MHz. The issue is if I give a Timer pre-scaler of 36000-1 (I am using timer2, which in case of STM32F401RE is on APB1 bus so using a pre-scaler of 2 for APB1 which makes it 36MHz, thus a pre-scaler of 36000-1 will generate a delay of 1 ms). Desired outcome is to generate 1 ms timer delay but it is not 1 ms when tested with timer ARR is set 5000. I have already checked clock using MCO1 pin with a pre-scaler of 2 which gave 36MHz on DSO. When  i call a delay function by passing 5000 as timer ARR value, then i hardly get 2500 - 3000 ms delay.Below is my RCC_Init() function, please let me know is there any other settings are needed for setting up timers using PLL. void tim_init(){TIM2_EN;//TIM2->TIMx_PSC = 36000-1;TIM2->TIMx_PSC = 16000-1;//TIM2->TIMx_PSC = 80000-1;//TIM2->TIMx_PSC = 72000 - 1;} void delay(uint16_t x){TIM2->TIMx_ARR = x;TIM2->TIMx_CNT = 0;TIM2->TIMx_CR1 |= (1

I'm sending a simple string to with HAL_UART_Transmit()  "Hello", and when I look at the Input on my COM-Port there is nothing showing up, just a blank plain text site. Yes I am transmitting at the right baud rate 115200 and I don't have an extra parity bit or anything of that nature. I'm using default settings on everything here. My Board is a NUCLEO-H563ZI with an STM32H563ZIT6. I am using UART 7 to communicate. I will also link my files here. I have basically tried every UARTx and USARTx. When I check the State with HAL_UART_GetState() I get HAL_UART_STATE_READY and as return on the HAL_UART_Transmit() I get HAL_OK.

Using Nucleo-U575ZI-Q (rev X) board I try to do a PoC - a very simple UCPD source app providing default USB 5V and 0.5A max. With undocumented onboard SB8-10 shorten this probably can be accomplished. I know this board does not provide output current control, but that is OK, it is just a simple UCPD test to check if I am able to control CC lines state and receive line state change events, no BMC communication.At first, I tried to use CubeMX middleware. Generated application requires two DMA channels, one advanced timer, uses proprietary ST library and crashes MCU so badly that probably no fault handler is even being called.So I tried to activate UCPD and monitor CC lines with my simple code. As soon as I activate the Rp resistor MCU crashes, debug communication is lost. Sample code below. Please Advise.Firmware package version: 1.3.0Update: I got success, but with Nucleo-H563ZI Rev W. Using the same code (w/o trimming) I was able to correctly read SR.TYPEC_VSTATE_CCn, UC

I would like to find out the if the following assumptions are correct. It offers 16 bit (65K) level resolution. The sensitivity in mV/g would about 3000/2g for the 2g range? That seems rather high because typically you see 500 mv/g values. Also I am not sure how the 26.6 K data rate translates into 6 KHz bandwith specified in the datasheet.

I tried to periodically send SPI data using PIT timer on SPC572.but whenever the timer interrupt call the SPI to transmit the data, the MCU freezing. while, when call the SPI transmit from main function, it working fine.any suggestion to solve this issue? thanks

Hello.I have a question about STM32CubeProgrammer.I'm going to use the STM32 system image in Raspberry Pi.How do I flash an STM32 image on an SD card that will be mounted on a Raspberry Pi board?I want to use STM32 program in Windows environment as much as possible.The following are the methods and results I thought of.1. Fit formatted SD card into Raspberry Pi and connect to Rsap's micro5 pin and Windows PC, and USB from 'STM32CubeProgrammer' >>> Program not recognized 2. Connect with Windows PC using SD Card Reader >>> Program not recognized

I'm a bit confused about the necessity of clocking the SWD ports using STM32G0B1 chip.There is a I/O port clock enable register (RCC_IOPENR) that enables the functioning of each of the GPIO ports (Port A - Port F), its reset state is all zeroes, so no port is clocked (including Port A, which pins 13-14 in the "alternate function" mode are SWDCLK/SWDIO ports). But the debugging via STLink seems to work in this default configuration. And the actual RCC_IOPENR register state still contain all zeroes during run time (so port A is still not clocked).I didn't find any mentions of such an exception made for these particular pins in the RM.If in CubeIDE I explicitly mark these ports as SWD ports, it then generates the code which enables the Port A clock. But if I comment out it, nothing changes, debugging works either way.So, are these pins clocked separately from the rest of the port A pins? If not, is port A always clocked? And if yes, can I use other alternate functions on these pins withou

I have an app where I timestamp all the data I get from a bunch of external devices.  I'm trying to come up with the fastest way to read the RTC and have 2 approaches, one using snprintf and some LL driver code that's pretty easy to read.  It's not many lines long but slow: 207 microseconds according to the chronometer in VisualGDB.  The second works directly with registers. It takes a lot more lines of code but is much faster: 10 microseconds. The timestamp and the data from every device gets logged to a file on a uSD card and should be readable in a text editor without additional formatting so my timestamp winds up being an array of ASCII values. And I'm using a STM32H7A3. BTW, I know I need to do a little more arithmetic to get the actual decimal subseconds, I just haven't gotten there yet.Is there a better way that I haven't thought of?    uint8_t regTimestamp[18] = { 0, 0, '-', 0, 0, '-', 0, 0, 'T', 0, 0, ':', 0, 0, ':', 0, 0, 0 }; const uin

Hello,I'm in Cube MX and trying to activate the LSE option of my NUCLEO-H723ZG but the option is not available. I see many others which are notavailable.Why? I see that the external low frequency oscillator is correctly installed into the board...Cheers.Filippo

Hi Everyone,As soon as I learned and successfully transferred data from CM7 to CM4, I bricked my H747-Disco. So, I brought the Disco home from my microscope Lab to place a solder bridge on R192. I realized reading glasses today just doesn't work for me.So, after unbricking the board and reinstalling the LCD, The unit seemed to be bricked again meaning that it failed to program/connect. Without the LCD, programming both CM7/CM4 was successful. After unbricking numerous times, it seemed to be problem with the LCD. I looked under the microscope later and saw that R181 which is right across the street from R192, is missing. The User Manual, UM2411 indicates that R181 (33 Ohm) is for line QSPI_BK2_IO2. Which probably explains why the LCD and Disco no longer works after unbricking.My question is: I will replace R181 but, I don't know the size of this component. Does anyone now the specifications for this component? This is for QUAD SPI I/O and for what purpose?Thanks,Hiram

I'm working on a project with an STM32F103VCT6 where I'd like to use the ADCs in combined regular/injected simultaneous mode. At a high level, I want to measure the system voltage and current simultaneously every 1ms, and then I want to periodically retask the ADCs as needed throughout the program to measure other things like a specific subcircuit current and system voltage simultaneously.I'm triggering the injected conversions inside an interrupt handler and both the normal end of conversion flag (EOC), and injected conversion flag (JEOC) are set by hardware when an injected conversion is complete, as per the docs. If the code inside the main program is waiting for a normal conversion to complete, how can I ever know that the normal conversion finished when an injected conversion during an interrupt could also set the EOC flag? I think this is more of a broad question than a specific code issue, but here is my specific code anyways:ADC setup: void SetupInjectedDualADCRe

Am using STM32H745BIT6 controller with LCD TFT RGB parallel interface. My end application will consists of lot of graphics and also Animation.Can I use RGB parallel interface with 800x480 resolution. Am using 16bit SDRAM and color depth is 16bpp. Will there be any performance issue with this configuration and STM32H745BIT6 controller.The examples for EVAL board for STM32H745 show lower resolution as 480x272 with 16 bpp. Is there any specific reason for this?Please recomend different controller if STM32H745 is not sufficient for driving 800x480 16 bpp with 16 bit SDRAM.for LCD framebuffer ThanksAnuj

Hi there.I'm trying to read a button status using STM32F103C6 (fake BluePill) with STM32CubeIDE 1.13.1 and/or using Labcenter Proteus to simulate. However, the reading does not work correctly. I would like some help to understand what is missing.My poor code: #include "stm32f1xx_hal.h" #define LED_Pin GPIO_PIN_13#define LED_GPIO_Port GPIOC#define BUTTON_Pin GPIO_PIN_1#define BUTTON_GPIO_Port GPIOAint main(void){  HAL_Init();  RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0};  RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0};  RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI;  RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON;  RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT;  RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_NONE;  RCC_ClkInitStruct.ClockType = RCC_CLOCKTYPE_HCLK|RCC_CLOCKTYPE_SYSCLK|RCC_CLOCKTYPE_PCLK1|RCC_CLOCKTYPE_PCLK2;  RCC_ClkInitStruct.SYSCLKSource = RCC_SYSCLKSOURCE_HSI;  RCC_ClkInitStruct.AHBCLKDivi

I use:STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.27.1and CubeMx 6.9.0I have a problem with the function HAL_RTCEx_GetTimeStamp(&hrtc, &RtcTimeTimeStamp, &RtcDateTimeStamp,RTC_FORMAT_BIN); it always returns the value 0 for the year, the other values are correct.In the function I find:/* Fill the Date structure fields with the read parameters */sTimeStampDate->Year = 0U;sTimeStampDate->Month = (uint8_t)((tmpdate & (RTC_TSDR_MT | RTC_TSDR_MU)) >> RTC_TSDR_MU_Pos);

HiI configured UART-2 to respond to interrupts.If i use the RealTerm to write to the COMPORT of the STM (through the USB cable), the ISR works.But, if I use usb-uart adaptor connected directly to PA3 (the UART-2 Rx pin), the ISR is not called.If I replicate the same to UART-1, things work as expected.Any clue what can be wrong ?Thanks

hello.iar has decided to cancel the limited licenses. I also decided to switch to stvd because I have stm8 ongoing project. But I can't compile on stvd for days.ı get the executable could not be found error.

Hey.I am trying to run ADC DMA sampling on multiple buses/channels, running in parallel to a few FreeRTOS tasks.The following initialization causes unstable behavior and device halt upon boot: HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)adc1_buf, 3); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc2, (uint32_t*)adc2_buf, 2); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc3, (uint32_t*)adc3_buf, 5); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc5, (uint32_t*)adc5_buf, 2);   Everything works perfectly if I comment out one line (any of them), and unstable/halts if I initialize all 4 streams. Any idea?  Thanks.Itamar

Hi  Everyone,I am using Stm8s003k3 to measure the temperature of three different places. Then displaying each temperature on 3 digits 7-segment display (3 of them to show each temperature separately). Now to display the temperature on all 3 seven segments I need to put them in the main loop and then the code should be executed without delay otherwise it will Dim the displays. My problem is I need to perform calculations and some other tasks if do those there is a delay and so my display got Dim any solution recommended how do I display temperature on all three displays while performing other tasks as well?

I am using qspi to connect w25q256, I have a stldr file suitable for stm32cubeprogrammer. I want to know how to use STM32 VS Code Extension to program and debug external flash.

Hi ST, the version of FreeRTOS provided for the STM32L4 is 10.3.1 -- which was released in February 2020, which is 3-1/2 years ago:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeL4/tree/master/Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/SourceA few issues with this version:This FreeRTOS version is only verified for compliance to MISRA-C:2004. Later versions of FreeRTOS are verified for compliance with MISRA-C:2012 -- which is a much more stringent standard.This FreeRTOS version has four known vulnerabilities:Three (3) with a CVSS score of 9.8 out of 10.0 ("CRITICAL")One (1) with a CVSS score of 7.8 out of 10 ("HIGH")Any concept of schedule when ST will be verifying compatibility of the STM32L4 line with a more-recent FreeRTOS than 10.3.1 -- preferably FreeRTOS LTS (Long Term Support)>?
