Hello, I am using Nucleo-H743ZI ,I am using timer1 to trigger ADC.My APB1 clock frequency is 240MHz and my ARR register is 240 of timer 1. So my sampling rate of ADC should be 1Msamples/sec. To check it I am toggling a pin whenever ADC conversion complete is done. Instead of 1Msamples/sec I am getting around 250Ksamples/sec what might be the issue. For low PWM frequency the relation (TIMER1_freq=APB1_frequency/ARR) is working fine as I decrease ARR my PWM output is not following above formulae. Can anyone help me out what might be the issue?

Hi, ST Community.I have a question about NC pin of M24C16.Is there any problem to connect NC pin to ground?Best regards.

NFC Tag: ST25DV64KVI2C host: STM32G474I write 5 bytes data 0xA,0xB,0xC,0xD,0xE in FTM mailbox and I want to read these data through ios NFC Tap app, so I enter FTM - Data Transfer, disable Write/Read MailBox Buffer and tap start to read, it takes very long time then show unknown callback..Please help! Thanks in advance.

I downloaded the STM32WB MCU Fw pack through  https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWB.git. Then, I used STM32IDE v 1.10.1 to compile BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS project. It is complied successfully. Then, I used Device Configuration Tool to update the Pins for USART1 to PA9 and PA10 by accessing BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS.ioc in the IDE. Besides this change, I had no other changes in Device Configuration Tool. After I saved the change, the code was automatically updated. However, when I complied it again, it shows a lot of errors as the attachment. I do not expect the change of Pins configuration will cause the whole project fail to compile. I also attached the git diff after the Device Configuration Tool change the code for the analysis.Any comments are welcome! Thanks!

I am using NUCLEO-STM32F446re board. It runs at 180MHz SYSCLK and ADC uses APB2CLK that can run at a maximum frequency of 90MHz. I am using STM32CubeIDE and the clock configuration looks as follows:My ADC setup looks as follows:My DMA setup: Just before the while loop I call ADC to start with DMA. /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ volatile uint16_t adcResultsDMA[2]; const int adcChannelCount=sizeof(adcResultsDMA)/sizeof(adcResultsDMA[0]); /* USER CODE END PV */    ...... ...... ...... ...... int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)adcResultsDMA, adcChannelCount); /* USER CODE END 2 */   /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { ....... } }And the complete call back function I toggle a PIN and start ADC with DMA again.void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, time_meas_Pin); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)adcResultsDMA, adcChannelCount); }QuestionWhen I us

We are trying to verify the signature generated by the STM signing tool. From this link, in the table for "On STM32MP15x lines", we need to know what data type is used for each field when the signature hash (sha256) is created so we can replicate it.

Hi,Once I flash the base firmware(STM32cube_FW_WL_V1.0.0) in the RAK3172 module, I view the serial print. It displays Europe frequency… then I open the firmware(STM32cube_FW_WL_V1.0.0) and check the file named lora_info.c… in the file Europe and US regions have been enabled. Therefore, I will command Europe and the US region, then I will un-command the Indian region in lorawan_conf.h.Then I run and flash it in the RAK3172 module.Nonetheless, I am faced with this error.ERROR: Region is not defined in the MW: set lorawan_conf.h accordingly. If I need to add any configurations or parameters to lorawan_conf.h?Please guide me on how to resolve this problem. I attached the screenshots belowThank You

Hi,i'm needing to save the date and time on RTC backup register constantly (like once every second) in order to restore the saved time if the MCU was reseted, but im not sure if this registers could be written so constantly.

I was analyzing stm32mp15 disco and eval board schematics for my project. I noticed that DDR pinning are not the same between them. Disco boards have 512MB and EVAL boards have 2x512MB. My project also going to have two variants. I wanted to know why pinouts of these two schematics are different and can I use same pcb for both of my variants with one 1x512 and other with 2x512. (1x512 will have two locations on the pcb but only one chip. Is it possible?)

Hello!I'm working on a STM32H743I use a USB DEVICE driver (pins PB14 and PB15) : only AF12 is possibleI also use a SD card driver (PC8 ... PC12) : only AF12 is possible(Alternate function mapping is described in the datasheet https://www.mouser.fr/datasheet/2/389/stm32h743vi-1760857.pdf page 89)But I did not find this information: is it possible to use the same alternate functions for 2 different peripherals, on 2 different ports? Thanks a lot for your help!Jean

I am trying to transmit repeatedly using HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(). The first transmit works. All following fail. The HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback() does not fire. All information I can find on this says you have to check the box 'USART1 global interrupt/...After checking that box I get the error:multiple definition of `USART1_IRQHandler'; ./Application/User/stm32f30x_mc_it.o:C:/Software/STM32CubeIDE/STM32-20220817_mcrot/Src/stm32f30x_mc_it.c:147: first defined here.Searching for 'usart1' in stm32f30x_mc_it.c reveals there is no such definition. In fact the only mention of this function is in the startup file and stm32fxx_it.c. There is a definition for USART_IRQHandler in stm32f30x_mc_it.c.I'm using the reference manual UM1786. Is there something better? The section 'How to use this driver' on p. 598 is not much use because after generating the code with CubeMX it is not clear what still needs to be done.So do I need to enable global interrupts and if so, how do I get past this issue?

Hi!I'm starting a hostless BlueNRG-M2 application (this application runs directly on BlueNRG-M2's Cortex-M0, not on an external MCU).I was able to find and run the example projects using the "STSW-BLUENRG1-DK" package, but I did not find a way to configure the pins and build a base project using CubeMX.I was wondering if there is support for this MCU on CubeMX or not. Because right now I'm using the examples to build my own application, and I'm not sure if that's the right approach. Thanks!

If I try to use the import comand, from File menu of STM32CubeIDE, to load an example selecting "import STM32Cube example" option I can't load a project only available in source form. The window that open, were we have a list of available projects for a specific board, in my case NUCLEO_L152RE, only shows the example projects (I think) that have a predefined project structure. Then for me it is non sense to put examples in MCU package extension that I can't use. Or, and this is the wrost, if I want to use it I have to choose a way to convert this example project from a toolchain format; a way abssurdely complicated.I kindly ask help to solve this problem or someone to tell me that isn't possible to do what I want. Thanks in advance.

I have a scroll wheel containing a dynamically-created list of items that I would like to be able to traverse using swiping or dragging motions. When the desired item is in view, I want the user to be able to select it with a touch press, just like you would with a button.According to the API documentation, the public function setItemSelectedCallback is supposed to be called when the selected item is clicked. The setAnimateToCallback is supposed to be called when the scroll wheel animates to a new item. I have set both of these up, but I get both callbacks every time the AnimatedTo item changes. In other words, I can swipe down on my list, and when the animation stops, I always get both callbacks, even though I did not click on any item. This seems like improper behavior. How do I get a 'clicked-on' item? I do realize that the 'clicked-on' item will be animated to become the selected item. I just don't want to get the SelectedItemCallback from a swipe or a drag.FYI, I have modified the

Hi,I am using a STM32H7B3I_DK board with a graphics app using TouchGFX. I'm only using 7% of this and would like to use the top end of this memory to store system tuneable parameters, WiFi SSID's, controller tuning parameters etc.Has anyone done this or something similar?I understand you have to switch memory modes to erase and write.I could work it out, but I'm a bit pressed for time so if someone has done it that would help me greatly. I would have used the battery backed (4k) ram on the MPU, but sadly the designer didn't make this available, you have to cut tracks to separate the Vbat from Vdd.I am developing a project using the Inventek WiFi module which I intend to post when I've finished the documentation (README). I will incorporate the OCTO Spi code into this as a working project for others to use.RegardsRob

Hello we are using STM32mp153 for multiple products, and I'm considering buiding a generic TF-A bootloader with one device tree with all the clocks enabled for all the peripherals. I would like to do this in order to make it more generic across our portfolio.Does this come with any potential problems down the line?

I Have STM32F746 Disco and i have a memory section that sould be initialized to zero.and the aim behind this is to keep the memory content whenever the board is rest.but unfortanlty, this section is being clear every time i restart the debuger.the section is holding structure which is defined as the following:PROBE_strExceptionInfoType objstrExceptionInfo __attribute__ ((section (".ramException")));i tried the same criteria with STM32F3 and STM32F4 and it worked but it didn't work with STM32F7the linker is attached.Any idea?Best Regards,

Hi,I use STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe on windows. I can use it from python like that:process = subprocess.Popen( ["STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe","-l"], text = True, shell=True, cwd=self.cubeProgPath,stdout=subprocess.PIPE)How can I use it on Ubuntu? On Ubuntu in installation folder of CubeProgrammer I found "STM32_Programmer_CLI (size 2.6 MB) is that what I am looking for? How can I run it from terminal? When I open terminal in that destinantion and write and write "STM32_Programmer_CLI" it returns command not foundThank you for any help.

Is there a possibility to fire DMA transfer on a positive edge on the GPIO pin (PA3) ?

Hi. I have a board: SparkFun Thing Plus - STM32 - SparkFun DEV-17712Can I run the project directly via USB on this board? In stm32cubeprogrammer, I connect normally via USB, unfortunately in STM32CubeIDE, I have an error: No ST-Link Detected. I don't have the st-link / v2 programmer.

Hey, mechatronics student here. So ive been trying to make the transition from Arduino to STM32 lately, and am a little overwhelmed by hardware-oriented programming. So I can get things like Blink running, and know my way around C good enough to have done some smaller things already, but I want to start using little more complex peripherals now.I thought about using a 240x240 TFT display, driven with the ST7789 chip, and I wanted to do very basic things for the beginnning - like painting dots (single pixels) for the beginning. But thats where it already starts to get a little too complex for me. With the Arduino, you have libraries and those libraries (like TinyTFT for the Arduino) handle the communication to the peripheral (TinyTFT is utilizing SPI aswell), so you just need to tell it what to do - paint a pixel, row 2 column 6 or whatever. So my first guess is that I would need to write such functions similar as in said libraries myself - no problem, effortwise. Now ive read through the

I need the RTC module to be enabled in order to write to & read from backup registers on STM32F401 using these functions:void HAL_RTCEx_BKUPWrite(RTC_HandleTypeDef *hrtc, uint32_t BackupRegister, uint32_t Data) uint32_t HAL_RTCEx_BKUPRead(RTC_HandleTypeDef *hrtc, uint32_t BackupRegister)However, the datasheet states that the lowest backup battery drain current (IDD_VBAT, typ. 0.1uA) can be achieved when RTC and LSE are off.So is there a way to use the backup registers as a general memory while RTC is off?
