Split from  ST87M01 : MAX length of the data returned by AT#IPREAD - which is solved.This is, indeed, a new question.Hello Didier,I have an additional question on this topic (I don't know if I should create a new post, but this question is very much linked to the previous one...) :- From the ST87MXX AT Command User Manual §9.8 AT#IPSENDUDP, the max IP frame size is 1400 bytes- But from ST87MXX TCP/UDP-IP Application Note §3.2 IP default parameters command, the max IP frame size is 1600 bytes,Is there a mistake in one of these documents, or is there something that I didn't understand ?Best regardsThierry

However, the power consumption I measured with an oscilloscope using a series resistor is close to 1 mA, and this value is already close to the power consumption even without configuring the sensor using the MCU. The sensor is powered through the development board's 3.3V interface. The circuit diagram is shown below. Where is the problem?

I am working on SDRAM execution using FMC on STM32H563ZI (NUCLEO-H563ZI board) with external SDRAM connected through FMC interface. Our target is: Execute application sections from SDRAM Place heap and stack in SDRAM Enable automatic scatter-loading/copy from internal flash to SDRAM during startup We are facing an issue where: SDRAM initialization appears successful Manual SDRAM read/write access works in application runtime But automatic copy/scatter-loading from Flash to SDRAM during startup is failing Application execution from SDRAM is unstable and leads to HardFault/reset handler Below are the detailed steps and observations. CURRENT STARTUP FLOW Reset_Handler→ SystemInit()→ PLL/System clock configuration→ FMC GPIO configuration→ FMC SDRAM initialization→ SDRAM command sequence→ __main()→ scatter loading→ main() We intentionally moved FMC/SDRAM initialization into SystemInit() so that SDRAM becomes available before scatter loading. I'm trying to use _Atomic with 64 bit objects, but I get a link failure:undefined reference to `__atomic_load_8'The internet says I need to add an option to the link command:-latomicHowever, it looks as if that library is not included with the ST tool chain:cannot find -latomic: No such file or directoryHas anyone managed to get this working?There are a number of workarounds that could be used here, but it would be much easier to use the native C feature that's been available since C11.I'm using STM32CubeIDE V 1.18.1 with GNU Tools 13.3

Hello everyone! I have a problem with reterning ticks in line "measure_speed_rpm = speed_reference / LL_TIM_GetCounter(TIM2);". speed_reference is const variable and equals 15000000. When I looked at Serial Monitor, it's indicated: (picture)That's mean that LL_TIM_GetCounter(TIM2) returns '1' sometimes. Nothing in my code not calling void EXTI1_IRQHandler(void), except EXTI Interrupt. And the main question is - Why it reterns only '1'??? Not 2,3 e.t.c.Thank you for help! void EXTI1_IRQHandler(void) { if (LL_EXTI_IsActiveFlag_0_31(LL_EXTI_LINE_1)) { LL_EXTI_ClearFlag_0_31(LL_EXTI_LINE_1); static uint8_t edge_switch = 0; if (!edge_switch) { edge_switch = 1; LL_TIM_SetCounter(TIM2, 0); } else { edge_switch = 0; measure_speed_rpm = speed_reference / LL_TIM_GetCounter(TIM2); NVIC_SetPendingIRQ(SPI1_IRQn); // SPI1_IRQHandler is free vector in list, that's why I use it for PID update trigger } uint8_t hall_index = HALL_Read(); SixStep_SetPhas

The STM32F415 transmit and receive lines are connected to the MAX3232 chip. The board also contains chips to control LEDs and read tokens, which are controlled by the STM32F415, and those functionalities work, but I am having issues with the RS-232 communication. I get nothing on the receiving end. When I hook up a scope to the transmit line for UART4 (pin 51) on the STM32 chip, it is always high (3.3 V) and nothing is transmitted. What could cause this issue?

CubeProgrammer 2.22.0 under MacOS 26.4.1 is not able to connect to my NUCLEO-G431, with the log window showing:ST-LINK error (DEV_CONNECT_ERR)Strange thing is this only happens when I have a direct cable connection between the USB-C port on the Mac and the ST-LINK V3 USB on the board - it works as expected if I connect via a USB-C hub.VS Code is also not able to connect to the board to run a debug session without the hub, so I suspect this is an ST-LINK USB driver issue on the Mac.

Hello,I am trying to create a project with Cube AI studio v1.2.My toolchain and libraries are well detected with Cube AI studio v1.1, and I can create a project.However, it is not the case for the Cube AI studio v1.2. The toolchain paths seem valid, but when creating a project no IDE is proposed at all, as shown in the attached image. Could you help me please ? Hello,I've tried to reinterpret a char16_t string (specifically u"Hello")to UnicodeChar* usingreinterpret_cast<const Unicode::UnicodeChar*>they are the same ?What is the difference between them ?

Split from this thread  My firmware is based on this ccid usbd driver https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-mw-usb-device/blob/master/Class/CCID/Src/usbd_ccid.c . The issue that I face, the PC finishes receiving data immediately after receiving 256 bytes (10 bytes of header + 246 bytes of data). when I want to send to pc 253 bytes of data + 10 bytes of header (263 bytes in total) by splitting (64 bytes by 64 bytes) the PC finishes receiving data immediately after receiving the fourth chunk which is 256 bytes (10 bytes of header and 243 bytes of data), It doesn't wait for the fifth chunk, which carries the remaining 7 bytes of my data which arrives in an unknown message despite the fact that I define the size of the data to be sent as 253 bytes. Images 1 and 2 show these details captured by wireshark software.12 this is my code used to send data by chunks : uint8_t SC_Itf_XferBlock(uint8_t *ptrBlock, uint32_t blockLen, uint16_t expectedLen, USBD_CCID_BulkIn_DataTyp

Temporarily shorting USB3300 VCC to GND with a probe (adding bypasscapacitance) eliminated the issue for 50+ minutes — suggesting powersupply noise is a contributing factor, but the frame=16383 correlationis too precise to be purely noise-drivenQuestio

Hi!I have a custom board with 2GB RAM instead of 4GB RAM. I am creating a commercial educational course for the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller.My planned usage:Taking static screenshots of specific datasheet pages (register tables, timing diagrams, memory maps)NOT showing the entire datasheet — only essential pages (30-40 pages out of ~100)Narrating and explaining the content in my own wordsKeeping all STMicroelectronics logos and copyright notices visibleAdding my own annotations (arrows, circles, highlights)Providing links to ST's website for the full datasheetNOT redistributing the PDF fileMy questions:Is this allowed under ST's copyright policy for commercial educational content?Has ST ever taken action against any instructors for this type of usage?Do I need written permission from ST, or is this considered fair use?Example of similar usage (for reference):Hayducate learning website Thank you for your guidance.

Hi, is anybody able to confirm if the STM32H563ZIT3Q has an ethernet peripheral? Thanks, regards.

So I have a series of PIN configured as Application and/or Boot only but, for some reason, the CubeMX generates the code on both main.h in Appli and Booti.e.I have PC0 set as Application only context but I found it in the Boot as well

I've been struggling with a strange ADC problem for a while, and have now made some interesting observations.The scenarioI'm using an STM32G474, where HRTIM directly controls a peltier driver for temperature regulation. Temperatures are measured by ADC4 (12 bit resolution), running in DMA circular mode, triggered by TIM7, at 1 kHz. This works. Temperatures are coming in, and are being used for PID regulation.The problemQuite often – perhaps always – some of the temperature readings are being disturbed, but only at certain temperatures. At first, I thought that it was random noise, but in a graph the noise looks strange. Not random at all.After monitoring the raw ADC values that the DMA has thrown into memory, I discovered something that might be a clue – or it might just be a source of confusion. Every time a noisy sequence occurs, the ADC readout jumps to a lower nearby value where the five least significant bits are all 1, i.e. xxxx xxx1 1111. This is not random noise. It is if as th

Hello.I installed a new version of the IDE, exactly this:st-stm32cubeide_2.1.1_28236_20260312_0043_x86_64The problem is that the menu option "Manage embedded packages" is missing:I checked this on two computers with Windows 10.During the installation, there were no error messages.What can be done about this?

Hello, I am using a B-G431-ESC1 board to power some BLDC motors. I have alrady used it succesfully to spin some 2 pole pairs BLDC using Hall sensors for speed control. I even managed to implement some code to stop the motor at every half rotation of the shaft. It worked flawlessly with this type of motor. Now, I tried connecting a different type of BLDC, still 2 pole pairs but thats all I know since I don't have the datasheet. The motor profiling part went as expected and it managed to calculate all the relevant properties of the motor. I saved it and implemented the Hall sensors as aux speed control for Hall profiling. The difference from the other type of motor is that this one has a 6-wire Hall connection. Using an oscilloscope, I found that the extra cable was likely for temperature, so I left it unconnected. However, I keep getting Pin not connected on the pin wher the same cable is plugged (the blue cable). Whether I put the blue cable on H1, H2 or H3, the board doesnt recognize

Hi, On STM32F746G-DISCO board I have a problem with USART1 (ST-Link VCP): - TX (PA9) works fine – I can send messages- RX (PB7) doesn't receive any characters and I think the board is not waiting for commands Tested both polling (HAL_UART_Receive) and interrupt mode (HAL_UART_Receive_IT). Pins are configured correctly. Did anyone have similar issue on this board? Any ideas what can block RX? Thanks! /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, (uint8_t*)"Connected\r\n", 11, 100); HAL_Delay(100); HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart1, &rxByte, 1); /* USER CODE END 2 *//* USER CODE BEGIN 4 */ void ProcessCommand(char *cmd); void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { if (huart->Instance == USART1) { if (rxByte == '\n' || rxByte == '\r') { if (rxIndex > 0) { rxBuffer[rxIndex] = '\0'; // zakończenie stringa ProcessCommand((char*)rxBuffer); rxIndex = 0; } } else { if (rxIndex < 15) // zabezpieczenie przed przepełnieniem { rxBuffer[rxI

I have been working on porting a custom board using the STM32MP255F-AK.I performed the following tasks:- Used STMCubeMX to configure pins and other settings- Manually added the custom board-specific sections to the DeviceTree- Added the DeviceTree to the Distribution Package's meta-st/meta-stm32mp-addons/mx directory- Created a custom board configuration file and performed the build- Wrote the resulting TF-A and FIP images to an SD card and booted the system- Before performing this work, I verified the operation of STOpenLinux, which was created by modifying the STM32MP257F-DK Device TreeThe TF-A boots, but just before U-Boot starts, a register dump occurs repeatedly and the system stops progressingJudging by the error details, it appears to be a security-related error.Based on the address where the error occurred and the error ID,I tried making various changes to the .ioc and DT files, but the issue persisted.I suspect it’s a simple configuration mistake...What specific areas should I

Hi all,What is the recommended way to not crush our repository and dynamically pull/generate the project's Drivers and Middleware folders?  For instance, our repository has both Bootloader + Application code projects in a repo (and other MCU projects/layouts for the same board).Is there something similar to Platform.IO (or C#'s NuGet packages) where the platform maintains those 3rd-party files in a volatile location and pulls them if they don't exist on your machine? Especially for the sake of not checking into the repo duplication of +15 MB worth of files for each project.Please excuse me if this was already asked. I didn't quite find a solid answer.I'm ok with making a command line script that auto-pulls them too, if that's a possibility.

Hi all,I am trying to develop a bootloader software for STM32F765.I requires two features in it.1) jumping from Bootloader to Application2) jumping from Application to BootloaderI could make jump from Bootloader to Application very easily.But I am suffering with jumping from Application to Bootloader for 4-5 days now.The final code I tried is given below:void Bootloader_JumpToBootloader_Program(void) { void (*app_reset_handler)(void); __disable_irq(); SysTick->CTRL = 0 ; SysTick->LOAD = 0; SysTick->VAL = 0; HAL_RCC_DeInit(); HAL_DeInit(); /* 2) disable all enabled interrupts */ NVIC->ICER[ 0 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICER[ 1 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICER[ 2 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICER[ 3 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICER[ 4 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICER[ 5 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICER[ 6 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICER[ 7 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICPR[ 0 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICPR[ 1 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICPR[ 2 ] = 0xFFFFFFFF ; NVIC->ICPR[ 3 ]

Hello,   I'm updating an ST25R3916B project to use the ST25R300 due to the obsolescence of the Murata variable capacitor. This project is read/write of ISO15693 tags only, no card emulation or anything fancy. It uses one IC which is then multiplexed with relays to 20 different antennae, each about 2cm square. The tag that we're reading is about 2cm by 1cm, and has been working reliably. So for this update I start by finding all the reference designs, and I saw this little gem, the STEVAL-ALOCKCB. It looks like it has an antenna the same size - how do I get more information about it? Can you please post the dimensions, or even better just send me the Altium files and I can get it out of there cleanly. Reference designator on there is ANT700.Also one question on that design - on PDF page 8 of the schematic it has the filter and antenna match but it looks like it's duplicated on both sides of the connector - why? Is that in case someone wants to use a different antenna at t
