Only the power supply via USB C CN6 allows booting with detection of the presence of voltage on GPIO PA5 and PA4. Is there a way to modify this control mode and be able to boot with a CN2 power supply? Is it possible to modify the FW so as not to read the two GPIOs ? Thank for help.

Hi all,I'm currently working on a project using the STM32H723 interface with SDRAM IS42S16400J. After booting up, I have to read a large JSON file [2MB] from flash into SDRAM then parse it to get the information. I wonder if I could allocating dynamic memory on SDRAM. Someone mentioned about modified linker and _sbrk function. But I don't know where to start.Could anyone give me an example or advice? Thank you so muchSincerely,

Hi, I've got a bit of an odd question but I'm hoping someone will be able to help or at least point me in the direction of some further information.I am currently looking at a project where we need around 10 PWM outputs so we were looking at using the HRTIM on a STM32G47x to simplify the setup and control as it supports up to 12 PWM output channels. The issue I have is that we want to use PWM frequencies down to around 100Hz, which I realise is generally the opposite end of the spectrum of the HRTIMs targeted use.The documentation states that input clock to the HRTIM has to be within 100 MHz to 170 MHz but even with 100 MHz input frequency, the slowest PWM output that can be generated is 381 Hz.I have run a quick test setting the HRTIM up with a 100 MHz input clock and configuring a couple of output PWM signals at 400hz. I then used the APB2 prescaler to reduce the HRTIM input frequency down to 25 MHz which does appear to successfully generate a 100 Hz PWM output. My question is...I

My project requires a RS-232 cable with TX inverted to connect the PC with CubeProgrammer CLI to STM32WB55. In application, I am able to configure the UART with "UART_ADVFEATURE_TXINVERT_INIT", and the STM32WB55 transmission works fine through the RS-232 cable, but does not work on bootloader, since by default the TX pin is not inverted.Any idea on how to workaround this?A custom bootloader is an option to consider, but since I am using CubeProgrammer I would like to use the default bootloader from ST.

Hi everyone,I have six STGAP1AS GDs with daisy chain SPI configuration. I can read all registers with their default values according to the datasheet but I can't write to any configuration register despite I followed to recommended configuration flow (datasheet p.49/70).Also got some errors in STATUS1-2-3 registers such as: SPI_ERR, REGERRL. Is there any example or advice to test GDs? I can provide all of register results, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Best,

I'm trying to redirect away from a screen during activate() based on some model state information before anything is shown on screen. But I've only managed to get it working on some screens and not others even though I'm following the same pattern everywhere (call function defined in modelListener>call model defined function> call FrontEndApplication::gotoScreenNoTransition() ).I feel like I'm missing something here. Is there an intended way to do this?

An existing project runs on STM32F091, it use CMSIS USART driver (ARM_DRIVER_USART Driver_USART1). Now I need to migrate this project to run on STM32G070. But in CubeMX for STM32G070, there aren't any USART driver under CMSIS driver, except a header file for customary implementation. So what is the best way to migrate UART functionality? Do I need to implement a similar CMSIS USART driver for G0 series? (CMSIS should be easier for migration, now it seems to cause more trouble.)

I've implemented a hello world project, by just using the default settings with CubeMX for the NUCLEO-H723ZG board, then disabling ethernet and USB-to-go, and then adding a yellow LED blink code. Full project and generated code, for STM32CubeIDE:http://www.frank-buss.de/tmp/cubemx-test.zipI then created an array:uint8_t buffer[100000];I can see in the "Build Analyzer" at bottom right that I still have 320 kB RAM_D1:But when I increase the buffer like this:uint8_t buffer[200000];Then I get this compile error:c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.6.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.9-2020-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: test.elf section `.bss' will not fit in region `RAM' c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.6.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.9-2020-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: region `RAM' overflowed by 70656 bytesSo how can I use the free RAM_D1. The processor controlling the bridge has a different power source than that powering the bridge VSa,b inputs. The grounds are the same. So it could be that the bridge would be unpowered, but the control inputs to the L6206 would have valid logic inputs on them. Would this damage the bridge chip, or is it able to handle this condition?

Need help in storing sequential gyroscope and accelerometer samples with associated timestamps in array when the FIFO compression is turned on. Ideally this should be the following entries:Timestamp1, AccelerometerX1, AccelerometerY1, AccelerometerY1, GyroscopeX1, GyroscopeY1, GyroscopeZ1Timestamp2, AccelerometerX2, AccelerometerY2, AccelerometerY2, GyroscopeX2, GyroscopeY2, GyroscopeZ2...TimestampN, AccelerometerXN, AccelerometerYN, AccelerometerYN, GyroscopeXN, GyroscopeYN, GyroscopeZN.The code should be in C (no lists), the IMU is LSM6DSO. Thanks!

Hi,I am wondering does ST Micro provides any example around unsupervisory Machine learning examples to implement on board learning using ST MEMS vibration sensor and STM32.As I can see Cartesiam provides some examples and the tools to does this work but, need to purchase their libraries /tools.It would be great help if some one have any suggestions on above topic. Thanks,Naveen

I am evaluate the STM32MP157C-DV2 board.I have disabled the weston service by referring to the link below.https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000cSKmXSAW/disable-weston-autostart-in-stm32mp157cdv2When boot with the weston service disabledThe two images below appear sequentially.I want to customize the boot screen to the image I want.I found the above images in the path below.layers/meta-st/meta-st-openstlinux/recipes-graphics/wayland/weston-init/Although I did find the path of the default boot images, I think it has nothing to do with weston-init because the weston service is inactive. The psplash recipe exists in the path below.layers/meta-st/meta-st-openstlinux/recipes-core/psplash/psplash-drm layers/openembedded-core/meta/recipes-core/psplashWhat recipe do I have to override in my custom layer to change the boot screen?

I'm learning STM32 by a NUCLEO-L053R8 board.  I want to put device to sleep (not LP Sleep, Stop or Standby) and wake it by either an interrupt or an event.int main() { // Clock and peripherals init // UART init (baud rate, GPIO, etc. are initialized before) EXTI->IMR &= ~EXTI_IMR_IM26; EXTI->EMR |= EXTI_EMR_EM26; USART2->CR1 = USART_CR1_TE | USART_CR1_RE | USART_CR1_RXNEIE | USART_CR1_UE; RCC->IOPENR |= RCC_IOPENR_GPIOCEN; RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_SYSCFGEN; GPIOC->PUPDR = (GPIOC->PUPDR & GPIO_PUPDR_PUPD13_Msk) | GPIO_PUPDR_PUPD13_0; // PC13 - user button GPIOC->MODER &= ~GPIO_MODER_MODE13; SYSCFG->EXTICR[3] = (SYSCFG->EXTICR[3] & SYSCFG_EXTICR4_EXTI13_Msk) | SYSCFG_EXTICR4_EXTI13_PC; EXTI->EMR |= EXTI_EMR_EM13; EXTI->FTSR |= EXTI_FTSR_FT13; EXTI->RTSR &= ~EXTI_RTSR_RT13;   while (1) { SysTick->CTRL &= ~SysTick_CTRL_TICKINT_Msk; __SEV(); __WFE(); __WFE(); SysTick->CTRL |= SysTi

Hello All ,I Am working On Interfacing M95M02 EEPROM With STM32 .Anyone Have Example Code for the same that is very helpful for me

Hi, I need to monitor variables from my program in CubeMonitor. I was able to follow a few videos from Youtube and set up the values in a chart. However, that is a very clunky interface. Please note that I have zero experience with nodered.

I'm trying to read the information from another RFID card, the idea is to send a request for it and receive the answer 00010203040506070809, the card that is sending this info is SIC4310-full using the ISO14443 protocol.I tried to use the function "mifareUlReadNBytes (uint8_t startAddr, uint8_t * readbuf, uint8_t length, uint8_t * actLength)" but the "readbuf" only returns me 0.I am sure that the other card (SIC4310-full) is working because through a mobile app I can verify its operation.I would like to know if I am using the correct RFAL lib function and how I can send this request to receive the information I want.Gabriel.

I have an STM32G474, but this encoder/timer behavior is likely similar for other MCUs. I have the timer set up in quadrature encoder mode on channels 1 and 2 and I'm using input capture on channel 3. This is tied to the encoder index so that it will latch the encoder value when the index occurs. This works but I also want to know when the first index has occurred. I tried reading CC3IF in the SR directly, but I've found it is temperamental. It seems to flag but only for a brief period. I'm not resetting any flags or writing to SR. Can anyone tell me about this use case and what behavior I should expect from CC3IF?Below is some code:class QEPEncoder final : public EncoderBase { public: QEPEncoder(TIM_TypeDef &regs) : EncoderBase(), regs_(regs) { regs_.SMCR = 3; // quadrature mode regs_.CCMR1 = (1 << TIM_CCMR1_CC1S_Pos) | (1 << TIM_CCMR1_CC2S_Pos) | // input selection (1 << TIM_CCMR1_IC1F_Pos) | (1 << TIM_CCMR1_IC2F_Pos); // filters at 1 regs_.CCMR2 = (

My evalboard seems to work. (I can flash the demo projects)But when I try to use the GUI, it does not detect the device. "No Firmware detected on motherboard..."It is successful to flash the Firmware STEVAL-IDB011V1/USB_CMSISDAP.hex but afterwards everything starts from the beginning. What can I do?

I'm designing a proto board for my application and can't use a discovery board since there isn't one for this chip. So I have to put debug capabilities on my board. However, I can't find documentation on how to hook it up to the processor once I've configured the processor with CubeMX. Questions I have include: which debug capabilities do I need to support, what connector type should I use, how to wire it up (I presume like the example in the STM32373C-EVAL schematics?), can I use these capabilities with the STLINK-V3SET, where is overall documentation on how to debug?Any pointers would be appreciated!

We are compiling the same project in two different computers, we are getting the same .hex file, but different .list and .map files. We would like to know why, as we need to share this project and we want it to be exactly the same.

Hi I have been using the kit for some time now and recently whenever I used this kit the reader suite didn't detect the eval board. Please tell me what could be the possible reasons.I have performed these particular tests all the voltages to the ICs are proper 3.3 & 3.6V are also proper ground is proper After downloading the firmware the LEDs on the board are glowing as they should but the board isn't being detected by the suite. This is the error shown afterwords.
