There is a global chip shortage going on for well over a year now. STM32 is heavily impacted by this due to its popularity. If you order now, current lead times from distributors are around a year.
The old model of expecting there to always be stock at a distributor is gone. You will need to plan far in ahead if you want chips in any significant quantity.
The only statement I can find by ST says it is expected to last until at least 2023:
