We are looking for a replacement of Infenion microcontroller SAF-XC164CS-16F40F BB. Can you please suggest a suitable ST Microcontroller?

Since there is usually no pin-compatible replacement for MCUs, certainly not with 5V supply voltage, you have to pick the appropriate type from the thousands of STM32 derivatives according to your requirements. The product selector available online, for example, helps with this, where you can filter according to your parameters.

Hope that helps?

Do you have some part numbers that you can suggest as a replacement to SAF-XC164CS-16F40F BB controller? We will modify the controller power & wherever applicable to +3.3V from +5V

As already mentioned, you can select the appropriate derivative online using the URL above, as no one here knows which parameters of the XC164 are essential for your application. For example, if you need the two CAN modules, you could consider e.g.:

There are also derivatives with CAN-FD like e.g.:

And this list is far from complete, so you can see that more requirements are needed to narrow it down. But you can set them as filter parameters online, as mentioned, so that you can narrow down the list quite quickly.
