ST-link not detected and Drivers not listed

I was trying to run a program on STM32CubeIDE1.11.2 and the board lost connectivity. When checking the device manager, it is now listed as unknown usb, as well as stm drivers not being listed when trying to manually assign it. Additionally i tried uninstalling and reinstalling IDE and switching usb ports with no success. The board but dose not indicate any connectivity.

Hi,

STM32CubeIde 1.11.2  uses STLinkServer to check STLink version so you need to install STM32CubeIde with installer (not with update) to have STLinkServer installed.

So first, check that STLinkServer is installed.

Please inform us the updates.

the problem doesn't actually seem to be with the software, after trying a known good board everything worked fine. The only indications I have on the board are the pwr led and now led 8 lights up (I am currently using a stm32f407g-disc1 board)
