STM32CubMx_L0 does not start.

Just installed fresh, not an update for an upcoming seminar. It installs. When I try to launch it, I get the windows warning about unknown publisher.  Reply with open, and nothing happens. Ive tried launching from icon, start menu, and Program Files. no joy. Tried uninstall and re-install. tried restarting.

Worked here on a Win 7 x64 with no grief.

Consider version of Windows and Java. User rights, installed paths.

Good to know.  I am actually running in VMware Fusion Windows 7 x64.  What seems a little strange is it got installed in Program Files (x86)
