Can anyone post any code that can help me here please, or suggest me how to move forward

I am having a problem with an LIS3DH device on a common SPI bus with a serial flash memory chip. I am wondering if I may be doing something that I should not. The two devices share a common SPI bus (SPC, SDI and SDO). The LIS3DH and the memory each have individual CS lines. All works fine until I try to access particular memory locations in the serial flash. It seems as if the LSI3DH is, while it's CS is high, listening to the SPC and SDI lines and treating them like I2C SCL and SDA lines. Then under very particular pattern conditions, when I would have liked the LIS3DH to remain "silent", it detects an I2C Start condition. And so, some number of clock cycles later, I see the SDI (SDA) line being pulled down (fighting against the microcontroller, which was trying to keep it high at that point.)I am thinking that, because the "CS" line on the LIS3DH is really an interface mode selector (I2C/SPI), it is unsafe to use LIS3DH devices on a common SPI bus (with ANY other device) Any comments/

Hello and thank you for your help ahead of time.I am working on a vehicle detection product using the LIS2MDL and noticed a strange anomaly with the Z-axis when I was testing for stability over temperature. Showm in the attached photo, the Z-axis randomly become very noisy until i moved a piece of ferrous metal near the sensor, at which point it stopped. It was only the z-axis too, all others remained very stable as can be seen in the graph. It should also be noted that this behavior was rare and doesn't happen every time im evaluating the stability. This behavior is very undesirable if it would happen randomly on the final product.Any idea on what could be causing this? Could the Pin 5 Capacitor trace length cause this? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your help.

I think that this board can measure precision current. So I want to use full range of current.I see "*range_ma 200" command via UART comm monitoring. As per page4 of schematic, board can be configured x100 gain.I'd like to increase current measurement range. Can you provide UART command which can increase current measurement range?(I want to know UART command each gain.)Thank you.Justin.

For a certain app that acquires at 1hz temperature and accelerometer data, I measure that SPI consumes 2.2% more power than I2C. How do I make SPI perform better as it is supposed to. My settings are 104Hz conversion, 4 lines SPI at 1mbps (781 kbps actual) or 2 line I2C (400 kbps) , +/-8g, 1 hz acquisition, 1.75V supply, 12kOhm SDA/SCL pullup for I2C.

We have used MEMS Sensor LIS302DL in our older customer project. Part LIS302DL is obsolete. Please advice suitable replacement part.Important consideration for replacement :1) require equivalent part operate at 3.3V,2) use same software driver as LIS30DL. Meaning work with existing firmware.

Hi,The STEVAL-MKI109V3 datasheet says that it supports the LSM6DSOX on the STEVAL-MKI197V1, but I get the following error in UNICO GUI saying that it is not supported by the motherboard.Any idea how I should troubleshoot this? Thanks.

Hi! I am trying to establish a SPI comm with an LIS2DE12 accelerometer. First, I would like to say that I have checked phase, polarity, msbFirst and CS. I am using an EM9304 as the master of the communication, and the spi clock frequency is aproppriated.Writing or reading from the sensor, makes it sends an weird symmetrical waveform in to MISO pin.(This waveform is equal to the LIS2DE12 ID (0X33 = 00110011))I had tried many different registers (writing and reading) and the sensor only send this signal. PS: Both images corresponds to clock and MISO. The MOSI signals was checked too and it is sending the correct bytes to the sensor.

Hi,I'm trying to get the heading direction from the compass of LSM303AGR, I'm getting the X,Y,Z data and configured the compass and the accelerometer.I just preform a atan2(y,x) function and not using any filtering or compensations. I wanted to see data that going around +-180 deg when spinning the compass and 180 deg different when i spin the compass to other direction. But i'm getting very strange reading and cant understand what is wrong.Looking for advice :\Attach the compass data, the Y,X raw from the compass (without the sensitivity adjustment) and the atan2 result.

Hi I´m working with LI2DTW12 acelerometer chip. I trying to configure the sensor to generate an interruption in the INT_1 when the device detect an aceleration in the Z axis. I have configure the device registers in the following way:uint8 array_registers_LIS2DTW12[]={0x20,0x25,0x23,0x34,0x35,0x3F};uint8 config_registers_LIS2DTW12[]={0x20,0xD0,0x20,0x04,0x60,0x22};But when the LIS2DTW12 generate the interruption on the INT_1 and I read the SATATUS register I saw 0x01. That mean that I have a data ready. And when I reas the WAKE_UP_STATUS register all the bits are 0. Could anybody help me with this matter?I not sure I have configured the registers in the correct way or how to read the interruption pin properly.Thank you for your time and help.

Currently having some issues reading the temperature correctly from the HTS221 sensor.The Coefficients read as follows.H0_T0_OUT = 0x5246H0_rH_x2 = 0x57H1_T0_OUT = 0x0000H1_rH_x2 = 0x95T0_OUT = 0x0000T0_degC_x8 = 0x27T1/T0 MSB = 0x4BT1_OUT = 0x0000T1_degC_x8 = 0x20Outputs:H_OUT = 0x1469T_OUT = 0x09EDThe humidity seems to be working fine but the temperature does not appear to be correct. Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks,Matt

Hello,I have a question related to accuracy of this sensor see attachmentFrom the datasheet I can read that the accuracy over temperature is +/2.5hPa. Did I correctly understand that the accuracy of the sensor can change within this range only in this given range of temperatures 0-65C ? But in this case what is the reason to bake in the temperature compensation ?Second in order to reduce the variation you suggest to run OPC ( one time calibration ) to get better +/- 1hPa accuracy. Could you explain the procedure how this calibration should be done? Any suggestion...Third question is related to the long time stability which you stating is around +/-1hPa over year. In this case also do you have any recommendation how to address this changes ?Last observation: all this numbers are connected to 1.8V @ 25C Test conditions. So how this condition are connected with the specified ranges of the temp from 0C to 65C ? Second could you share how input voltage can affect those values ( in my case I

From what I understand, the slave device I want to communicate with has many addressed registers than I need to specify in addition to the slave device's address. If the slave device's address is 0x16, and the registers I need to read on that device range from between 0x01 to 0x82, how do I select the specific registers?Example: HAL_SMBUS_Master_Transmit_IT(SMBUS_HandleTypeDef *hsmbus, uint16_t DevAddress, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t XferOptions)I only see room for the slave device's address, not any specific register?I am clearly missing something here, a quick sample of how to get the info from slave device 0x16 register 0x01 would be much appreciated. It should be noted that the battery monitor IC I am using is running off of SMBus 1.1, and it seems that the STM32L4 uses SMBus 2.0. I am not sure of the backwards compatibility, but am hoping for the best.Thank you for your help,Joseph

Why should one need something more, if a lot of everyday-life applications are already available by default as examples? Different reasons, indeed:Power optimization: Individual sensors can be activated or shut down to enable only the required sensor setHard-iron compensation and offset cancelling: SensorTile.box can be individually calibrated after final assembly & positioningPattern recognition, accuracy: Neural network and dedicated sensor fusion options can be activatedExpert mode allows user to create his own application / algorithm by using Expert View in ST BLE Sensor application (here you can find the app source code!). Please present the junction temperature rating of IIS2MDCTR,Is it generally the same as the storage temperature?

HI,I've problems on the temperature detected by the LSM9DS1. I used the "Unico" software to configure the Acc/Gyro and the Magnetometer, in particular I used the "Easy configuration button".I read the temperature (Unico page Acc/Gyro Registers) from registers OUT_TEMP_L/OUT_TEMP_L and the values are:OUT_TEMP_L: around 3-7 (in hex)OUT_TEMP_H: always zero (it's ok)I'm in office and at the moment the temperature is around 24°C. Is something I'm missing? Thanks,Giorgio

The datasheet for the device does not state the order of the LPF filters in the stop band. Should I assume it's 20dB/Decade attenuation?Thanks.Anthony.

I want to add this sensor to stm32f1 https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/33036852017.html?src=google&albslr=222492145&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&aff_platform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&&albagn=888888&albcp=1626568036&albag=65942329430&trgt=800756788226&crea=pt33036852017&netw=u&device=c&gclid=Cj0KCQjwuNbsBRC-ARIsAAzITuc5rhZwMcfSjnbsi29-5_D-9N_J0fYj2cpW8-uwoA3kSIUGIBSNh9oaAl3JEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

The HTS221 can handle condensation, according to the data sheet.According to that, I understand that water will not damage the sensor.(I refer to the sensing area on top, to the contacts on the bottom.)Is this correct?

I am attempting to evaluate the LSM6DSOX IMU using the combination of MKI109V3, MKI971V1, and Unico. This is the same combination shown in several of ST's YouTube videosAll of the products are new and have not previously been installed or used.I have installed the virtual com port drivers and the virtual comport is detected correctly. However, when I hold down button3 and reset in order to enter DFU mode as described in the user guide, My device does not show up under "USB Controller-> STM device In DFU Mode" as described. Instead, my eval board is showing up under "Universal Serial Bus Devices -> STM32 BOOTLOADER"This device is not detected by DFuse, so I cannot modfiy the firmware on the boardIf I attempt to use the device directly in Unico, upon selecting the sensor evaluation, I receive and unsupported errorAny idea what could be wrong or missing?

Till now, the described application are already-packed apps that can be simply downloaded on the Sensortile.box with just a click. Expert mode allows you to create your own application/algorithm by using Expert View in ST BLE Sensor application. We are at the intermediate step towards the Pro Mode use of the ST.box tool. The developer uses a graphical app on his smartphone to:Define additional applications, like in lego bricks;Build his own application, without programming. But how to do it in a smart-enough way? Stay tuned :soon_arrow:

It's returning ack on the i2c on every command , and i'm getting an error if it's not the correct address.I'm attaching image from the scope of the i2c commands and responses. The configuration done first and then I'm reading the temperature that it always zeros. Also when I'm reading the config registers I'm also getting zeros. Please advice. Thanks.

I've tried to use LIS2MDL with interrupts without success. What needs to be done, and does it work with continuous mode?It looks (by the data sheet) like enabling the DRDY (bit 0 in CFG_REG_C) would be enough, but seems not.It looks like DRDY is not an interrupt, although also tried setting INT_on_PIN in CFG_REG_C and IEN in INT_CTRL_REG, but no success. The thing works fine if I read it cyclically using a 100 ms timer.
