I know that the subject was already covered and concluded as st-link v1 has different hardware than v2 version.
Just quickly looked into schematic and it seems that the MCU is the same as in v2 version (not v2-1). So maybe simple hw fix would enable us to use this pretty old board with new firmware? I have plenty of these boards in my drawer and wanted them to re-fresh...
Does anyone succeeded in converting the STM32VLDiscovery st-link v1 into v2?
