We want to use the Sensor TileBox pro to measure temp pressure and acceleration in structures.   We have been using some of your boards the MKI versions and they will run at a maximum of 1400 time steps per second when configured for about 2000.   I have the tilebox pro exporting on the USB and picking it up with a new C# program.   See below.  It is reading at 18 cycles per second, I need to adjust the freq output, I thought I had a higher rate.  it is really easy to use, but I have the Android Program setting 75 from pressure and temp and 480 for acceleration and getting 18 time steps per second.  Is this your board's limitation on exporting via the USB cable.   Where am I supposed to post this?

Hi everyone,I am working on a custom PCB designed , but I’ve run into a hardware design constraint and would appreciate some architectural advice on the best way forward. The Setup:Main MCU: STM32L476 (Programming via STM32CubeIDE / HAL)Coprocessor/WiFi: ESP32-WROOM (Intended to handle AWS IoT connections)The Constraint: The PCB designer connected the STM32 and ESP32 exclusively via an I2C bus. There are no physical UART traces connecting the two chips. The Original Goal: The initial plan was to use the STM32 to write firmware directly to the ESP32 over UART, or to use a UART software bridge, and then use UART for passing sensor data to the ESP32 for AWS publishing. The Dilemma: Because the ESP32 ROM bootloader requires UART0 (TX0/RX0) for flashing, I realize a software bridge from the STM32 over I2C to flash the ESP32 is physically impossible. My Questions for the Community:The Initial Flash: Aside from tack-soldering temporary wires to the ESP32's TX0/RX0 pins to perform the initial flas

Hello,I am planning to use STM32H562RGT6 in my product to communicate and update my firmware via CAN FD.To plan that, I am using STM32CubeMX 6.17.0, the datasheet and the AN2606 (Rev 70).And I would like to use only one CAN FD to communicate and to update my firmware in this MCU. But it is impossible to do this in STM32CubeMX. I have only access to FDCAN1. And there are no FDCAN2 on the pins. So, is it a problem in STM32CubeMX ? Or should we use FDCAN1 to do firmware updates via FDCAN for this MCU ?PS: it is the same problem with the MCU STM32H562VGT6 (and maybe other similar MCUs)

Title edited to flag that it's a clone ST-LinkI’m trying to flash an STM32G431CB on a B-G431B-ESC1 ESC board for a reaction wheel-based attitude control system. So there’s three ESCs each. For every one, I soldered 4 wires to the J4 SWD pads (SWDIO, SWCLK, 3V3, GND) and connected them to an ST-LINK V2. Just to clarify on my end, the wire colors don’t really follow any convention, so the red wire isn’t 3V~ I followed the schematic image where the actual pinout left to right is SWDIO, SWCLK, 3V, GND, which matches the correct J4 order. STM32CubeProgrammer is not detecting the chip. The error reads: UR connection mode is defined with the SWrst reset mode; but I am getting a target voltage at 3.25V (power is fine), but SWDIO/SWCLK don’t seem to be communicating. All target fields show dashes.I’ve confirmed that the wiring order matches ST-LINK V2 pinout, tried different connection speeds in CubeProgrammer, change the stlink v2 pinout, even changed my ESC (!) and I have the same i

I'm trying to use a Soracom SIM to experiment with the ST87M01 on the plan01s. Its not clear how to set the APN using the ST87M01. I tried AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","soracom.io", but kept getting an +CME ERROR: 4.Any advice?

I have followed the datasheets and tried to calculate my reference voltage. I am supplying steady 3V on Vref+ pin but I wanted to confirm this because I have some troubles with the ADC precision.So I read the internal voltage both on my card and on a nucelo-C092rc. This is my results: My board:Vref+ = 3.0 * 1659 / 1805 = 2.755Nucelo board:Vref+ = 3.0 * 1665 / 1641 = 3.043However I am quite certain that the nucelo boards are using 3.3 V as reference and my board are using 3 V as reference.So if I swap the 3.0 V from the datasheet into 3.3 V I get the following:My board:Vref+ = 3.3 * 1659 / 1805 = 3.033Nucelo board:Vref+ = 3.3 * 1665 / 1641 = 3.348Which match more my expectations, can someone confirm or deny this typo?I add my adc init function:u16 uiDelay = 0; ADC_CFGR2.CKMODE = 0x0; // Clock mode set to ADCCLK ADC_CCR.PRESC = 0x2; // ADC prescaler set to 48MHz / 4 = 12MHz ADC_CFGR1.RES = 0x0; // Set 12 bit resolution ADC_SMPR = 0x07; // Sampling time set to 1,5 ADC clock cyc

Hi there, I want to flash a HEX file using a Raspberry PI. So I followed the steps described here. But if I run this line:$> ./SetupSTM32CubeProgrammer-2.13.0.linuxI get the message:bash: ./SetupSTM32CubeProgrammer-2.13.0.linux: cannot execute binary file: Exec format errorHas someone an idea why this is not working?Im running Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)

Hello,   While using the Nucleo-F446ZE, I observed that pin PA1 remains at approximately 2.6 V during reset, even when an external pull-down resistor is applied. On this development board, PA1 can be configured as the RMII Reference Clock. However, I have removed SB13, so this function should be disconnected and no longer influence the pin. Given that no internal or external circuitry should be driving this pin and considering that an external pull-down resistor is present I would expect PA1 to be held at 0 V during reset.   Why the pin is not pulled low in this condition?

Hello,I have a few questions regarding image and audio formats on STM32U5.For graphics with TouchGFX, I see that PNG is usually used. However, in some MCU documentation it is recommended to use JPEG. Also, when I try to add a JPEG image directly in TouchGFX Designer, it does not work.Which format is preferable between PNG and JPEG for TouchGFX?Why is JPEG recommended in some MCU documentation? Is JPEG intended only for dynamic loading with software or hardware decoding? What is the recommended way to use JPEG images with TouchGFX, if possible?Regarding audio on STM32U5, which audio format is recommended such as WAV, MP3, AAC or other? Is there a specific library recommended for audio playback on STM32U5?Is there an optimized solution provided by ST?Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,I would like to program the STM32F091 with the internal bootloader via UART (AN2606).My special case is that I have to do the programming not from a PC, it's a another embedded system that will control the programming of the STM32F091.So I'm looking for source code (C or C++) that I could migrate in my embedded system?Does this exist? Thanks

Hi, Our product uses 2 x STM32WB55 MCUs, where one as Server/Coordinator and the other one as Client/Router for Zigbee.  However, our customer prefer to use customized PAN ID or Extended PAN ID so that more controllable and traceable by their application software later. Below is the setup of the Server/Coordinator and Client/Router in my firmware (modify based on sample code "Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Coord & Zigbee_OnOff_Client_Router"). ** Server/Coordinator :startupControl = ZbStartTypeForm;config.panId = 0x0001;  // range from 0x0001 to 0xfffeconfig.extendedPanId = 0x00001; // incremental from 0x01 onwards ** Client/Router:startupControl = ZbStartTypeRejoin;config.panId = 0x0001;  // range from 0x0001 to 0xfffeconfig.extendedPanId = 0x00001; // incremental from 0x01 onwards Questions:1. May I know the configuration above is enough and valid to do so?2. What are the steps needed or I missed out in order to use customized PAN ID or extended PAN I

hello ST Community!I'm trying to connect via UART without USB ST-LINK to the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q for debugging from the STM32CubeIDE environment, but I can't connect. What settings do I need to make in the STM32CubeIDE environment to debug via UART?I tried connecting via UART from the STM32CubeProgrammer environment to simply read flash memory, but it won't connect. What settings do I need to make in the STM32CubeIDE environment to debug via UART without USB ST_LINK? Thanks for supports

We've been succesfully using stm32flash in the past to flash our STM32 MCU that are attached to Raspberry Pi servers (no desktop or X). As we moved on to STM32G0 it seems that stm32flash is no longer working and we are forced to use STM32CubeProg to flash our firmware. Is it possible to install STM32CubeProg on a) ARM such as RPI, b) server with no desktop? To begin with, the installation instructions require the installation of OpenJFX which is not relevant (nor possible, in lieu of X) in this case, we intend to use only the CLI interface through scripts that perform the flashing. Then, trying to run the installation script on the RPI fails since the provided installation binary is for x86.

Hi,  I would like to know when samples and kits for the new STM32H5E4/5E5 will be available.I already asked my local distributor this question, but they didn't know the answer. Ari

I'd like to use a STM32 Nucleo from my raspberry pi  (raspian 64 bit ARM).From my x86 PC I use this https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeprog.html#st-get-software and download the linux version of the tools: this works. The same version doesn't work on raspberry pi as it's arm64 based: I get an " cannot execute binary file: Exec format error" error. I found no version of stm32cubeprog for raspberry pi arm on the STM web site (I tried macos arm version but get the same error than when setting up the linux version of the tool). Is there a way to get stm32cubeprog to work on raspberry pi  (raspian 64 bit ARM) ? How and where to get binaries?

Hi,I am at the beginner/beginning stages trying to pick up STM32 ecosystem involving touchGFX and a display board STM32H7S78-DK. For now I would like to interact a touch button on screen to turn on an LED.Could I get guidance on the overall workflow if it is correct:1) touchGFX - generate UI and generate code2) open up STM32CubeIDE and import touchGFX generated .cprojects and other supporting files3) edit .ioc file to set LED pin (PO1) as output (active-low). save and generate code4) stm32CubeIDE -> build and run -> LED PO1 turns on but my display goes blankover at touchGFX when I try to regenerate code it states [generate code failure] Could I get some guidance thanks.

I am using a custom PCB design with a 480x800 pixel RGB input LCD display. I am driving the display via the LTDC peripheral. When I change the default colors, the color on the screen changes accordingly, which indicates that there is no apparent hardware issue with driving the LCD.However, when I try to display a simple text on the screen using TouchGFX, the system enters the DMA2D_XferErrorCallback function due to a DMA2D error. Because of this, the text cannot be rendered on the display.Could you please explain the possible reasons for this DMA2D transfer error and what might be causing it? best regardsCelil Bayrakdar

Hello ST Community,I'm trying to connect via UART instead of ST_LINK to the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q, but it just won't connect.First, I connect the 3.3V pin to BOOT0, and it activates in bootloader mode. Then, I click "Connect" in the STM32CubeProgrammer environment, and I get this error:The UART's RX and TX (it's a USB SERIAL CH340) are connected to the Arduino pin PD5 and PD6 (USART2) of the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q. Pin GND are also connected correctly. The settings on the STM32CubeProgrammer are as shown in the photo:Why isn't it connecting, or is there something wrong?thanks for supports

Hello everyone, I’m working on a custom version of the FP-SNS-DATALOG2 firmware and attempting to integrate a new sensor, LSM6DSV320X, which is available on the STEVAL-SensorTile.Box Pro but not on the STEVAL-STWINBX1. To add support for this sensor, I performed the following changes: Added Drivers/BSP/Components/lsm6dsv320x/lsm6dsv320x_reg.c/.h Integrated corresponding PnPL + App Model .c/.h files Added that sensor task Modified: DatalogAppTask.c/.h App.c/.h sysdebug_conf.h SensorManager_conf.h HardwareDetect.c/.h Updated existing DTM(Device Template Model) from stdatalog-pysdk pnpl module(FP-SNS-DATALOG2-9.json) to include the new sensor Removed ism6hg256x from the build With these changes, I’m able to start logging using a custom device template, and the sensor appears to work initially. However, the system becomes unreliable after a reset. Main Issue The board operates correctly until it is reset. After reset, I encounter multiple faults, including: HardFaults Bus faults

Hi everyone,I’m currently working on a camera preview pipeline on the STM32MP257F-DK using the Sony IMX335 (MIPI CSI-2) sensor. One important point is that STM32MP2 uses a media-controller-based camera architecture (DCMIPP + CSI subdevices). Because of this, Qt Multimedia cannot directly detect the MIPI camera as a standard /dev/videoX capture device. For that reason, I am using libcamera as the capture backend. It correctly handles the media graph configuration internally and exposes a usable video stream to GStreamer, which makes camera streaming stable and reliable. The functional pipeline is working. However, the goal is to display the live feed inside a Qt6 QML application with proper GPU acceleration, and this is where I am facing a major performance bottleneck: CPU usage is very high during preview, while the Vivante GPU remains mostly idle.I’d really appreciate guidance from anyone who has implemented a zero-copy GPU camera pipeline on STM32MP2.Platform OverviewBoard:

Hi,We are looking for a WiFi module or preferably a WiFi + BT module to be used in a battery-operated device where audio files are recorded onto a uSD card and whenever required they are downloaded through WiFi or BT link to a PC. For context, the audio files are 20MB in size. These are the main specs:- pre-certified module: WiFi or WiFi+BT- highly reliable for mass production- uSD card interface (specific for audio and files)- means to record and play back the audio files- low-power - compact & SMD- straightforward to integrate from a firmware perspective (library available) and well supported in terms of documentation and ecosystem.Could you please make recommendations:- for such suitable modules?- for alternative system architecture using ST products and ecosystem to implements such device?Thank youRicko

I am using STM32G0B1KCT6 MCU, i would like to use the full flash of 256KB starting from 0x8000000 to 0x803FFFF. but am unable to flash in bank 2 (ranging from 0x8020000 to 0x803FFFF).if i reduce the flash size to Bank1 only, then am able to flash and run the code.I am aware its default dual bank MCU.
