Hello,I am using an stm32mp157c-dk2 and browsed the stm32mp1 workshop MOOC : https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/support/learning/stm32-education/stm32-moocs/STM32MP1_workshop.htmlI tried launching the pre-configured VM given here : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1eHO37VljVpbTt-TBJFZ2-Yack5fZPj-vBut the updated archive files (OpenSTLinux-1.2, 2.0, etc.) are corrupted.This may be due to their extension (.7z.003 instead of .7z).Any way to fix this?Thanks.

I am using the STM32F303CB controller.System Clock - 72MHz APB1ENR - 72MHz for TimerI followed the below steps as per the reference manual.Timer2 Initialization: RCC->APB1ENR|= RCC_APB1ENR_TIM2EN;   TIM2->ARR = 72000-1;   TIM2->CCR1= 4000;   TIM2->PSC = 1000-1;   TIM2->DIER = TIM_DIER_CC1IE;   TIM2->CCMR1 = TIM_CCMR1_OC1M_0|TIM_CCMR1_OC1M_1;   TIM2->CCMR1 &= ~(TIM_CCMR1_OC1PE);   TIM2->CCER |= TIM_CCER_CC1E;   TIM2->CR1 |= TIM_CR1_CEN;   while (!(TIM2->SR & (1<<0)));   NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM2_IRQn);I have initialized the timer for 1 sec.My application wants the output compare feature for a timer period.For Example: When the counter matches with CCR1(4000) interrupt should raise and CCR1 is updated with new value CCR1(15000) vice versa.Did I made any mistake or need to do more steps.Please guide me.

I am using the SensorTile.box that I just received today. I am using the ST BLE Sensor app Version 4.10.0 on my Pixel 4a downloaded from the Google Play Store. I get the same error on my Pixel 1. The blue LED flashes when the attempt to load is being made. It tries for 10 s before the error window appears.

Hi,There is a problem with TouchGFX 4.16.1 vertical front line in dynamic graph by using STM32H7...When graph is initialized for first time, vertical front line have a shadow of it's last position until end of the graph and when it start from beginning, shadows are cleared by front line forward moving... When also changing screen and back to graph screen, shadows come back again....Please help me what is wrong here and how can I solve this...Thanks.

I'm using a Timer (TIM8) in a capture compare application for measuring timing between signals. In some cases I don't need the value so I have been skipping the read of the CCRx register. I'm using a HAL command as the code below shows:The HAL_TIM_ReadCapturedValue() simply reads the CCRx register.I'm counting on the Timer to continue running and the next IRQ will capture a timer value that would be the same whether or not the previous IRQ occurred. Is this a valid assumption?I realize the overflow flag will likely be set when I skip a read of the CCRx register but does this have any unforeseen consequences? if( htim->Instance == TIM8) { if (htim->Channel == HAL_TIM_ACTIVE_CHANNEL_1) { // toggle ref for viewing in ST GUI g_nFrefSignal = !g_nFrefSignal ;   // received REF edge which is 'PU', update state machine, switch (p_mPFD->State) { case COAST: p_mPFD->State = ACCEL; buffer1[0] = HAL_TIM_ReadCapturedValue(htim, TIM_CHANNEL_1) ;

I'm using a Nucleo-F746ZG with timer 2 as a quadrature encoder input. I'm feeding it quadrature signals from 2 GPIOs at 250Hz (each phase is 1mS).The CDR value is 0, so FDTS should be CLK_INT (36MHz for APB1). With both inputs' filter set to 8, the quadrature counter works flawlessly, counting from 0 to 10,000 and back to 0 for 60+ hours. A filter setting of 10 also works flawlessly. On my ancient 20Mhz scope the GPIO signals are very clean with a low drive setting. Setting the filter to 9 produces random, spurious counts. I'm not sure why this notch should exist. My calculations are that a filter of 8 takes 1.33uS to match, 9 is 1.78uS, and 10 should take 2.22uS. If 8 < 9 < 10 how does 8 and 10 work and 9 does not? Shouldn't a filter setting of 9 also have a 1000x chances to match the input (2mS / 1.78uS). I also see the filters >=12 start to prevent accurate counts. Again, these seem very fast compared to a 250Hz input signal and it seems they should all match OK. Thanks!!

TL;DR version:Is there a way to set/check the microcontroller software embedded pack you're using (ie stm32wb55 V1.11.1)?I was working on trying to get a Stop2 Low Power mode working and was running into some issues so I checked the forum. I came across as post by @Scott Lhr that it was easy as of version 1.8. Below is the thread it discussed this (if you're interested):He had mentioned it could be done in 4 lines:LL_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_STOP2); LL_LPM_EnableDeepSleep(); __WFI(); sysClkCfg();I tried the code but it didn't recognize the EnableDeepSleep command. I started looking through the *.h files and, sure enough, it wasn't there. I have several different package versions so I created a new project from scratch to see if it was there and it wasn't there in a recent one either. So, the question I eventually came down to was, how do I know what version I'm actually running? Can I switch between versions? I currently don't even know what framework my projects are running

In the datasheet, it gives a formula, R = (Vi(min)-Vxx -Vdrop(max)) / (IO(max)+Id(max))My IO is 0.1A, My output voltage is 5V. My input is currently 24V. I saw some discussion that I think I should consider the Vdrop to be 7V. Is Vxx the voltage I want after my resistor? Min input should be 7.5, but I was thinking 10-12V. I don't know what Id is.See Pae 27 of linkhttps://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/datasheet/41/4f/b3/b0/12/d4/47/88/CD00000444.pdf/files/CD00000444.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.CD00000444.pdf

Can we connect SENSEA/SENSEB pins to microcontroller ADC inputs to monitor the current in real time?

I saw below topics.How can i see discussion 71915817?***The datasheet doesn't specify how to convert register (OUT_TEMP_L (0Ch), OUT_TEMP_H (0Dh) ) data to actual temperature. let's say for example if reg 0x0c = 0x7 value and reg 0x0d = 0x00 value, then what will be the temperature.https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkeF4SAJ/lis2dh-raw-output-to-temperature-conversion***

Hi, I've got FreeRTOS and LwIP running on an STM32F746. The application has a TCP socket listening for incoming connections. Incoming connections are coming from multiple sources and unfortunately I'm seeing some of the connections get an ECONNRESET error. I've tried turning up the number of TCP connections but this only seems to make the time between these ECONNRESETs greater and does not get rid of them completely. I'm wondering what other LwIP parameters I can tweak to help resolve this?I was able to track down why the ECONNRESETs are happening. I've traced it to the "tcp_abandon" function getting called. The documentation indicates this function "Abandons a connection and optionally sends a RST to the remote host. Delete the local protocol control block. This is done when a connection is killed because of shortage of memory." I've tried tweaking the memory settings for LwIP but to no avail. Can anyone suggest settings to help with this?Thanks,Doug Burrell

Hello Community,I am using STM32H745 controller in one of my project.I am trying to send data from M4 core to M7 core using SRAM. To test the same I am increment a variable and writing to 0x10040004 location from M4 and reading the same location (also 30040004) in M7 at every 1 minute. However the variable do not reflect every time in M7.Below are the M7 logs from for the reference.1 Minute timer timeout devCount: 88 [0x10040004] tDevCount: 87 [0x30040004]1 Minute timer timeoutdevCount: 88 [0x10040004] tDevCount: 87 [0x30040004]1 Minute timer timeoutdevCount: 90 [0x10040004] tDevCount: 89 [0x30040004]Please let me know, If I need to configure anything for shared memory.Thanks and RegardsFYI:We have also tried below solution but still got failure :sad_but_relieved_face: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BVpPAqSQN/besteasiest-way-to-share-data-between-cores-in-stm32h745

I am using a ST25DV64K.I am trying to exchange data between the MCU on the board and Mobile Phone using I2C/RF and FTM.The RAM capacity of the MCU on the board is small, and I am trying to divide the RF Message and read it.For example, I am trying to send 100 bytes by RF Message, and MCU is trying to read by dividing this 100 bytes by 50 bytes + 50 bytes.First 50bytes: 2008h - 2039h2nd 50byte: 203Ah - 206BhAt this time, assuming that all I2C read msgs are received normally, will MB_CTRL_DYN becomes "81h"?Or MB_CTRL_DYN becomes "91h" because it don't read at once?BRMorooka

If Hang up I2C interface of the LIS2DH, How can i reset the device except VDD OFF/ON operation?I am considering to send 9-clocks to the SCL of the LIS2DH.

Hello,I am using the pedometer function in the LSM6DSOX. I want to change the debounce steps register value (default =10).I have changed the value to 15 but i am already seeing some delta steps = 11 (<15).Is there on order to change the debounce steps value?I'm doing like this:enable the accelerometerchange the debounce steps value in 0x84 registerenable the pedometer functionbest regardsYann

Hi,I am planning to implement DALI on STM32G MCU, I have looked at the documentation but all the example projects are with STM32L1 or STM32F1 and the library provided by STM is based on IAR workbench. My questions are Can I implement DALI Slave on STM32G MCU?Can I use the library files provided in DALI002(based on STM32L1) directly in my project?Thanks for your Help in Advance.Best Regards,Prasanna

I want to develop my own boot loader for STM32 MCU so is there any resources or video or example code for how to do this?

You can literally see the chip pinout being drawn scrolling down line by line, up to a minute to get it to refresh properly. I have other far more graphics-intensive CAD programs on the virtual machine and they run fine. Has anyone encountered this issue before?

I'm working on the NUCLEO-G071RB development board, using the IAR-EWARM (8.50.9) tool-chain.I've created a very basic program that only toggles user led (LD4) at 500ms intervals (using a wait loop with NOP instructions).The program doesn't use RAM (however it is initialized by the start-up code from IAR).With the RAM_PARITY_CHECK option bit set, the program runs as expected and the led blinks every 500ms.When i clear the RAM_PARITY_CHECK option bit (using STM32CubeProgrammer) the program doesn't run, and the debug environment of IAR points to address 0xFFFFFFE when i halt the processor.When the RAM_PARITY_CHECK option bit is restored (set) again, the program again executes as expected.What can be the cause of this strange behavior?

Now, using Dynamic Graph Widget in Touch 4.15. We only draw 4 lines, but somtimes picture does not smooth.It looks like it blocked somewhere, button action is delayed. At last we find render time become biger as line draws more. hoping for some help to make performance better. here is our trys:canvas buffer , I tried most large like 750KB, it won't help.mcu clock rate, make faster do help.but for battery reason, can'tdouble fram buffer, looks like no help

HiWe are using 95128-A125. It's datasheet provides "write cycle endurance" numbers for various operating temperatures. But there is a note that reads "The Write cycle endurance is defined for groups of four data bytes located at addresses [4*N, 4*N+1, 4*N+2, 4*N+3] whereN is an integer, or for the status register byte". Is the "status register byte write" considered as one write cycle regardless of address? For writing to any location within the EEPROM, we have to write to status register first (to set the bit WEL). Suppose we perform the following steps:Write to status register to set WEL, then write 32 bit data at address 0x0000.Write to status register to set WEL, then write 32 bit data at address 0x0010.Write to status register to set WEL, then write 32 bit data at address 0x0020.Q1: How many write cycles will be counted for address 0x0000? One? or two (because we wrote into the status register AND wrote to address 0x0000)?Q2: Since we wrote 3 times into the status register (but fo

I went through the MOOC part 6 and I thought of creating a new project for Nucleo -L476RG (from the scratch), I Created a new code using CubeMX (Use same pins ands USART) and followed the same steps as video 2,4 as describes. but once I use FLASH_SBSFU.xxxxxxx .bat it will end less than 1s and .sfb file is not generating. All the paths also created in the .bat file. Please can anyone help me

Can LPTIM1 be used to wake the STM32H7 from CSTOPoperating mode?From RM0455 the "RCC APB1 low-sleep clock register (RCC_APB1LLPENR" has the following bit: However the above mentions CSLEEP, not CSTOP which is a lower power operating mode.I think I can get the behaviour I want, timer based wakeup from CSTOP, using the RTC peripheral but for other reasons I want to do this with LPTIM1. Nothing I have tried towards this has worked.Thanks for any and all help.
