Has anyone used profiling tool of IAR?

hello,

I need to use profiling tool to improve arith performance,and I get the infomation that J-LINK can support profiling tool in hardware simulation.

However,when push the start button of profiling tool window,only get the log message :''no cycle counter''.

Has anyone know the reason?

As described in EWARM user guide section DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE C-SPY DRIVERS(page 208): The Cycle counter statistics are not available for J-Link and J-Trace and Profiling works provided that enough breakpoints are available. That is, the application is executed in RAM.

thanks for your answer.I have read the page,It seems that Cycle counter statistics is not supported by all debug tools at present.It is avaliable only in simulator mode. though it is really important in arith development
