i am using stm3210e-eval board which has stm32f103zgt6 mcu and i trying to send data on its uart but i am not able to receive any. i am trying to receiving it through blocking mode   uint8_t rx[10]; HAL_UART_Receive(&huart2,rx,1,HAL_MAX_DELAY); HAL_Delay(1000);  now this is the code and i have put the breakpoint on HAL_Delay so that as soon as data is received it will next stop on HAL_Delay but it does not break it stays stuck into uart function there and is not data getting received. I am using FL232RL to send data from putty to mcu pins of uart i can ensure that data is being sent from putty because when i hit enter onto putty i can see the green led getting blinked with each send of data but i am not getting anything over there but i can send data from mcu to putty i can see that clearly so what is happeningPS: i have double checked the baud rate it correctly set and the uart is transmit and receive mode i have tried changing it to receive mode only but

Hi all,I am designing a wearable device with wireless charging.I have consulted the STDES-WLC38WA solution for the receiver circuit. Now I want to buy STDES-WBC86WTX and STDES-WLC38WA (images in the attached) for testing first, but I found they are not available for sale, so how can I buy them?Hope to hear from you guys soonThank you so muchHiep Le

Hello everyone, I'm new here, I want to start like this first. Today I bought the NUCLEO-G474RE card. I will use this card in a battery management system. My previous system was DC2026C+DC2792B(LTC6820)+DC2350B(LTC6813), this way I can read voltages via Arduino. I managed to upload the same coding to NUCLEO-G474RE+DC2792B(LTC6820)+DC2350B(LTC6813) via Arduino IDE, but I cannot communicate. The communication LEDs are blinking, but I cannot see any communication. I cannot read the voltages.

Is there a way to connect TIM4 to TIM1 were I will be able to slightly phase shift the PWM signal generated by TIM4 compared to TIM1? TIM1 will be configured as master, TIM4 will be configured as slave.

Hello all,I have used TouchGFX for one project before (see https://www.eevblog.com/forum/projects/high-voltage-electronic-load-(500v-500ma)/msg4833872/#msg4833872)which was lots of trial and error, following some tutorials. I still find the architecture (MVP) pretty confusing, so this time I am asking for your help to set this up properly:I want to build a user interface module (based on an existing module like STM32F469I DISCO) that displays pre-defined screens. It will be connected to a host via a fast serial link (UART or SPI). From the host, it might get commands likeSwitch to screen 2Put text "asdfasdf" in text field 23set gauge 17 to value 1234... you get the idea.In the opposite direction the UI module should send messages for UI events likebutton 5 pressedslider 8 set to value 123How do I structure the code? I'll have CodeMX generate the HAL interface for a full duplex UART, generating interrupts for received  characters. From there, a message handler would collect th

Hi, I am using Getsignalrate function inorder to obtain the photon count of VL53L1X sensor. Could somebody tell me what the frequency of the actual signal is, ignoring the I2C and UART communication speed. Or the signal that we get is completely dependent on the communication speed. I want my signal rate to be 1Mhz. Thank u

HI,I downloaded X cube 53l1A1 software. After extracting it i opened the documentation file I see that it is blank. Could u please provide assistance with this matter.Thank you

My laptop was reset due to an issue, so when I downloaded Keil on it  and having done all the necessary Installations, My Keil was showing ST link connection error, and when I tried to install STLINK utility to sort out the issue, the STLink failed to open, it was showing "The code execution can not proceed because mfc140.dll was not found". I've reinstalled the program countless number of times too.

Hi,I'm struggling with timer triggered ADC + linked list DMA. I have two nodes in one list. The ADC is triggered by timer. By counting the HC and TC, it shows the first node can be run well. but the second node never fire the TC or HT.  Where the problem maybe? Thanks.

I compiled the linux kernel uImage and corresponding .dtb file with CubeIDE.Then I mounted the st-image-bootfs-openstlinux-weston-stm32mp1.ext4 and changed the extlinux.conf inside the folder /bootfs/mmc0_extlinux to    # Generic Distro Configuration file generated by OpenEmbedded MENU BACKGROUND /splash_landscape.bmp TIMEOUT 20 LABEL OpenSTLinux KERNEL /uImage FDTDIR /stm32mp151a-stm32-computer-firmware-mx.dtb INITRD /st-image-resize-initrd APPEND root=PARTUUID=e91c4e10-16e6-4c0e-bd0e-77becf4a3582 rootwait rw console=${console},${baudrate}    Then I successfully flashed my emmc0 and U-boot started the linux kernel. I have some thoughts about the UART output log.Does my processor communicate with my PMIC?Why could it not find the /stm32mp151a-stm32-computer-firmware-mx.dtb file at the beginning of the log?Is my Ethernet working? I cannot se any LED-lamp blinking when I plug in the cable, only the orange LED is active, but not blinking. Why doe

Hello, I am a little confused here, AN392 claims to run STM32C0 from a 5V power supply, directly from the main fed RCD dropper with a 5.6V Zener. But the datasheet says the maximum voltage is 4V.So does the AN suggest running way over max specs or is there something I miss?

Hello,     I have a custom board with STM32F407 CPU,  LSM6DSV16XTR accelerometer+gyroscope and LIS2MDLTR magnetometer.I aim to get board inclination and the position of the north using the magnetometer for a telescope. Using CubeMX, I have enabled the LSM6DSV16B and the LIS2MDLTR in the Middleware package. When generating, CubeMX removes the I2C1 initialization from main. But I need the I2C1 peripheral for other devices in the board, not only for MEMS. What is the correct way to manage this? Thank you.

I am working with the STM32F429 discovery board trying to prove out the ability to do OTA updates via a connected cell modem, but I am having trouble getting the MCU to boot from bank 2. I have created 2 simple freeRTOS applications which blink the onboard LEDs in different configurations and watch for a press of the user button to switch to the other memory bank. I have flashed each application individually at memory address 0x8000000 to verify that they execute properly. Then I flashed one application at 0x8000000 and the other at 0x8100000 using the STM32CubeProgrammer tool and then read out the memory at each location to verify that they were successfully programmed. Finally, I have tried a coupled different approaches to swapping the memory bank that is executed, but neither way has worked as expected. The first thing I tried was setting the BFB2 bit when the user button was pressed and then resetting. I verified that the BFB2 bit was successfully set, but when I reboot the board I

Hi, the STSPIN240 datasheet states that the absolute maximum ratings for logic input voltage should be between -0.3V and 5.5V. However, it is unclear whether the logic input voltage can exceed VS.Can the logic input voltage exceed VS?Thanks,

Hi!I am performing a calculation in an interrupt as this:L1L2_filteredTimeNegFlank = ((TIM_GetCounter(TIM16)*50) + 206*L1L2_filteredTimeNegFlank)>>8;But it seems like that it sporadically computes the wrong value and it disappears when I reformulate the calculation like this:L1L2_filteredTimeNegFlank = TIM_GetCounter(TIM16)*50;L1L2_filteredTimeNegFlank = L1L2_filteredTimeNegFlank + 206*L1L2_filteredTimeNegFlank;L1L2_filteredTimeNegFlank = L1L2_filteredTimeNegFlank>>8;Does anyone know why this happen?Thanks/Tomas

I am getting the above warning! I am unable to find what is causing the issue. If I comment the line number 5442, then no warnings or no errors. Help me resolve this issue.

Hello everyone,I have a problem while I'm trying to upload the firmware (the same while I'm trying to debug), I'm working on a project located in a folder that is not the default workspace folder. As you can see in the image below, when I press debug or run, this error message appears:When I try to compile and debug a project on the default workspace everything goes fine, this only happens when I'm on a project in a non-default location.I have checked after building the project (which works fine) that all the debug files are generated and they are.Can anyone help me?Thank you!

Hello, I hope you are doing well.I’ve developed a product using the STM32H573I-DK kit as a reference and the MXCHIP EMW3080 Wi-Fi module. We decided to design our new hardware in such a way that the Wi-Fi module could be connected just like in the dev kit, using the same PCB design provided on the STM website. Everything worked correctly, so we proceeded to purchase all the necessary materials for our new hardware. Now, here’s the problem: when we used our own Wi-Fi modules, we noticed that they didn’t work. I suspected it might be a firmware issue, and I found a way to update the firmware of the EMW3080 as described in this link: https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/x-wifi-emw3080b.html.Initially, I successfully updated the firmware on 8 assembled units. It’s worth mentioning that we purchased over 100 EMW3080 units directly from MXCHIP. However, after the first firmware update, the modules completely stopped responding, which led me to suspect that the bootloader might have been co

I have a software update project and I have two different codes. I want to combine the hex files of these two codes into a single file and finally lock the processor with the help of Option bytes. How can I do this?

I am new to the touchGFX ecosystem and I am trying to setup a touchGFX project to work with the STM32CubeIDE. I have looked at various other forum posts, youtube videos, and the touchGFX board bring up documentation to no avail. I can setup a basic project within the IDE but as soon as I add touchGFX I run into 182 undefined reference errors. I have tried starting the project in CubeMX with and without the generate under root box checked and I run into the same issues. I have noticed that by when I attempt to build the project many of my files are crossed out in the project explorer( see screenshot). I have attached a zip file of my attempt to create a blank project that just has touchGFX initialized and builds correctly. Thanks in advance
