Posted on April 12, 2016 at 10:56Hello, I want to embedd the BlueNRG-MS firmware in my main application controller flash. Therefore I have to convert the .img firmware file to a binary file. Is there a converter program for this kind of work?

Posted on May 23, 2016 at 11:15I'm working with the X-NUCLEO-IDB05A1 with the BlueNRG-MS on it.I follow the quick start guide (Version 1.4) and on the ''Evaluate BlueNRG using a GUI'' section when starting the BlueNRG GUI (Version 1.9) it asked me to upgrade the BlueNRG firmware.I run the BlueNRG Updater and tried to program the firmware version that come with the BlueNRG DK 1.9.0 under firmware directory (I tried both the 16MHz and the 32MHz) but after a successful (allegedly) flashing at the verify stage it fail in the middle (I tried more then once) with an error message HCITimeoutError.Please advise  #bluenrg-ms

Posted on May 10, 2016 at 21:22I just purchased a couple modules (SPBT2632C1A) for Blue Tooth 3.I'm trying to familiarize myself with them before they are arrive and there seems to be a lack of information out there.The DS provides some basic info, the UM talks about the AT commands, but there really doesn't seem to be an Users Guide in the sense of how to do anything?Some of the GPIO pins have a predefined functions such as Connection Status Probe / Active Status Probe.........but no where does it explain what those are.Is there another doc I am missing?  Can someone point me to the right place to ask or where I might find the right docs?Thanks

Posted on January 30, 2016 at 00:07Hi, We are encountering the following issue: after some time (minutes), the module is not visible by Android phones anymore, but is still visible by other iPhones or BlueNRG-MS devices. The time after this happens seems highly correlated with the Advertising Interval used (the shorted the interval, the shorted the time after which the device is not seen by Android). The only solutions to see the module on Android after this are: - hardware reset of the BlueNRG-MS module - using 'offloaded' scan on the Android devices Is STMicro aware of such issue and is there any solutions? Posted on April 22, 2016 at 16:07In some conditions i have problems with BlueNRG based device - it fails, don`t enter to low consumption mode, drains the battery. In FW Release Notes i saw a lot of errors and i need some workaround to guarantee reliable work of my device. How can i check operability of the BlueNRG chip from my Application? What command can show me that BlueNRG stack works properly to reboot it if problem occured.

Posted on March 28, 2016 at 09:43Hi, We're using Nucleo-L4 with X-CUBE-BLE1 Expansion SW with lower mode enabled. The 32L4 HSE XTAL input is driven by external oscillator. We would like to disable the external clock during low power mode of 32L4 and enable when 32L4 comes out of low power mode. Posted on April 15, 2016 at 00:13Hi    I think I found a bug in aci_att_find_information_req which always returns BLE_STATUS_TIMEOUT for me. This function creates a hci_request variable, fills it with zeros, and then sets all fields except ''event''. Then in hci_send_req function, case EVT_CMD_STATUS: gets asserted, and if (r->event != EVT_CMD_STATUS) condition is checked and met (since event == 0). Then, in the next iteration of while loop, I get BLE_STATUS_TIMEOUT.    If I initialize hci_request::event field to EVT_CMD_STATUS, function works, and I successfully got an UUID of handle 0x01. Please note, that every (?) other function with ''aci_gatt_'' prefix located in ''bluenrg_gatt_aci.c'' file has this ''event'' field initialized just like I mentioned, and at the other hand, every function prefixed ''aci_att_'' has not.Please help me verify if this is something wrong with my code, or it's a bug. Posted on April 12, 2016 at 10:51Hello, I want to update the BlueNRG-MS inside my application. According to AN4491, page 12, you should not erase sector 0 by using aci_updater_erase_sector command. Because sector 0 is the Updater sector. When I update the BlueNRG-MS with the BlueNRG GUI V1.9.0  (Tools -> BlueNRG updater... ) sector 0 is erased. Why? #bluenrg-ms-update-sector

This protocol is based on ''Basic Packet'' (no StAck nor Wmbus) with : 12 bytes preamble 2 bytes Sync Word variable length payload No address sent No Control sent CRC 0x8005 Is it possible to obtain this with the SP1ML module? Posted on April 04, 2016 at 10:58When I load a webpage from  this module with some images (not so big and non so many) the module became slow and often kill the connection (timeout). I suppose this behavior came from the limited amount of RAM, as evinced even in other posts, but maybe someone have a suggestion for a better result.Otherwise, in my opinion, the internal webserver is useful only for config purpouse and demonstrations...Stefano
