When selecting the STM32F429I-DISC1 Board, STM32CubeMX (v6.3.0) sets the LCD clock to 25MHz which is way to high.
The LCD clock for the display should be 6MHz which could be set manually in STMCubeMX configurator on Tab [Clock Configuration] as follows:
PLLSAI --> *N --> X 96
PLLSAI --> /R --> / 4
PLLLCDCLK --> / 8
