Solved

Hello everyone,I'm currently developing a project using Touchgfx on a custom board with a STM32F469II, external RAM/FLASH, SD card and a 1024x600 screen.I'm having trouble placing the frame buffer in the external RAM close to eachover. Right now, the following configuration in the "TouchGFXHAL.cpp" is working quite well:setFrameBufferStartAddresses((void*)0xC0000000, (void*)0xC0200000, (void*)0xC0400000);The parameters are as follow:- The first address is the start of the first frame buffer.- The second address is the start of the second frame buffer (use for multi-buffering).- The third address is the start of the animation storage space (use for slide transition between screen). All of them are placed in the external RAM space of the custom board which goes from 0xC0000000 to 0xC07FFFFF (8 MB).With that, a fourth and final space is added which is the dynamic bitmap cache which stores images from the SD card to be displayed over the screen with TouchGFX.Howerver, when I want to ma

Hi,I am using low end STM32L0 series MCU, I need to display a minimal text message on the TFT LCD display.STM32L0 doesn't have LCD engine, so can we write a code with GPIOs and display a text message. Please provide your feedback on this.

I am unable to configure FMC with SDRAM in latest STM32CubeIDE 1.6.1.Regardless of what I chose in the Mode section. Can someone guide me, what settings I have to perform?

Win 10, TouchGFX 4.16.1 Cube 1.6.1Disco 469 Board with 800x480 DSI touchscreenI have created a TouchGFX project and imported it into Cube (with the help of the video of EE by Karl youtube channel, since it's not an easy and obvious path). Now, I've created a pair of buttons and stuff in TouchGFX, found the generated code in ScreenRunViewBase.cpp (ScreenRun is the name of the screen with buttons). It's creating and adding buttons over there, setting their colors and coordinates and stuff, looks easy. The question is: I want to add buttons with my own code. Let's say I want to create a new array of buttons (or pointers to the button objects or whatever other way I can make a listed structure of them). Now, unfortunately, in the top of the file ScreenRunViewBase.cpp there is a message THIS FILE IS GENERATED BY TOUCHGFX DESIGNER, DO NOT MODIFY.So how am I supposed to modify the code then? When the screen opens (I know there is trigger for that), how do I actually CREATE a new button/containe

I want to implement double tap detection using LIS2HH12 accelerometer. It does not have in-built registers to implement it. Has anybody implemented it?

Hello everyoneI'm currently working on a research project concerning IMUs, among others a LSM6DS33 and a LSM9DS1 module. In the datasheet for the LSM6DS33 and LSM9DS1 a factory calibration is mentioned (e.g. bottom of page 40). Since nothing else is mentioned about these calibration values I have several questions:What exactly does this factory calibration entail and does the calibration change the sensor output? If so how do the calibration values affect the output of the sensor/which model is used for the calibration? Is it at all possible to obtain the uncalibrated sensor signals and how?It is mentioned that the registers containing the factory calibration values should not be changed, but not that they can't be changed. Is it at all possible (at own risk of course) to change/ reset these calibration values? It says in the Data sheet that they will be restored at the next boot anyways. The register mapping doesn't seem to provide the adress of these calibration values. Where are they s

HiI have a problem with TouchGFX on STM32H7B0 with external flash memory through OCTOSPI and TouchGFX 4.16. I try to make a screen with a debug console. It supposed to show debug logs from my application. The screen consists of 18 TextArea objects (lines of the console), one CustomContainer (4 TextAreas) and a fullscreen Box (background). I wanted to add one more object (SlideMenu). When I did it my application broke up - after startup I get this kind of random image: Then the debugger looses the connection to STM32 and I can't do anything. I tried increasing the stack size of the task running TouchGFX but it didn't help. Can you please help me? Regards,Piotr

Hi!I measure the frequency signal on the input of STM32F373. General Purpose Timer in Input Capture configuration is being used to do so. But when the rising edge width of the input signal is around 110 ms, I detect some extra, unexpected pulses. I suspect signal voltage to be in the Undefined range.STM32F373xx datasheet on page 84 states that Schmitt trigger hysteresis has 100 mV for FT and FTf I/O.I could find information neither in documentation nor on the Internet about the details of the hysteresis. Is it outside the range, inside or maybe symmetrically distributed around VIL, VIH values? Thank you in advance for any information.

Hello community,I am trying to implement a simple people counter using a VL53L1X-SATEL on a breadboard with esp32. My problem is that I am confused about the wiring. I've read the data brief but as I am not an expert in electronics I cannot figure it out. Has someone done it? Can you post a picture of your circuit so I can understand the wiring?Thank you in advance

HelloSampling data from the IIS3DWB accelerometer over the course of a couple of seconds, when the device is completely stationary, on the 16g range, the peak-to-peak readings on each axis are:p2p x = 0.0566gp2p y = 0.0634gp2p z = 0.1215gThese seem to be quite excessive detected movements; and assumed it was the noise floor (!!!) of the device. A bit of digging on these forums suggested enabling the LPF2; which I did, at ODR/100. The results improved, to:p2p x = 0.0151gp2p y = 0.0122gp2p z = 0.0166gBut these too still appear quite large given the completely static nature of the device. Are these results to be expected? Is this the noise floor of the MEMS device, ADC, other internal circuitry?Kind regardsGary Partis

I want to move the isr vector table to SRAMRelated to this questionI moved my isr vector table to SRAM (linker script)Now i want to aliase the memory addr of 0x0000 0000 to be found in SRAM.In order to do that i believe i need to change the bits from SYSCFG->CFGR1=0x03, and they need to stay that way for the next tme the system reboots to look for the isr vector table in SRAM.My problem is , SYSCFG->CFGR1==0 every new reboot, even if i changed to 0x03Where can i find info about how to set SYSCFG->CFGR1 MEM_MODE bits ?I found this so far:source of the image

So I have this STM32F750 Discovery board with RMII Ethernet connection and I have another H745 Discovery with MII Ethernet.I am trying the same project in both of them, and it's working in MII but not in RMII.I tried every possible solution I can think of, like the MPU configurations, different memory locations for the DMA Descriptors, with/without RTOS, but never got it working with the RMII.The code executes fine, the Tx Buffer is updating fine, but somehow the connection is not working.

Hi gang. My application uses from 0 to 3 UARTs, or maybe USB CDC instead ... LOTS of end-user settable options. Even before I get to that, I'm not happy with my queue implementation that's to be used with UART (or CDC) Tx and Rx. I would love for the enqueue function below to be part of queue structure itself, but really any ideas or pointers would help. // Queue type (lost about using functions in it): typedef struct { uint8_t *buffer; uint32_t size; uint32_t head; // Enqueue data using the head index. uint32_t tail; // Dequeue data using the tail index. uint32_t count; //bool (*enqueue)(uint8_t *buffer, const uint8_t entry); // Fail //bool (*enqueue)(Queue_T *queue, const uint8_t entry); // Fail } Queue_T;     // Test data uint8_t TestBuffer[16]; Queue_T MyQueue;     // IN USE: Initialize a queue... MyQueue.buffer = TestBuffer; KeyQueue.size = 16; QueueInit(&MyQueue);   // IN USE: enqueue a byte: QueueEnqueue(&TestBuffer, 47);     // Init fu

We are using Vl53L0x for distance measurement up to 20 cm. While testing with filter glass (recommended by ST) we observed result deteriorate by 1mm for few measurement areas against results without filter glass. Now I will work cross talk calibration, some software filter in order to overcome 1 mm deterioration of result. From ST side, if you provide some input on this deterioration and possible solution to overcome same then it will helpful to us.

I wanted to use this sensors for person detection in Washroom pipe & urinal applications. I have tried different models of housings for sensor. But so many times, the taps are automatically turned on without any persons. So can anyone suggest me recommend protection ratings, instructions, dimensions, materials to be followed for using this sensor. In this type of application. If possible send examples images & 3D model for reference

VL53L1X has VCSELs and 16x16 SPADsWhat I am curious about is the order of operation when reading 16x*16 SPADs one by one.1. VCSEL on2. Read SPAD[0,0] value3. VSCEL off4. VSCEL on5. Read SPAD[1,0]6. VSCEL offwhether or not1. VSCEL on2. Read SPAD[0,0]3. Read SPAD[1,0]....n. VSCEL offWhich of the two?

We're currently evaluating a VL53L1X sensor underwater (in a sealed housing) , but beyond 2m IR light is absorbed too much. A ToF sensor based on 532nm would achieve better results. Which options exist other than 940nm?

Hello guys,I have this painfull problem:When I want to create a new project, after choosing the board and the name of the Project clicking on "Finish"doesn't show the window wher can choose to load the default mode of the peripherals, but instead load immediatly the blank configuration.I'have tried other versions of cube and to delete "\Repository"but nothing is changed. Please any sudgestion?

I am able to send the data but unable to receive from USB HID Demonstrator.Here is my code:uint8_t USBD_CUSTOM_HID_ReceivePacket(USBD_HandleTypeDef *pdev){ USBD_CUSTOM_HID_HandleTypeDef *hhid; if (pdev->pClassData == NULL) {  return (uint8_t)USBD_FAIL; } hhid = (USBD_CUSTOM_HID_HandleTypeDef *)pdev->pClassData; /* Resume USB Out process */ (void)USBD_LL_PrepareReceive(pdev, CUSTOM_HID_EPOUT_ADDR, hhid->Report_buf,                USBD_CUSTOMHID_OUTREPORT_BUF_SIZE); for(uint8_t i=0;i<1;i++)  {   rx_data[i]=hhid->Report_buf[i];  }if(rx_data[0]==1) HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOE, GPIO_PIN_1); if(rx_data[0]==2)  HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_14); return (uint8_t)USBD_OK;}__ALIGN_BEGIN static uint8_t CUSTOM_HID_ReportDesc_FS[USBD_CUSTOM_HID_REPORT_DESC_SIZE] __ALIGN_END ={/* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ 0x06, 0x00, 0xFF,

We are using VL53L0x for measuring piston position inside syringe. We consider piston position at bottom of syringe as reference position. As we move piston to top, the difference between actual and measured reading start increasing. At bottom difference around 0 mm. As we move piston up, the difference start increasing to around 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm.we feel the behavior is due to piston surface facing to sensor in our application. It is not flat but cone type. Time of flight change and we observe variation is actual and measured reading. Is our understanding correct? We found VL53L0X_SetLinearityCorrectiveGain. Will this API useful for our observation? What is the purpose of this API?

We are working on an application where we are making VL6180X detect an approaching hand towards it. We would like to understand how can this application work when sensor is covered by an opaque black film. Is there a special calibration required? The hand movement is being done behind the opaque black film. Will it ever detect such movement? Would appreciate appropriate technical support.

I'm completely new to the embedded software and want to use STM32WB for my project, which will send image data from USART camera to the mobile phone. For now, I'm researching about BLE (protocols, characteristics etc.) and have no clue about how to use it. I've read the application note AN5289 and it didn't work well for me. Where can I start researching? What should I do?Thanks.

Hi,I am using the STM32MP157F-DK2 MPU for a Linux project. Exactly, I am interested in Linux-RT. Browsing in the Internet, it is said that only is necessary applying a patch in the kernel. The patch file uses the command "git diff", but is not installed in the kernel. My goal is install it, however, "apt" is not either installed, so I have to make the install with "dpkg" - something completely caotic.HELP! Is there any way to install "apt" or "yum"? If not, how can I install "git" command so that applying the patch? Thanks,Oscar

Hi! I lm using lwip + freertos and STM32F429 and Cube IDE. When I transfer 906B by netconn_write its transfer this data partly. I tried increase all possibiilities of defines but unsuccesssfull. Please help who knows.

I am running v1.6.1 of STM32CubeIDE.When target selector is run using File/New/STM32 Project it does not list any examples for STM32L4R9I-EVAL even though I can find them in the L4 repository.I ran Update TTarget Selector DB and no change. Is it possible to have these show up in target selector or should I just manually copy them into a base EVAL project? Thanks,
