Hello, how is everyone doing ?
I am making this post because I just received a Riverdi STM32 Embedded display for my last ever studying project, as I will use it to replace 7-seg, buttons and keybord. I made a simple connection for the power supply (I soldered two wires on the connector, to avoid cutting the given cable, as I want to use it later in the final version of my project. My problem is that when I turn on the power, the screen switches on but only displays a black screen at maximum brightness. I tried reseting the device with the back button, and also created a simple TouchGFX project to display a png image and the memory flash of the microcontroller with ST-Link v2 works fine but once the flash is done, the screen goes back to the very bright black screen state.
I have made some research but have not found anything interesting, so I make this post hoping that someone already had this issue or has a solution. In the meantime I have also contacted Riverdi, but I want an answer as soon as possible, so I ask your community !
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
yes I did try some examples, and nothing worked.
Anyways I finally found my problem, which was about the fcp tape that connected the LCD screen. It is a bit short so it must have slipped out of the connector, but it was not visible when I turned the screen to see the PCB, as it was right next to where it was supposed to be.
So thanks for your time trying answering my problem, but it was only an hardware issue !
Here is the tape that caused the disfunctioning for anyone passing by this thread :)

Hi,
my magic crystal ball isn't working right now, so i dont know, what you have:
- a 12" TFT , ok,
but : with EVE chip, on SPI connected or ...? or custom board, or... ?

Hello,
I have order this one : https://riverdi.com/product/12-1-inch-lcd-display-stm32-embedded-display-capacitive-touch-panel-optical-bonding-tft-lcd-screen-stm32h7-rvt121hvsfwca0-b
It is not a custom board, it is a generic one, but I only wanted a mounting frame because I will need one. I don't really undrestand your first question, I am sorry ...
Also, the revision of my PCB is REV1.6, i hope that will help.

Hi,
so for this embedded TFT+cpu first: did you try using an example ?
