Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to install TouchGFX Designer (v4.25.0) but I keep getting this error during setup:
“TouchGFX Setup Error writing to file: C:\TouchGFX\4.25.0\designer\TouchGFXDesigner-4.25.0.exe. Verify that you have access to that directory.”
I've already installed the following STM32 tools:
I’m running the .msi installer for TouchGFX Designer, and the error appears consistently. I’ve followed both:
My installation directory is: C:\TouchGFX
I’ve checked permissions and tried running the installer as administrator, but no luck so far. Has anyone encountered this issue or found a workaround?
Thanks in advance!

I recommend you to create an exception first.

Helo @tejo,
Is the folder empty ? Try to delete it before running the install. Also have you tried another install directory ?

Hi!
Thanks for answering.
The folder "TouchGFX" is created during the installation process when i run the .msi file.
When i get the error the folder is not empty. Also, I've tried differente directories: C:\, users, etc.
But now i see the problem is related to a specific file that is flagged by the antivirus.
I don't know if I should create an exception. Maybe I will try a earlier version of touchgfx and hope not to get the same error. What do you think?
Thanks.
Best,
Tejo
